Most owners of used cars sooner or later come to the decision that it is better to buy a new car.

This is much more profitable than constantly investing in maintaining the viability of an overgrown cramp, even if it is a “cool boomer”.

Motorists are increasingly turning their eyes from European auto junk to cars that have just rolled off the assembly line.

Fortunately, a considerable number of foreign auto giants directed their interests to the Russian market and invested in the production and assembly of cars in the Russian Federation, which made it possible to significantly reduce prices.

For modern Russia three main types of machines are relevant:

1. large black "geldings", preferably with a flasher;
2. the remnants of the Soviet car industry, which, to their credit, the AvtoVAZ-Renault-Nissan association, have become much better;
3. cheap and preferably new foreign cars.

So, our seven (a sacred number for a Russian person) of the cheapest new foreign cars. "Toy" Indian "ta-ta-na-na" and other crafts unsuitable for our roads are not taken into account. In the field of view were only those cars that are officially delivered (or assembled) and serviced on the territory of the Russian Federation.

To make the comparison fair, we took into account the cost of cars in the minimum configuration (the prices given in the text are current as of 11/6/13).

7th place

The seventh place is occupied by a cute baby Kia Picanto (367 200 rubles).

This car is not allowed into Western Europe, so as not to spoil its reputation. Nevertheless, in our conditions the car showed itself well: the suspension, largely borrowed from the Renault 19, is strong and reliable, the ground clearance is high, the engine is undemanding to domestic fuel.

In the minimum equipment - a driver's pillow, an ashtray and a "normal" spare wheel. The car is quite large and very rationally planned, the inside is much more spacious than it seems from the outside.

The interior is spartan, but neat in a European way. The team of machines built on the B0 platform designed for Logan includes Lada Largus. Not being officially a foreign car, it is in no way inferior to its counterparts with a diamond-shaped nameplate.

5th place

Fifth place in the top of new ultra-cheap foreign cars Chery Bonus (359 999 rubles). True, a limited batch of last year's cars that were not sold out in a year are sold from 299,999 rubles.

The Chinese liftback with a one and a half liter engine is simply royally equipped: in the base there is air conditioning, power steering, a driver's airbag, front power windows, central locking, an alarm system and a bunch of other pleasant and useful little things.

Alas, with a pretty appearance, the Chinese are far in quality and reliability from Europeans and Korean neighbors.

4th place

The fourth position is for a small but nimble Cherry Kimo (350 900 rubles) with a modern 1.3-liter 16-valve engine. It looks like a nice, very well equipped machine: air conditioning, power steering, ABS, full power accessories, mp3 with USB and much more. Everything that is possible is regulated.

The salon is quite spacious for such dimensions of the car. Several companies worked on the Kimo project at once: the design belongs to the Italian Bertone, the engine was developed jointly with the Austrian AVL, over technical part Chevrolet engineers worked hard on the interior. The only concern is that at the core new car lies the old, albeit deeply modernized Daewoo Matiz platform.

3rd place

So we got to the podium: three cheapest new foreign cars.

Third place for Geely MK (329 000 rubles). 16 valve engine with a volume of 1.5 liters, it is powered by AI-92 gasoline with a tank volume of 45 liters, which will appeal to domestic drivers.

The car is rather big, 4.3 meters long, has a very rich basic equipment.

For their northern neighbors, the Chinese have provided some kind of "engine adaptation for a cold climate" and heating the priests of the driver and front passenger.

As for design and reliability, Russian motorists have nicknamed the Geely MK "sad julka". Perhaps for a reason.

2nd place

- "the successor in a straight line" of the legendary Opel Kadett E.

Proven over the years, rational, fairly reliable and maintainable, but already a very ancient development of German engineers in the Central Asian version.

And the interior is rustic and there is nothing to be surprised under the hood, and outwardly unsightly. But the ruble decides, as they say! For its size and functionality, a very attractive price for a new car.

The first place is rightfully occupied by the Uzbek comrades assembled by caring hands Daewoo Matiz (247 000 rubles).

Its Chinese twin Chery QQ has already been taken off the assembly line, although the remnants are still being sold at a price of 267,000 rubles.

IN basic version the engine is weak, three-cylinder, 0.8 liters. But for a quiet ride around the city, this is enough. Standard equipment - “steering wheel-motor-wheels”, no frills. Alas, it is impossible to call this small cramped machine economical. Consumption city / highway 5/7, 4 liters / 100 km (compare with Kia Picanto).

The Korean development is based on a revised version of the 1982 Suzuki Alto bogie. Matiz is not particularly durable.

So what to choose?

Fans of "bells and whistles" who do not have the opportunity to purchase a "Japanese" or "European" should look at the "Chinese".

However, the cost of spare parts for inexpensive new foreign cars of Chinese, and Korean production are quite high. cheap cars can be unexpectedly expensive to maintain.

This does not apply to UzDaewoo products: the Uzbek manufacturer is not trying to “beat off” low price on cheap parts. And the market for used units is also quite wide. Unlike the "Chinese", for Daewoo there will be no problems with bodywork.

If you choose a car for reliability, then in our TOP out of competition. Since now it is produced in Russia, there are no problems with service and spare parts. In price over time, the same Renault Logan and Kia Picanto will lose less than others.

The example of Renault Logan turned out to be economically super-successful. Experiencing a sales crisis and incurring losses in the markets of developed countries, large automakers turned their greedy eyes on the markets of poor countries of the world and began vying to promise to please us with new, but very cheap foreign cars in the near future.

Renault-Nissan, together with AvtoVAZ, is going to launch several more projects on the B0 platform.

There are plans to revive the Japanese brand Datsun, using a trolley from Lada cars (we hope, not from the "classics"). Chevrolet, VW, PSA, Toyota are also making grandiose plans to create super-cheap cars.

The legendary British MG finally sold to the Chinese and produces budget cars. Apparently, the same fate awaits Volvo, on the verge of balancing the French PSA and the Italian Alfa-Romeo. Rollce-Royce is silent for now.
