All brakes are disc brakes. They have three interesting features.

The second feature is purely constructive: the front brakes do not have any protective shields, which is especially noticeable on the crossover, albeit a “pseudo”. The first consequences are also noticeable: the handbrake cable is already beginning to rust.

Before we go directly to the chassis, let's look at the car from below.

First, protective anti-corrosion coating the bottom of the car has already cracked and slowly begins to crumble from the body. This does not mean that the bottom is already starting to rot - it is still clean, there are no signs of corrosion on it. But, most likely, it will be if the anticorrosive is not updated. We long and meticulously examined the body in an attempt to find any flaws in the assembly or painting. But here Dongfeng was pleasantly surprised: it was not possible to find fault with the body. Yes, some gaps cannot be called ideal, but Dongfeng is not a Mercedes, and the body is not bad for its price niche.

True, the stories about its full galvanization seem like a good fairy tale: the owner of Cross specially went to look at the same car after an accident and made sure that there was no smell of galvanization there. There are a few more small quibbles: the gas tank hatch is a little crooked and touches the corner of the body, which is why it is already visible in this place paintwork damage.
