What's in the cabin? Oddly enough (or strange?), But the new "Disco" in its residential part strongly resembles the younger "Sport" - and almost did not retain the features familiar from the previous generation. It has definitely become more convenient: the designers have provided a lot of niches and cavities, some of which may not be visible. For example, on the center console, a deep niche was hidden behind the “climate” setting (similar to Cadillac cars and Chevrolet, but without an electric drive), and the central tunnel has its own box (to the right of the transmission selectors and the Terrain Response brand) - with the ability to place a solid package of documents ... or a pack of 10-inch tablets. Next, the engines underwent modifications: the Discovery of a new generation in the range of power units appeared diesel "turbo-fours" of the Ingenium family with a capacity of 180 and 220 forces from 2 liters of working volume. True, on Russian market these modifications are unlikely to be introduced.

In Russia, the new Discovery will be presented exclusively with 3-liter V6: diesel Td6 (249 hp, 600 Nm) and gasoline Si6 (340 hp, 450 Nm). At first, we can only choose from these two engines, and I advise diesel. Its limiting capabilities are more modest, but the declared 8.1 s to hundreds are sufficient for confident overtaking.

The family features of the brand can be traced in almost all elements, just look at the front or rear optics. Family ties with and, as they say, are obvious.

To move away from standard solutions in the exterior, additional design lines will help. With the Black Design package, black will be added, and with the Dynamic Design package, the bumpers, radiator grille, rear-view mirrors will get a different design, the roof will receive a contrasting color. However, the basic palette of body enamels, including as many as 17 shades, and a set rims with 12 pattern options already provide a wide range of variability.

In the interior of the new Land Rover, everything is designed in a simple and understandable way, which does not go against the idea of ​​​​premium. The center console, which has clear boundaries, has been relieved of a fair amount of buttons, the functionality of which is now implemented through the InControl Touch Pro multimedia complex with a 10-inch color display. Integration with any smartphones, Bluetooth, 3G with Wi-Fi access points, navigation, a lot of applications - all these features are implemented in the infotainment system. InControl Remote technologies are also supported - remote control on-board functions (climate control, folding seats), InControl Secure - tracking a stolen car, InControl Protect - notification when a emergency situations(breakdown, accident). In addition to the main screen, part of the data is transmitted to the 5-inch dashboard display, located between two classic analog dials.
