Ural-4320 is a dual-purpose off-road truck with a 6 × 6 wheel arrangement, produced at the Ural Automobile Plant in Miass (Russia), including for use in the armed forces in the Susha family of unified army vehicles until 1998. Thanks to good unification, most truck parts were borrowed from previous models.

Ural-4320 was designed to transport goods, people and trailers on all types of roads. Since the mid-1990s, a wide bumper with headlights appeared on the Ural-4320 and Ural-5557, and plastic plugs appeared in the wings, at the old headlight attachment points. However, exclusively for the needs of the Ministry of Defense, by special order, cars with a narrow bumper and headlights in the wings are still being delivered.

Since 2009, a new cab with fiberglass front plumage has been installed on cars of the series.

The cause of engine knocking may be: earlier ignition; overheat; wear of pistons, rings, fingers; wear of the crankshaft main bearings; valve adjustment is broken.

High fuel consumption

Carburettors are simple and uneconomical, the consumption is even according to the instruction manual, like that of a Zhiguli, but in reality it is even more. This leads to overheating of the cylinder due to the difference in size until the upper plane of the pistons at the top dead center coincides with the upper edge of the cylinders. In the event that one of the cylinders overheats and nothing can be cured, as an option, it is necessary to check whether the piston at its highest point reaches the upper plane of the cylinder, if not, then this is the problem. To eliminate overheating, it is necessary to bring the symmetry of dimensions, for which, gaskets are removed from under one of the cylinders, and a heat-resistant sealant is used in its place when mounting the cylinder. It is possible to install a thin gasket.

Oil leaks at joints

This disease does not affect the operation of the engine, the leaks are small. But the engine, littered with dust adhering to the oil, has to be washed. Tightening the head covers, oil pan does not help. After replacing the seals after some time, the oil starts to leak again. It also leaks along the seals of the valve stem guide bushings.
