Maximum acceleration 100 km h. Machines for which it is better to put a dash in the "acceleration" column

Maximum acceleration 100 km h. Machines for which it is better to put a dash in the "acceleration" column

12.06.2019

For those who want to know which cars will definitely not amaze owners with fantastic acceleration dynamics, Life has compiled a list of the slowest cars that you can now buy on the Russian market. The main criterion for determining turtle cars was the acceleration time to 100 km / h from a standstill. However, you should not think that these cars are designed specifically to drive you to sleep. For many participants in our rating, disadvantages are a direct continuation of advantages.

Changan CS35

The fastest among the most leisurely was Chinese crossover CS35 (745 thousand rubles). The 1.6-liter engine (113 hp) accelerates the car to 100 km / h in 15 seconds, and the curb weight of the car is not so big - 1.3 tons. Interestingly, this result belongs to the most expensive configuration of the CS35, equipped with an "automatic". In the "base" the car is equipped with "mechanics" and accelerates a second faster. However, despite the sluggish performance of Chinese crossover there are a number of undeniable advantages. It is large (length - 4.1 m, width - 1.8 m), roomy (trunk volume 337 l) and has worthy equipment for its price ( leather upholstery seats, power sunroof, air conditioning).

Peugeot 2008

If the Peugeot 2008 (from 1.25 million rubles) under the hood of a three-cylinder engine with a volume of just over a liter and a power of 82 hp, aggregated with an "automatic", this crossover reaches the first hundred in 15.4 seconds. It does not reach the second hundred at all, since the maximum speed is limited to 170 km / h. The smallest powerful version 2008 became a hostage to circumstances: a 1.2-liter engine was developed specifically for the European market and its main advantages are environmental friendliness and small (4.9 liters per 100 km in combined cycle) fuel consumption. Such a modest appetite for 2008 will also undoubtedly please the Russians. In addition, a budget motor allows you to purchase a crossover of a prestigious French brand at a relatively low price. European car price.

Lifan Solano

Chinese sedan Lifan Solano(500 thousand rubles) shows a result of 15.5 seconds, regardless of the configuration and type of gearbox. By the way, the best indicator among all sedans participating in the rating. It is worth thanking distant Japanese relatives for the Solano motor, since the unit is a licensed copy of the Toyota 4A-FE motor, popular in the 1980s. Basically, this engine was equipped with the Corolla and Carina models, from which the Lifan Solano inherited dynamic characteristics. The car is worth basic configuration 500 thousand rubles and he can be called a strong middle peasant in the class budget sedans. The main advantages of the Solano are its simplicity of design and a time-tested licensed engine, which also consumes AI-92 gasoline, which is important at current fuel prices.

Chery Bonus

16 seconds to a hundred - this is the result Chery sedan Bonus (390 thousand rubles). An engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 109 hp, a weight of 1.2 tons, and even mechanical box gears - with this combination, acceleration could be more fun. Other motors, alas, are not provided in the range of the manufacturer. But Chery Bonus is one of the most affordable cars on the Russian market - the price of the basic configuration is only 390 thousand rubles. And his fuel consumption is small, only 6.5 liters of AI-92 per 100 kilometers. Bonus is a great example budget car, which is not supposed to be fast. Its main goal is to deliver the driver and passengers from one point to another, spending a minimum of fuel, and Chery Bonus copes well with this.

Citroen C-Elysee

french sedan Citroen C-Elysee(from 705 thousand rubles) is equipped with the same three-cylinder engine as the Peugeot 2008, but the power is lower by 10 horsepower (72 hp). Given that the sedan is also heavier by 500 kg, its acceleration to 100 km / h in 16.3 seconds looks quite expected. The C-Elysee has the same problem as the 2008 - the small-capacity is designed for European buyers, who get a tax credit for fuel economy and environmental friendliness. Russian motorists, on the other hand, will certainly appreciate the modest fuel consumption (5 liters per 100 kilometers) of the available car in the Citroen lineup. And not too rapid accelerating dynamics is another reason to drive calmly and save fuel.

Ravon Matiz

Ravon hatchback (formerly Daewoo) Matiz (from 314 thousand rubles) accelerates to a hundred in 17 seconds. Actually, more is not required from a small city car, in the process of driving to the store and back sharp accelerations especially not needed. The 0.8 liter engine produces only 52 horsepower, the gearbox is exclusively mechanical. With a weight of 770 kg, such characteristics quite allow Matiz to move around the city without any problems. Modest dynamics is offset by economy (6.2 liters of fuel per 100 km) and compact size, which allow you to forget about problems with parking. This is especially important for employees of various delivery services, because Matiz is their favorite car: it consumes little fuel, repairs and maintenance are inexpensive.

Suzuki Jimny

Closely approached the podium "honor" compact japanese SUV Suzuki Jimny(from 1 million rubles). This car occupies an exclusive niche in the market being the smallest frame SUV, but let's be objective - it's too slow. The Jimny has only one engine - a volume of 1.3 liters and a power of 85 hp. and in combination with an automatic transmission, it gives the Jimny a 0-60 mph time of 17.2 seconds. In fact, small sizes engine compartment and limited engineers Japanese company in engine size. The Jimny design has not changed for decades, but for the evolution of "rogues" who are gradually losing their off-road potential, this is only a plus and Jimny can be safely called one of the last "honest SUVs".

Chevrolet Niva and Lada 4x4

"Bronze" was divided between two SUVs, which, in fact, are relatives. The first is a five-door Lada 4x4 (510 thousand rubles), tested by time and domestic off-road, better known under the old name "Niva", the second is a joint project of GM and the Volga Automobile Plant Chevrolet Niva(570 thousand rubles). Both cars accelerate to 100 km / h in 19 seconds with identical weight (1.4 tons). This is not surprising, because they have the same engine: 1.7 liters and 80 hp. In favor of both SUVs, the technologies of light repairs in the garage, which have been developed over the years, and the low cost and abundance of spare parts on the side of the highway, speak in favor of both SUVs. The first "Niva" was created as a transport for the heads of collective farms; movement on asphalt in cities was not a technical task. And since the design has not changed much, it is not logical to demand accelerations from the car.

UAZ Patriot

Big UAZ SUV Patriot (780 thousand rubles) weighing 2.1 tons accelerates to 100 km / h in 22 seconds. To understand the scale of the problem - during the same time, world sprint champion Usain Bolt will run the crown hundred meters back and forth and send a kiss to all the beauties of Jamaica. diesel engine Zavolzhsky engine plant volume of 2.2 liters (114 hp) is frankly weak. Petrol version at the same weight, two seconds faster, thanks to more powerful engine(135 hp). Naturally, for off-road driving, fast acceleration is not so important. Here the decisive factor is the torque indicator, which allows the "Patriot" to get out of the most terrible off-road troubles.

UAZ Hunter

So the slowest passenger car Russia became a grandfather Russian car industry- five-door UAZ Hunter(470 thousand rubles), which is a slightly modernized "Kozlik" (UAZ-469, appeared in 1972). The SUV spends a record 35 seconds on acceleration. That is how much time doctors recommend spending on micro-meditations and short working breaks with stretching and stretching of the limbs. It looks like the Hunter driver should heed these tips before normal acceleration. But these figures are not at all important for Hunter. Clearance, cheap spare parts and service, fording depth and cross-country ability - that's what buyers of an SUV are interested in. The fact that the Hunter ranked #1 on our slowest car rankings Russian market, does not mean that it bad car. The predecessor of the "Hunter" was created exclusively for military needs, so the patency and the ability to repair with a hammer and one wrench were put at the forefront of the designers.

Now to give odds to the car and then overtake it without straining on a motorcycle is not a problem. Almost every motorcycle manufacturer is trying to release the fastest superbike. and if there are enough competitors, then outdo it. Therefore, it will probably be interesting for readers to look at the rating of the fastest motorcycles that do not even exist in a single instance. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is touted as intrusively as if no other automotive performance specs exist at all. But it has very little to do with actual performance, and worse, the importance of 0-100 in marketing often misrepresents the truth when Tesla claims to produce the fastest stock car on the planet, and Chevrolet boasts that the new Camaro ZL1 hits 100 in first gear. Well, so what? In reality, the number you see on the cover of a magazine or on the automaker's website doesn't tell you anything about real performance at all, and it's probably not even the number you get if you overclock yourself.

Camaro ZL1

First, let's step aside a little and look at the difference between the two interpretations of the word "fast". The first fast is a car with a short acceleration time from 0-100 km/h, for example, Tesla Model S P100D, which will take 2.5 seconds. The second fastest is a car with a high top speed, like Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, capable of 415 km / h. To put it bluntly, the Veyron, with a 2.5-second 0-60 mph time, is in the first category too, but the two characteristics (acceleration and speed) don't necessarily go hand in hand.

In the real world, acceleration is usually necessary to quickly enter traffic on a highway or pass someone on a oncoming lane. None of these situations has anything to do with how fast the car starts moving. Another part of the 0-100 problem is the inconsistency and inaccuracy that the automaker's claims generate. With the Model S P100D, Tesla claimed to have made the fastest production car on the planet. This led to a discussion about what really defines a stock car. The Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 both show the same 0-60 times, but Tesla says they can't be taken into account as they are low-volume specialized vehicles. Is it right Tesla opinion? Maybe. Does it make any sense? No!

Tesla Model S P100D overtakes Lamborghini Huracan

We see such statements by automakers everywhere. Some are quite conservative, while others are absolute lies. Companies will come up with all sorts of rules and pseudo-comparisons just to look better. And often they cheat with test conditions to improve results. That's why it's so important independent tests and reports carried out by journalists.

But even they have differences. Have you ever wondered why the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time from post A is shorter than from post B? As a rule, not because the first portal has a better test pilot, especially in modern world launch control and automatic boxes. And not because of the different accuracy of the measuring equipment, since absolutely everyone uses Racelogic VBOX data loggers. The difference in readings is usually due to the liberal use of the correction factor and the indiscriminate application of the so-called "rollout".

This term comes from the world of drag racing. Rollout is the distance that the car travels at the start before the sensor is triggered, starting the countdown of the official quarter-mile race time. At the start, the car is positioned in such a way that the front wheels block the beam of the photo sensor. After the start, the beam is released accordingly and starts the timer. However, when the sensor is blocked, the car may stand slightly advanced relative to the start line or vice versa before reaching it (depending on the size of the wheels). Despite the fact that the value of rollout is very small, its impact can be quite noticeable. Let's say the rollout value is 30 cm. But the starting push can be so serious that the car will overcome this distance in a few tenths of a second. Consequently, at the time of the start of time, it will already be moving at a speed of 5-6 km / h. Some editions take rollout into account, some do not, because there is no single standard. Whatever the case, the written testimonial is not the testimonial you feel.

Weather corrections must also be taken into account, because the motors give out different power in different weather conditions. Temperature, altitude and humidity have their effect. Although most publications claim that during testing they use the SAE standard for weather correction, the result may be different. However, weather corrections are adjusted for ideal conditions where the engine will be operated in optimal mode. In the real world, your vehicle will almost never drive perfect weather, that is, it will almost never give out the power that is declared and for which test corrections are made. Moreover, an impressive part modern engines turbocharged, which further exacerbates the difference and leads to confusion.

In addition to all this, there are many other factors that can change the acceleration characteristics. Non-standard tires, fuel, weight - all this affects the performance. Some cars with a sophisticated launch control system, honed for excellent acceleration times, show not very convincing times when starting off (for example, at 10-100 km / h). Often test drivers take the whole soul out of the car (spin the engine beyond the cutoff) just to show good seconds. It is clear that in reality, no owner will torment his car like that.

So, back to the first paragraph. chevrolet camaro ZL1 accelerates to 100 km/h in first gear. This is done in order not to violate the sacred acceleration from zero to one hundred in any way. The Camaro is far from the first to do this. Dodge Viper and Shelby GT500 decided to do the same. All of them set up gear ratios for this particular test. Would these cars drive better with shorter gears? Perhaps, but then the acceleration time to 100 km / h would increase due to the need to switch to the second in the process.

As technology continues to improve and cars become more complex and powerful, 0-60 mph times will continue to drop, and everyone (from auto enthusiasts to automakers) will continue to replicate this metric as something special and important. However, when the owner finds a quiet place with a long straight line and decides to take his own measurement, he will be disappointed. So the next time you hear in comparative test that one car accelerates 0.2 seconds faster than the other and is therefore better by default, know that this has little to do with reality.

If your life depends on good start from a traffic light, then you better sit in one of those cars that we present today for your review. We suggest you find out which cars are from 0-100 kilometers per hour. Who do you think will take first place on the podium?

Gumpert Apollo R

Gumpert Apollo R until 2008, few people knew. But after this brand starred in the Top Gear TV show, in which the car took first place in the table, after passing the track on which the program traditionally tests cars, the whole world learned about it.

Latest Gumpert Apollo R with 860 hp from 0-100 km / h accelerates in 2.9 seconds. The supercar passes the mark of 200 kilometers per hour after the start in 8.6 seconds.

Acceleration from 0-100 km / h is 2.9 seconds. Acceleration from 0-200 km / h in 7 seconds. The maximum speed is 350 km/h.

SSC Ultimate Aero TT

This car in 2007 was briefly recognized as the fastest car in the world, gaining maximum speed in a short time, which managed to reach a speed of 412 km / h. The power of the supercar is 1305 hp, which is achieved through a 6.2 liter turbocharged engine V8.

Sprint from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds.

Koenigsegg Regera

The latest work from the Swedish performance gurus. This supercar is a hybrid. Gas engine V8 has a power of 1100 hp. (twin-turbo), when both the electric motor develops a power of 707 hp. general power is 1800 hp Maximum torque 2000 Nm.

The Regera has fantastic performance that allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Up to 400 km / h from a place the supercar has the potential to accelerate in 20 seconds.

BAC Mono

Another crazy British car that only has one seat. In addition, this machine cannot be bought, since it is not for sale (including on order). The weight of the car is only 580 kg.

Acceleration to hundreds in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 270 km/h.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce

Some of the wealthy people probably thought that the regular version lacked power (how much more?). That is why Lamborghini company released special version model Aventador, which was called SuperVeloce. The car received a carbon aerodynamic kit, which allowed engineers to reduce the weight of the supercar by 50 kg and add power by 50 hp.

As a result, the car has a power of 750 hp. The weight of the sports car is 1600 kg. 0-100 km/h: 2.8 seconds.

Donkervoort D8 GTO

What do you think a supercar from Holland might look like? For example, as in the photo. This is a D8 GTO model that looks like a Caterham Seven. The weight of the machine is 695 kilograms. equipped with a 2.5 liter turbocharged five-cylinder Audi engine with 380 hp. and with a maximum torque of 475 Nm.

This is enough to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 270 km/h.

McLaren P1

that awaits our planet. As well as the exterior, inside the car uses technology out of this world (like the LaFerrari).

Sports hybrid car equipped with an eight-cylinder engine, 737 hp. and 180-horsepower electric motor. The total power is 916 hp. (maximum torque 900 Nm). Hybrid crazy car capable of accelerating to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds, up to 200 km / h in 6.8 seconds.

In total, it is planned to release 375 copies, which have already been ordered. The cost in Europe is 1.1 million euros.

W Motors Lykan Hypersport

First Arabic supercar goes under the name W Motors Lykan Hyper Sports. You could see this car in the movie Fast and Furious 7 (jump from the 45th floor of a skyscraper). In total, seven copies of the expensive supercar will be produced.

The cost is 3,400,000 dollars (most likely due to the use of diamonds in the front optics). The car is equipped with a 3.7 liter six-cylinder engine with two turbochargers.

Power is 751 hp. (Maximum torque 960 Nm). Acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 385 km/h.

Nissan GT-R

Despite not a small weight (1800 kg) and not a typical body shape (for supercars), under certain conditions it can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 2.7 seconds, thanks to a V6 engine with two turbines, with a power of 550 hp.

True, this is the speed declared by the manufacturer, and so far, acceleration, in less than three seconds, is not officially subject to anyone. But just over three seconds to 100 km/h is also not a bad result.

Nissan GT-R Nismo

More powerful version legendary car Nissan GT-R. This version of the car has a lighter body weight (less than kg), which made it possible to add 50 hp of power.

Judging by technical specifications manufacturer's acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 2.7 seconds. This is more realistic, but, nevertheless, so far no one has officially confirmed this either.

Hennessey Venom GT

This car was received a few years ago. True, Bugatti disputed the result due to the fact that the Venom GT was upgraded, unlike the serial Bugatti. Veyron Super Sport, which participated in the measurements without additional modifications.

But, nevertheless, Venom GT wrote itself into the history of the automotive industry, accelerating to 435 km / h, thanks to a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (this engine is installed on the Lotus Exige) with a capacity of 1261 hp. and a maximum torque of 1566 Nm.

The weight of the car is only 1244 kg. This allows the Venom GT to accelerate from zero to 322 km/h in 14.5 seconds.

A standard sprint to 100 km is given to a supercar in 2.7 seconds. So unfortunately today Hennessey Venom GT only holds the non-official world speed record.

Caterham Seven 620R

This is a very small and fragile-looking car with a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine weighing only 545 kg. If jumping from a height without a parachute is too boring for someone, then there is an alternative - the Caterham Seven 620 R.

Acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 2.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km/h.

Radical RXC Turbo

Believe it or not, the RXC Turbo supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. This supercar is equipped electronic technologies stabilization, which has no equal in the world.

The machine is equipped with a 3.5 liter Ford engine EcoBoost V6 with 460 hp The weight of the car is only 940 kg. The maximum speed is 298 km/h.

Porsche 918 Spyder

Another one of the legendary trio of manufacturers sports cars. The power of the hybrid supercar is 887 hp. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 2.6 seconds.

The maximum speed is 345 km/h. A total of 918 copies will be produced at a price of 786,000 euros.

Bugatti Veyron SuperSport

Admit it, you thought of as the world leader in sprinting from 0 to 100 km / h. But let's face it, it's not. This supercar deserves only the third place in our ranking of the fastest accelerating cars.

Veyron 1200 hp accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 431 km / h.

Caparo T1

This unusual British supercar has not gone far from Formula 1 cars (however, unlike F1 cars, this car does not have reliability and due quality) and therefore occupies the second line in our rating, overtaking the legendary Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

The Caparo T1 is equipped with a 3.5 liter V8 engine producing 582 hp. The weight of the car is 470 kg, which allows the sports car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds!!! The maximum speed is 350 km/h.

Ariel Atom V8

Meet with applause, which is the leader in acceleration from 0-100 km / h. The car accelerates to hundreds in 2.3 seconds. It's amazing. Ariel already with a four-cylinder engine and 300 hp. seems already crazy, not to mention the version with an eight-cylinder engine with a power of 507 hp. (engine speed 10500 rpm). The weight of the supercar is only 550 kg.

The maximum speed is 275 km/h. A total of 25 copies were produced. The price in 2010 was approximately 180,000 euros (in Germany).

The main factor that influences car acceleration time, is the engine power. In addition, a huge number of other factors affect the acceleration of a car. It all depends on the level of aerodynamics of the car, its weight, tires, suspension, type of gearbox installed on the car and other things. Next, we describe each of the factors in detail.

Forces acting on a car while moving.

What determines the acceleration time of the car.

1) Vehicle weight. And so, the lighter the car, the easier it will accelerate and take turns. Manufacturers of sports cars that are designed to race on the tracks, absolutely in every way try to reduce weight, while maintaining its power.

2) Auto acceleration. In the automotive industry, manufacturers often use different aluminum alloys, which are lightweight and, at the same time, reliable and safe. Body parts of sports cars are made of carbon - a special carbon fiber. Steel, compared to carbon fiber, is more than one and a half times heavier! The weight of parts made from aluminum is about 20 percent lighter than parts made from steel. Carbon fiber is used to make aerodynamic parts. Carbon fiber is not quite suitable for making a car frame, because to give the driver safety, it will take several layers of carbon fiber to make the frame, which will weigh almost like a steel frame, but at the same time cost several times more.

3) Wheels affect vehicle acceleration. Manufacturers install discs made from light alloys. The wheels are fitted with low profile tires. These wheels weigh a little. More information you can find out about wheels on the Internet, therefore, we will not dwell on their varieties.

4) Vehicle aerodynamics- one of the most pressing issues in racing. Significant air resistance to the car is when accelerating over 80 km / h. Untuned aerodynamics significantly increase car acceleration time.

5) Tires on a car. It depends on the tires and the pressure in them. acceleration time sports car from the spot. Tires must be "warmed up" before the start of the race in order to better grip with asphalt. To warm up the tires, 10-15 minutes of quiet driving or wheel slip on the spot is enough. For example, in "Formula 1", in order to ideally take turns without losing speed, the racers make a "warm-up lap" before the start. Most good grip with asphalt have slick tires.

6) Transmission - gearbox. Gear ratios are both long and short. Short gear ratios have many teeth on the part gears for each gear. If a sports car needs to accelerate quickly, manufacturers make gear ratios shorter. Note that gear ratios affect the speed of the car. That is, a car with smooth acceleration has a higher top speed than a car with fast acceleration . If the track has a lot of turns where you need to quickly accelerate, then it is worth installing a gearbox with short gear ratios. In conventional city cars, gear ratios are balanced for efficient acceleration and normal top speeds.

7) car suspension. For a quick start and perfect cornering, sports cars are equipped with a special sports rigid suspension.

8) Vehicle drive type. It depends on this acceleration from a standstill. With the same power of two cars with rear and front-wheel drive, the first will always win.
