Nissan Teana II J32 with mileage: good engines and a defenseless variator. Four-wheel drive Nissan Teana Four Nissan teana four-wheel drive weaknesses

we found out that there are no critically weak points in the body, interior and chassis of second Teana no - if you monitor the condition of the paintwork, have enough money to repair the suspension and do not smoke in the cabin, it will remain a very comfortable, quiet and reliable car. Today we will look under the virtual hoods to see if the engine or CVT will be a reason to refuse to buy. And, a little looking ahead, let's reassure: in some cases - it will.

Transmission

About the main number of complaints about Teana II generation is related to the transmissions used. It so happened that the general course of the party in Renault-Nissan turned towards the use of CVTs. So, unlike the four-speed automatic transmissions on the previous model, when changing generations, the choice was made in favor of continuously variable transmissions.

Before restyling with 2.0 and 2.5 engines, a very common Jatco JF011E was installed. This is practically a hit in the world of continuously variable automatic transmissions, but on Teana it works mainly with 2.5 engines, which does not have the best effect on the resource. After restyling in 2011, a more advanced Jatco JF016E box took its place. It is in many ways similar to its predecessor, but it provides fewer hydraulic problems during the warranty run of 100-150 thousand kilometers, but it has problems with the torque converter resource: according to the latest fashion, it has appeared " partial blocking”, and hence increased wear in such modes. Well, Jatco JF010E still worked with 3.5 engines, because it was the only transmission that could withstand their moment. Very rare cars with a two-liter engine for Asian markets were also equipped with the “classic” RE4F04A automatic transmission, but in total mass they are almost lost. In addition, after restyling, the “four-step” was also changed to CVT.

The cars are mostly front-wheel drive, and there are no special difficulties with their transmissions. For all-wheel drive vehicles, the clutch of the drive clutch is added to the number of nodes with a limited resource rear wheels, which can be burned with frequent races on ice or “races” in the summer - but here the variator is more likely to fail than the clutch. And the clutch itself costs from 50 thousand rubles new and even less used.

All Jatco CVTs of this generation are based on the push-pull belt design and feature highly mature designs. With careful operation and timely replacement of oil and filters, they are extremely reliable transmissions that can travel more than 150-200 thousand kilometers even without minor failures, moreover, breakdowns usually manifest themselves long before complete failure. And the efficiency of cars with such boxes is very high.

But such transmissions really do not like many operating modes that undermine their resource. First of all, the “cold” load: on an unheated variator, a slightly increased load leads to slippage and damage to the belt and cones.

Nissan Teana II J32 with mileage: body difficulties and reliable, but expensive suspension

I wrote about the first generation Nissan Teana quite recently - and now it's time to talk about the car in the back of the J32, which replaced the first Teana in 2008. Despite retaining the style and many features, this is a completely new...

Overheating is no less detrimental, especially with a constantly changing load. For the variator, extreme gear ratios are harmful, a long movement of tension on low speed– for example, when towing or in deep mud – as well as long runs at high speed. Still very painful are any jerks and shock loads associated with torsional vibrations. Even driving under the traction of rails and serious bumps harms the belt and cones, not to mention off-road traffic, slippage, overcoming bumps “from a standstill” and other loads of this kind.

As a result, the average resource of the variator at Russian exploitation two times more modest than in the US or Japan, and there are fewer opportunities for recovery. Although average repair usually not too expensive: if you do not tighten it with a belt change, then everything will be limited to replacing filters, some solenoids and, in fact, the belt. But if the oil was dirty, and the loads were large, and the belt and cones were badly worn out, then almost certainly the repair would be extremely expensive, and given the prices for spare parts with us, it would be completely unprofitable.

Well, in addition to all of the above, the structures have individual "weak points", as without them. As a result, buying a Teana always requires a thorough check of the condition of the transmission, and during operation, you need to constantly remember the features of the CVT, otherwise the chances of a repair increase significantly.

Especially many difficulties arise with the Jatco JF010E, which was installed with 3.5 engines. He is, of course, much stronger than his younger brothers, but nevertheless, a burnt belt, crumbs in oil and torn filters on such machines - rather a rule than an exception. Most of the owners do not deny themselves the pleasure of "click on the slipper", once again"punish" someone on the road and ride at speeds over 150 on the highway. With runs over 150 thousand, a preventive replacement of the belt is most likely necessary: its frictional notches wear out, and it begins to transmit torque worse, and the slippage that occurs can damage the cones, after which the cost of repair will increase many times over.

With a 3.5 engine, warming up on the spot is a necessary measure; without it, driving along snowy streets kills the variator very quickly. And certainly no starts without warming up at all, especially since the moment of such a motor easily causes slippage on slippery surfaces. After a hundred thousand miles, it is recommended to check and repair / replace the main pressure valve, otherwise pressure surges can damage the belt.

Oil change in automatic transmission: why, when and in what cases is it too late

oil in any automatic box transmission performs many functions at once. It works as a lubricant for bearings, removes heat from heating parts, serves as a working fluid for the torque converter and for ...

110220 6 134 30.06.2016

At long-term operation on contaminated oil also suffer oil pump, and valve body plungers. If the oil has not been changed for a long time, then after 100 thousand, most likely, it will be necessary to check the working pressure and completely rebuild the valve body. With a run of 150-200 thousand, the step pump usually also needs to be replaced, and when working on dirty oil, it can fail much earlier.

Jatco JF011E box is working in more comfortable conditions, especially in the case of two-liter engines. Its successor Jatco JF016E is in many ways similar to it, except that the belt in it is better protected from overloads and can, in theory, withstand a little more mileage, and the torque converter lock-up pads wear out faster, since they are loaded during fast accelerations, as in "classic" automatic transmissions recent generations. But in general, everything said is true for her.

With careful maintenance, you can count on a mileage of 250 thousand before replacing the belt, even in our conditions. Unless the oil needs to be changed often, at least once every 50-60 thousand kilometers.

The main breakdowns during operation are associated with oil contamination and wear of the oil pump, pressure regulator and valve body, as well as bearing wear. On early revisions of boxes, problems with rotated bearings are possible output shaft, the regular resource of bearings is about 160-200 thousand. If noises and vibrations appear, it is worth replacing them until the cones and belt are damaged. For runs over 150 thousand, it is recommended to replace the filter, replace the four valve body solenoids and clean the pressure relief valve. The step motor also does not like dirty oil very much and easily breaks down if its replacement is exceeded.

The old RE4F04A four-speed automatic transmission is rare, and the problems with it are basically the same as on. The main ones are impacts when shifting 1-2 gears and the disappearance of the reverse. The total resource is over 200 thousand, but the box is simple and cheap to repair, and after repair it will go through many more times for as many times.

Motors

The main engines for Teana were V6 for 2.5 and 3.5 liters of the VQ25DE and VQ35DE series, and all-wheel drive vehicles put inline "four" QR25DE 2.5 liters. Export cars from Japan may have a 2.0 QR20DE engine under the hood. All engines are quite reliable, especially V6 engines, which are deservedly considered one of the best engines decades. Some difficulties are mainly related to failures attachments and the weakness of the cooling system for 3.5-liter engines. In addition, CVTs are very gentle on engines - this must also be taken into account.

So runs of 250-350 thousand kilometers without a “capital” are not uncommon, but half a million is quite a working mileage with quality service.

In general, VQ25DE and VQ35DE are excellent engines: of course, in our conditions their resource is less than they can depart in the USA or Japan, but still impressive. Of the main difficulties - poor winter start-up and problems with the resource of catalysts, which are largely related to each other. When catalysts fail, the resource of the piston group is sharply reduced due to the ingress of ceramic chips into the cylinders.

If you don’t know how, don’t pour: how to change engine oil correctly

They will immediately spit on you, ostracize you, curse you and write you a referral to a psychiatrist. Now claim the opposite: I never fill the filter with oil when changing. They will do the same to you, only...

398131 52 65 12.02.2016

The oil pump is still rather weak: it really does not like dirty oil and long replacement intervals, so you should not try to exceed the interval of 10 thousand from replacement to replacement in urban traffic, and in combined cycle- 15 thousand if you count on long operation. Otherwise, after 120-150 thousand mileage, the oil pressure will drop to a minimum. Candles also need to be changed quite often. The motor is equipped with expensive iridium ones, but in practice it is useless, it is better to change simpler ones more often. Although the replacement operation is not too easy, it guarantees normal engine power and increases the life of the catalysts.

On motors 3.5 there is also a problem with vibrations: the motor mounts will have to be changed very often, about once every 40-50 thousand, if you need comfort in the cabin. With the 2.5 engine, the problem is not so acute - the resource of these elements is much higher, and they may not bother up to runs of 150-200 thousand.

But oil waste due to a rather “dense” crankcase ventilation system or its pollution is a typical defect, so it is required regular check and cleaning. If the motor “presses” oil on running cars, then the point is either the wear of the piston group, or the banal clogging of the ventilation system, which is much more likely.

Timing chain VQ25DE

Original cost

4 931 rubles

As befits an excellent motor, there are no more specific problems. Once every 150-200 thousand, you need to change the chains and dampers and adjust the valves at least once every hundred thousand - and he will walk and walk. The main thing is not to overheat and change the oil regularly: that, in fact, is all.

The in-line “four” QR25DE is far from being so trouble-free and reliable, and in operation, despite more simple design, will be more expensive. And the point is not only in the resource of the piston group, which is expectedly lower, of the order of 200-250 thousand before the first intervention, but also in the fact that the resource of the chains, phase shifter and oil pump can be in the region of 100-150 thousand, and the replacement will not be cheap. In addition, the piston group long runs prone to coking, and the engine begins to eat up oil.

Pictured: Nissan Teana (J32) ‘2008–11

Often, by 120-150 thousand mileage, the motor is already sent for an easy overhaul due to stuck rings and timing wear, but this usually happens during hard plug operation - usually the resource is still higher. Of course, in general, everything is not too bad: parts are inexpensive, sleeves can be changed if there is wear, and most of the problems with vibrations and uneven speeds are treated by flushing and cleaning the throttle and intake.

This scary variator– myths and truth about stepless gearboxes

History is often unfair to the CVT. Either this is a promising transmission, or a symbol of a cheap and unsuccessful automatic transmission... After the release of the first DAF 600 cars with a CVT and attempts ...

The two-liter QR20DE engine differs from it in a large piston resource. But you shouldn’t count on a miracle - it definitely won’t pass more than three hundred thousand, but most likely, everything will end with an oil burner with runs of about 150-200 thousand. Well, the problems are the same: not a very high timing resource, vibrations, oil leaks and sensitivity to overheating.

Summary

If it were not for the variators and our national characteristics driving, exacerbated by winter, Teana could win the competition with the age-old rival. After all, her main motors are even more reliable, the equipment is richer, and the design, albeit strange, is present. In addition, the all-wheel drive version is the best suited for our winter: an SUV from a long sedan will not work, but the owner has much less trouble. But everything is decided by the nuances.

Here the paintwork is worse - this is especially noticeable in cars before restyling. It’s realistic to find corrosion on a completely fresh and not broken car, and in the future no one is insured: you can make “ceramics” and spill it with anticorrosive agents - and still get corrosion on the doors and trunk lid at the age of six or seven, which is insulting and annoying.

The transmission resource is always a lottery when buying, and with a 3.5 engine, the chances of winning are sharply reduced. Moreover, in the process you will have to get used to the fact that you need to handle the unit carefully. Of course, the competitor has enough shortcomings - the same corrosion resistance is also not perfect, but the image works for Toyota, not for Nissan, and a small difference in actual corrosion resistance ultimately turns out to be a significant factor in pricing in the secondary market.

Fortunately, the price drops in proportion to the imaginary and not so shortcomings, so as an object for buying the Teana J32, most likely, it is extremely profitable. In this class, it has few competitors, and even fewer who can compare with it in terms of overall cost of operation, especially when you consider the price of insurance and maintenance. As for the choice, the 3.5-liter engine, as usual, is not recommended: the engine itself is excellent, but it will be difficult with the box. But the 2.5-liter V6 - great choice: and boxes with it live long enough, and there is enough traction. In addition, the motor is very combative.

It’s more difficult with in-line “fours”: 2.0 with a “four-stage” seems to be a relatively good and cheap option to repair, but the resource is worse than that of V-exemplars, and fuel consumption is greater than that of a 2.5-liter V6. But the 2.5 engine is only coupled with all-wheel drive, and it all depends on what you want more - a combat engine or cross-country ability and traction in winter. In any case, frankly problematic engines Teana does not, and the in-line “fours” look bad only against the background of more successful motors V6.

Sales of all-wheel drive Nissan Teana started in early summer Russian assembly. Good start! Indeed, perhaps no other manufacturer today can offer such a well-equipped and comfortable car for this price. Yes, and with the potential of a real SUV ...

The new Teana was presented right at the Nissan plant in Kamenka, in an official setting. Several cars were waiting for journalists at once - new, sparkling, refueled to a full tank. Yes, and the route was chosen optimally - along the Karelian Isthmus. Here you have the winding serpentines of the Priozersky highway, and minor roads, and the high-speed track Scandinavia, and the pretentious Primorskoe highway.

Yes, and the weather - as to order: all the way the sun peeped out, then there was a formidable June downpour. The most important thing is to understand what the car is capable of.

And now about everything in order.

The current, second generation Nissan Teana appeared in Russia about two years ago. By that time, this sedan was already actively sold in South Korea under the name Samsung SM5. The machine was based on the platform on which the american models Altima, Maxima and Murano, with upgraded multi-link suspension. From the very beginning, two V-shaped “sixes” were offered as power units for Teana, with a volume of 2.5 and 3.5 liters, both exclusively paired with CVT variators.

The first batch of Tean for our market was from Japan and was equipped only with front-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive cars in the Land of the Rising Sun were sold in the first generation. However, Nissan saved this joker for Russia.

And now it's time to take it out!

According to the Japanese, it was Russia that became the first for all-wheel drive Tean foreign market. Well, you should not be surprised - in our country, business sedans with all-wheel drive are popular like nowhere else - thanks to the harsh climate and the lack of normal roads.

What's new?

However, under the sign " four-wheel drive Everyone has completely different solutions. For some, this is an honest symmetrical 4x4, like Subaru, while others have an active differential that, at the right time, electronically connects the “rear”, like on Audi. What solution did the Teana developers choose?

The All Mode 4x4 all-wheel drive transmission with a multi-plate clutch in the rear wheel drive is one-on-one with the X-Trail and Murano crossovers and differs only in the control program.

Another thing is interesting - on the shield to the left of the steering wheel there is a “Lock” button that activates the clutch lock mode. In other words, when driving in particularly difficult conditions, at speeds up to 30 km / h, the distribution of torque along the axes occurs rigidly, in a ratio of 57:43. Well, as the speed increases, this mode will turn off automatically. It would seem that the option is more than ordinary - for a crossover. How many have you met cars with such an off-road arsenal? ..

Another bonus of Teana, which migrated from front-wheel drive versions, is a virtual downshift(let's just say, although we are talking about a variator), giving a greater effect tractive effort to overcome difficult sections of the road. A great help for a driver in the harsh realities of our country, isn't it? A special Russian adaptation will also help to adapt to our roads and climate: galvanizing the body, anti-corrosion treatment, and chain drive gas distribution mechanism.

By the way, if only V-shaped “sixes” are installed on ordinary Teanas, then the all-wheel drive is equipped with a more compact in-line “four” with a volume of 2.5 liters (167 hp, 240 Nm) from crossover X-Trail. Compared to the V6 2.5 engine, this engine is 15 hp. weaker, but it boasts a large torque (240 Nm at 4000 rpm versus 228 Nm at 4400 rpm).

As for the Xtronic CVT V-belt variator, it remained unchanged.

Speaking about the improvements of the all-wheel drive version, it is worth noting the ground clearance increased by 15 mm (150 mm against the previous 135 mm). However, this innovation should not be linked only with the advent of all-wheel drive - from now on, all Teans with Russian residence permit, produced at the plant in Kamenka, will be slightly higher. Engineers took into account customer complaints about modest ground clearance old sedans.

Test and drive...

On dry pavement, on which we had a chance to experience new car, of course, it is impossible to notice the difference in the behavior of the front and all-wheel drive versions. But here's what is remarkable - two years ago, when the Nissan Teana II just went on sale, we tested a car with a 2.5-liter engine. The elastic "six" briskly led by the bridle is by no means a miniature sedan. What was our surprise when it turned out that the heavier Nissan Teana 4WD with an in-line four-cylinder engine provides dynamics quite comparable to that of the previous Teana with a six-cylinder 2.5-liter engine! Acceleration to “hundreds” of an all-wheel drive car takes only 0.2 less ...

Although, if you think about it, it is quite natural! inline engine not only "faster", but also easier. And besides, it is even cheaper to operate and is able to run on 92-m gasoline ...

Otherwise, it's still the same well-established Teana. In terms of equipment, this car is truly a business class. A roof with a panoramic view, rear view camera, multifunction steering wheel, Russian-language navigation, located on back seat radio control panel (which was so lacking before!), electric shutter, original design "smart key", climate for rear passengers(although not separate), two-level seat heating with memory for two positions and their ventilation (very convenient!), Bose audio system, Ottoman footrest, which has become a hallmark Teana models… And, of course, space and again space.

Two typical car- it's silver with a black interior and black with a light one. Which one is better for you is purely a matter of taste. True, in a light version, the interior looks rich. Generally speaking, it is light skin that is a winning option for Japanese cars, it perfectly masks imperfections. But Teana leaves a feeling of quality.

Although the car is too focused on comfort to expect revelations from it in terms of drive and handling, Teana rides on a solid “good” - there is no trace of buildup after 110, like on the Camry, but you can’t call the assembled suspension either - after 140 the steering wheel is barely noticeable begins to lack information.

Noise isolation - if not perfect, then certainly of high quality. I don’t know how anyone, but I really like the sound of the variator at maximum speed - rolling, interior, it comes to life on high-speed maneuvers and does not annoy in city traffic, with a quiet measured ride. But aerodynamic noise is much less than that of the main competitor Toyota Camry, - you can be convinced of this by being one on one with a car on the Ring Road. You feel comfortable in the back - there is practically no noise (the hum of the variator remains somewhere in the front of the cabin), and the shaking is minimal - the engineers really did an excellent job on the suspension settings. Others will notice that, by increasing the clearance, the designers were forced to “clamp” the shock absorbers a little, as a result of which the car became a little stiffer.

But this did not change the overall picture in any way - Teana is still the same comfortable liner as before.

Prices and competitors

Well, how much will you have to pay to own this car? Today, the price of an all-wheel drive version of a car ranges from 1,075,000 to 1,243,000 rubles. Is it possible to find another four-wheel drive business sedan at this price? Incidentally, even the most affordable car will be equipped with a stabilization system, leather interior and electric front seats. Somehow I can’t turn my tongue to call such a complete set basic ...

If you do not take into account the sky-high expensive trinity Mercedes-Benz E class 4matic (from 2,500,000 rubles), BMW 528 ix (which is not even on sale yet) or Audi A6 2.8 FSI quattro (from 1,900,000 rubles), as well as the adjacent Lexus GS 350 AWD (from 1,904,000 rubles). ), only two models remain on the horizon. This Volkswagen Passat CC 3.6 V6 4Motion - a car with a huge engine and no less huge price (from 1,887,000 rubles) and its more affordable analogue Skoda Superb 3.6 4x4 (from 1,449,000 rubles).

Perhaps this is where the list ends - Teana does not have models comparable in class, price and equipment on the Russian market.

One “but” - it just so happened that St. Petersburg officials wrote the state order “right under” another popular Russian-assembled business sedan - Toyota Camry, devoid of front-wheel drive modifications in Russia (in Japan, Camry is also offered with all-wheel drive).

At the moment Camry surpasses Teana in sales three times. Do you think Teana will be able to close this gap with great price and do without the support of officials?

Representative nissan sedan Teana J32 4WD with Nissan X-Trail's All Mode 4×4 all-wheel drive system is the long-awaited logical continuation model range nissan for Russian market. Indeed, it was a sin not to use such a successful development of all-wheel drive and not to embody it in the sought-after second-generation Nissan Teana business sedan.

The appearance of the all-wheel drive Nissan Teana exactly copies the image of its front-wheel drive brother Nissan Teana J32. The body and design delights in the form of abundant decoration with chrome elements are characteristic of the J32 4WD in full. You can only find some differences at the rear: on the stern of the all-wheel drive version of the Teana there is a nameplate 250 XV Four. The body with beautiful front and rear lighting, classic smooth lines, a sloping roof and a sculpted stern looks easy, and in some places with an application for sportiness and elegance.

The external dimensions of the all-wheel drive Teana J32 4WD are: length - 4850, width - 1795 mm, height - 1495 mm (some dealers regulate 1515 mm), wheelbase - 2775 mm and ground clearance 150 mm (far from all-terrain). The car is supported on the ground by iron or alloy wheels with tires 205/65R16 or 215/55R17. No plastic bumper protection for you, wheel arches and doors made of unpainted plastic (many pseudo-all-wheel drive vehicles “suffer” off-road attributes).

Inside, the all-wheel drive Tiana pleases with a discreet design and noble finishing materials (leather, wood, textured plastics). There is nothing about crossover here. And only one button 4WD Lock gives out the presence all-wheel drive transmission. The rest of the interior completely repeats the front-wheel drive Nissan version Teana J32. A grippy steering wheel with a combined finish, beautiful informative Fine Vision instruments, wooden inserts on front dashboard, central tunnel, door cards. Front leather seats with heating and ventilation, can be equipped with electric front seats and electric footrest front passenger Ottoman seat. Passengers in the second row have access to no less comfort and plenty of legroom, only the close location of the tops of the passengers to the ceiling causes slight inconvenience. In the back row there will be two-stage heated seats, and ventilation, separate air duct deflectors and a climate and music control unit.
On board the Nissan Teana 4WD there is a separate dual-zone climate control, 7-inch color touch screen Touch Screen (option), it is possible to display GPS navigator maps, images from a rear view camera or simply watch videos from a DVD player on it. In the richly equipped versions of the Nissan Teana 4x4, there is a Bose 5.1 Digital Surround music system (11 speakers and HDD 9.3 GB). Teana J32 4WD trunk size - 488 liters.

For the Russian market, the all-wheel drive version is produced at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg and is offered in four trim levels: Elegance, Luzury, Luzury +, Premium.

Specifications Nissan Teana 4WD - with the advent of the second Nissan generations Teana Japanese engineers decided to abandon the use of four-cylinder engines in their business sedan. Therefore, in the case of the Nissan Tiana 4x4, the choice of the unit surprised many. IN engine compartment there is a four-cylinder engine QR25DE 2.5 (167 hp, known to motorists from the Nissan X-Trail), aggregated with an Xtronic-CVT stepless variator (lost the ability to select a gear). However, there is really nothing surprising in this fact, because the all-wheel drive transmission is also with the X-Trail. Japanese engineers did not "reinvent the wheel" and used ready-made components and assemblies. Front and rear suspension independent, disc brakes with ABC, EBD, Brake Assist, ESP, TCS, electro-hydraulic power steering with variable characteristics.
Full system nissan drive Teana 4WD has two modes: forced - activates the drive of all wheels, but working up to a speed of 10 km / h (really helps to drive a heavy section of the primer), and automatic - constantly driving the front wheels, and in case of slipping, the electronics instantly redistributes torque to the wheel with great grip. In real operating conditions, the Nissan Teana 4WD driver does not notice the moment the rear-wheel drive is connected, but he understands with his head that on a wet or slippery surface, when cornering, the All Mode 4 × 4 all-wheel drive system works out all the money spent on it. Otherwise, the all-wheel drive Nissan Tiana remains similar to its two-wheel drive brother, demonstrating a comfortable and energy-intensive suspension, moderately sharp steering, indifference to the running gear. bad roads, elegant sound and noise insulation of the cabin.
The all-wheel drive Nissan Teana J32 4WD with a 2.5 engine (167 hp) and an Xtronic CVT accelerates to Sony in 9.8 seconds, but the electronics will not allow it to accelerate faster than 180 km / h (cut-off will work). Average consumption fuel is 9.5 liters (manufacturer's data).

Price Nissan Teana 4WD(J32) in 2012 starts from 1,189,000 rubles (this is the basic Elegance package: a monochrome 7-inch display, climate control, leather interior), rich and packaged to the highest standard The price of the all-wheel drive Nissan Tiana 4WD Premium (Touch Screen, Bose 5.1 Digital Surround music with 11 speakers, bi-xenon, GPS navigator, passenger seat with Ottoman seat) from 1,339,000 rubles .

I have owned a Nissan Teana J32 for over 4 years. 2008, Japanese assembly, 2.5 six-cylinder V6 engine, 182 hp, mileage to date 169,753 km. Premium package.
Almost everything written in the article is not true.
I can’t say anything about the engine indicated in the article, because I don’t have a 4-cylinder 2.5, but a 6-cylinder.
The inclusion of heating and ventilation of the seats in the armrest is true. Uncomfortable. There is no steering wheel offset - also true. Rear view camera in the heaviest rain and mud in autumn after 250 km. clean, the resolution of the camera and display is excellent, the guides on the screen show the trajectory of movement. Clearance of 135 mm. really small, and I put spacers on by raising the car 30mm. The question is removed, the car rulitsya without differences from the stock state. My engine does not have a drop of oil when changing every 10,000 km. Candles freely serve 90,000 km. Replacement takes 1 - 1.5 hours at the service. Never had a problem with the thermostat. again, I'm talking about V6.
As for the variator: everyone is afraid of it, but in fact, no matter how you ask the service stations repairing them, it turns out that they are sitting without work. And this despite the fact that there have been a lot of cars on CVTs for a long time, and some have mileage of 300-450 thousand. There are only three mandatory rules with a CVT: you can’t arrange a hare start from traffic lights (the car will move up to 5-6 km / h - then you can press the gas pedal to the floor), change the oil every 30-40 thousand, you can not pull the tug. All. No more restrictions. When changing the oil at 120 thousand, I asked the master to remove the variator pan to see what condition it was in. They removed it and the master himself was surprised: there are no chips at all. According to him, even in mechanics there are chips due to gear friction. There is no sliding friction at all in the variator, so if you don’t tear from place each time there are no chips. In this, the author of the article was mistaken. The work of the variator is soft and trouble-free. But I repeat that I change the oil every 30-40 thousand, although the officials assure that you need to change it at least once every 60-90 thousand km.
Camber alignment requires no more adjustment than any other machine. In general, for the suspension, I can say that it is strong and stronger than its only suspension of Merce W210 and W124. What was changed by me for 169,753 km: left wheel bearing (63,000 km), front shock absorbers (110,000 km), rear shock absorbers (164,000) km, generator repair (93,000 km). This is all. Who's to say it's common? Who will say that on our roads the suspension is weak? The stabilizer struts begin to remind of themselves every 15-20 thousand - this is true. And on the W210 every 7 thousand. This is the weakest point of Merce. Well, nothing, buy reinforced stub racks once and you can forget about the problem for 70-80 thousand km.
I gave the steering rack for repair at 105,000 km. It cost 250 USD. The masters put some bushings from another alloy and said that I can forget about the steering rack up to 300 thousand mileage. Our roads are the murder of a car, so there are no complaints about cars here. there are claims against our state, tk. our roads do not correspond to any GOSTs.
Not a single drop of rust in 7 years. Not under bars, not under windows, not on doors. I remind you that I have a Teana of Japanese assembly. I know that many people complain about the Teanas of the Russian assembly. CVTs are noisy, chrome peels off, rust appears, etc. Well, who is to blame for people who know that in Russia they don’t know how to do anything qualitatively and at the same time they still buy Russian-made cars?! Well, who is to blame for these people that they are headless?
I can’t understand what problems with power windows are discussed in the article at all ... They work without problems. Naturally, in winter, when the ice has frozen to the glass, you cannot use the power windows, otherwise you can break the mechanism on any car. With the multimedia system and climate control, too, for 7 years, not a single problem ...
I can make the following result on the article: either the article is custom-made, or the review in the article is based on Russian-assembled cars.
Of the minuses of the Teana J32, I can only say that the standard ground clearance of 135 mm is really not enough for the CIS. The spacer solved the problem. As far as I know, Russian Teanas are raised from the factory to 150 mm.
Therefore, I recommend this car for purchase, of course only the Japanese assembly. And when buying this used car, be sure to open the variator pan at the service station and look for the presence of chips. She shouldn't be. If it's just a little, it's acceptable. if there are a lot of chips, you need to refuse such a purchase, because in a car, they either dragged someone by the tie, or annealed them like on a supercar.
P.S. When buying Teana, they warned me at the service about changing the oil in the variator every 60 thousand. Two years have passed and they call me from the service and tell me the “good” news: the Nissan corporation changes the oil change period and increases it to 90 thousand))) I arrive at 54 thousand .to change the oil, I ask why they increased it to 90 thousand. The masters laugh and answer that over the past 4 years, the share of repair of variators is 0.12% of the total number of cars sold. Nissan decided that it was necessary to make money on something and increased the oil change period so that the variacs would wear out more intensively. I was advised to change the oil every 30-40 thousand times and was told that I would not know 400 thousand problems. Therefore, I recommend this car without any doubt, because. not every machine goes 300-400 thousand ....

”, equipped with an all-wheel drive transmission, did not come as a surprise - it was expected for a long time. But the fact that, especially for the sake of all-wheel drive, the designers had to introduce motor range new engine, was a very interesting surprise.

RAISE the hood of the all-wheel drive "Teana" and immediately see: something is wrong here. Bah, right here four-cylinder engine! But, excuse me, because it is well known that the car is supplied to the market with two V-shaped "sixes" - two and a half and three liters. So with what fright, one wonders, was the in-line “four” here?

Yes, yes, that's it out of fright, you definitely noticed it, - laughs the engineer of the St. Petersburg plant "Nissan" authorized to communicate with the press, where "Teans" are assembled for the Russian market. - When developing the all-wheel drive version, the designers had very serious concerns that, due to the solid dimensions of the “six”, the elements of the all-wheel drive transmission would not fit here. Therefore, purely from layout considerations, we decided to install a compact in-line “four”. But don't let this scare you - I promise you, you will see that it is no worse, and in some ways even better than the “six” of the same volume ..

Well, the “four” is the “four” - you don’t have to choose, since this is the only power unit provided for the all-wheel drive version. With this engine, 167 hp is removed from 2.5 liters of volume. power and 240 Nm of torque. 15 “horses” less than the front-wheel drive “2.5V6”, but at the same time 12 Nm more, and, which is also important, the “four” reaches its maximum torque at lower revs. All this gives some traction advantages, at least until the engine is spinning to its fullest, when the “horses” begin to dominate Newton meters. At the same time, I note that an all-wheel drive car with a 2.5-liter “four” is noticeably inferior to a front-wheel drive car with a “six” in top speed- 180 km / h against two hundred - and slightly - only two tenths of a second - in acceleration to "hundreds".

But - all-wheel drive. In our road and climatic realities, a thing is always not superfluous. You can forgive a lot for him.

Incomplete harmony

The RING road around St. Petersburg was built recently (and, by the way, it has not yet been completely ringed), but they have already managed to travel around a lot. Rutting in some areas is just crazy. The matter is greatly aggravated by heavy rain - the ruts are filled with water to the brim, and even such elementary actions as changing lanes or a sharp increase in speed turn into a small problem. But not for us. We are now at full speed. Thanks to the Nissan people for letting us first ride in the front, and then immediately transplanted us to the full one - the contrast is obvious.

We leave the ring road for the region and, having made our way through the palisade of suburban traffic jams, we break out into the operational space. Now the road winds through the forests in a narrow strip, leading us towards the Karelian Isthmus. Lots of sharp turns. It cleared up. The road has dried up in places, but sometimes we fly into deep puddles with acceleration - it’s especially fun when it happens on a closed turn, when you don’t see a puddle in advance and don’t expect a dirty trick. A good test for all-wheel drive ..

In fact, the “All Mode 4x4” system used on the “Tean” is designed so that under normal conditions, the front wheels are predominantly pulled, and the rear ones are, as it were, in the “stand-by” mode. Wake-up electronics sensitively monitors changes in the situation and in right moments connects rear wheels, throwing on them exactly the share of thrust that is necessary in this moment V this place. If necessary, the center clutch can be blocked by pressing the corresponding button, and then the thrust will be distributed between the axles rigidly in half. For the driver, all these traction perturbations are imperceptible - I can evaluate the efficiency of the all-wheel drive transmission only “from the memory of sensations”. For example, a sharp acceleration here in this wet place, whether I front wheel drive, probably would not have done without the slippage of the front wheels, but, say, before that sharp turn it would be necessary to brake well so as not to get a drift of the front axle .. Of course, the behavioral difference between full and front-wheel drive is greatly smoothed out by a working exchange rate stability system. She knows her stuff too, and well. To feel the difference in full, the system can be turned off.

However, then it would no longer be “Teana”.
