Tuple is planned to create machines of the type. UAZ for President or Government Limousine (Cortege program)

As a rule, the heads of major world states travel in cars specially made to order for them. Usually these are armored models executive class equipped with a special set of security features. It is interesting that certain information about these cars is classified, so it is almost impossible to accurately name their cost and the full range of options available inside.

Review

It is difficult to say which of the heads of state in the world has the “coolest” transport, since at first glance all the cars are outwardly good. But one thing is certain: leaders major countries, in which Automotive industry, move on domestic models. For example, the President of Italy, popularizing local auto industry, drives a five-meter Lancia Thema sedan. The head of the Czech Republic received a new generation Superb as a gift from the Skoda auto concern. For more than six decades, all French presidents have been driving only the car of their country.

The exception is Vladimir Putin. Today he is driving an armored Mercedes S600 Pullman. Glancing at the cars of the current president of the Russian Federation, we can unequivocally conclude that at work the head of our state prefers premium german cars, although there are models in his personal garage domestic brands cars, some of which are rare value.

Pullman armor reliably protects against grenades and machine guns. The car is also equipped with a pressurization system in case there is a gas attack. The salon of this limousine is more like a mini-office: the Russian president has the opportunity to resolve state issues while being directly in the car. Information about options and how it works internal systems security is a secret. However, according to preliminary estimates, such a limousine cost at least nine hundred thousand euros.

Earlier Russian leaders traveled in armored limousines ZIL-41052. The intelligence of the United States for a long time could not find out their secret. And only after the collapse of the USSR, the Americans purchased and dismantled the ZIL-41052. It turned out that the Russians had not reinforced its frame with armor. Our designers managed to create a special armored capsule, and a car was already assembled around it. The President of the Russian Federation has long wanted to transfer to domestic model car. And such an opportunity will present itself very soon. To this end, a completely new "Cortege" was created.

The car, the photo of which is presented below, will be available to everyone at the beginning of 2018.

general information

Ordinary citizens hardly know that all the cars of the Russian head of state belong to structural unit FSO - Garage special purpose. The history of its existence dates back to 1921, when the Council of People's Commissars allocated several cars designed to serve Lenin and his family. However, the date of birth of GON can be considered 1906, when the Imperial motorized garage was created at the court of Nicholas II. The cars that were in it, after the revolution, were inherited by the Bolshevik government.

Today, the main means of transportation of the head of the Russian state is an armored "Mercedes" class S, model Grand Pullman. It, depending on the goals, is sometimes changed to Mercedes Sprinter, VW Caravelle or BMW 5-Series.

The elongated executive limousine of the president was made on special order. Its length is 6.2 meters. The assembly of this machine was carried out in conditions of strict secrecy. According to some reports, it weighs about three tons. This "weight" is primarily due to the massive armor of the body, as well as the presence of special tires that can withstand not only shots, but also grenade explosions. However, despite such a tangible mass, the current president's car has quite decent dynamics, which is provided by a 400-horsepower engine with a displacement of six liters. However, it is known that Putin prefers technology domestic production. Even the helicopters he flies are Russian Mi-8s. That is why the Cortege project was launched on his initiative.

New cars of the head of state

It is already known that the elected President of Russia will arrive at the inauguration in 2018 in a new super limousine. Photos of this car have already been exposed in the media. It is known that the "Cortege" - the car of the President of Russia - will look much better than the "mega-Cadillac" of its American counterpart. From now on, the head of our state can be seen leaving not from a special version, but from a domestically produced limousine. What are the cars of the Cortege project, their photos, specifications- all this will be presented in this article. About twelve billion rubles were planned for the creation of this ambitious program, according to the media, and only 3.61 billion rubles will be transferred directly from the budget. A whole family of limousines will be created for this amount. Russian production.

"Cortege" - a car, the photo of which is presented below, will be produced not only for the first persons of our state. Several modifications are provided. SUVs, sedans - cars of the "Cortege" series - will be mass-produced. It is assumed that at least five thousand units will be produced per year, which will be sold, including to private individuals.

The lineup

Cars "Cortege" of Russian production will be presented in several versions. According to the program, a sedan, limousine, minivan and SUV produced under this program will soon appear. Of course, not everyone will be equipped with “presidential” armor, special communications, etc. Only the Cortege of the President of Russia will have a special assembly. The new car is supposed to be purchased for other representatives of the authorities. Upon prior request, certain additional options can be installed on them.

Both domestic and world automotive industry experts already today admit that Cortege cars will be very popular not only among government officials, but also among wealthy businessmen. However, do not think that this will be a commercial project. After all, since Soviet times, for the first time in Russia, “its own” supercar will appear, which will be driven by both the head of state and his escorts. Cars of the Cortege project, as you know, include a limousine for the President of Russia, as well as support vehicles with SUV and minibus bodies intended for accompanying persons.

Description

First of all, the Cortege is the car of the President of Russia. Therefore, for cars of this level, the limousine of the head of state will be provided with an armored capsule, communication and special communications systems, multimedia devices, means for protecting against listening or intercepting information, evacuation, radio-electronic options for power defense. Presidential cars "Cortege" will be equipped with tires that work even after heavy shelling. A disc system will be installed on them so that the limousine can, if necessary, drive even without tires. Another innovation will be a special gas tank. It is said that even without security vehicles and a territory cleared by the FSO, which is impossible in reality, people in this vehicle will be protected from an enemy helicopter, a drone, as well as from grenades and a machine gun.

Additional Information

Today, many experts are interested in what the Cortege cars are. Needless to say, this is a fictitious name. In FSUE NAMI - the Automotive Research Institute - the project is called the "Unified Modular Platform", short for EMP. This uncomplicated name is explained by many. After all, we are talking not only about the presidential limousine, but also about several other models that have a single technical “stuffing”.

It must be said that modular platforms are widely used today in the automotive industry. Not a single well-known car company in the world can do without them. The most famous representatives of the modular family in Russia are MQB, which combines Audi models, Volkswagen, Skoda and SEAT, as well as B0, which is used for Renault, Lada, Nissan, Dacia cars.

"Single Modular Platform"

It was developed by US, but already at the initial stage, very serious German partners joined this project. These are Bosch Engineering and Porsche Engineering. The last to be developed was one of the two engines that power Russian-made Cortege vehicles. According to media reports, this unit was created on the basis of an existing Porsche V8 engine with a volume of 4.6 liters, however, in the domestic specification, its cubic capacity was reduced to 4.4 liters. However, it must be said that the performance of the engine will not suffer from this: it is expected that with the help of the existing two turbochargers, the Cortege cars will have a power of up to 600 Horse power and a torque of 880 Nm.

Specifications

The second motor, which will be equipped with "Cortege" - a new Russian car is V12. It is developed directly in NAMI. This engine was first demonstrated on International Motor Show in Moscow in 2016. With a volume of 6.6 liters and the support of a pair of two-stage turbines, the engine will develop 860 hp. forces and 1000 Nm of torque. Traction is supplied to the wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission, produced by the Russian company "Kate". According to some reports, an electric motor is built into the “automatic”, the working name of which is R932, instead of a torque converter. Thanks to this innovation, Cortege vehicles will have all the advantages of a hybrid drive. By the way, a similar transmission device is provided for both Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Acceleration time for all models is seven seconds, and maximum speed, which they can develop - 250 kilometers per hour.

Design models "Cortege"

The new photo of which can already be seen in the media is very often discussed by experts. Behind last years Several dozen versions of sketches of all models of the series were published. It is already known that the main style of the supercar was developed at NAMI in the division "Russian automotive design". However final version The lineup will only be seen at the end of 2017. There are only sketches presidential limousine. They were published in the bulletin issued by Rospatent in 2017.
A year earlier, the design of the front panel of the car was declassified in the same department of Russia. The photo shows a generous leather and wood finish, giving appearance undeniably a noble sight.

As in the case with single platform, as well as engines and transmissions, the interior design of the entire model range - limousine, crossover, sedan and minibus - will be similar. Judging by the pictures published in the press, all of them will be equipped with a digital dashboard, a sufficiently large screen and, of course, two “washers” that regulate the climate control inside the cars. They are provided for both the driver and front passenger. It is not difficult to guess that the presidential limousine will also have climate system for the rear passenger.

Dimensions

To date, the preliminary parameters of the cars of the Cortege series are already known. executive limousine has a length of 5800-6300 mm, a width of 2000-2200 mm with a wheelbase of 3400-3800, and a height of 1600-1650.

SUV class escort vehicles have slightly different parameters. Their length is 5300-5700, width - 2000-2100, wheelbase- 3000-3300, and height - 1850-1950 millimeters.

The parameters of the minibus are also very impressive. Its length is 5400-5800 mm, width - 2000-2100 with a wheelbase of 3200-3500 and a height of 1900-2200.

Involvement of foreign companies

Perhaps one of the most famous foreign companies that took part in the project is the Swedish Haldex. Her systems all-wheel drive well known to motorists. However, only one of its divisions took part in the project, which produces pneumatic brakes. They are often used on executive limousines.

At the same time, Brembo was working on the brakes of the Cortege series - enough well-known manufacturer from Italy, whose products are often installed on sports and racing cars. There is another company on the list of co-executors of the project - the famous French Valeo, which produces auto components. IN Nizhny Novgorod it has a production of windshield wipers and lighting systems.

The list of creators of domestic presidential transport also includes Harman Connected. It specializes in audio systems manufactured under the Bang&Olufsen and Harman/Kordon brands. They are installed on models premium brands automotive giants such as BMW and Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, etc. In the Cortege project, Harman Connected was engaged in software development. This company also has a representative office in Nizhny Novgorod. She developed software for multimedia systems for the president's car, as well as for the first persons of our state.

Already in January 2014, in Novo-Ogarevo, Russian President Putin was able to evaluate the prototype of a VIP limousine called "Cortege". He liked the car, he even got behind the wheel of a model, but then it was impossible to talk about full-fledged testing.

Putin saw "prototype A", which by the end of 2017 will be at the disposal of the Federal Security Service. The developers initially warned that they would not be able to quickly design the entire car from scratch. However, they identified several key components that are characterized as a "purely Russian product." This is the body, from its design to its structure, the engine is a sign of the brand, the transmission, as the world's first presidential limousine is all-wheel drive, the chassis, including the tuning of components and components from already well-known firms, electronics - engine, chassis and transmission control.

Recently, new patent images and photographs of cars of the Cortege project appeared on the Web, the development of which was initiated by Vladimir Putin himself, recently appeared on the Web. Below: the first spy photos of the Cortege SUV.

Developed by the Central Research Automobile and Automotive Institute"NAMI" in Moscow in cooperation with several Russian companies in the field of design and engineering.

The list of cars includes a limousine for both Putin and other high-ranking officials, as well as a whole line of cars. special purpose, which will definitely include a minivan, a short sedan and an SUV.

The last time information about the project "Cortege" appeared in April, when photos were published in Russian news feeds scale model car and real model salon for members of the government. The latest news on the Cortege project reveals patent images of a regular sedan and an SUV in two versions. We thank the drom.ru portal and the Instagram user under the nickname @duble13 for the information.

Big premium SUV does not look like any patent image, so we are not sure if this is a different model or one of the design directions that car makers are working on in this moment. At the same time, something British is clearly visible in all cars - both sedans subtly resemble Rolls-Royce Phantom, and a couple of crossovers are similar to Land Rover and Bentley (the EXF-9 concept and Bentayga model, respectively).

Porsche is also involved in the development, who were called to help develop powertrains, among which will be V8 and V12 engines.

In April, information was announced that the first cars of the Cortege project were already in 2017, and President Putin would get the very first car. The biggest customer of the new brand will obviously be the Russian government, but the Minister of Trade and Industry Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that anyone can purchase each of these cars.

The President of the Russian Federation travels on special armored vehicles Mercedes brand. However, at the moment, a new executive class car is being developed, designed for trips of the first persons of the state. The so-called project "Cortege" will soon become the main means of transportation for the president.

The creators of the project "Cortege"

The official name of the "Cortege" is "Single Modular Platform". Cars of this project will be produced by Aurus brand. The name of the brand consists of two Latin words: aurum (gold) and Russia (Russia).

In the development of the project, assistance will be provided by specialists from the Russian car company"Sollers". The development itself is carried out under the control of the state scientific center of Russia "Central Research automotive institute US". Today, the NAMI center is a leading scientific company in the field of mechanical engineering. In turn, the development presidential car produced by NAMI with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

In the fall of 2013, Decree No. 1642-r was signed, which allowed the NAMI organization to develop the project without holding a competition. FSUE "NAMI" is the only executor of the state order and the developer of a "pilot project for the development and production of domestic cars on the basis of a single modular platform that ensures the creation of vehicles for the transportation of the first government officials and other persons under state protection.

When will the debut of the new car take place?

It is expected that the car will appear on public display at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Russian Federation after the 2018 elections. The Russians will be able to see the new presidential car, which will surpass even a special car american president Barack Obama. Russian transport will have the most a high degree protection, it will be equipped with all types of communications and, of course, armored.

The main purpose of creating these cars is the transportation and escort of the head of state and other high-ranking officials. But the creators of the project are also planning to release passenger unarmored vehicles from the same series, designed for mass production. Crossovers and minivans will go on sale in a small batch of 200-300 pieces. Their release is scheduled for 2018-2019. Cars for private individuals will not be equipped with armor and special communications, like the president's car. In the future, the vehicles of the EMP project will go on sale in the markets of the Middle East and China, but it is too early to talk about the export of vehicles.

Assembly Vehicle will be produced at Ulyanovsk car factory, which is engaged in the production of UAZ. The latest news says that after the successful launch of the presidential car in 2018, negotiations will be held on organizing the production of minibuses of the Cortege project.

The history of the creation of the project "Cortege"

The development of the project began in 2013. It included the creation and production of premium cars intended for the head of state and other officials under state protection. The production itself was planned for 2017-2018. It is known that the budget of the project, according to the Kommersant publishing house, is estimated at 12.5 billion rubles. In 2016, 3.5 billion rubles were allocated from the state budget for the development of transport.

According to some reports, in mid-2017, the NAMI organization suspended its activities related to the development of off-road vehicles for a certain period due to a lack of Money. For this reason, it was decided to direct all available resources primarily to the creation of a presidential limousine, an escort sedan and a minivan. However, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov denied this information about the lack of finance for the construction of cars. “I didn’t even understand who said it. All work is going according to plan,” the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade told the press. By the way, Manturov confirmed that the President of the Russian Federation, elected in 2018, will arrive at the inauguration ceremony in a new car of the Cortege project. Manturov also clarified that until then the car would not be shown to anyone in order to keep the intrigue. In the summer of 2017, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the current president of Russia, tested special vehicles.

On November 20 last year, the developers announced that they had begun assembling the first 14 cars. The first batch of 16 vehicles of the project entered the Federal Security Service at the end of 2017. Among these cars were EMP-4123 sedans and EMP-412311 limousines. Retail sale of cars of the Cortege project will most likely be only in 2019. The cost of such a vehicle varies from 6 to 8 million rubles.

As you know, until the 2000s, the first persons of the state moved to Soviet limousines ZIL-41047. During the reign of Vladimir Putin, the president's vehicle was replaced by a Mercedes-Benz.

Complete set and power unit of cars of the project "Cortege"

Several options available for sale. power unit created by NAMI:

  1. 4-cylinder engine, power 250 hp;
  2. 8-cylinder engine, 650 hp (together with Porsche Engineering);
  3. 12-cylinder engine, power 850 hp;
  4. 6-cylinder diesel (for SUV).

All engines will be equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission gears.

The organization plans to produce cars by level of equipment in five price categories:

  1. "Business". The closest analogue is Mercedes-Benz ML worth 2-3 million rubles (10-20 thousand cars per year);
  2. "Premium". The closest analogue is the Mercedes-Benz 500, GL worth 3-5 million rubles (3-5 thousand cars per year);
  3. "Lux". The closest analogue is Mercedes AMG, Porsche worth 5-10 million rubles;
  4. "Luxury". The closest analogue is Rolls-Royce Ghost, Bentley Flying Spur worth 15-20 million rubles (500 cars per year);
  5. "Exclusive". The closest analogue is Bentley Continental GT costing from 20 million rubles and more (50-100 cars per year).

What are Cortege cars capable of?

Experts in this field have already recognized that the cars of the Cortege project will be in demand among businessmen and government officials, because for the first time the Russian Federation has its own supercar, one of which will be driven by the president himself.

In 2013, the government banned public procurement of foreign-made cars. IN this case we are not talking about Russian assemblies of foreign cars. Nevertheless, for the first persons of the state, all cars, components, assemblies, and even the smallest spare parts will undergo a thorough check by security services for various vulnerabilities and “bookmarks”. These vehicles will be equipped with a special communication system, multimedia systems, means of protection against eavesdropping and interception of communications, evacuation systems and all kinds of other "gadgets". This car will be on the move even after a heavy shelling of tires, thanks to a system of disks on which the limousine can move without tires. Also in the limousine will be a special self-sealing fuel tank and a fire extinguishing system, which will avoid various kinds of trouble. Inside there are oxygen tanks in case of a gas attack, compartments for storing weapons and so on.

What is inside the car of the Cortege project, and how it is protected, one of the creators of the vehicle told the head of state. This person also shared with journalists that even on the territory not cleared by the FSO, the president's car will meet rivals fully armed, namely with drones, grenade and machine gunners. However, the creator of the car did not disclose more detailed subtleties for security reasons. detailed information about armored cars is kept in strict confidence.

The style of the limousine is similar to Stalin's ZIS-115 limousine, but inside there is not a single detail similar to previous presidential cars.

According to experts, the car of the American president is able to withstand attacks, and the car of the Russian president is even ready for war. The car is able to survive a small nuclear explosion at a certain distance. “It will be power, strength, greatness, technology and safety, and all this in one limousine,” said one of the development specialists, “But any detailed description will be considered a violation of state secrets.

According to the specialist, the Federal Security Service will receive the car of the project in advance in order to study it and master it, as well as for driver training, because all cars differ in dynamics, acceleration, behavior on the road, and so on, and you need to take into account each parameter, prepare for possible emergencies during the trip. NAMI employees do not hide the fact that a photo of a car can get on the Internet, but no one will know for sure what is inside the Cortege project in advance.

Suppliers of parts for cars "Cortege"

The developers of vehicles with the official name "Single Modular Platform" are actively selecting suppliers of parts for the project's vehicles. Contractors became known from some sources:

  • production electric windows the Samara group of companies "AVTOCOM" is engaged in. This industrial group produces a huge range of spare parts for Russian engineering plants.
  • Stabilizer struts front and rear suspension produced in the Chelyabinsk region by the TREK company. This organization produces suspension parts for such automotive companies as GAZ, AvtoVAZ, PSMA Rus, as well as for a number of other enterprises.
  • Armored glass is manufactured by Magistral LTD, located in the Vladimir region. It is known that this company was entrusted with the production of armored glass for the main machine project "Cortege" - presidential limousine EMP-41231SB. To date, Magistral LTD is the largest manufacturer of glass for armored vehicles throughout Russia. According to some reports, it is assumed that glass for unarmored cars will be manufactured by the Moscow company Mosavtosteklo.
  • Car tires are developed at the Nizhnekamsk Tire Plant. It produces tires for both conventional and armored vehicles. As mentioned above, for the special vehicles of the president, unique impenetrable tires on high-strength discs are produced. The discs were produced at the Chelyabinsk Forging and Pressing Plant.
  • FSUE NAMI ordered interior trim panels from the Samara company AI-2, which is also major supplier parts for UAZ, GAZ and AvtoVAZ.
  • Steering knuckles, tie rods, hubs, suspension arms and other parts were ordered from the Belebeevsky Avtokomplekt plant.
  • Leather for interior trim is produced by the Russian Leather holding. This holding recently opened a new leather production in the Moscow region, which is the largest in Europe.
  • Interior heating and ventilation systems will be supplied by IPROSS, a company from Tolyatti. The company began preparing parts back in 2016.

And this is not the whole list of suppliers who prepare parts for the Cortege. Each project participant must maintain confidentiality, because NAMI has strictly forbidden its partners to disclose any information about the production of project details. It is assumed that NAMI cooperates with 130 companies for the production of various automotive parts. Thus, NAMI is the most major project Russian car industry for the last few year s.

The large-scale government project "Cortege", within the framework of which a limousine for the president is being created in Russia, cover cars in the bodies of SUVs and minibuses, as well as an executive sedan, crossover and minibus on the United modular platform(EMP), went to the finish line. The general contractor of the project is the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Research Automobile Institute (NAMI)", which has been creating the "Cortege" for the past three years. Already in the coming weeks, by December 31, 2016, NAMI must complete the work stipulated by the state contract. In particular, by this time the institute will transfer the first Kremlin limousines to the disposal of the Special Purpose Garage (GON). Approbation in real conditions will be 12 copies, which will be tested by employees (FSO). After that, NAMI will be engaged in limited production of cars for the political elite and persons subject to state protection.

Officially the first recent history Russian limousine head of state own production will be presented on the day of the presidential inauguration in April 2018.

Nevertheless, despite the fact that the project, unprecedented in its ambitions, for which more than 8 billion rubles have already been spent. from the budget, is coming to an end, for all the time that the development of the EMP and the models themselves based on it was carried out, there was little information in the media about what these cars would be like. It was only known that the engines for the Cortege models NAMI helped develop Porsche company engineering. In addition, the media reported that the well-known Austrian company Magna could become a supplier of components.

As Gazeta.Ru found out, having studied the package of documents of the state contract concluded between US and , another 130 companies and institutions were involved in the creation of cars for the first persons of the state, 50 of which are foreign, including those that have representative offices and production in Russia.

Foreign companies: brakes, software, audio equipment, climate control, door unlocking and engine start mechanisms and other details

Perhaps one of the most famous foreign companies that took part in the project is the Swedish Haldex, whose all-wheel drive systems are known to most motorists. However, not the entire concern became a co-executor of the Cortege, but its division Haldex Brake Products, which produces pneumatic brake systems. Such brakes are often used on heavy wheeled vehicles and are also suitable for multi-ton armored limousines.

At the same time, Brembo, a well-known Italian manufacturer brake systems used on sports and racing cars.

The list of co-executors also includes another well-known company - French manufacturer and auto parts supplier Valeo. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the company has a production facility where windshield wipers and lighting systems are made.

Among the creators of presidential transport is Harman Connected Services, which is part of the structure of the American group of companies Harman. Harman is known to many car owners for its audio systems, which are produced under the Harman / Kordon and Bang & Olufsen brands and are installed on premium cars: BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and other auto companies. As for Harman Connected Services, she is engaged in software development. Apparently, this company, which has a representative office in Nizhny Novgorod, could develop software for multimedia systems for the car of the president and the first persons of the state.

In addition, the world-famous Swiss family company Daniel Herz, which produces acoustic systems, took part in the project. It can be assumed that the descendants of the physicist Heinrich Hertz, who proved the existence of electromagnetic waves, were responsible for the musical accompaniment of the trips of the country's top officials.

It is noteworthy that Daniel Herz itself does not specialize in audio systems directly for cars. But this is done by Mark Levinson, which is part of its structure.

It is worth noting that during the presidency in the residence in Gorki there were installed speakers and amplifiers Daniel Herz, the total cost of which could be about $ 80 thousand.

Another foreign manufacturer, who joined the Cortege, is the Chinese group U-shin, and in particular its division in Slovakia. The company is a major manufacturer auto components such as keys, door locks, gas filler flaps and filler caps fuel tank, door handles, systems keyless entry, sensors and mechanisms of gearboxes, engine start systems from a button, led backlight license plates, as well as air conditioning units and all kinds of switches. The company's clients are such automakers as Mazda, Honda, Suzuki.

Body parts for the creation of 10 prototypes of FSUE "NAMI" ordered in Korea, DNK TECH CO., LTD. Each set consisted of 70 parts and was only suitable for testing.

It is noteworthy that neither Magna nor Porsche are mentioned in the government contract documentation.

Russian manufacturers: armor, catapults, glass and electrics

Of course, the project could not have done without Russian companies and institutions, which were largely responsible for the safety of Cortege vehicles.

So, for example, the National Research Nuclear University was involved in the development.

The institution includes a large number of various specialized institutes, and why NAMI decided to use the services of MEPhI specialists remains a mystery.

The press center of NRNU MEPhI was unable to promptly answer Gazeta.Ru's questions, but promised to do so later.

PJSC "Plant of buildings", located in the city of Vyksa ( Nizhny Novgorod Region), almost certainly dealt with all aspects of the body armor of the president's limousine. At least the enterprise has been providing manufacturing services for many years. armored corps various vehicles, including military and special purposes. In particular, the plant created armored hulls for various modifications Armored personnel carrier and armored car "Tiger".

The first persons will look out the window through glasses made at one of the oldest glassware factories in Russia, Mosavtosteklo. The site of the plant indicates that it manufactures fire-resistant and armored glass for road transport.

Gazeta.ru failed to contact representatives of these enterprises.

The participation in the development of the "Cortege" of the Research Institute "Geodesy" is also curious. This federal state-owned enterprise (controlled by the Department of Industry of Conventional Arms, Ammunition and Special Chemicals of the Ministry of Industry and Trade) has at its disposal test site military-industrial complex of Russia. Thus, the armor protection of the presidential limousine could be tested here.

Additional protection for government transport can be the products of OAO NPO Zvezda im. Academician Severin. The enterprise is engaged in the production of individual life support systems for pilots and cosmonauts, means of rescuing crews and passengers in case of aircraft accidents.

What kind of participation "Zvezda" took in the "Cortege" project is unknown. However, based on the list of products that the plant makes, it can be assumed that the company has equipped Cortege vehicles with stationary fire extinguishers and emergency oxygen units with masks that can provide a person with clean air in the event of a chemical attack for up to 15 minutes.

It cannot be completely ruled out that Zvezda could adapt its aviation systems personally under the car created from scratch for the president. For example, by creating in them something similar to ejection seats.

True, what is the role of the enterprise in creating government cars, even the Zvezda employees themselves do not know. So, in the education department of the enterprise, Gazeta.Ru was assured that they had not heard about the Cortege, but still asked to send questions. The company was unable to promptly respond to the request.

The Kopir plant was supposed to contribute to the creation of the Cortege. Located in the Republic of Mari El, the company manufactures automotive fuse boxes, electrical cables and harnesses, power window switches for GAZ, KamAZ, UAZ, Lada, Nissan and other auto companies.

The list of companies that created the president's limousine also included Kama, known for its tires. Scientific and technical center Kama could develop new tire models for government vehicles.

The reception directorate of Kama told Gazeta.Ru that the executive director was unlikely to comment on participation in the Cortege project due to the secrecy of this information, but nevertheless offered to ask questions later.

Also "Cortege" could get wheel disks from several Russian manufacturers such as K&K or Solomon Alsberg, which claims to be the only company in the world that produces customized forged wheels for cars.

Among the co-contractors is also the machine-building plant "Velkont", which produces all kinds of terminals and relays for cars, differential lock switches, sensors (oil level, coolant, position throttle valve and others).

Cars are not only assembled by effort foreign companies, but also tested abroad. So, earlier it was reported that crash tests of cars created under the project were carried out in Germany. Why the testing was carried out in Germany was not specified, but it is known that the test result was considered successful.

According to Gazeta.Ru, as part of the foreign testing phase, Cortege prototypes were taken out, among other things, to one of the most famous race tracks in the world, the Nurburgring, where, among other things, the operation of seat belts was tested.

Deputy CEO FSUE "NAMI" for work with the media Andrey Garmay refused to give "Gazeta.Ru" comments regarding the "Cortege" project.

An armored limousine based on the Unified Modular Platform will become the flagship of the Cortege project car line. Unarmored vehicles will also be built on the same modular platform: the same limousine, sedan, SUV and minibus. All these machines will go on free sale. The first cars within the framework of the Cortege project, which anyone can buy, should be on sale by mid-2018. The first small-scale batch will be no more than 250-300 copies. Who will collect them is still unknown. WE do not have the necessary production capacity, and for , with which the government was negotiating production, the declared order volume was too small.
