A station wagon will appear a little later than the hatchback.

In general, the Kalina platform is designed in such a way that it is suitable for a variety of modifications: from a coupe to a microvan, including those with an all-wheel drive transmission. The expansion of the model range is still constrained by the lack of space for a new technological equipment. But this problem is completely solvable, and in the foreseeable future.

With regard to Kalina, we are very closely involved in diesel engines. Samples with imported motors are already being tested. But the final decision has not yet been made, so talking about diesel version more early. But another novelty, as they say, is at the doorstep: in the summer, dealers will receive the first "priors" with a sedan body. They will be produced with 1.6-liter 8- and 16-valve engines, familiar from the machines of the "tenth" family. But Priora will not force it off the assembly line, but will complement the VAZ lineup. Sitting behind the wheel, the buyer will immediately understand that the novelty is more modern, more spacious, more comfortable than the current Togliatti models of this class. Therefore, we will build it in accordance with the specific requirements of the military. Over time, apparently, there will be a civilian version.

Long-term plans, of course, still have to be adjusted, responding primarily to market requirements. The main thing: the strategic directions for the development of VAZ have been determined. We are focused on specific, noticeable results not only in sports, but most importantly - in the creation of serial mass models.
