How is the assembly process carried out in Russia?
Both at the Kaliningrad enterprise, where Rio is assembled, and at a similar plant in St. Petersburg, the assembly process has identical technology. Upon release, each future car will have to go through 4 workshops, namely:
- stamping of body components;
- welding cycles (direct body assembly is performed);
- painting (application of protective and ground layers, painting, varnishing with subsequent polishing);

In the manufacture of body panels, the main raw material is special kind steel "Hyundai-Hysco", which has a zinc coating. Before the welding process, the parts are subjected to special control to ensure that their quality conditions comply with regulatory requirements.

Painting is the longest and most meticulous procedure. In addition to the previously mentioned stages of body coating, the parts are thoroughly cleaned and then dried. When hostilities began in Korea, there was a danger of losing production capacity. For this reason, it was decided to transfer the plant to a more stable area. So Kyungsung PrecisionIndustry moved to Busan.
Two, three, four wheels
A huge technological breakthrough can be considered a stable production of two-wheeled bicycles in South Korea. After all, then, in 1952, the war between neighboring states had not yet ended.
Despite the fact that the country in the middle of the last century was one of the poorest in Asia, the plant worked perfectly, several new models appeared. By the name of one of them, the company itself began to be called. Now the corporate name has become: "KIAIndustrialCompany".
2 years after the end of the war, more precisely in 1955, the company acquired another plant. This time the enterprise started working in Shaikhung.
The demand for cheap domestic bicycle equipment was huge. But the company's management did not want to be limited to small things, they decided to release a new one for themselves motor products. Motor scooters began to appear already in 1957. A little later, in 1961, the first Korean motorcycle of the S-100 brand came off the KIA conveyors. Kia Sid cars are produced in many countries. The main supplier for Europe is a plant in Slovakia (the city of Zilina).
KIA Ceed\'s enters the CIS market from Kazakhstan (the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk). The needs of the inhabitants of the Russian Federation are covered by the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant.

Since 2010, Avtotor has launched the production of a new line of cars. Externally, the model has not changed much, but some changes still occurred.
The new KIA Ceed\'s has a stability control system, cruise control and air conditioning with two zones of operation. In addition, the number of airbags has grown to ten.
As mentioned above, large-scale assembly is underway in Kaliningrad (including for Kia Sid). The main work is carried out in Slovakia, from where practically finished cars come to the Russian Federation.

In addition to Russia, Kia Rio is produced in many parts of the world. The main capacities are concentrated in South Korea, where there are five factories. In addition, the machines were produced in the following countries - Ukraine, Turkey, India, China, Indonesia and others.
In the Russian Federation and China there is only one Rio assembly shop. In the USA, the model has been produced since 2009, and in Slovakia since 2006.
As for the quality of the Russian assembly, here the main complaints relate to the quality of the screw pull and the uneven gaps.

The KIA Cerato model is a worthy representative of the South Korean brand. The car belongs to the category of the middle class, was first introduced in 2004.
Cerato 2nd generation appeared four years later, in 2008. The third generation - in 2009. Since the appearance of the new model, the geography of production has gradually expanded.
The car was produced in India, Iran, Ecuador, USA, Russia, Ukraine and a number of other countries.
As for the KIA Cerato, the first and second generation of cars were produced in South Korea, and since 2006 - in the USA. Since 2009, when the 3rd generation cerate appeared.
