New Hawal H6. Haval H6 Coupe: Richer than Rav4, faster than X-Trail

New Hawal H6. Haval H6 Coupe: Richer than Rav4, faster than X-Trail

Until now, relations with the "Chinese" somehow did not work out for me. The Lifans failed miserably twice. There was also a test where five competed at once. And of the five rivals, many were out of work on several counts at once. However, cars Haval brands I personally have not yet tested, and colleagues sometimes spoke of them surprisingly flattering. It was all the more interesting to get acquainted with the crossover. The Chinese auto industry is developing by leaps and bounds. Perhaps the day has come when Chinese cars, like phones from the Middle Kingdom, can be put on a par with famous brands?

Appearance crossover Haval H6 without revelations - calm, noble lines and not a single "weak link". And I didn't see any plagiarism either. Maybe he didn’t look well, but, in my opinion, Khawail is quite original and makes a worthy impression. The same can be said about the interior. Restrained design, good assembly. True, the plastic is completely hard, and this will have to come to terms.

But the H6 has well-developed ergonomics. Surely in a Chinese car I will not experience problems with landing behind the wheel? Surprising but true. The steering wheel is adjustable in a wide range in two directions, it is comfortable in grip and does not irritate with rough seams on leather braid. Through the steering wheel, I look at the classic instrument cluster with two large wells. I do not want to find fault with the monochrome screen of a trip computer, which is small by modern standards. A seat with a good profile, adjustable lumbar support and well-developed lateral support. The dual-zone climate control unit is perfectly arranged, and the keys are pressed with a noble, measured effort. Only the display lacks brightness when the headlights are on.

Pinch me - ? The emblem on the steering wheel dispels doubts. Only the inscription "appearance", which in this case indicates the temperature overboard, gives out Chinese origin. Apparently, the creators did not use the most accurate electronic translator. But gosh, that's the only funny nitpick I've found.

I change to the second row - there are plenty of places. Again, surprisingly comfortable to sit on. Not only in terms of space - the landing itself is thought out, and the backrests are adjustable in tilt angle. Only above the head there is a little less space than we would like: “thanks” to the sunroof, which eats up a fair amount of air. But the volume of the luggage compartment is quite a decent one. On its side walls, there are also protrusions for setting the floor to a higher level. Thus, the luggage compartment can be divided into two parts. In general, Haval H6 confidently scored several points in the "family SUV" category.

And what about driving disciplines? In them, Chinese cars often pass. Our ward has a 150-horsepower turbo engine paired with a 6-speed automatic. A running engine fills the cabin with a light, barely noticeable vibration. Nothing criminal. The gas pedal is slightly damped, and the motor barely reacts to modest touches of the accelerator. But it is worth pushing the pedal harder, and Haval is already accelerating quite well. The spirit, of course, does not capture, but for a one and a half ton SUV the dynamics are enough.

But fuel consumption could be less - in the city it fluctuated around the mark of 13.5 liters per 100 kilometers, and on the highway I managed to reduce it to only 10 liters per hundred. With such an appetite, Havala has a small fuel tank (only 50 liters). IN long road you have to go to the gas station often. But the engine is able to digest the 92nd gasoline. The machine is also well tuned - it changes gears in time, it does not get out of the way even in the kick-down mode. But the brakes are a little lacking in efficiency. Dosing effort on the brake pedal is not always easy. You have to get used to it. And the deceleration itself could be a little more intense.

Where Haval really surprised was on the potholes. Approaching the next speed bump, he purposely did not slow down. H6 did not fold and worked without breakdown. On medium and large pits, the “Chinese” suspension does not close on the body and feels confident. Only small things are scanned in more detail than we would like. The comb on the road and rough asphalt are even more felt. A sort of effect of pumped tires, although the pressure in the wheels was normal.

It is gratifying that for a good ride, Haval did not pay with handling problems. Of course, behind the wheel of the H6 driver's ambitions are better to mute. But Haval is stable on a straight line and stands quite confidently on an arc. Maybe the reactions to the steering wheel are a bit heavy, but this is not critical. And I would also like the steering wheel to fill up with a little more effort in the running turn.

The test car was monodrive. The rear plug-in axle relies only on versions with mechanics. Therefore, instead of heavy off-road, we limited ourselves to a muddy dirt road. But even here it almost got stuck. There seemed to be enough light, and traction control can be disabled. But the regular Giti tires on wet ground were helpless. As a result, Haval began to confidently slide into a deep rut. Fortunately, with the electronics turned off and intensive slipping, we eventually managed to get out of the delicate situation. So, if you plan to periodically get out on the road, you should look at the tires with the best grip, no matter how trite it may sound. By the way, the H6 has a downhill assistant in its arsenal, but they decided not to test it on a slippery slope, because it will not work to climb back with such tires. But in the underground multi-tiered parking, the system was checked - it works well.

The world will never be the same for me - Haval H6 was the first Chinese car that gave me positive emotions. Yes, it is not without flaws. But none of them I can call serious. At the same time, the H6 in Chinese is generously flavored with options. Here you have xenon headlights, a sunroof, and power accessories with dual-zone climate control. But the price is no longer quite Chinese - our car costs almost 1,300,000 rubles. On the other hand, I am forced to capitulate, admitting that for this amount they offer not the smallest and quite competitive car with good functionality.

According to company representatives, the car will be sold on the territory of the Russian Federation. At dealers, it will appear no earlier than this autumn. In our market, the off-road vehicle will be presented in only one configuration.

Despite the fact that the car has changed externally and internally, but most of all, the engineers have finalized the technical stuffing. So, a turbocharged one will now be installed under the hood diesel unit volume of 2.0 liters with a capacity of 190 horses. It will replace the outdated petrol plant. The installation of a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine will also continue, but its power will increase to 251 hp.

Any motor can work with the new "automatic" at 8 speeds. It is worth noting that the same transmission is actively used in the assembly of models from Audi and BMW.

Exterior Haval H9 2017-2018 in a new body

The most striking improvements include a large front bumper. It housed a large air collector, and on the sides of the section for LED fog lights. The grille has also changed. Five chrome jumpers appeared on it (there were three of them before). On the sides are large headlights. As before, their filling is bi-xenon, but DRLs on LED elements were added to it.

The rear of the SUV remained the same. The side part is decorated with large marker lamps. Door luggage compartment square shape, which provides excellent access to the cargo placed there.

Looking at the profile of the novelty, you can see that the manufacturer decided to remove the already familiar steps from the thresholds, but this does not mean that they are not there. Now they will extend automatically when opening the doors. This made it possible to increase the level of patency of the model.

Salon Haval H9 2017-2018, as well as off-road equipment

But the interior of the Chinese has improved significantly. First, it is worth disassembling the installed devices inside the car. There is:

  • panel with a large display with a color image;
  • modern on-board computer;
  • updated gear knob;
  • console with updated architecture;
  • multimedia system with large display
  • audio installation;
  • climatic complex.

The interior is decorated with all kinds of plastic inserts, painted “under the tree”.

In addition to the novelty, you can install:

  • power sunroof (previously a simple glazed roof was offered);
  • Cruise control;
  • emergency braking system;
  • frontal collision warning system;
  • marking tracking system;
  • parking assistant.

Haval H6 2018: price, equipment, photos, reviews

The new car Haval H6 from Great Wall will appear in the Russian Federation only in 2017, although it has been widely known in the home market for two years. Let's talk not just about the Haval classic H6 modification, but about its crossover version, the so-called Haval H6 Coupe.

Appearance of course is already a little different, smooth overhangs, both front and rear, so to speak, prepared exclusively for the urban style. You can hardly get off-road on it, after all, the specifications are completely different, not typical for this class.

Opinions about the Haval H6 among auto experts are divided, perhaps when the car is released to the masses, we will get reliable reviews. Reviews of Haval H6 are not available yet, as the car is not for sale, but there is a video review on Haval H6.

Exterior

The front of the Haval H6 Coupe is ready to offer quite a decent look, with which you will not feel uncomfortable in the languid city stream. On the contrary, you will feel the enviable looks of people who are sometimes unaware that this is really a Chinese.

A huge radiator grille, exclusively in the corporate style, which is generally strange for a Chinese car production, and Great wall haval H6 in particular. The smooth edges of the optics, which seem to “emerge” from its shackles, by the way, many argue that the optics are copied from Audi, to be honest, it’s difficult to call something unique in modern automotive engineering.

The silhouette, structure and shape of the stern of the Haval H6 Coupe are retouched in an interesting way in the image of an English crossover. Of course, it is difficult to call a complete copy of the Great Wall Haval H6, but still the motives of the Range Rover are visible.

The characteristic overhang of the roof, as if torn off, symbolizes the success of the company, its recognition in the arena. The bumper disappointed, in this vein it does not sympathize with the Haval H6 Coupe, something more energetic and noticeable is needed. And the protective body kit, in the style of a chrome lining, looks like a “collective farm” at all.

Interior

The prototype of the cabin came naturally from the Great Wall Haval H6 classic version, a huge SUV. In terms of quality, everything is wonderful, the concern has long been amazing with amazing build quality, there are no past omissions.

The steering panel of the Haval H6 crossover is in a fashionable style, there is even some functional cover, the so-called multifunction steering wheel, the Russian owner will be pleased, so many extensive options none will be offered from the steering wheel European manufacturer. It is possible to evaluate all the functionality even by the bright photos attached to the Haval H6.

The main console of the Haval H6 Coupe takes on a huge monitor, with pleasant and ergonomic side controls. Below is a separate climate control panel with a clear interface.

The entire panel looks neat, symbolic plastic playing a role decorative element doesn't look that cheap. A convenient transition to a tunnel with a wide base, which implies several pockets at once.

Seats for the Great Wall Haval H6, the Chinese manufacturer offered ergonomic, pleasant, with a comfortable profile, which is sometimes rarely seen in the European segment.

Even a simple photo of the interior conveys its dimensions, there is really a lot of free space, wide gaps between the seats, give great opportunities for adjustment. Behind a pleasantly shaped back, with a huge margin.

Technical indicators

For Haval H6 Suggested specifications it is difficult to call it impressive, because, in any case, only one engine will be supplied to the Russian market, this is a 2.0 liter. a unit which, it turns out, generates a modest 194 hp, which, given the weight, and, in general, the desire of the owners, is clearly not enough.

Haval H6 owners should not count on diesel yet. Two checkpoints are packed into his partners at once, this is a classic “mechanics”, widely known to all owners of the Great Wall Haval H6. The test carried out for the H6 showed quite optimal dynamic characteristics, although if you think about 200 “horses” with such a mass, what dynamics can there be.

But, Haval conducted the official test drive himself, so it remains only to believe him. The second type of gearbox for the Haval H6 Coupe is a "robot" as well as a "mechanics" for 6 bands. In principle, there are no serious complaints about the functioning of the system, everything is within the maximum permissible norms.

Technical haval characteristics H6 had nothing within the platform, despite receiving such a significant prefix in the name as the Hawal H6 Coupe. The "cart" itself with a full set of equipment came with classic SUV, were understandably design changes but nothing serious.

The structure of the suspension remains traditional, it is a MacPherson strut at the front, and a couple of levers at the rear, in addition, both parts are equipped with transverse stabilizers. System operation in Russian realities not bad enough, in any case, even the so-called suspension crash test showed large stock strength.

Electronic "gadgets" for the new Haval H6 are presented by all known systems, already in the basic configuration, the car is equipped with an impressive range of various assistants, ranging from standard ABS and EBD. Pleased with Great Wall Hawal H6 and electro amplifier steering rack, with a distributed mode of gear ratios.

Options and prices

The new style of the Hawal H6 has affected the cost, now the Hawal H6 Coupe will cost much more than its classic counterpart. This is required by the style, the very texture of the car, which in principle is understandable and justified.

The description of the “base”, as indicated, will include ESP, ABS, EBD, BAS, start assist, two-ton climate, parking sensors, multifunction steering wheel, mirror adjustment, seats, camera, molding, fog lights, daytime lights, also in the "base" there is a Haval H6 crankcase protection.

chervyakov86 › Blog › Haval H6. Opinion after test drive

What are Chinese cars I became really interested about a year ago. While on a business trip in the city of Tyumen, I was amazed at the number of Haval cars on the streets of the city. I didn't have with me driving license, and the desire to ride at the dealer on this car remained only a desire.

Time passed, and I get an object on the border of the Tomsk region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and somehow everything turns out that there is a Haval dealer in the city of Nizhnevartovsk and they have an H6 model on the test. Of course, I would like to touch H9 not in statics, but for lack of alternatives, I had to be content with what I have.

Well, I'll probably start not with the car itself, but with the people who sell it. Salons of Chinese cars work, probably, even worse than salons domestic Lada. For some reason, it is not difficult to take a test drive with Toyota, Nissan, Skoda or Renault. You just need to come to the salon, and that will be enough. Here everything is different. You need to sign up ... but oh well, God bless him, but test drives are held on certain days (weekdays), and at certain times.

In other words, if you suddenly want to see Haval in Nizhnevartovsk, then you must either be unemployed or have a lot of money not to work. Neither in the first nor in the second category of people, I'm sure there is no target audience for this car. Who do they even work for?
The dealer went to meet me and rescheduled the test for a day off, but did it for an absolutely inconvenient time ... In general, not seeing alternatives, I had to agree to what they offered.

In my understanding, if you want to sell cars, and your brand has absolutely no reputation, or in this case they simply do not know you, you need to set up work dealer center so that people do not have to choose between nothing and the opportunity to touch the "beautiful". You need to go towards any person who has shown an interest in Chinese brand. Well, I think so.

Well, who cares, but it seems to me that Chinese car manufacturers have made a big and qualitative leap forward, having stopped copying the Toyota RAV4 when it comes to crossover. I can’t say like this what cars I see in the form of the H6, and I can’t do this simply because, like most modern crossovers, it’s terribly faceless, and everything is guessed in it at once, and not a single one if you look closely in detail .

I can’t call the H6’s appearance harmonious or refined, but at least it doesn’t repel, and I think that will be enough.

Salon Haval H6 is not the realm of Chinese luxury that we are used to seeing. This is no longer jewelry sold in pedestrian crossings. In the interior, as well as in the exterior, there is no frank borrowing. It is quite original and does not cause any wild outbursts of negative or positive emotions. Ordinary interior, not an expensive car.

I don’t like to talk about buttons, knobs and other little things, and I don’t think it’s necessary, but I want to say that it was quite comfortable for me to be in this salon.

Seat profile, armrest a la Land Rover the location of the automatic transmission selector, everything is no worse than the others.
That's where the Asian (Chinese) shortsightedness comes in, in the seat lift and steering column adjustment ranges. The Chinese apparently have not yet come to the conclusion that there are people about two meters tall, and therefore the setting ranges are quite narrow. If you are a tall person, then with a probability of 80% it will be uncomfortable for you to sit in the steering wheel.

The back row is spacious.

Moreover, this was achieved not at the expense of the trunk, which, according to the information on the website www.drive.ru, has a volume of 808 liters. In the very good case it will have 500 liters, but nevertheless, there are more than in a regular city hatchback, and this is already a big plus.

Finishing materials. Yes, there is hard plastic everywhere, and it is not the most pleasant in terms of texture, but what I have long ceased to be surprised at is how the plastic parts are fitted to each other. I am not afraid of these words, but the build quality of the interior of the Chinese crossover Haval H6 is head and shoulders above the quality of the St. Petersburg assembly of Nissan cars. Nothing dangles or creaks, neither in static nor on a bumpy road.

The quality of the upholstery of the seats ... well, the usual leather deputy ... the same as can be found in medium-sized cars price segment Toyota, Mitsubishi or Nissan. Not very pleasant in terms of tactile sensations, but you can live with it. It is quite soft, and in truth, it is better than it was in the pre-styling Toyota RAV4 or in the current model. Nissan Qashqai. How long this skin of a young leatherette will live is, of course, an interesting question, but the Japanese also have no magic leather.

The machine is equipped with two engines: a two-liter diesel unit GW4D20, which I wrote about in an article about Great wall hover H5, and an outlandish one and a half liter gasoline inflated engine GW4G15B, which we will talk about in more detail now.

To attentive readers, from the index of this motor it may seem that it comes from workshops Mitsubishi Motors, but in fact, this motor is a copy of another Japanese motor- 1NZ-FE created Toyota Motor Co., Ltd, but with a number of Chinese improvements in the form of a bolted Borg Warner turbine and Bosch direct injection.

All this, and not much else, made it possible to remove the power of 150 hp from the motor. at 5200 rpm and a torque of 210 Nm, available from 2200 to 4500 rpm.
This motor is available with both mechanical six step box gears (information about which I did not find), and automatic transmission ZF 6HP19.

The car also has all-wheel drive, which is implemented by the Borg Warner electric multi-plate clutch. The beauty of Chinese cars is that it is not clear on what basis they come up with equipment, but the options for transmission types and drive types only raise questions. W personally mine: Why can't I buy for any money all-wheel drive car with automatic transmission, and why is diesel only available on mechanics?

Of course, having imagination and being a little familiar with what the Chinese aggregate for themselves, I can answer them, but why has no one been doing anything for so many years? Why is it difficult to attach to a ZF transverse box angle gearbox to transmit torque to the clutch? Or why is it difficult to adapt another automatic transmission to a transverse diesel engine and attach an angle gearbox to it?

I've driven a front-wheel drive version of the H6 with an automatic transmission in the Lux trim, and I hope you're not expecting me to tell you now about how this car steers and accelerates superbly.

It somehow accelerates, it feels like in 13 seconds, and this is with a curb weight of 1565 kg, while the car has very balanced braking for such a mass and accelerating dynamics.

I liked how the motor responds to the gas pedal. The Japanese should learn from the Chinese how to make such a responsive throttle. A small turbocharged motor rides in a very narrow rev range, and I will immediately say to no avail to pretend to be a racer on this car. If you turn the motor above 4000 rpm, then absolutely nothing will happen.

In corners, it does not fall like any KIA Sorento 2012 model year, but to steer during this cornering is tantamount to playing thimbles. You absolutely do not understand where your wheels are now, and the steering free play from zero in each direction is equal to ten degrees.

Now let's talk about prices.

If we talk about tsatsk, then there are only two complete sets. One has everything and the other doesn't have a rearview camera xenon headlights and dead zone monitoring systems.

For comparison, I gave the cost of the basic configurations of classmates H6.

Yes, of course, all these Kia, Renault, Nissans will be better by as much as they are more expensive ... But in addition to buying a car of a Japanese or European famous brand, you buy not only the car itself, the nameplate and some kind of ideology, if any, you you also buy the opportunity to properly, humanly maintain and repair your car, buy spare parts for it, buy the opportunity to learn everything about it in one day.

Not so with Chinese cars. Even if the VIN code of your H6 recognizes some kind of existential, it is far from a fact that there will be a catalog for this car.

Constant problems with the search for spare parts and body parts, a complete lack of understanding of how much it will all drive, and then what to do with it all.

And what if the Chinese in China get a kick out of their heads and decide that sales of their cars aren't making the profit they're supposed to, and they just wind up and go back to China? In 2014 it was already, who gives a 100% guarantee that they will not do such a trick again? How will the warranty obligations be fulfilled if they once again rush over the cordon? As you can see, there are a lot of unanswered questions about these machines.

To buy such a car, you need to either be a very optimistic person, or not think about anything at all.

Why do I like Chinese auto industry? Well, every time I see something new, positive for myself. They are very dynamically developing their automotive industry, and their cars from five years ago and today are completely different cars. But what they need to grow up to is organization normal operation their dealerships and service centers, so that the person who bought their car was sure of fulfilling warranty obligations, so that there are spare parts catalogs, so that these spare parts are generally sold somewhere, and there is some understanding of what these cars are.

So interest is interest, but to buy ... I'll stand on the sidelines for now, smoke, watch ...

New Haval H6 2017 - the second generation of the crossover

Just two days ago, Great Wall Motor presented the second generation Haval H6 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car will enter the market of the manufacturer's country in May this year.

Will it give attention Chinese crossover Russian automotive market it is not known yet. And for those who follow the novelties of the global automotive industry, we will highlight the details of the novelty.

The exterior of the new body Hawal H6 2017-2018

The design for the second generation H6 was developed by none other than former Mercedes-Benz designer Andreas Dufel. The new body looks more modern, in the spirit of today's time and consumer requirements for the appearance of cars in this class.

External attractiveness new Haval H6 achieved thanks to wide wheel arches, puffy wings, a large false radiator grille. It was as if large fog lights. Also stands out new optics, which was supplemented with LED lights. The top equipment looks powerful and stylish with wheels of the 19th diameter.

New interior

The interior of the car is finished with new high-quality materials. In the design itself, the same type of asymmetry notes are captured, which sound like a leitmotif either on the main console or on the lines of the torpedo. Steering wheel equipped with the main function buttons, the console with a 12.3-inch screen seems to be turned towards the driver.

Here is the climate control unit. The five-seat interior is quite spacious, and the dimensions of the luggage compartment are also pleasing. In general, the design can be called restrained, with some special touch, thanks to which the car acquires its own charisma and character.

Photo of the new crossover Haval H6 Coupe 2016-2017

Great Wall has announced that it is starting mass production of its new coupe-shaped crossover, which is called the Great Wall Haval H6 Coupe. This car was officially presented in April this year as part of the Shanghai international motor show. It is noteworthy that the prototype of this SUV was shown at the Moscow Motor Show back in 2014.

(Video teaser)

The novelty was created on the platform of the Hover H6 crossover, which has already managed to show itself well in the Russian market. In fact, there is little in common between cars.

Attractive appearance Hawal H6 Coupe 2016-2017

Pay attention to the photo and video materials that will allow you to form your own opinion about the new product. Or rather, about the appearance of the Chinese car Great Wall H6.

It is bright, interesting and attractive car. In no case can the manufacturer be accused of copying and plagiarism. Obviously, the design was created by the experts themselves. However, there are common trends with all the latest coupe crossovers that have entered the market, regardless of manufacturer. Anyway, fashion is fashion.

Ahead, we note an interesting false radiator grille, plastic protection around the entire perimeter of the body. I liked it very much head optics, which did not do without LEDs. Most likely, this lighting option will be available only in the top versions.

From the side we observe huge wheel arches, no less large wheel disks, comfortable doors, powerful outside rear-view mirrors, roof rails and compact glazing.

The rear welcomes us with well-thought-out, attractive optics, as well as a practical door that leads us into the luggage compartment.

The impression of appearance is positive. You can’t call the Great Wall Haval H6 Coupe a masterpiece of design art, but the car is really beautiful.

dimensions

Concerning external dimensions, then they are as follows:

  • length - 4549 millimeters;
  • width - 1835 millimeters;
  • height - 1700 millimeters;
  • wheelbase - 2720 mm;
  • ground clearance - 170 millimeters.

Chic salon Haval H6 Coupe 2016—2017

Inside the car continues to delight. The crossover offers the driver and passengers to stay inside a cozy five-seater cabin.

Red saloon Great Wall Hawal N6 Coupe 2016-2017

Everything looks good. Largely thanks to modern equipment. At the same time, finishing materials are clearly not cheap and low-grade. In this regard, the Chinese showed themselves from the best side.

But even this would not be enough if there were problems with ergonomics. However, even here the manufacturer surprised. The buttons are in place, the inserts do not look gaudy, but only emphasize the attractiveness of the interior. The seats are equally comfortable front and rear. Perhaps one would like to find flaws, but so far it is not possible to do this.

The price of the new Haval H6 Coupe in Russia

Since the 2016-2017 Great Wall Haval H6 Coupe has already gone on sale in China, the question of price is quite open.

At home, a new coupe-shaped SUV is sold for about 140 thousand yuan per basic equipment. Top equipment will cost around 172,000 yuan. In terms of dollars, this is from 22 to 27.5 thousand dollars. Considering the specified equipment, the price seems incredible.

Yes, the probability of an increase in value when a car appears in Russia is high. However, a significant jump should not be expected. It is possible that the first batches of the brand new crossover will be available Russian dealers Great Wall at the end of this year.

Specifications Haval H6 Coupe

If we talk about technical characteristics, here the manufacturer also did not disappoint. Having created an excellent impression of the exterior, interior and equipment, we continue to please the features of the engine compartment.

For the suspension, which turned out to be completely independent, MacPherson struts were used in front, and double wishbones. All wheels are fitted disc brakes, and the steering is complemented by an electric power steering.

Yes, you will not see an abundance of proposals for power units here. At least in the short term. But even one single representative motor range enough to meet the needs of different consumers.

On the one hand, we have a 2.0-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine. But due to turbocharging, its power was an impressive 197 Horse power, and a torque of 315 Nm.

Regardless of the selected gearbox, acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour will take 9 seconds. But there is a difference in terms of fuel consumption, albeit small - 8.8 and 9.2 liters per 100 kilometers with manual and automatic gearboxes, respectively.

The maximum speed is 190 kilometers per hour, and the volume fuel tank 58 liters.

The issue of choosing a gearbox should be approached carefully. After all, a manual gearbox is equipped with both versions with front and plug-in all-wheel drive. A robotic six-speed gearbox will only be available to those who give preference to front-wheel drive.

Conclusion

Today we had a chance to get acquainted with a very interesting coupe-shaped crossover. Despite the fact that the car was created in China, it is in many ways ahead of competitors from much more eminent and reputable companies.

In fact, the Great Wall Haval H6 Coupe has everything to gain popularity. This attractive appearance excellent salon, rich equipment and of course affordable price together with solid technical characteristics.

Refusal to enter the model on the Russian market would be a big mistake on the part of the manufacturer and a serious loss for potential consumers. But let's hope that the novelty will still be brought to Russia and the CIS countries.

Today we are testing another one of the four Havals currently on the Russian market - the Haval H6 Coupe. Appearance - for an amateur. Not too oriental, but not particularly European either. Reminds me of a slightly enlarged version of the Haval H2. Despite the fact that the former designer of the Bavarian BMW Pierre Leclerc worked on the image of the car, in general, as it seemed to me, there was nothing special to catch the eye on. Yes, the body looks modern and "younger" than the usual H6, but it's impossible to single out something special.

Finishing materials are very hard, oak and quite budget-friendly in appearance. Although the upper part of the front panel looks very personal, more than noble, however, until you touch it with your hand, the tactile sensation is much worse than the visual one. But I was pleasantly surprised that, with all the crossover essence of the car, the authors put completely off-road handles on the back row - to facilitate the process of getting inside, into the second row of seats. There is plenty of space in the back row, both for legs and overhead, but here is a special set of options rear passengers the car is not happy - only an armrest with cup holders (which, by the way, is very difficult to pull out), air vents and (in the top version) heating and light bulbs. Not a single outlet, not 12V, not 220V, not USB. On the front row, by the way, is also within easy reach - only one 12V, and USB (also one) is hidden in the bowels of the central armrest. The backrest of the rear seats is adjustable, but the sofa does not move back and forth.

Wheels - 17th or 19th, depending on the configuration. Headlights - in the top configuration xenon, in the other two - conventional halogen. Xenon shines quite well. But all versions of the car have an electric drive for folding mirrors, regardless of the configuration. LED repeaters turn signals in the mirrors are also present in any configuration. In the most expensive version, the car will also have a panoramic sunroof - large and comfortable.

Electric adjustment of the driver's (8 directions) and passenger (4 directions) seats. Without memory. Heated front (in any configuration) and rear (in the top version) seats. There are additional air ducts for the second row of seats.

Atmospheric interior lighting (6 colors). It is turned on and regulated by a button, but only two short strips in the ceiling glow. Mirrors in sun visors - illuminated. Keyless entry and start the engine with a button - in any configuration. Dual zone climate Same. Steering wheel adjustable in two directions. Electronic parking brake. Cruise control (no speed limiter). A rear view camera in any version, and in the top version there is also an additional camera in the right mirror for viewing the blind zone. Sliding central armrest, and in it - a refrigerated compartment (it cools at the same time a flash drive, the nest for which is located in its lower part). I was glad that they did not save on electrical functions - all four power windows have an automatic mode, both front seats are equipped with electrical adjustments (albeit without memory). At the same time, there is neither a heated steering wheel nor an electrically heated windshield.

Oddities (or shortcomings) of multimedia: there is no navigation as a class, a rather confusing menu, an unexpected place for the sound volume control wheel - in the middle of the central tunnel, where, for example, "Kashkay" and many others have a washer for choosing a drive scheme.

The on-board computer is still the same main claim as in the case of other "Khawails" - if some kind of disorder happens (most often this is a pressure violation in one of the tires, at least a little), a warning pops up on the board computer screen and remove it can't be done at all. And accordingly, you can not use the board computer either. Or rather, you can remove it (by long pressing the reset button), but after a minute or two the warning will come out again and again occupy the entire board computer. If these are security considerations, then at least they made the operation of the sensors more adequate. And so the function only interferes. Because data on tire problems get out of the car regularly, at least in winter. And then they disappear.

More oddities (no longer multimedia, but in general). Usually, in modern cars, the radio tape recorder turns off either when the ignition is turned off, or when the driver's door is opened (when the ignition is turned off, of course). Haval engineers came up with a third option - the radio or music does not turn off at all - until you forcefully shut down the system with a button or lock the car. Those. arrived somewhere, turned off the engine - the music continues to play. Opened the door, went out - the music continues to play. Closed the door from the outside - everything continues. And only when you lock the car, the multimedia inside will finally calm down.

And another moment that attracted attention - usually when reverse gear is turned on onboard system car either does nothing to the music, or mutes it so that the sound of the parking sensors can be heard. Here it is worth including reverse- and the radio stops sounding completely. Very uncomfortable, especially when you are listening to something carefully.

The side mirrors are just huge. You can see a lot of them. But at the same time, their casings, coupled with wide A-pillars, make it difficult to competently look at the traffic situation, so visibility is, alas, not classy. Under the hood, they decided to save on a gas shock absorber - there is an ordinary poker.

Length - 4549 mm, width - 1835 mm, height - 1700 mm. Wheelbase - 2 720 mm. The ground clearance is declared 170 mm, but from the side it seems more.

The trunk (claimed volume) is 247 liters, but this is clearly not true, it is definitely larger. Increases to 1,146 liters. Probably, this is also not true, it is also most likely larger - the Chinese are either bad, or somehow very special in calculating volumes. There is a 12V outlet in the trunk.

The engine develops maximum power of 190 horsepower in the range of 5,200 - 5,500 rpm. This motor demonstrates maximum torque (310 Nm) at 2,400 - 3,600 rpm.

Gasoline - 95th. Ecoclass - "Euro-5". Tank - 58 liters. At the same time, for some reason, the manufacturer does not provide either the dynamic characteristics of the machine or data on fuel consumption. In practice, the acceleration speed to hundreds was not bad - on smooth and non-snowy (and non-icy) asphalt, we managed to meet the H6 Coupe in 9 seconds. According to the results of the test on the board computer, the average consumption was about 16 liters per hundred. In traffic jams it grew up to 18-19. For modern crossover, and even with front-wheel drive - the value is prohibitive. We managed to reduce it on the highway, but even then only to about 10. And this is also a lot. Perhaps the point is the weight of the car - 1.8 tons, however.

The suspension is quite stiff, resilient, shakes on potholes. Although the traffic police can be forced quite boldly, there will be no unpleasant blows. The steering wheel is quite heavy. And as the speed increases, it becomes even harder. Particularly clear feedback does not give. Big-revolving - three full turns from lock to lock. Three driving modes - Standard, Eco and Sport. They don't differ much from each other. When switching from one mode to another, a very nasty sound is heard sound signal. Despite front-wheel drive, machine, thanks to the great ground clearance, good bumper design and short overhangs, feels good in the snow and on country roads. Of course, you should not count on frank off-road, but still it is significantly better than ordinary "puzoterki". The box, both by itself and in combination with the engine, works flawlessly - everything switches on time, quickly and quite gently.

The Haval H6 Coupe is offered on the Russian market with only one engine - a 2-liter gasoline engine with 190 hp. The gearbox is only a robotic DCT with two clutches. Drive - only front. Three configuration options - City, Lux and Elite - for 1,500,000, 1,550,000 and 1,630,000 rubles.

As a result, according to the results of the test, it remained a mystery to me, what is the “merchant” of this car and why is it so named. In fact, a crossover is like a crossover, and there are no obvious differences, like the corresponding pairs of ordinary crosses and cross-coupes of the same, for example, BMW or Mercedes, here.

Diesel engines warm up longer than gasoline ones - and on an autumn morning in the frozen interior of the Haweila-H6, this is felt especially well. Yes, yes, not “Hawal”, but “Haveil” - the Chinese insist on just such a pronunciation.

While the engine hardly warms itself up, I save myself with a two-stage heating of the front seats, and three friends sitting shoulder to shoulder do not allow each other to freeze in the back. They feel good - there is no central tunnel and there is enough space at the top. Only the tallest (190 cm) almost reaches the ceiling sheathing - so he settled in the middle, where there is a little more space above his head.

The two-story trunk is crammed with backpacks and bags, and the 58‑liter tank is filled to capacity with diesel fuel. Winding through the sleeping streets of Moscow, we break the silence of a Sunday morning with the tractor clatter of a turbodiesel. And only the unexpectedly high-quality sound of the seven speakers of the audio system helps to drown out this unpleasant rumble that fills the interior, made with a claim to luxury.

Let's be honest. Premium in the conventional sense, "Haveil" did not work out: soft plastic is only on the upholstery of the doors, and the "silver-plated" interior handles look cheap. The second-rate plastic of the six-speed manual lever and the handbrake handle are frustrating. But still general impression positive from the interior: it is more comfortable here than in most cars from the Middle Kingdom. Yes, and in terms of ergonomics, "Haveil-H6" is not bad.

While I am taxiing to the M2 highway and heading towards Tula, one of my fellow travelers posts fragments of the interior on Instagram, inviting subscribers to guess the make of the car. The sun rises through the morning mist on the horizon. The cabin gets warm.

THEY DO NOT GO TO TULU WITH THEIR "HAVEIL"

Yes, it was in the Tula region that a few months ago the construction of the Khaveil plant began - a premium brand of the Great Wall brand, which swung to conquer Russian market. In 2017, the first cars should roll off the assembly line of the Uzlovaya technopark, which is 40 km from Tula, and the total production volume is planned to be increased to 150,000 cars a year. How much? The Chinese are optimistic and talk about the prospects without a doubt. They would not be sure of success, they would not invest 18 billion rubles in the project.

Now Haval cars are assembled in China, and the lineup consists exclusively of crossovers. The most compact H2 is the size of a Renault Duster. The mid-size H6 is designed to lure buyers away from fairly large crossovers like the Kia Sorento. The image model "Coupe C" in profile resembles the "Range Rover Ewok". And then there is the larger H8 and the flagship frame H9. The creators do not hesitate to predict the Land Cruiser Prado as competitors to the latter, and this is a great topic for our future comparative tests. For now…

The shortcomings of the diesel H6 that appear in the city on a suburban highway are leveled, or even turn into pluses. Noise and vibration from the engine are noticeably weakened at highway speeds, and the six-speed mechanics allow you to drive very economically, providing a consumption of about 7 l / 100 km.

Contrary to expectations, the 143-horsepower two-liter turbodiesel copes with its duties perfectly, at the peak of the moment the loaded Haval pleasantly presses all five into the seat backs. Even a very tangible, but quite natural turbolag for supercharged engines does not spoil the picture too much.

Isolation from road noise - great! Yes, the engine is noisy, but of all the other acoustic irritants, only the air passing through the slots of the door seals strains with a barely perceptible whistle.

In terms of handling, there is something to complain about. Unlike the same "Sorento", H6 does not let you forget that you are driving a tall and heavy crossover. And although the Havale doesn't roll that much in high-speed corners, the driver clearly lacks feedback on the steering wheel.

Ring! The first subscriber from Instagram is sure that we are traveling in a Volkswagen. It's an Audi, says another. The block of the two-zone climate control unit is painfully similar to those installed in German cars. After some time, "Volvo", "Lexus" and "Honda" are noted among the options. And only in the third hour of the journey does the riddle find the right answer.

Why was this frivolous experiment needed? Without much effort, we found that people are really ready to classify this interior as at least semi-premium. The Chinese know their stuff.

DOWNSHIFTER FROM CHERNOUSOV

Having passed the capital of samovars and gingerbread, we make a 40-kilometer detour - to look at the site of the plant under construction. It turned out that it is not there yet - only endless fields framed by a beautiful autumn forest. Well, from here to the end point of our trip - the village of Chernousovo - about 120 km. And then about five more - across the fields and bulk primers. That's where the energy-intensive suspension and connected with a clutch rear axle definitely won't be redundant!

In Chernousovo, Mikhail Yurievich Krasinets moved under the curtain of the last century. And he moved decisively - by selling his Moscow apartment.

The roots of this unusual story go back to the early 1990s: it was then that the AZLK mechanic and tester began to collect a collection of Soviet-era cars. Everything would be fine, but dozens of exhibits accumulated in the yard apartment building. And in the end, the neighbors, who lost their parking spaces and the yard as such, began to take revenge: Mikhail's cars were smashed, the wheels were cut, and some were even burned. When AZLK closed, leaving Krasinets out of work, the stubborn collector of authorities exchanged the city for a quiet life with his half in a small village.

He overtook the acquired movable property in Chernousovo (his wife is from here), and bought a GAZ-13 Chaika and several more rare cars which he is proud of today.

Something managed to "pull out from the rubble" car factory named after Lenin Komsomol. So Krasinets received a unique "Moskvich 3-5-5" and thus saved him from the inevitable cut.

Today, more than three hundred cars live out their lives in the Krasinets glade, each of which the collector wants to put in order. Alas, there is no time, no money, no strength to achieve this goal. Many cars are so rotten in the open air that their restoration hardly makes sense.

A few years ago, the Krasinets site acquired the status of a museum, but the government subsidies received for development are ridiculous.

Yes, and the donations that visitors leave here are not particularly clear.

Surely, Mikhail himself is well aware that it is no longer possible to return a decent look to most cars. In Chernousov there is neither a lift nor a garage. He also understands that at some point it was necessary to move from quantity to quality and not be like Plyushkin. But ... As they say, whoever can - he does, and whoever cannot - he criticizes. Ignoring the grumblings of the naysayers, Krasinets does. How can. And it's hard to disagree that phenomena like his museum adorn our world.

"Haveil-H6" also left us with a mixed feeling. It is original, fast enough, perfectly “packed” and relatively affordable: according to unofficial information, front-wheel drive cars will cost about 800 thousand rubles, and all-wheel drive diesel versions V maximum configuration- just over a million. However, for this money, not many will agree to endure a loud and vibration-loaded diesel engine and put up with an unacceptably small clearance for a crossover (140 mm). In the face of Khawail, the Chinese auto industry has stepped a couple of steps forward, but the H-sixth lacks breed - the very gloss in every detail that allows you to attach the coveted label with the inscription "premium" to the car.

P.S. Sales of "Hawail-H6" should begin in the first half of 2015. The choice will offer one and a half liter petrol turbo engine 150 hp and a two-liter 143‑horsepower turbodiesel. There is only one transmission - a six-speed manual. The Chinese promise that versions with a four-speed automatic will not be long in coming.

PLUS Excellent ride, impenetrable suspension, spacious salon, high-torque and economical diesel

MINUS Weak isolation from motor noise, high vibration load; premium announcements premature
