Car enthusiast from Moscow, sells unique car, which is completely covered with the skin of the Canadian wood bison. Completely - this is not only the interior, but also the exterior and even the engine.

According to an announcement posted on Russia's largest bulletin board, Avito, the fiberglass body of the car is covered with natural Canadian bison leather, tanned and artistically etched by craftsmen from the Middle East.

Vehicle interior including information panels, are also trimmed with bison leather and expensive natural fur. This leather is also found inside the hood, as well as the engine itself and some other elements are covered with treated leather, so it can withstand high temperatures.

The seller, known only as “Rustam”, also has Swarovski crystal inserts in the engine and luggage compartment.

The ad does not mention the make of the car, although the "Lion with a sword" logo gives a nod to a Peugeot. The car has a 2.5-litre petrol engine, automatic transmission, rear wheels And steering wheel With right side. Rustam says that Leather Case car has a lifetime warranty and can be cleaned as regular car. He claims that his leather car, has no analogues, and, looking at the photo, I am inclined to believe him.

He is ready to part with this unusual auto-masterpiece for a “modest” sum of 40 million Russian rubles. That's roughly $1,215,000, but he's also willing to negotiate.

It is not yet clear who, with the exception of Buffalo Bill, would want to have such a car, the mere sight of which is enough to make any conservationist burst into tears. Although some people have a different idea of luxury and wealth than, for example, me.

It is really made of leather, although the master Valery Tatarov tells almost nothing about the technology - know-how. Leather lined body surface, interior luggage compartment, engine parts not affected by extreme temperatures. Oddly enough, such a coating carries not only an aesthetic, but also a functional load: the car cannot be scratched with small blows (for example, pebbles), it is easy to wash, and - as we ourselves felt - it is very pleasant to touch it. Moreover, I want to hug him.

It is interesting that the Atelier of Functional Luxury paid attention not only to the body and interior, but also engine compartment. Finishing technology allows you to veneer with leather elements that are subjected to serious heat. Thanks to this, the car turned out to be sustained in a single style - it is difficult to find an element devoid of leather coverage. Unless you look under the bottom.

Phase one: Irkutsk

The story began in 2007, when Irkutsk customizer Yevgeny Mikhlik bought a 1993 right-hand drive Toyota Crown to make an original show car based on it - a variation on either the GAZ-21 Volga or the well-known Holden Efijy concept. Work began to boil, and by 2009 a very spectacular four-door composite body was ready - light for its size, interesting. The body itself was made by pouring a composite (glass mat) into a pre-formed matrix, its thickness is about 10 mm, and a steel frame is welded inside - for strength and safety. Many technological elements were also changed, for example, a custom polyurethane suspension was installed. Even an unfinished, unpainted car aroused media interest, videos and articles appeared.

But it didn’t come to painting - after winter test drive Eugene decided to make a coupe out of a car. He changed the shape of the sidewalls of the body, cut the racks (doors, by the way, were originally from Honda HR-V) - and brought the car, which received the final name GAZ-21 Concept, to perfection. A burgundy beauty with a 450-horsepower Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine hidden under the hood made a splash both at exhibitions and on the streets. But time passed, the master strove for new projects - and it was decided to sell the car. More specifically, the body.

Body material: fiberglass reinforced // Dimensions: 4820 x 1760 x 1425 mm // Ground clearance: 170 mm // Number of seats: 3 // Engine: Toyota 1GZ-JE, 2492 cc // Power: 210 hp // Fuel consumption in the city: 12 l/100 km.

Phase two: Moscow

Meanwhile, in Moscow, another craftsman, the head of the Atelier of Functional Luxury and a specialist in leather and fur work, Valery Tatarov, developed a technology for finishing a car with durable leather coated. There was a demand for such a project - an original custom car was required for an English customer. Michlik's body work seemed perfect for such a car, and the GAZ-21 Concept received a second life in the form of a new car - Amulet.

The bodywork was designed around the trusty Crown, and the new owners fitted it to a different, newer frame of the same model. The engine has also changed - now under the hood of Toyota 1GZ-JE (by the way - from personal impressions - the car is very torquey and at the same time soft). The company "Kontur-avto" was engaged in the technique. The chip of the "Amulet" is not even in the design, but in the design. Because the car at close acquaintance gives the impression of insane.

This is a work of art. The car is not just covered in leather canadian bison different colors(brown and ivory). The seams are thought out - they carry a functional load and serve as decoration elements. After the wrapping, airbrush artist Mikhail Zolotov painted the car using the pinstriping technique: applied fine patterns and images with paint containing natural gold. The salon is trimmed with furs of Scandinavian mink, Barguzin sable, Siberian brown mink, and some elements are carved from mammoth bone.

The creators of the show car laugh at the price of 88 million. The machine has not yet been evaluated: this is a rather difficult process, since the evaluation is usually based on comparison, and this project is unique. So a beautiful figure is a preliminary PR (the car was completed only at the beginning of August). After evaluation by experts, it can either fall in price, or - more likely - rise in price.

The car is interesting to look at. All elements are decorated differently, everywhere there is a sea of small details: a wooden bear figurine near the passenger seat, runic symbols on the spare wheel, symbolic embroideries and leather patterns under the feet, on the roof, on the inner surfaces of the hood and trunk, on the engine. It's like a Bosch painting - an insane amount of incongruous elements add up to a whole picture.

One way or another, after getting acquainted with the "Amulet" one thing can be said. Russian customization exists. And he does not follow in the footsteps of the American, but has his own, very stylish and interesting face. Covered with natural leather.

For help in preparing the article, the editors would like to thank Valentina Ignatieva (Kontur-Avto), Valery Tatarov (Functional Luxury Atelier) and Evgeny Mikhlik (JASS ReStyling Studio)

And not more common and affordable materials, is evidence of your respectability and good taste. Leather interior can make any car truly stylish and exclusive. However, the purchase of such a machine must be approached with caution, because the design of a natural interior has not only advantages, but also.

What are the advantages of a car with a leather interior?

One of the main advantages of the car is the practicality when cleaning. If some liquid is spilled on the leather-covered seats, then it is enough to completely wipe it off with a soft cloth, while there would certainly be stains on ordinary fabric covers. For more serious cleaning of the interior, you can use a skin-friendly household chemicals. A car dealer consultant will tell you which skin care product is suitable for your car.

A leather interior is an indispensable option for those who truly care about their health and strive to surround themselves and their loved ones with exclusively natural and environmentally friendly materials. In addition, dust mites practically do not live in the skin, which in themselves can cause severe allergic reactions in sensitive people. Among other things, such ticks are carriers of various diseases.

Finally, the leather interior of the car is a certain evidence of the status of its owner, which ultimately has a positive effect on its image.

A number of disadvantages of a car with a leather interior

One of the most striking features of the leather-wrapped interior is its ability to get exceptionally hot in the sun or scalding cold in the sun. winter time. Having bought such a car, its owner quickly learns that on a hot or cold winter day you should not immediately get into the salon - first you need to let the air conditioner work so that the skin cools down or, conversely, warms up to an acceptable temperature.

Another difference between leather and more familiar ones is that they are very slippery. However, the use of seat belts and the anatomical shape of the seats with decent lateral support nullifies this feature.

If the disadvantages of a leather-covered interior are not something significant for you, then you will appreciate the respectability, practicality and durability of such a design.

A car enthusiast from Moscow, Russia is selling a unique vintage car with a boosted engine, which is completely covered with the skin of the Canadian forest bison. And by the word "completely" we mean the interior of the car, the body and even the engine ...

According to an ad posted on the largest automotive classifieds website, Avito, the car's fiberglass body is covered in genuine Canadian bison leather, tanned and artistically etched by a craftsman from the Middle East. Car interior including dashboard, also trimmed with brown bison leather and expensive natural furs. And just in case anyone thought there wasn't enough leather in the car - inner part the hood, as well as the engine and some other parts, are also covered with specially dressed leather that can withstand high temperatures. The seller, known only by the name "Rustam", stated that the engine and luggage compartment also trimmed with Swarovski crystals.

The ad does not specify the model of the car, although the lion logo that is visible in the photo suggests that it is a Peugeot. The car is equipped with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine, automatic transmission gear, rear wheel drive and the steering wheel in the car is on the right side. Rustam says the bison leather cover has a lifetime warranty and can be cleaned like any normal car. He claims that his leather-covered car is the only one in the world, and looking at the photos, it's easy to believe. He agrees to part with his abomination for a "modest" amount of 40 million Russian rubles. That's about $1,215,000, but he's willing to give in a little.

It's hard to imagine that anyone, except perhaps Buffalo Bill, would want to own this disgusting car. One look at him would be enough to make any self-respecting member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) burst into tears. Apparently some people have very distorted ideas about luxury and wealth.
