The common "scourge" of all versions of the Crete is a closely spaced catalytic converter, which does not have a large margin of endurance. Its ceramic honeycombs can collapse for a number of reasons (such as low-quality fuel, malfunctioning injectors, etc.) and subsequently get into the engine - putting it out of action. This situation is solved extremely simply - by removing the catalyst and installing a flame arrester (but this is only if its warranty replacement is not possible).

In terms of gearboxes, Hyundai Creta is in perfect order. Neither the "mechanics" nor the "automatic" have practically no "chronic sores".

But there is a weak point in the “manual” gearbox - this is the clutch, which is not “sharpened” for sharp starts and high loads (the decent mass of the crossover itself does not affect its “durability” in the best way).

As for the "automatic", it must be borne in mind that its valve body is sensitive to the purity of the oil (it is best to change it every 30-40 thousand km, and every 60-80 thousand km you should fill in new gear oil). With proper care, this unit passes at least 150 thousand km without problems and only after that it will require some “intervention” (for example, replacing oil seals, gaskets, friction clutches, etc.).

The all-wheel drive transmission of the Crete as a whole is also capable of boasting good reliability and endurance - it can withstand even prolonged slipping without signs of overheating.

But you should avoid keeping the car in water for a long time, because if even a small amount of liquid gets inside the electro-hydraulic clutch, it will fail after a few thousand kilometers.

In India this SUV is called the same as ours - "Creta", and visually it is the closest to the Russian version. At the same time, it can be equipped with such "bells and whistles" as a sunroof with an electric drive, induction charging for smartphones and an electric driver's seat. For Indian buyers, this crossover, again, is offered only with front-wheel drive, but in addition to the gasoline engine (1.6 MPI for 123 hp), it also boasts CRDI diesel engines with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, delivering 90 and 128 hp. respectively.

In Brazil Hyundai Creta is positioned “half a step higher” than in other countries, which is why it has a more solid appearance with different bumpers, a large radiator grille and a different rear optics pattern.
