So the volume of the trunk varies from 544 to 2245 liters, which brings the B-class to the level of large "station wagons" in carrying cargo - the maximum length of the cargo is 2.95 meters. True, removable seats are placed only on request. In the basic version, buyers will have to be content with folding rear seat backs.

(136 hp) and for those who "like it hot", a 2-liter turbocharged unit with a power of 142 kW (193 hp) and a torque of 280 Nm at 1800-4850 rpm. With the latest engine, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 225 km/h.
And for practical people there is a choice of two models equipped with diesel engines. The most powerful of diesels is a 2-liter 140-horsepower. It accelerates the car to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds. The maximum speed of a car with such an engine exceeds 200 km / h, but despite such excellent dynamic properties, fuel consumption is only 5.6 liters per 100 km. The second 1.8-liter turbodiesel has a power of 109 hp. and consumes only 6.2 liters of fuel per 100 km when driving through city traffic jams.
Diesel B-class models meet the EU-4 directive limits even without a diesel particulate filter. As an option, Mercedes-Benz offers a maintenance-free filter system that further reduces the emission of soot particles.

The design has changed to a sporty side. The car received wider and larger headlights, and the radiator grille also increased. According to representatives of Mercede-Benz, this generation of the B-class has one of the best aerodynamic drag indicators in its class - 0.26, and for some body kit elements (for example, small spoilers in the wheel arches), allowing to reduce this indicator, even were obtained patents.
The interior of the compact van has noticeably changed, there is more free space, and the quality of finishing materials has been improved. The height of the cabin (in the version without a glass sliding roof) is 1047 millimeters, the height of the seats relative to the road has decreased by 86 millimeters to facilitate entry and exit, and the amount of free space in the rear row of seats exceeds that of even the S- and E-Class cars and reaches 976 millimeters.
Trunk volume is 488 liters, but thanks to the Easy-Vario-Plus system (optional), which allows you to move the second row seats forward and backward in the range of 140 mm, the boot volume can be increased to 666 liters, and also provides the ability to fold the front passenger seat for transportation oversized things.
The B-Class engine range will include new 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engines equipped with BlueDIRECT direct fuel injection with an injection pressure of 200 bar. Higher pressure results in finer atomization and therefore more efficient combustion. This technology was previously only used on more powerful V6 and V8 engines.
On the B 180 modification, the new engine will develop 122 horsepower, and on the B 200 - 156 horsepower. The maximum torque of these engines is 200 and 250 Nm respectively, which is available from 1250 rpm. Diesels are represented by two 1.8-liter "fours". On a diesel Mercedes B 180 CDI, the unit develops 109 hp. and a peak moment of 250 Nm, while the more powerful B 200 CDI has 136 “horses” and 300 Nm of torque at its disposal. For all engines, an upgraded six-speed manual or a new seven-speed dual-clutch 7G-DCT robot will be available.
Of course, not without many different security systems. Mercedes B-Class 2012 is equipped with a PRE-SAFE preventive system designed to prevent collisions, a tracking system for “dead” zones and crossing a continuous lane marking, a traffic sign recognition system, a rear view camera, adaptive head optics and a parking assistance system.

The new Mercedes-Benz B-Class debuted at the 2014 Paris International Motor Show. In fact, the model is the first planned restyling of the second generation, presented to the world community back in 2011. It is not difficult to distinguish a novelty from its predecessor. The rounded, elongated headlights with lensed optics and elegant sections of LED daytime running lights catch the eye. The radiator grille is made in the corporate style and flaunts a large manufacturer's logo. It has a concave shape and consists of two horizontally oriented chrome fins. Below, on the front bumper, there is a small trapezoidal air intake, covered with a plastic grille. On the sides of it are special recesses with black inserts, reminiscent of air intakes. In general, the car received a stylish and modern appearance, but at the same time it has not lost its charm and is still perfectly recognizable on the road.

The Mercedes-Benz B class is a five-door hatchback in the subcompact class. Its overall dimensions are: length 4393 mm, width 1786 mm, height 1557 mm, and the wheelbase is 2699 mm. The fuel consumption of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class will be 6.9 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers at an urban pace with frequent acceleration and braking, 4.7 liters during a measured trip along a country road and 5.5 liters of fuel per hundred in a combined cycle movement.
