The results were divided into two groups: the first included “mass” models, and the second included premium ones. In total, experts studied 42 brands and 383 car models in the study.

The best among minivans was Chevrolet Orlando- This model, according to the results of the study, received 85% of the cost. In the middle class of premium cars, Volvo S60 pulled out to the first positions - almost 88%, Lexus IS - 85% and BMW 3-Series - 78%. In the business class, the Swedish model also turned out to be the best. concern Volvo- XC70, which received more than 92%. Jaguar XF and Lexus GS are behind it with a significant margin.

Poor results showed representatives of the luxury class premium cars. Here, the highest score of 80.5% went to the Porsche Panamera, the second place was taken by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which received only 68%, and the third - by the Lexus LS, which scored 63%.

The best premium compact SUVs were the Audi Q3, Land Rover Evoque and Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class, with roughly the same scores of 83 to 85%. The leaders among universal premium SUVs were Mercedes-Benz GL-Class- 90%, as well as Lexus LX and Land Rover Range Rover, which gained about 80% of the initial cost.

The absolute leader among all cars of both classes was the Porsche Cayenne, the price of which has not decreased over three years, but, on the contrary, has increased - the liquidity of this model is 101.4%. In addition to him, in the list of the best medium and large SUVs turned out to be Lexus RX and Volvo XC60.

According to CEO PodborAvto company Denis Eremenko, the increase in sales of used cars in Russia is due to the fact that prices for new cars are now quite high, in connection with this, buyers “switch” to secondary market and come to a compromise.

“People might want to buy a new car, but the price is so high that only a used car can afford it. And many do not want to switch to cars of a lower class, ”Yeremenko says to Gazeta.Ru.

At the same time, the expert believes that given statistics strongly tied to the European. According to him, in the Russian market mass machines completely different brands of cars are liquid.

“If we look at the report of European companies for 2016, we will see that the best-selling brand in Europe was Volkswagen. In our country, according to statistics, the best-selling cars are Kia, Hyundai and Lada. Accordingly, on the secondary market, these brands should be the most liquid, ”says Eremenko.

As for such a high liquidity of the Porsche Cayenne, according to the expert, it is primarily due to the depreciation of the ruble and the general rise in the price of premium cars.

“Given that new car was bought before the fall of the ruble, then in principle this is quite possible. On average, premium cars have risen in price by 30% since 2014. It turns out that over the three years of operation, the car could lose these 30%, but due to the rise in price, the price was compensated. However, this is a unique situation that does not characterize the car as liquid or illiquid,” concluded Eremenko.

Recall that at the end of 2016, 11% fewer new cars were sold in Russia compared to 2015.

According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), about 1.42 million new cars were sold in 2016, of which 146,000 were sold in December.
