    INTRODUCTION

Hyundai for the premiere of the new generation crossover Santa Fe chose the April 2012 New York Auto Show. The car arrived at the exhibition in two versions at once - a five-seater Sport and a seven-seater with an increased wheelbase.

    Hyundai Santa Fe, 5 seater

    Hyundai Santa Fe, 7 seater
Compared to its predecessor, the new Santa Fe has become much more elegant. The design of the crossover is made in the current Fluidic Sculpture corporate style with a hexagonal grille, narrow lighting and numerous stampings.

The salon has become clearly richer and, what is most remarkable, better not only in appearance, but also by touch. The fit of the interior trim parts is impressive - all the gaps are uniform. In the cabin, when driving, the silence is such that you can carry on a conversation in a low voice. Ergonomics driver's seat at height - finding "your" position in the chair is extremely simple, having such a set of different settings. Buttons, knobs and switches are in place. It is worth driving a car for a few minutes, as the management of all systems and subsystems can be performed intuitively. The speedometer, tachometer and similar devices are well readable and understandable. The force applied to the switches is adjusted to tenths of a newton, and from these little things it seems that Santa Fe has taken a big step towards the premium segment.
The base five-seater Santa Fe may be sold with the Sport prefix in various markets. Its overall length is 4690 mm, width - 1880 mm, height - 1680 mm, and the wheelbase - 2700 mm. The seven-seat version of the crossover turned out to be 215 mm longer, 5 mm wider, 10 mm higher, and wheelbase stretched to 2,800 mm, which is 100 mm more than Sport version. But the interior design of both modifications is the same with a new front panel and improved finishing materials.
The car is completed with two petrol engines of 2.4 l (R4) and 3.3 l (V6). Moreover, depending on the market, two different 2.4-liter engines can be installed - with direct and port injection. As well as two diesel engines of 2.0 l and 2.2 l of a new generation (more powerful, with best performance economy). Engines are aggregated with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission gears.
McPherson type front suspension and multi-link rear suspension provide excellent handling, increased ride comfort, and improved vehicle stability when cornering.
This manual provides instructions for the operation and repair of all Hyundai modifications Santa Fe (DM), produced since 2012.

5. Replacing fuses

For guard electrical system fuses are used to protect the vehicle from failure as a result of electrical overload. This car has two (or three) fuse panels. One is located under the panel on the driver's side, the rest are in the engine compartment near the battery. If any of your vehicle's lights, accessories, or controls are not working, check fuse corresponding circuit. If the fuse is blown, the conductor inside it will be melted. If the electrical system does not work, first check the fuse panel on the driver's side. Disconnect the negative battery cable before replacing a blown fuse. Always use a fuse of the same rating to replace a blown fuse. If the fuse blows again after the replacement, this indicates a malfunction of the electrical system components. Avoid using affected systems. We recommend that you consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for advice.

ATTENTION
Always use a fuse of the same rating when replacing a fuse.
Installing a fuse with a large current rating may result in damage and fire.
Do not even temporarily install jumper wires to replace the corresponding fuses. This may damage electrical wiring and the outbreak of fire.
Do not use a screwdriver or any other metal object to remove fuses as this may cause a short circuit and damage the electrical system.
When replacing a blown fuse or relay with a new one, make sure the new fuse or relay fits snugly into the retainers. Incomplete installation of a fuse or relay may result in damage to the vehicle's wiring and electrical systems, and possible fire.
Do not remove fuses, relays and terminals secured with bolts or nuts. Fuses, relays, and terminals may not be fully secured, which could result in a fire.

Hyundai Elantra is more than just another compact sedan, coupe and hatchback. This is an example of how quickly South Korean manufacturers are able to learn lessons, and how quickly they went through a path that took decades from the Japanese automotive companies. The Elantra came from nowhere, but in doing so, it managed to become a real bestseller, one of the best compact cars on the market in the US. Now this car is better than the Corolla, better than the Civic, it competes with the Cruze and Focus. Moreover, the Elantra has been awarded the title of " best sedan North America in 2012".

The size and dimensions of the car are just as important as the economy - this thesis is best embodied in new version Hyundai Accent, which appeared in 2012 and underwent some changes in 2013. The car is bigger than before, it is much better equipped and it opposes itself compact cars like Fiat 500 and Ford Fiesta. The developers thought more about the financial attractiveness and practicality of the car, so it became closer to Honda Fit and Nissan Versa, and structurally has a lot in common with the Kia Rio.

    INTRODUCTION

In 2006, Hyundai introduced the following to the world: Generation Santa Fe. The design and many structural elements of the new car were developed with clean slate. The automaker has spent more than two years and $150 million developing and building a new crossover. The model has become larger, more powerful and more comfortable than the previous one.
Fine-tuned to the smallest detail, a stylish and dynamic appearance with smooth lines is designed in the new corporate style of the brand, the Hyundai bureau, located in California, was responsible for its development. A large and solid, but at the same time rather elegant body looks respectable: massive embossed sides, a large radiator grille, predatory squinted headlights.

New Santa The Fe is taller, wider and longer than its predecessor, allowing for two more seats. If the third row is installed, then seven passengers can easily fit in the cabin. Due to the fact that the seats of the third row fold in relation to 5/5, the second - 6/4, it is possible various options transformation inner space. The maximum possible volume of cargo space is 2.21 m3.

The interior is made in three colors with wooden inserts. Clearly calibrated arrangement of all devices ensures their good readability. The backlight of all devices, buttons and controls is blue, which does not overwork the eyes when long trips V dark time days.

The car is equipped with three engines: a 2.2-liter turbodiesel (150 hp), a 3.3-liter V6 petrol engine (235 hp) and a 2.7-liter V6 petrol (189 hp). Engines are aggregated with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The all-aluminum 2.7L engine is equipped with CVVT (Constantly Variable Valve Technology) and VIS (Variable Intake System) systems, thanks to which it has high torque over a wide rev range and has improved fuel consumption characteristics.
McPherson type front suspension and multi-link rear suspension provide excellent handling, increased ride comfort, and improved vehicle stability when cornering.
The machine is available in three versions. The base Santa Fe GLS has 16 inch wheels, power windows and mirrors with servo and heating, cruise control and a CD player.
The SE model is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlight adjustment, on-board computer and built into steering column stereo control panel.
The Limited package includes SE elements plus leather seats (front heated), power driver's seat adjustment and dual zone climate control. All modifications can be equipped with XM satellite radio.
Options are offered as packages. So, if desired, you can install a third row of seats and a panoramic sunroof, as well as DVD system(only for SE and Limited). The SE offers an upgraded stereo system with a six-disc CD changer, while the Limited has an Infinity surround sound system.
All three models are front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (AWD).
All safety features are standard. All included in the list disc brakes, traction control, stability control, side airbags, active front head restraints and a tire pressure sensor.
This manual provides instructions for the operation and repair of all modifications of Hyundai Santa Fe, produced from 2006 to 2010.

3. REPLACING FUSES

CHECKING THE CONDITION OF FUSES AND THEIR REPLACEMENT

FUSE LINK REPLACEMENT

The fusible link will burn out whenever there is an overload of electrical circuits connected directly to battery thus, it prevents damage to the entire electrical wiring of the car. (This overload may be due to the presence of too high current due to short circuit in system). If this happens, contact a specialist workshop Hyundai service so they can find the cause, repair the system, and replace the fuse. For the convenience of checking their condition, the fusible links are installed in the relay box.

REPLACEMENT OF FUSES OF ELECTRIC CIRCUIT OF AUXILIARY SYSTEMS

Fuse box for lighting system and others auxiliary systems located below the driver's dashboard. Inside this box is a diagram showing which circuits each fuse protects. Reason for rejection lighting device or other electrical system may well be a blown (open) fuse. If the fuse is blown, the metal strip inside the fuse will break. If you think the fuse has blown, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the ignition and all other switches.

2. Open the fuse box and check the condition of each fuse. Remove each one by pulling it out towards you with the small pliers found in the relay and fuse box in the engine compartment to make this job easier.

3. Even if you find a blown fuse, be sure to check all the others anyway.

4. Replace by removing the blown fuse and replacing it with a new fuse, which must be securely seated in the contact holder. If this does not happen, contact an authorized station Maintenance to repair or replace a faulty fuse holder. If a spare fuse is not available, a fuse of the same or smaller rating can be used by removing it from a circuit that can be temporarily dispensed with (for example, a radio or cigarette lighter circuit). Do not forget to replace the temporarily removed fuse.

13 Mar Fuses Hyundai Santa Fe

We will devote this article to the topic of the Hyundai Santa Fe fuse box, an inconspicuous thing in a car hidden from view, but if at least one Hyundai Santa Fe fuse fails, you will immediately know about it because which one will refuse to work for you -either the system, for example, power windows, or the high and low beams will not work, or something else. Therefore, knowing or at least having a sheet with the name and function of the fuse being performed can help you a lot in emergency on road.

fuse box hyundai santa fe

Where is the Hyundai Santa Fe fuse box, or rather the blocks, since there are usually two of them in Santa, one in the cabin to the right of the steering column and slightly down, and the second in the engine compartment on the right side if you look at the car interior.

In the cabin, the Hyundai santa fe fuse box is closed with a plastic cover, and in the engine compartment with a massive and strong plastic cover.

What are fuses for?

As a rule, they protect the device behind them, for example, there was some kind of short circuit, from moisture or a bug got between the contacts or something else, and instead of the entire winding of the motor raising the glass burning out, you will simply burn out a penny Hyundai fuse santa fe.

And you do not have to spend a lot of time, nerves and Money acquiring a new power window, installing it - while loosening the fastening of the door panels, and you will not need to spend time installing this device or waiting for the work of the master.

Instead, you simply replace the fuse, which costs a penny and drive on, forgetting about the problem. If, of course, after replacing the blown fuse with a new one, it also immediately melted, then the short circuit is still present and you need to look for its cause. But, and thanks to the fuse, your device did not burn out, which it protects from such non-standard situations, and also prevents the wire winding from igniting due to its heating due to a short circuit.

Hyundai Santa Fe fuse replacement

When replacing a blown fuse in a Hyundai Santa Fe, you need to change it exclusively and only to the same rating that burned out.

For example, you have a 5 Ampere fuse blown, which means you put a new 5 Amp fuse not on 3 not on 10, but on 5. Why exactly, but because all the parameters of devices and fuses were calculated precisely by engineers at the factory.

If you set the value less, for example, 3A, it will most likely burn out for you, unable to withstand the load, since a current of 5 A will flow through it

If you put instead of 5A, for example, 10A, it will not burn out in case of a short circuit, since it is able to pass the current not 5A, but 10A, and because of this, the fuse will remain intact, and the device that it was supposed to protect from breakage will simply burn out and instead of replacing a penny fuse, you will have to purchase for your own and, as a rule, not small funds new unit to replace the burnt one

How to replace a fuse

To replace fuses in removing them from the Hyundai Santa Fe fuse box and not only, a special plastic key is used. The use of any metal objects is not allowed, since you can simply inadvertently close the conclusions of various fuses and you will burn something very important or even the Hyundai Santa Fe ECU - an electronic control unit or simply a car computer. And then prepare a very substantial amount for the computer itself and its replacement.

Where are the hyundai santa fe fuses located

Here is the fuse box in the cabin of the Hyundai Santa Fe

And here is the fuse box in the engine bay

In the cabin, it opens by simply prying into special holes

In the engine compartment by simply snapping off the fasteners

In general, you need to replace the fuses with the ignition off, but ideally, or if you have a blown main fuse, it is better to remove the battery terminals during this procedure to avoid unforeseen situations.
