Test drive Crete 1.6 automatic four-wheel drive. All-wheel drive Hyundai Creta - four wheels are better than two

Test drive Crete 1.6 automatic four-wheel drive. All-wheel drive Hyundai Creta - four wheels are better than two

22.09.2019

I won’t talk for a long time about Creta’s appearance, everything has already been told and shown. I'd rather talk about the changes. One all-wheel drive in new versions was not enough, they added a new “Comfort Plus” package, compared to the well-known “Comfort”, the new configuration appeared: projection-type headlights with cornering illumination when turning the steering wheel, front fog lights and LED daytime running lights .

Having started a test drive in the city, you can’t immediately say that you are driving a new version, only 1.6 4x4 automatic cars were provided for the test. During normal driving on a hard road, only the front wheels drive the car, and in heavy traffic it is very difficult to feel the difference with front-wheel drive. Once out on the track, it became much easier to notice the changes; the very first overtaking hints at worsening dynamics, the loss in acceleration to 100 km / h is 1 second, a total of 13.1 s, so be more careful when overtaking and calculate the maneuver in advance. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the car on the track.

But do you need all-wheel drive for highway travel? The organizers laid a rather difficult track, taking into account the fact that we are testing a crossover, and not a full-fledged SUV. The off-road section, by the way, is located not far from Kolomna, which made it possible to keep the mud in liquid form, in Moscow everything froze that day, and in the north of the region it snowed at all. On the off-road, the lack of power was not felt at all, the Creta climbed steep climbs with ease and descended them with no less ease, thanks to the hill descent assistance system. Crete crawls well through puddles and ruts, very confident, even if you forgot to turn on the clutch lock. Hanging one of the 4 wheels is also not able to stop the Korean crossover, it rides as long as there is a “hook” on the road tires.

Having got out of a serious off-road, I managed to ride plenty on primers, of varying degrees of damage, and Creta again struck with her suspension: it is very difficult to catch a test and there is no buildup, the engineers found a very good compromise.

If you compare it in absentia with the French competitors Duster or Ka tur, then they still lead on the primer, but on good roads Hyundai Creta easily wins back the gap and goes far ahead.

The main advantage of the new versions is, of course, the price, the version with mechanics costs from 969,900 rubles for the Active package, others are not yet offered, so you will have to pay 25,000 rubles for heating the steering wheel and rear seats, and another 20,000 for improved headlights and foglights rubles. All-wheel drive Creta with a 1.6 liter engine. (121 hp) and an automatic in the Comfort Plus configuration is available at a price of 1,139,900 rubles, which is only 60 tr. cheaper than a similar version with a two-liter engine, which is noticeably more dynamic on the highway, and in the city Creta can “be smart” with it. As for the surcharge compared to front-wheel drive and automatic, then the amount is already 80t.r. for a similar set.

Conclusion. The more versions, the better, of course, I personally see new Hyundai customers like this: 1.6 engine, automatic and all-wheel drive - this is a car for a beloved wife when her husband chooses this car. In winter it will not get stuck, in summer it will not accelerate much =). But the mechanics and all-wheel drive should already appeal to husbands, especially in small cities, traffic jams in which are not around the clock.

The Hendevs themselves predict an increase in the share of all-wheel drive versions in the sales structure of Creta from the current 30% to 50%, and I believe in it. By the way, there is still a queue for Krety, 3 months of production from the St. Petersburg plant have been bought out, maybe it's time for you to queue?

It sold over 35,000 cars sold. This is approximately 20% of the total sales of the brand in the domestic market. And, apparently, the Koreans are not going to stop and will continue to consolidate their success, bringing to light more and more new modifications and configurations of this crossover.

Yes, eight months later, the Korean manufacturer decided to stir up passions around the tearing Creta sales line by slightly updating it. So for the crossover, the Comfort Plus package became available, in which, in comparison with the ordinary Comfort, were added: projection-type headlights with cornering lights that respond to the rotation of the steering wheel; front fog lights and LED DRLs. The Active package received the same options as part of the Light package. And to further attract the attention of the client, a luxurious red with the complex name R4R Fiery Red was added to the body color palette.

However, Creta's main acquisition in the first update was all-wheel drive for the crossover version with a 1.6-liter engine. Yes, now, if we compare the prices for all-wheel drive Creta with a 2.0-liter engine and an automatic gearbox and a 1.6-liter engine on mechanics, all-wheel drive has become 210,000 rubles cheaper. In general, from now on, those who wanted to join the club of all-wheel drive Korean cars, but did not have enough funds, can do this for 969,900 rubles. True, it is worth noting here that, for example, a French Duster with a 4x4 drive will cost 755,990 rubles. So with him, Creta will be hard to measure price tags. But Kaptur, which is closer to the Korean in spirit, appearance, interior and audience in all-wheel drive, will already cost more than Hyundai Creta - 1,059,000 rubles. But here it is worth considering that even in the basic version with front-wheel drive, Kaptur offers a huge number of options that are not available for the initial Creta trim levels. But, for those who have been keeping an eye on the Korean, the appearance of all-wheel drive at a more affordable price is very good news.

To get acquainted with the new version of the popular crossover in Russia, we went to the glorious city of Kolomna. Taste marshmallows, feast on rolls, and take a walk along the fortress walls.

Creta with a 1.6-liter engine, all-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic goes down the track no worse than the front-wheel drive version. The only difference is that the crossover seemed a little more comfortable, thanks to the multi-link rear suspension. No, you should not expect the comfort of a Genesis executive sedan here. Still, the unevenness of the asphalt is felt as a fifth point and a little more clearly, on the back sofa. But there is some progress. As well as in the management of an all-wheel drive crossover. Not to say that I had complaints about the front-wheel drive version, but the Creta with a 1.6-liter engine and all-wheel drive, it feels like it is more interesting to go through cornering bundles. More reliable, more precise, more provocative, even allowing you to do it at higher speeds. At the same time, it is felt how the car resists skidding, reliably clinging to the asphalt and holding on to a given trajectory.

Yes, dynamics are still lacking. The 1.6-liter engine requires high speed, which is quite noisy. But only in this case does traction appear, allowing you to more or less confidently maneuver in the stream. The peak torque of 148 Nm falls at about 4500-5000 rpm, so it’s better to manipulate when overtaking an automatic transmission in manual mode - it’s just more convenient to keep the engine in good shape. And still, it is worth considering the fact that rapid overtaking and ultra-fast starts from a standstill are not about him.

But with economical driving here, it seems, is in order. Getting out of the capital in moderate traffic jams, our all-wheel drive Creta with a 1.6-liter engine consumed about 11.5 liters per hundred, which turned into 10.2 liters on the highway. And the downward trend was clearly present. However, I admit that with a full load of roads, the consumption will be about twelve liters of commercials.

The congress to the off-road section did not make any revelations. Everything is predictable, because all-wheel drive went to Creta from older Tucson and Santa Fe models. Definitely, his appearance in the modification of the crossover with a junior engine will give more confidence off the road. Moreover, in addition to it, in the arsenal of the Korean crossover there are a number of systems that make it easier to travel along the country road.

For example, going down a sand slide is best done by activating the downhill assist system. All business is to press a button and release all the pedals. Electronics will do everything for you, and with greater virtuosity, because it does not rudely slow down the pedal, but only partially bites the necessary wheels with pads, like a real juggler. Bottom line: creaking ABS and working ESP - the crossover gently descends a steep hill at a speed set by the electronics and completely smoothly, as if along a ruler.

Wet grass, gullies, puddles - stepping on the gas and passing through, maneuvering between bumps and stones, in such a section on a front-wheel drive Creta with a 99% probability it will skid you. With all-wheel drive, the 1.6-liter Creta navigates the same situation much better, even if you have not forced the clutch that divides the moment between the axles in a 50:50 ratio. Yes, it is worth recalling that the forced clutch lock works at speeds up to 30 km / h. Then it opens up. True, the lock icon, for some reason, remains on the instrument panel, misleading the driver. To turn off the indicator, you need to press the lock button again.

Pits, potholes, bumps - the Creta suspension forgives a lot. You can beat off-road without slowing down the gas - you will endure it. The only thing she doesn't like is big hard ruts or holes. If the Creta's compression travel is pretty solid, it's enough to keep it from breaking down. Then, getting into the pit and stretching out, the front shock absorbers quickly choose the course. However, everything is limited to a deaf, not frightening blow. And now remember, how often do you drive off-road, headlong and not sparing the car? From here it is easy to calculate the probability that you, for the entire time you own a crossover, will hear this unpleasant echo of the confrontation between suspension and off-road. In my case, I'm sure this chance is zero. And just because of the profession, I allow myself to relax a little.

Well, this is it - an all-wheel drive modification of the Hyundai Creta with a junior 1.6-liter engine. The Koreans deftly removed the question hovering in the air: “why don’t all versions of Creta have all-wheel drive?”. It also prepared for the rise in popularity of all-wheel-drive models, which Hyundai predicts will soon make up 50 percent of total auto sales.

Provet test drive of the new Hyundai Creta 2.0 AWD on the mountain roads of Altai. Below, he talks about his impressions after testing the all-wheel drive crossover.

I press the start button of the 2.0-liter engine - and in response, silence. Only the tachometer needle jumps to the idle mark, indicating an excellent level of vibration protection, the same as with the 1.6 engine. True, during dynamic acceleration, the older engine sounds louder than the base engine at high speeds, despite the fact that it does not like others.

The first reaction to gas is lively, but then the fuse dries up: you increase the fuel supply while driving at speed, and the result is modest. There are exactly 150 forces here? The six-speed "automatic" for the budget segment is good: in the modern spirit, it actively blocks the torque converter. The shifts are soft, and you can only complain about a second delay in the transitions down, sometimes too active, two steps at a time.

Isn't that why the consumption of gasoline (thanks at least for the "ninety-second") turns out to be rather big? For 350 "route" kilometers along the Chuisky tract, the onboard computer counted 9.5 l / 100 km, because with each overtaking, engine weakness provokes squeezing all the juice out of the engine. And this is with the air conditioner turned off (the weather in Altai allows) and even more so the energy-consuming heating of the seats, steering wheel, windshield ...

The Hyundai Creta 2.0 on a test drive is just as pleased with the lightweight steering wheel in the parking lot as its small-volume sister, but at high speeds the electric power steering provides greater transparency. A heart-to-heart talk with this chassis comes out only a little insincere, but the vast majority of interlocutor buyers will be satisfied.

One thing is confusing: after returning to Moscow, it turned out that the test cars were shod with non-standard Hankook tires instead of Chinese-made Nexen tires. So, I will not rush to the conclusion that on 17-inch tires Greta clings to the asphalt better and reacts a little more accurately to the steering wheel.

But the ride is worse. A car with a 1.6 engine (and I was once again convinced of this in Altai) is only a little harsh, but in general it rides very collected and thoroughbred. The suspension of the two-liter version is clamped in the midrange zone, most likely due to the fact that with all the options the car is one and a half hundredweight heavier. It turns out that the warped, “humpbacked” asphalt on a long journey begins to tire.

Swallowing shock absorbers provoke not to slow down on a country road, but the AWD all-wheel drive from the Tucson crossover, as we remember, is prone to overheating of the rear wheel coupling. Creta is 130 kg lighter, and in any case, on the rocky shores of the Katun, the clutch did not express discontent. The button for its forced locking is fixed in the pressed position, the Lock light is on at any speed - just look at the instructions and you feel deceived: in fact, the clutches are compressed only up to 30 km / h. Well, at least there is a blockage at all, as is the descent assistance system.

Vadim Gagarin from auto.mail.ru conducted a comparison test between Hyundai Greta and Renault Kaptur to find out which of these SUVs is preferable. The main thoughts of the author of the test drive are given below.

A two-liter Creta can also be bought in a front-wheel drive version, saving 80 thousand rubles on this. Kaptur, on the contrary, with a top engine is offered only with four driving wheels. That is why the Frenchman starts rather slowly from a place (although the characteristics assure that he accelerates to a hundred faster than Crete), and the box sometimes twitches when switching.

Before overtaking, it is better to switch to a step down in manual mode, and on the track such a Kaptur upsets with increased crankshaft speeds. Which, however, does not affect the acoustic comfort in any way - a very quiet car! Greta's forte is a six-speed automatic, available for any of the two engines (1.6 and 2.0). But not only because of this, it rushes forward like a stung one - the first response to the gas pedal, typical for Hyundai, is unnecessarily harsh.

And this interferes in traffic jams or when trying to fit into a tight parking space - no matter how you don’t end up in a neighbor’s bumper! Otherwise, there are no complaints about the power unit, although the box is trying with all its might to stay at the higher levels and when overtaking or accelerating, you have to press the pedal to the kickdown. The most surprising thing is that fuel consumption in urban conditions for crossovers turned out to be the same: 11.5-11.7 l / 100 km. But if Kaptur needs to be filled with “95th” gasoline, then Creta is certified for the use of 92nd.

In general, the Hyundai Creta is good on city streets - it has much better visibility, especially forward, a light steering wheel that women will definitely like, and it is not afraid of turns. With Renault, the opposite is true - bumps from bumps in the arc are transmitted to the “tight” steering wheel, and KamAZ can hide behind thick front pillars.

But the more difficult the conditions, the better for Capture! On the days of the test, the road was covered with snow, but even on standard all-season Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires, the car is easy to feel (thanks to the hydraulic booster!) And clings to the surface well. And just a little - ESP will delicately enter into the matter. Very transparent behavior! But the main thing — it's a fantastic ride on bad roads. Pits, potholes, primer - all for nothing!

Hyundai feels more shaky and fussy, and the one who thought of changing the Creta into Sava Eskimo Ice spikes should be deprived of the award - and the point is not only that the spikes in it seem to be just for decoration, but they also buzz unpleasantly , which only emphasizes the poor sound insulation of the wheel arches.

Journalistic tests are full of carefully concealed bewilderment: how does Creta bribe buyers, sorry for the tautology? After all, there is not a single parameter by which this car can be called the best. Like it or not, Creta is a typical middle peasant, strong, but middle peasant! But buyers didn’t give a damn about the fact that the Korean crossover is not the leader of the SUV-B segment, neither in terms of dynamism, nor in handling, nor in cross-country ability, or even in affordability. Nevertheless, today, virtually the entire output of the plant in St. Petersburg has been bought out 4 months in advance!

So what is the secret of this model's attractiveness? Actually, there is no secret.

Everything for the client

Hyundai does not hide the fact that they consider the main advantage of Creta to be a carefully selected balance of qualities, as well as a large number of options. It is no coincidence that such importance is attached to the fact that now the version with a 1.6-liter engine (paired with both manual and automatic transmissions) can now be equipped with an all-wheel drive system, which previously relied only on cars with a two-liter engine and a six-speed "automatic" . Why is it so important? Judge for yourself.

The main competitors of Creta can safely be considered Renault Duster and Kaptur. Both models are available with 1.6 and 2.0 liter petrol engines, while the Duster range also has a 1.5 liter turbodiesel. At the same time, the combination of all-wheel drive and automatic transmission is available only for the most powerful (and therefore the most expensive) versions with a two-liter engine, and for Kaptur with a 1.6-liter engine, all-wheel drive is not provided at all. Roughly the same can be said about Nissan Quashquai and Skoda Yeti: four-wheel drive and automatic transmission (whether CVT or robot) are possible only in combination with the most powerful engines in the line.

In general, if you want to save money, be content with 4x2 versions .... But we live in Russia. We have winter, you know.

All-wheel drive models are traditionally popular among Russian customers, and we are sure that by offering new modifications of Creta, we make this model even more attractive. Moreover, according to our forecasts, the share of all-wheel drive trim levels of the Creta model will exceed 50%

Alexey Kalitsev

Executive Director of Hyundai Motor CIS

The Creta 1.6 4WD version is expected to account for about 20% of the total sales of the Hyundai brand! But maybe Hyundai specialists are mistaken? Maybe the naturally aspirated 1.6-liter quad is not the right company for all-wheel drive and automatic transmission? Maybe such a motor does not have enough power, or, more importantly, traction, and it will not be able to provide any acceptable dynamics, not to mention any confident movement through all sorts of gullies? In general, I went to the Hyundai Creta 1.6 4WD test with both interest and certain concerns.

New old friend

Curb weight

Well, now a little about appearance. The car has already become familiar, and nothing new can be said about the appearance of the new version. Creta as Creta ... Sharp, playful outlines with sharp edges, a window sill line rising upwards, converging at an angle with a strongly inclined forward C-pillar, a brutal radiator grille that gives the car a certain aggressiveness. The fact that this instance is equipped with an all-wheel drive system is indicated by a small nameplate on the back door, but there is no external hint of engine size. Accordingly, it is also impossible to determine how much the owner paid for his car, 1,199,900 blood rubles, or 60 thousand less.

The interior of Creta is also described many times, including . I see no reason to repeat myself. Let me just say that once again I was glad of its thoughtfulness and the absence of ergonomic blunders. That is, I would, of course, prefer that the driver's seat cushion be a little longer, but this is already a wish from the series "the best is the enemy of the good." And still, I would still supply the mirror adjustment joystick with some kind of backlight, especially since the 12-volt sockets, the AUX jack, and the USB slot have such a backlight. True, many do not like its poisonous blue color ... But at night, nothing prevents you from putting your phone on charge or turning on music from a flash drive.

Little doesn't mean bad

Average fuel consumption per 100 km

7.5 liters

I must say that in the urban crowd, a smaller engine capacity is not felt at all. Actually, the two-liter version is not too suitable for jumping, jerking and other sports exercises, and the participants in the competition “who is faster in a traffic jam” absolutely do not care what the car has with dynamics, especially since the lower gears of the 6-speed the A6MF2 automaton is quite short, and the crossover starts quite briskly from a place. The main thing is not to expect that the increase in speed will continue at the same pace. And even at city speeds, you notice that for any, even insignificant, acceleration, the box must be switched down. What to do, 148 Nm is not much at all, and the motor develops even such traction only after spinning up to almost 5,000 revolutions. There is a lack of traction even when the car breaks out of the city into the operational space.

So you accelerated to 80, and for some time you drive at this speed. Naturally, the automatic transmission at the same time switches to the highest, sixth gear. But as soon as you touch the gas pedal, the box immediately switches to fifth. The most interesting thing is that the speedometer needle does not even move at the same time ...

And yet, in general, the impression of the track capabilities of the new version remained quite favorable: yes, this car will not be a prize trotter, and 13.1 seconds to “hundreds” is not God knows what, but, contrary to my fears, overtaking trucks was not required in mandatory order to switch to manual mode.

Well, what will happen if you have to move off the asphalt? The test drive track really included a section of light off-road, with obstacles quite typical for our conditions: bumps, ditches, ruts, pits, descents and ascents.

It is clear that in these conditions the lack of torque turned out to be even more significant: for example, you overcome a certain groove. In order for the car not to stop in the most inappropriate place, the engine has to be turned, which means that the chances of digging increase dramatically. If the automatic transmission operates in Drive mode (which means it perceives slip as an increase in real speed and a signal to shift to a higher gear), and the rear axle is connected automatically, after the start of slip, then the probability of getting stuck is very high. How to deal with all this is known to everyone who has dealt with such a glorious car as the Niva. Actually, both she and the closely related Chevrolet Niva also lack high-torque power. Of course, these cars have a reduction gear in the transmission, and it is often not enough for “pull-in” movement. In a word, any nivovod will tell you that serious obstacles must be taken on the move. This principle is quite suitable for the Korean crossover.

At the same time, I strongly recommend that you switch the box to manual mode, select first or second gear, and block the center clutch. And it's better to do all this as soon as you leave the road with a fairly hard surface. Then, in principle, you can quite easily, for example, go down from the terrace above the floodplain directly to the fishing spot (by turning on the downhill mode), and more importantly, drive off the coast onto a hard road: the car is quite capable of overcoming the climb, which is absolutely inaccessible to the front-wheel drive option. Well, one more note: do not forget that the ground clearance is only 190 mm, so the trajectory of movement must be chosen very carefully, and how to avoid falling into deep ruts.

And yet, the thought does not let me go: oh, a diesel engine would be for this crossover! And the company has such motors! For example, 1.6-liter D4FB. Is it bad, 127 hp and 255 NM of torque, which the engine produces already at 1900 rpm. With such a power plant and on asphalt, the car would follow the pedal much more obediently, and on impassable roads it would confidently climb at minimum speed. Alas, the audience of the budget segment in Russia still treats diesel engines with great distrust, and such cars cost a little more, both in terms of the price tag in salons and in maintenance.

Hyundai Creta complete with is a fairly popular car in the domestic market. Unlike the simpler front-wheel drive version, the 4WD version has good off-road performance and stability on slippery roads.

A full test drive of Creta 1.6 is carried out taking into account domestic operating conditions, which guarantees the high accuracy of all crossover data. It is worth noting that the basic modification is 1.6 4WD. Therefore, the car has a high demand among domestic motorists.

Most Hyundai Creta is purchased in the Moscow region. The active increase in the number of sales has made this car one of the most popular crossovers in the domestic market. Low cost attracts customers who want to get a budget all-wheel drive. At the moment, you will have to pay 970,000 rubles for the Active package.

Test drive of a popular crossover

The main Hyundai Creta for version 1.6 4WD has not changed. With standard firmware, the car is capable of developing the declared passport 121 l / s against 123 l / s with front-wheel drive.

The maximum possible torque in this case is 148 N * m, which is 3 units less than that of a monodrive. Also a distinctive feature of the Hyundai Creta with 4WD is a slight increase in fuel consumption.

According to the passport, the car has a movement of about 9.6 liters. However, in practice, based on the average data obtained during daily operation, the figures are 0.3 higher and amount to 9.9 liters.

Applies to both automatic and manual transmissions. The advent of all-wheel drive had a negative impact on the overall dynamics of acceleration to 100. Now the car is much slower and accelerates in 12.9-13 seconds.

The drop in overall performance is not surprising. After all, the presence of an additional drive axle contributes to an increase in the mass of the crossover. The Hyundai Creta 4WD version is 70 kg heavier than the monodrive. However, such indicators do not frighten domestic motorists.

Test Hyundai Creta in light off-road mode

During a test drive, many buyers pay attention to the general scheme for implementing all-wheel drive on a car. The design of hinged nodes is actually completely identical to older models.

At the same time, some engineering solutions were borrowed from competitors Santa Fe and Tucson. Technically, the suspension and 4WD components are similar to the 2 liter version.

A light off-road test of the car demonstrated all the capabilities of the crossover. The car easily breaks away even on slippery and watery surfaces.

Thanks to wide tires, a balanced weight distribution along the axles and all-wheel drive, the crossover has good flotation in light dirt. Initially, simple conditions of rough terrain were selected for the test.

After all, structurally Hyundai Creta is not a full-fledged SUV. Therefore, in order to avoid unnecessary problems with a new car, it is not recommended to drive the crossover into a deep swamp. Creta easily climbs a steep slope. At the same time, there is no special effort for the engine. Versions with both manual and automatic transmission have similar indicators.

Hyundai Creta has enough when driving in a rut. Despite the fact that the steering wheel does not particularly pull out, the crossover becomes excessively sensitive to the road surface. However, due to the steering rack, driving on dirt or gravel at high speed is highly discouraged. After all, any strong vibrations contribute to a faster breakdown of the mechanism.

When operating a Hyundai Creta off-road with an automatic, it is best to switch it to manual control mode. Thus, you can fully control the engine speed and, accordingly, the torque on the wheels.

Thanks to the support of manual mode on the automatic transmission, the Hyundai Creta crossover is able to easily overcome any slopes or long climbs. In this regard, the additional ESP, ABS and DAC systems help the car owner. However, if necessary, all of the listed functions can be disabled.

Lockable clutch as standard

One of the key features of the Hyundai Creta crossover is the presence of a lockable clutch. The lock works in conjunction with the electric drive and allows you to increase the overall potential of the car on off-road in difficult conditions.

However, in practice, locking the clutch does not help much to get out of mud or deep snow. In a rut, this function is actually completely meaningless.

Blocking is felt only under slight loads. In difficult conditions, the use of blocking will not bring much result. After all, the system is tuned to increase the durability of the car transmission. Therefore, all efforts are evenly distributed over the wheels. In general, the 1.6 motor is enough in any rev range.

Operation Hyundai Creta in the city

On asphalt pavement, Hyundai Creta demonstrates quite good driving performance. Thanks to the base of 2590 mm, the machine has excellent smoothness. The suspension copes with any joints and road bumps. At the same time, softness and directional stability are felt in the cabin.

Soundproofing deserves great attention. Inside, you can hardly hear anything even if you spin the engine up to 3500-4500 rpm. The noise from the wheels is noticeably less than in previous versions.

In a city with a 1.6 engine, the most optimal box is mechanics. With an automatic, the car is sometimes very thoughtful and takes time to shift. However, if you need dynamic overtaking, you can always put the gearbox selector in manual mode.

What are the prospects for the Hyundai Creta 1.6 4WD?

The version of the Hyundai Creta crossover with a 1.6 engine and all-wheel drive is quite successfully implemented in the domestic market. After all, a popular car received 4WD at a relatively minimal change in cost.

Thanks to this modification, it makes no sense for motorists to pay for a base in a monodrive. The 1.6 with 4WD is the more attractive option as it is in the same price range as the 2WD versions. Therefore, in the future, experts predict an increase in demand for a complete set with all-wheel drive.

General advantages of a car with a 1.6 engine with 4WD:

  1. Good permeability.
  2. Comfort of operation.
  3. More off-road capability.
  4. The presence of a clutch lock.
  5. Road stability.

Cons of a model with an internal combustion engine 1.6 and all-wheel drive:

  1. Increased fuel consumption.
  2. Increase in maintenance cost.
  3. Decreased dynamics.
  4. Thoughtful machine.

Listed Hyundai Creta in modification 1.6 with all-wheel drive do not frighten the owners. Therefore, in the domestic market there is a trend of growing demand for the implementation of this crossover. Indeed, for 970 thousand rubles it is almost impossible to buy a car with 4WD and the presence of a lock.

Overall rating of a car with 4WD

Based on the information obtained during the test drive, a Hyundai Creta car with an internal combustion engine of 1.6 can be assessed as a good, family-friendly car that can be used in light off-road conditions, as well as for frequent trips to nature or to the country.

Version 1.6 is more suitable for the class of budget cars. The car is adapted for those who do not want to buy an older modification and pay more than 1 million rubles for a 2.0 base.
