Where is the Renault factory located? Where are Renault cars assembled? Renault budget cars in Russia

The Renault Duster crossover is a very popular model in many countries. In Russia, for example, the car is recognized as the most popular crossover. In order to reduce the cost of the model, Renault founded its assembly right in the capital - in Moscow, at the Avtoframos plant, whose capacity, by the way, reaches 160 thousand cars a year.

The Russian version of the Duster is slightly different from the crossovers assembled in other countries. For example, a crossover is adapted to a cold climate: the engine is prepared to start when low temperatures, generator with increased power allows you to maintain stable work electrical equipment, and fluids are designed to operate at cold temperatures.

As it was written above, the model is included in the list of Russian bestsellers and the queue for the car has reached several months. In this regard, potential buyers have a question - is it possible to buy a Renault Duster from the factory without intermediaries, that is, dealers? We answer - it is impossible. The purchase of a Duster in any configuration and with any engine must be carried out through, of which there are plenty in our country, and in major cities the number of dealers exceeds a dozen, or even several dozen pieces.

In any case, you must understand that you will receive your Duster from the Avtoframos plant - it is not produced anywhere else in our country, and it is unprofitable to deliver from abroad - in this case the crossover will cost too much.

In addition, while the financial crisis reigns in the country, the lines for the Duster have dissipated and now you can come in almost any configuration, because sales have fallen. Most importantly, do not stop at one dealer - if he does not have the version you need, feel free to go to another dealer.

About build quality

I would also like to say about the quality Renault assembly Duster. Due to the fact that a queue formed behind the car, rumors began to appear that, allegedly in pursuit of quantity, the quality of production at the plant had sharply decreased. In fact, these words have no basis. Quality is closely monitored, so you can not worry that you will get a obviously low-quality car.

The French company Renault has been on the engineering market for over a century. Reliable, beautiful, interesting developments - this is about her. But when buying a car, you want to know that the money is paid for the quality guaranteed by the manufacturer. There is an opinion that for different countries cars are assembled differently. Is it so? Some people prefer to buy cars in the manufacturer's home country. Is such a tradition relevant here and where is Renault assembled in Russia? There are many car models, but Russians have recently been interested in questions about where Renault Sandero, Renault Kaptur and other models are assembled.

Another important and interest Ask- Does Renault for the Russian car market differ from those models that come to dealers in Europe. And are there any differences between the same Renault Sandero Stepway or Renault Duster in Russia and abroad? Is it worth chasing quality, buying a car abroad and then wasting time on ensuring that it meets all the laws and regulations. Where is the Renault plant located in Russia?

In Russia today there are two factories of the company, where Renault Duster, Renault Captur and other models of this car are assembled. But this does not mean at all that only the Russian assembly is available from dealers. The Renault Group owns almost 25% of the shares of AvtoVAZ in Tolyatti and its own Renault Russia enterprise in Moscow, so the question of where Renault Logan, Renault Kaptur and other models of these cars are assembled does not exist by itself.

In addition, plants and assembly lines have been built in dozens of countries around the world and only high-quality cars are produced everywhere.

On Russian market, among the most popular models, you can buy:

  • Renault LOGAN - completely Russian assembly from Tolyatti and Moscow;
  • Renault Sandero, Renault Sandero Steway - assembly from Moscow;
  • Renault Duster - assembly from Moscow or Brazilian production;
  • Renault Megane - found both in France, Turkey, Spain, and the Moscow assembly;
  • Renault Fluence - Turkish and Moscow assembly.

The company's policy is such that in large countries it seeks to create a complete production cycle, bringing it as close as possible to self-sufficiency. This approach just allows you to control the quality in full.

Plus - helps to reduce production costs, make products more affordable. Which, in turn, helps to keep a strong hold on the new car market, showing high sales figures.

And it all started under the Romanov family in the Russian Empire.

How did Renault appear in Russia?

Nicholas II was skeptical about cars. At the same time, the king had his own trains, his own yacht, but not a car. Until 1903, it was forbidden to use this type of transport in the Crimea. However, one day everything changed.

In 1903 the Tsar came to Hesse. The brother of the German emperor Ernest Ludwig - the Grand Duke of Hesse and the Rhine, who loved cars, knowing about the attitude of the Russian tsar to this transport, could not resist and took a ride with Nicholas II.

A wonderful invention with its comfort, wisdom and simplicity made the proper impression, managed to please. Already in 1909, the tsar acquired a garage for his own iron horses. Initially, these were only two cars, but by 1914 he had more than 50 cars at his disposal. So he became the owner of the a large number cars among the rulers of the world of those times.

Five Romanov cars flashed with Renault nameplates. The king was very pleased with the invention. Mechanical engineering was just developing. The leadership of the French enterprise was interested in friendship with Russia, and Nicholas II was passionate about the idea, no longer hindered scientific and technological progress.

In 1916, on the territory of the Tsarist Empire appeared Joint-Stock Company Russian Renault. In Rybinsk, a plant was built on the basis of state loan, but the production of Renault for the Russian market did not begin here.

After the Great October Socialist Revolution of 1917, the friendship between the state and the company ceased. The property was nationalized and put into operation for the benefit of the people. In the USSR, for many years, cars were repaired at a plant in Rybinsk, aircraft engines were created. The plant was especially important during the war years. It is still intact today, more than 80% owned by the state, it functions and assembles engines, as always.

Renault company and the state of the USSR

The Soviet authorities did not remain indifferent to Renault technologies. These assembled cars were popular, they were bought. But it took a long time before the company was able to implement its policy. In the 60s of the XX century, a representative office of a foreign enterprise appeared in Moscow.

The continuation of partnerships was the introduction and modernization of engineering technologies. It was a mutually beneficial process - in the 80s, a quarter of the cars produced by the USSR included Renault technologies.

During perestroika, the company changed along with the state - more precisely, it opened its first Moscow office again, in 1992. And in 1998, she signed an agreement on the creation of her own production capacity. Was created joint venture"Autoframos".

It was engaged in the construction of a full cycle plant, not forgetting about partial assembly. In 2012, all Avtoframos shares ended up in the hands of the Renault concern. The company became CJSC Renault Russia. So it turned out that Moscow and Togliatti are the cities where Renault is produced in Russia.

In the Russian Federation, only the most modern developments are always used for production. This is a tradition. After all, it was this approach that allowed the company to become popular among both people and authorities.

She is still innovative. Renault recently joined forces with the Japanese corporation Nissan, survived the crisis in connection with this, but managed to get out of a steep dive. Today she is back on top.

New Renault models in Russia

For a French company automotive market Russia is one of the key. That is why the leaders of the Renault concern pay a lot of attention to our country.

In mid-March 2016, a magnificent and representative event took place, at which they were officially shown. Renault Kaptur is specially designed for Russian motorists. There are a number of differences between the Captur for Russia and the Captur offered in Europe.

Renault Kaptur will be assembled at the Moscow Renault plant, and it will go on sale towards the end of summer 2016.

In addition, by 2017, the automaker promises to bring to the Russian market a new generation of the popular Duster models. Designers and designers of Renault make a lot of efforts to please drivers all over the world no worse than the same Renault Captur. It is already known that there will be significant changes in the technical component of the model.

Cars are increasingly seen on the roads of our country. According to the results of independent studies, Renault is second only to the domestic AvtoVAZ in terms of popularity and saleability in Russia and is the absolute leader among foreign cars. Today we will find out who is the manufacturer in Russia, and how the factories that produce world-famous models are equipped.

Excursion into history

It would seem that not so long ago, the production of a European-level car in our country was out of the question. For a long time experts argued that the level of equipment of most automobile factories leaves much to be desired, not to mention the quality of equipment and the level of training of specialists. However, over the past few years, the assembly shops of many modern foreign companies, and the equipment of the plants themselves is now built in accordance with the highest and most stringent European requirements for the manufacturer.

Oddly enough, the Renault plant is the first company that appeared in the vastness of Russia and began to develop the domestic market.

The enterprise, which arose back in 1998 on the ruins of the AZLK, which went bankrupt after the collapse of the USSR, underwent a complete reconstruction, overhaul and refurbishment.

The first factory to start production Renault cars in Russia, started small. So, at first, such Renault models like Megan and Scenic. A little later, in 2005, the plant produced the first model of a complete production cycle - the first generation Logan.

During its history, the plant, which came of age this year, has “mastered” the production technology of most of the Renault models currently being produced. Today, the manufacturer assembles models such as Koleos, Sandero, Fluence and Logan of the latest generation.

Inside view

The plant "Avtoframos" mastered modern technologies that are prescribed European manufacturer, gradually. However, on this moment, the level of equipment and training of Renault specialists is in no way inferior to most foreign auto giants.

First of all, the management of the plant, located in Russia, paid attention to the training of personnel. So, soon after the launch of car assembly in our country, leading European engineers were attracted to the Russian Federation to train newly minted specialists in the features of assembling foreign cars.

At the moment, the most thorough selection of personnel is carried out at the Renault plant, which is located in Russia, thanks to which only the best candidates who have distinguished themselves are allowed to the assembly line. high level training and qualifications.

The second feature of Avtoframos is the availability of the latest assembly lines and equipment, thanks to which the process of assembling and testing cars in Russia is many times faster, and the likelihood of producing another Renault with malfunctions is reduced to zero. For each separate model, manufactured in Russia, has its own assembly shop, in which the semi-automatic assembly line has its own characteristics inherent in a particular model, and is strictly controlled by trained and qualified operators.

The business started by 3 brothers in France in 1899 has turned decades later into a very profitable business, and now Renault is 4th largest automaker in the world through its partnership with Nissan in the form of the Renault-Nissan holding company, and today Renault cars are assembled in various parts of the world on different continents. There are Renault assembly plants in Russia, and not even one, because the brand is very popular in our country.

In Russia, Renault presents subsidiary Renault-Russia (known as "Avtoframos" until 2014), which began its work in our country in 1998. Renault-Russia, thus, also represents its own car plant, which is actually a joint venture with the Moscow government. Here, several of the most popular Renault models among Russians are assembled at once. In addition, Renault cars are also assembled at the AvtoVAZ plant - Renault owns a 25% stake in the largest Russian automaker.

Thus, among the largest car factories where Renault is produced and assembled, the following should be highlighted:

  • The Romanian plant produces cars mainly for the entire European market. Romanian-assembled Renault cars can also be found in Russia.
  • AvtoVAZ - cars for Russia are assembled here.
  • Automobile plant "Renault-Russia" near Moscow - assembly of most Renault models is established here, and this is the most major supplier finished machines in Russia
  • A car factory in Brazil - from here cars of the brand do not reach Russia.
  • Indian Automobile Plant - Renault production is established here for the domestic market, as well as for a small number of countries in Asia and Africa.

So, now let's find out where Renault cars are assembled directly by model.

Where is Renault Logan assembled?

The most popular model Renault cars in Russia, Logan, has won such a status for itself, largely due to its low cost and overall price / quality ratio as a great alternative. Inexpensive price for Renault Logan, in turn, is a consequence of the almost full-cycle Russian assembly models at two car factories at once: at the Renault-Russia plant near Moscow and at AvtoVAZ.

As for the build quality and which Renault build logan is better, then this question is wide open - only Logans of the 2014 generation are assembled at AvtoVAZ, and in Moscow the model is assembled much longer. In addition, the assembly cycle is deeper precisely in Moscow - only panels and assemblies come here, and welding, direct assembly, as well as painting are already done in Russia. However, despite such a difference in the assembly processes, the disadvantages of both assemblies are almost the same: squeaks and uneven gaps between body parts, although such shortcomings manifest themselves, of course, not on all Logan cars.

Where is Renault Sandero assembled?

Another well-selling car in Russia - Renault Sandero and its "big brother" - Sandero Stepway, began to be sold in our country in 2009; and immediately Russian assembly. At the Avtoframos plant, now Renault Russia near Moscow, an almost complete assembly cycle of Renault Sandero cars has been established.

Where is the Renault Duster assembled?

And here is the most popular and one of the most inexpensive (perhaps the most inexpensive among non-Chinese and non-Chinese crossovers). Russian production) crossover and Renault's best-selling SUV not only in Russia, but throughout the world. No wonder the car is assembled at all major Renault car factories, including factories in India, Brazil, India and others.

In Russia, Renault Duster is assembled at the same Renault-Russia plant near Moscow. Its conveyors are designed to produce more than 150 thousand cars per year, fully meeting the demand for the model in our country and even neighboring countries.

Where is Renault Megane assembled?

The oldest model of the company, Megan, has been satisfying car enthusiasts in our country since 1996, when the car replaced the outdated Renault 19 model. Since then, the car has gone through three generations and even more restylings, and this model was assembled everywhere! But let's go in order.

The first generation of Megan was a "purebred" Frenchman - a car for Russia was assembled at the Douai car plant in northern France. In addition, for some other markets, the first generation Renault Megan was also produced in the Spanish city of Palencia. And since 2002, the second generation of the car saw the light. At first, the car was produced simultaneously in three countries: a sedan in Turkey, a station wagon in Spain, and hatchbacks all in the same France, but then, after the redesign, Renault cars were assembled in Turkey - at the Oyak-Renault car plant near the city of Bursa. It was from that moment until 2011 that Megan was delivered to Russia, assembled in Turkey. The third generation was also assembled in Turkey and for some time in Russia - from 2012 to 2013 - at the Avtoframos plant. And, starting in 2014, after restyling the third generation, Megan again began to gather in Russia near Moscow.

Where is Renault Fluence assembled?

One of the youngest models on the Russian market and in the whole world, Renault Fluence, first saw the light in 2009, but the Russians first got acquainted with the model in 2010, when its production was launched at the car factory, which was then called Avtoframos "(now Renault-Russia). In addition, almost simultaneously with the sales of Russian-assembled Fluence, cars began to be imported to Russia and from Turkey, where they were assembled at the Oyak-Renault automobile plant. And in 2013, after restyling, Fluence for Russia is also assembled in South Korea at the Renault plant.

A car factory in the capital of the state just eight kilometers from the Kremlin is nonsense in modern world. Rent, a communal apartment, the cost of wages in Moscow is a priori higher than in the regions. However, the Renault enterprise, located on the territory of the former AZLK, is not in danger yet. This winter, the Moscow government extended the validity of the old tax rates for the plant, as well as rental payments until the end of 2020. The reorientation of the site to the production of crossovers, the added value of which is higher than that of cars(The last Logans of the first generation were assembled here back in 2015). And in addition, the beginning of preparation for the production of another model speaks about the cloudless future of the plant. I managed to visit the workshops with the last tour - after that, the company introduced a special confidentiality regime, which will last until the launch of the production of a new machine.

The current director of the Renault Moscow plant, Jean-Louis Theron, previously worked in India and organized the production of a budget SUV

What do we know about her? So far, alas, not much. Last September chief designer Renault Laurens van den Acker about the new crossover, which will be "true Renault", that is, it will not become a kind of any Dacia. The company calls this car C-SUV, that is, a class C crossover, and they promise to show it at the upcoming Moscow Motor Show, which will open in August. During the tour, we also managed to find out what is the basis Russian car the next iteration of the B0 platform (aka Global Access) will fall - and it will become longer and wider; the factory workers did not disclose other differences from the current version.

Shot from last year's Renault presentation

The new crossover will appear not only in Russia. According to , the same version will be on the B0 cart in Brazil and China, and for South Korea the car will be transferred to a more expensive platform. Incidentally, in Europe new model will not appear due to the danger of competition with the current Renault Kadjar SUV (similar to the model Nissan Qashqai). Based on this statement, it is easy to estimate that a certain “simplified Kadjar” awaits us, that is, a crossover slightly larger than Qashqai.

Renault Kadjar for the European market

However, there is nothing to reproach Laurens van den Acker with: there really is no such car in the range of the Dacia brand and there will not be, and the B0 platform, let me remind you, was originally designed for Renault hatchback Clio second generation.

Modernization of the plant under new crossover already started. And the first thing the French did was to eliminate the second welding line, which prepared the bodies for the Fluence and Megane models. This suggests that cars of this class will no longer be produced in Moscow and now all manufacturing process the plant can only have one stream.

In the first quarter of this year, 46 additional robots Fanuc, almost doubling their total number. The expansion of automation has affected mainly the welding area of the front body modules. In general, robots here are now responsible for both welding the floor elements and connecting it to the sidewalls: for this operation, replaceable conductors are installed (its own for each model), which automatically set correct geometry body. Workers with manual welding guns at the Renault plant have become much smaller over the past few years, but the degree of automation of the welding line still reaches only 24%.

By the way, the workers themselves at the enterprise are recruited on a 50:50 basis: half of the employees are residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, and the other half are migrants from the southern republics. My own observations in the workshops confirm this proportion. The management of the plant is not embarrassed by this: still, after all, visitors are not so demanding in terms of wages and related employment conditions. The main thing, they say, is that all applicants go through the same three-month training process, only after which they are allowed to the assembly line.

Ahead of the plant is the modernization of the painting complex: it will be adapted to a larger model and robots will also be added. By the way, forced layoffs of those workers who are replaced by robots on the line are not practiced at the Renault plant: people are retrained and transferred to other posts (of which there are about a thousand), and staff reduction is ensured due to the natural outflow of personnel.

Automation of the assembly line with a length of 700 meters is not yet planned, but additional equipment for the new SUV, of course, will appear here. In the meantime, three models are on the conveyor: Renault Duster, Renault Captur And Nissan Terrano(they will remain after the start of production of the C-crossover). And I hasten to dispel the established myth: there is no additional quality control and selection of components when assembling Nissans. The plant has a single quality control standard Renault-Nissan Alliance which applies to all models. Once again for the most naive: throwing 50-70 thousand rubles for a Terrano compared to a similar Duster, you pay extra only for a different brand and a modified design.

On the conveyor, all three models are interspersed, in accordance with a series of orders received by the factory from dealers: for a white Duster in basic configuration with unpainted bumpers and stamped wheels, a two-tone Kaptur with all-wheel drive And " full mincemeat". The required sequence of supply of components is observed by electronics, and containers are brought to the workshops mainly by drones.

Their widespread introduction at Renault's Moscow plant began three years ago, along with the optimization of supply chains. Now the park Vehicle exceeds 110 copies - they have almost completely replaced the usual loaders and conveyors with operators behind the wheel from the shops. Moreover, the first 90 copies were bought in Japan, and since last year, the plant began producing its own drones, 50% consisting of Russian components! Although it is clear that the most expensive and responsible electronic components are still imported. In addition, 12 such carts were sent to the Lada Izhevsk plant, and in this Renault will ship another 15 copies.

The drones themselves are small tractors with electric drive and program management. They communicate with the central computer via a Wi-Fi channel, hook up large carts with components and drive along magnetic lines laid across the floor. These things crawl slowly, accompanying the process with a melody from an old Super Mario console toy. But, as the factory workers assure, the main advantage of such self-propelled guns over manned transporters is safety: they have a system automatic braking, and the number of collisions at the plant was reduced to almost zero.

The doors are removed from the bodies immediately after they arrive at the assembly line. They are taken away for assembly to a separate workshop and hung on cars for final stage assembly

As for the localization of manufactured cars, the company does not disclose the figure for cars assembled in Moscow, limiting itself to a corporate-wide result of 66%, which also takes into account the production of Logan and Sandero models at AvtoVAZ. But this is a very solid indicator! For metropolitan crossovers localized dashboard and all plastic panels interior, air conditioning units, seats, bumpers, tires, wheels, radiators, fuel tanks... 1.6 engines come from Tolyatti, and the lion's share of stamped parts is supplied by the Kaluga plant Gestamp Severstal and the Moscow company AAT (Alpha Automotive Technologies). This is a joint venture between ZIL and Japanese company IHI, which was previously located on the territory of ZIL itself, but last year the workshop was forced to move to the Moscow district of Biryulyovo. Some of the hardware comes from Romania and Turkey.

The new crossover will also have a high degree localization. Moreover, even prototypes for sea trials will not be made in France or Romania, where Renault's main development centers are located, but here in Moscow. Factory workers already have a similar experience of industrialization, because Russian enterprise two years ago became the head for crossover Renault captur. The organization of production then was successful, and after that Russian specialists were invited to lead the launch of Kaptur at factories in and.

Modernization and increased automation will not affect the capacity of the Moscow plant, which is 190,000 cars a year. There is simply no need for more, because last year only 99 thousand cars rolled off the assembly line. Now the enterprise works in two shifts, but not five, but four days a week, it takes 25 hours to produce one car. Preparations for the release of the new crossover will be lengthy: although the car will be presented in August, however mass production, By Information Autoreview will only start in 2019. And only after that it will get to Russia. So you'll have to be patient.

BONUS:

Once on the territory of the plant, you begin to understand where the majority of the first generation Koleos sold in Russia went. Now these machines are withdrawn from the corporate park and put up for sale. And the fight against costs can be traced here at all levels.
