Geely - these cars, manufactured by a company from the Middle Kingdom, attract many potential customers with their relatively affordable price. These include those who have turned their attention to the crossover segment, but do not have enough funds to purchase a copy of a more eminent brand.
It is worth noting that Geely has very few models from this segment in its arsenal:

Geely MK Cross- however, this car can be attributed to crossovers, but only with a big stretch.

Geely Emgrand X7 looks very attractive. The front end cannot boast of special design frills, but on the whole it was created smoothly and correctly - a powerful radiator grille, rectangular optics, round foglights and a massive air intake.
The profile is distinguished by large rear doors with tapering side windows, stampings, 5-spoke "titans" and a roof that is rather slightly heaped back. But the feed is “not very” - in comparison with the inflated profile and front end, it looks weak, and the stubby feet do not add power to it.

There is no diversity in this regard - there is only one power unit - this is a 2-liter in-line engine equipped with an injector. He has 2 pairs of cylinders, with each of which 4 valves work.
Max power is 139 horses, but they are available only at 5,900 rpm. Peak thrust froze at around 178 "Newtons", which is available at 4,250 rpm. The unit is sharpened to Euro-4 standards.
Its max speed is not very high - 170 km/h. The declared appetite in the combined cycle will be 8.6 liters, while in the city it is noticeably higher - 11.5 liters or more.
There is only one transmission - non-alternative "mechanics". It has 5 gears and is paired exclusively with front-wheel drive. Power steering hydraulic type.
Interior
Salon Chinese crossover assembled surprisingly neat and solid. The smooth curves of the dashboard lines, the wide center console, on which the Asians concentrated the control of options, have now lost their blind symbols - the icons are quite large and understandable. Lateral support is not bad, but for active drivers it will be clearly insufficient. The 3-spoke steering wheel is comfortable in coverage and optimal thickness in section, tidy is clear and understandable. Naturally, the materials are not the best, but the price of the car explains this.
In general, the interior came out quite good, but the abundance of lurid silver inserts betrays the Asians. They are everywhere - on the steering wheel, in the dashboard, on the center console, in the gearbox trim, etc. 
Owner reviews
As a rule, the new owners are satisfied with the crossover - good dynamics and high-torque power unit, attractive design, spaciousness in the cabin, a fairly soft suspension that protects riders from most road surface flaws. At the same time, such softness does not particularly affect handling - it is a little imposing in the crossover, but on the whole it is at the level. The gearbox is clear, the lever moves are also small.
The whole truth about the Chinese Emgrand X7
As for the obvious shortcomings, the owners complain about the unimportant build quality - uneven gaps, ill-fitting and fixed plastic panels. There are also complaints about the very mediocre visibility, which is severely limited by the massive front pillars.
The paintwork also does not differ in durability - all twigs and pebbles leave scratches and chips on it. The trunk opening is not as wide as we would like - many overall cargoes simply cannot be placed there. Drivers are also annoyed by the lack of steering adjustment for reach, as well as a small angle of tilt adjustment - not everyone has enough of it.
Competitors
Sales Geely Emgrand X7 are largely limited to just 2 trim levels, as well as one available engine, “under-drive” and a non-alternative manual transmission. Other than that, it's a great car for the price - RUB 649,900 or 689 900 (depending on equipment).

Power is small - 94 horses, available at 6,000 rpm, but for a car of this weight (1,465 kg), this is quite enough. There is also 128 “Newtons” of thrust (at 3,400 rpm).
As in the previous case, its maximum speed is low - 160 km / h, and the engine itself is oriented to the Euro 3 standard. I am glad that AI-92 can be refueled, and the tank volume is 45 liters. Consumption is also reasonable - about 8 liters in urban slums.
Gearbox, drive and steering
This is a front-wheel drive model, equipped only with a 5-speed MT, as well as hydraulic power steering.
Interior
The interior is made in an original way, but in terms of convenience, this is not always justified. The dashboard is moved to the center of the dashboard, which forces you to take your eyes off the road while reading the readings. The location of all controls exclusively in the center of the dashboard makes the rest of the panel visually empty.
The seats are decent, as is the unpretentious steering wheel. But the abundance of red inserts may not please everyone.
If you think Chinese technology is not the most reliable and not very successful option for cars, you should get acquainted with Geely's proposals. Productive SUVs and real jeeps are not represented in the corporation's lineup, but the company has produced a lot of good crossovers in its history. The feedback from the owners about the new technology is especially pleasing. The modern Geely crossover is a real standard of quality and a role model in the automotive world, at least for Geely compatriots.

In the case of Geely, the cost is of great importance, because there are hardly many willing to pay millions for Chinese crossovers and SUVs.
Geely Emgrand X7 - a great car for the city
Of course, this is not a real jeep, but just a compact SUV, but what a! The car has excellent technical characteristics, its photos cause only positive emotions. Perhaps calling the crossover of the Emggrand line the best in its segment is too bold a statement. But to say that the car has become a worthy competitor in the class of urban SUVs is quite possible. X7 received chic characteristics from the best developers of Geely, and its cost starts from 750,000 rubles - the price is not yet pleased with low rates.
Geely Emgrand NL-3 - a chic novelty from the Chinese

Even a compact SUV, this car can be called a stretch. However, Geely offers the LC Cross as a performance crossover and off-road version of the regular Panda small hatchback. Particularly pleasing in design is the spare wheel placed on the trunk lid in a special-shaped plastic case.
