I was lucky and at the weekend my child and I visited a very bright event, summing up the results of the competition of children's drawings "Dream Car". The event was very enjoyable for me and my son. Lots of colors, smiles and even the robot Fedya, from which it was quite difficult to tear the children away. See how it was under the cut. 1. Toyota invited children from all over Russia to draw their dream cars. From January 26 to February 26, 2015, within the framework of the national round of the "Dream Car" contest from Toyota brand 1 348 were collected fantastic drawings created by children under 15 years of age without the help of adults. And today the professional jury, which included: the well-known presenter Tutta Larsen, automotive expert Alexander Pikulenko, author and host of programs at the Ekho Moskvy radio station, titled drifter Nikita Shikov, child psychologist Igor Dobryakov and illustrator Igor Oleinikov announced the winners.

9 works from Russia were sent to the international stage of the competition in Japan. In June this year, the winners of the global competition will be announced. Toyota holds the "Dream Car" contest every year, about 75 countries of the world take part in the project. This year the national stage of the competition was held in Russia for the first time.

What boy doesn't stare at cars sooner or later? And my son is no exception. Dad told him everything about our car. And now our child will give a lecture about the Toyota car to anyone. But, every time, meeting a new model or brand of car unknown to him, he freezes in a state: “what is it?”. And, of course, you have to answer. So I tightened up my knowledge about car syndicates and their products. But the next stage of my son's enthusiasm made me and him figure out how to draw a car so that it looks as much like a real one as possible. About the results of our research work I will tell.

How to choose the right model

First of all, we got to know the engineering industry better, learned what main parts and parts a car consists of. We looked at the pictures and many photos before choosing suitable model which we decided to draw.

And here the most interesting began. To draw someone alive, we always examine his character, features and habits. But the car is not alive. Does he have something that makes him different? And as it turned out, there is! And features, and even character. It is easy to attribute to these two points the possibilities that the designers endowed their equipment with. Namely, the speed technical points, appearance and interior comfort.

We learned that the machines themselves are different:

Passenger cars, such as sports, limousines, family, sedans, minivans, coupes, station wagons, hatchbacks, etc.;
Freight (refrigerators, trucks, dump trucks);
Buses;
Special. For example, truck cranes or firefighters.

And since we decided to draw cool car, then explored different models taking into account the fact that its speed and maneuverability were at its best, and it looked like it was worthy. And our choice fell on sports car.

How to draw a car
