For this special equipment, a swing type suspension is used. Its key feature is the presence of K-shaped carriages. This provides the following important benefits:
- clear control of the alignment of the track rollers and the caterpillar belt, which ensures an increase in the service life of the entire undercarriage;
- reduction of shock loads on the elements of the chassis;
- carriages swing on 2 axes. The vertical offset of the track is increased, which helps to reduce shock loads on the elements of the undercarriage and increase the durability of components;
- Operator comfort is improved by mitigating shock and vibration loads when traveling over difficult terrain.
The lubricated track rollers are resiliently mounted to the track unit by a series of uniquely designed cruciform bottom brackets whose oscillatory movements are damped by rubber pads.
The low position of the drive, which is traditional for the company's special equipment, and a long caterpillar belt with a large footprint, maintain consistently good stability and cross-country ability of the bulldozer. Shoe slippage is kept to a minimum and force on the ripper and blade is stable.
39 shoes are installed on each side of the bulldozer, with a base width of 610 mm. Rollers on each side of 7 pieces. Single grouser height is 88mm. The idler wheel will not wobble under loads, which ensures the balance of the machine.
Tracks have lubricated joints sealed with dust seals. They prevent foreign abrasive materials from getting into the gaps between the pin and the bushing, extending the life of the active tracks. Tensioning and adjusting tracks is easy with a grease gun.
The bearing area is 42,456 cm2. Specific pressure on the ground (bulldozer blade) - 118 kPa (1.20 kgf / cm2).
Hydraulic system
The capacity of the hydraulic system (dump) is 130 liters, (ripper) - 38 liters; maximum flow - 230 liters per minute. Hydraulic cylinders (2 pcs.) - piston, double-acting. The closed center system with load tracking is focused on providing accurate and fast control and efficient parallel operation.
All control spool valves are mounted externally next to the hydraulic tank. The plunger hydraulic pump is capable of delivering up to two hundred and thirty liters per minute, at a nominal engine speed of 2000 rpm.
The capacity of dozer blades Komatsu D275A-5 is 13.7 m3 (hemispherical), or 16.6 m3 (spherical). This guarantees consistently high performance of the special machine. The front plate and side cheeks of dozer blades are made of high-strength steels. By separate order, a double skew blade is supplied.
The maximum depth of the blade is 640 mm;
maximum lift - 1450 mm. 
The single-tooth ripper with variable ripping angle is mounted at a considerable distance from the axis of the drive wheel, and this simplifies the application and improves the efficiency of the ripper, while maintaining a powerful ripping force. The ripping angle of the single shank single shank ripper is adjustable. The lever mechanism is parallelogram. It is an ideal tool for loosening hard rocks and soils.
The multi-shank ripper has three shank and parallelogram hydraulic linkage.

Keeping in mind that creating a comfortable working environment for the operator ultimately increases productivity and positively affects safety, Komatsu equips the D275A-5 bulldozers with a low-noise cab design, or pressurized cab (this is already an additional option). In any variant, the cabin of the special vehicle has damping elements and large windows made of tinted glass, giving excellent visibility in all sectors. The damper springs isolate the cab from the supporting frame of the special vehicle, providing decent work comfort and smooth running of the tractor.
The D275A-5 bulldozer uses a new resilient seat. It provides excellent support for the back and arms, has the ability to move longitudinally. To improve visibility in the rear sector, when reversing, the operator has the ability to turn the chair to the right at an angle of up to 15 °. The shift and steering controls move with the seat for maximum operator comfort. The traffic control console can also be moved forward and backward and adjusted in height. The armrest height is separately adjustable so that the operator can operate the machine without changing the most comfortable position.
Komatsu has been creating and improving the Human-Machine Interface, an ergonomically sound control system, for many years now. The joystick of the special vehicle's electronic motion control system helps the operator to precisely control its maneuvers, while being in a fairly comfortable position and without making significant efforts.
