How to tint front side windows. Tinted front windows according to GOST

How to tint front side windows. Tinted front windows according to GOST

Athermal tinting is applied in order to protect from the sun and heat, which the former gives in incommensurable quantities. Chameleon tinting, on the other hand, is just a kind of athermal film, and it differs in that it tends to automatically change light transmission depending on the brightness of the sun. To what extent do both types of these tints comply with laws, state standards and other standards, and are they allowed?

Let's start with the fact that there is no GOST for athermal tinting, as well as in general - there is technical regulation, according to which the light transmission of the windshield and front side windows must comply with the norm of 70%. This means that these glasses must pass 70% of all the light that enters through them from the outside into the interior of the car. And therefore (for the traffic police inspector) there is absolutely no difference whether you have tinted or not, whether it is athermal or not, whether it is "chameleon" or not, in general it is transparent, black, green, blue or purple and so on.

And here one trouble awaits us: in everyday life you will not find glass, the light transmission of which reaches 100%, and the glass of absolutely all cars from the factory is even less transparent than, for example, the glass of window frames. It depends on the model specific vehicle, but, as a rule, the light transmission of car windows is about 80-90%. And if you are going to glue an athermal film on the windows of your car, then you should know that this athermal tinting has a slightly lower light transmission and the "chameleon" tinting has even less light transmission.

As a result, we get that in most cases, the athermal film on the windshield and front side windows will not provide sufficient light transmission according to GOST in 70%. By the way, about GOST - the norms of light transmission of the front hemisphere of car windows are still regulated by GOSTs, and the same 70% appear there. This GOST is called "GOST 32565-2013. Interstate standard. Safety glass for land transport. Are common specifications.", and the paragraph itself reads as follows:

5.1.2.5. The light transmission of glasses that provide visibility for the driver in front must be at least 70% for windshields and for glasses that are not windshields, but provide a view of the driver in front and behind. Provided that two external rear-view mirrors are installed on vehicles, the light transmission of glasses providing a rear view of the driver is not standardized.

There are only two points regarding this GOST: firstly, it refers more (it is guided by it) to manufacturers of windshields and side windows; secondly, the punishment for driving a car with athermal tinting not according to GOST () is provided not at all for violating GOST as such, but for violating the "Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 018/2011 "On the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles", clause 4.3 of which reads:

4.3. The light transmission of the windshield and windows through which forward visibility for the driver is provided must be at least 70%.

(As of the date this article was written, this TR of the Customs Union canceled the previous document, which contained a similar ban - "Technical Regulations on the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles", however, changes have not yet been made to the Code of Administrative Offenses.)

So what is the answer to main question, arising from the reader: is athermal tinting or "chameleon" tinting allowed - will it pass testing by the traffic police inspector's device for light transmission of at least 70%? You understand that the answer to it is individual for everyone and depends on the initial light transmission of the glasses, set by the manufacturer of your car, as well as on the brand of athermal tint film - more precisely, its light transmission. The situation is even more complicated with "chameleon" tinting - there is an opinion (it is not confirmed by measurements) that the light transmission after measurement by a traffic police officer of such a film can always be different depending on the level of illumination on the street and the place of measurement.

And here, perhaps, the best solution to the issue of the legality of athermal tinting can be measured by one's own efforts. You can find or purchase a device that measures the light transmission of glasses, or in general, before tinting a car, ask a piece of such a film from tinters, go to a traffic police post and there heart-rendingly ask you to try to measure this film on your windshield - maybe they will not refuse. The only condition: you will need to stick this piece of athermal tinting on the glass, otherwise its loose fit to the glass will show unreliable data on light transmission. Then don't forget to rip off that tint.

There is one more important point- athermal tinting and the "chameleon" film "mirror" quite strongly - especially, this applies to the "Dubai" tinting, which is actually a mirror tint, and mirror tinting is completely prohibited for cars (here we are talking about a complete ban on the "SLR", and not the norm at 70% light transmission). In theory, in the case of an athermal film, which is quite a bit mirrored, nothing will happen according to the law, since the concept of "mirror" tinting is not reflected in any regulatory legal act and therefore, according to Article 1.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, "Irremovable doubts about the guilt of a person brought to administrative responsibility are interpreted in favor of this person. That is, until the very concept of mirror tinting is known and the criteria for such "mirror" are not defined, then a person cannot be prosecuted for this. However, in practice there is such an "iron" argument in the courts as the all-seeing and impartial eye of the traffic police inspector, who personally determines whether your tint is mirrored or not. However, attracting drivers with athermal tinting and with a "chameleon" film precisely because of their specularity is a rather rare phenomenon today.

Finding out if car tinting is allowed and in what cases will certainly be useful for many car owners. Motorists love this glass coating, not only because it helps to hide interior and all passengers. increase resistance to mechanical damage, soften the sharp illumination of oncoming cars, protect the interior from burnout.

Pros of toning

The undoubted positive aspects in the use of tinted glass include:

  1. One hundred percent reflection of ultraviolet rays is a guarantee against burnout of the interior "decoration" of the car.
  2. The salon does not overheat in the heat, since 70% of the heat rays do not penetrate into the car, delayed by tinting.
  3. Protection of the windshield from the blinding headlights of oncoming vehicles.
  4. Increasing strength and resistance mechanical impact(hitting, hitting objects, etc.).
  5. Hiding from the eyes of potential criminals valuables, keys, documents in the car.
  6. Reducing the impact on the driver of the glare of the sun, which increases traffic safety at times.

Regulations

Despite the visible advantages, car window tinting is a controversial topic. Whether tinting is allowed can be found by referring to the legislative acts regulating this issue. Rules traffic they say that any type of glass coating (front, side, rear), changing (in the worst side) their transparency may be the basis for a ban on the use of the car.

The main regulatory document for automotive glass coating is the Customs Union “On the safety of wheeled vehicles”. This technical regulation was adopted for execution on January 1, 2015.

The requirements of past documents for car windows remained practically unchanged, although most car owners were waiting for some mitigation in this area.

Here is how the fourth section of the technical regulations interprets the main provisions regarding the visibility of automotive glass:
  • glasses must be installed according to the recommendations of the car manufacturer;
  • do not use objects or coatings on glass that reduce the visibility of the road, thereby contributing to the occurrence of an emergency;
  • glass on the front doors must transmit at least 70% of the light, this also applies to the windshield;
  • rear windows can be tinted as you like, but subject to the installation of side mirrors on the car;
  • the windshield can be provided with a strip at the top to protect against light, but not wider than 14 cm;
  • any tinting in a mirror way is prohibited;
  • the presence of cracks in the area of the windshield wipers is not allowed;
  • tinted glass should not drastically change colors, especially the colors of traffic lights, as well as streetlights and white and blue colors.

One of the main arguments of legislators who oppose window tinting, whether front or windshield, is concern for the safety of all road users. Exist legislative acts, which allow you to make the car heavily tinted - this is allowed for cars of special services.

How is window tint checked?

The light transmission of glass is one of the indicators that is controlled during the passage technical inspection car. The condition of the glasses should be checked with special devices - taumeters. Most often, organizations involved in checking the technical condition of machines use Blik brand devices.

The car owner has the right to demand a certificate for the device from the inspector. State certification bodies issue certificates in which the date of verification is recorded annually.

The instrument must also be labeled with the date of the next inspection. The inspector must also have a personal seal, in the absence of which the car owner can dispute the readings of the device. It is very interesting that the light transmittance can be measured not only during the day, but also at night. But there are some factors that can change the readings of the Blik device - low air humidity (during fog, for example), air temperature below 10 degrees Celsius. The device shows on the display not the degree of tinting, but the ability of light to pass through the glass.

Your actions

What to do if you do not agree with the readings of the device and do not want to pay a fine for violating the tinting of the car?

  • First, you need to write a complaint in the form of an application to the traffic police within ten days from the date of the check. Representatives of these authorities should appoint a time and place that is convenient for you, and conduct the examination again.
  • Secondly, it is not forbidden to bring the glasses back to normal during this time and thereby save yourself from paying a fine.

If you do tinting in car dealerships, then after the work done, the specialists must provide you with a certificate confirming compliance with the necessary standards. It is advisable to keep this document in the car in order to show it to the traffic police if necessary.

It does not matter what kind of tinting, in what way the darkened coating is applied to the glass (by spraying, sticking a film or complete replacement), the main thing is compliance with standard standards.

Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation No. 329 and the “Instructions on the work of the traffic police of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation” do not allow their full-time employees to check technical condition car, including tinting, if the driver has a valid technical inspection certificate. The presence of a coupon is a kind of guarantor, protection from checks by the guards.

Should you break the law?

In order not to “run into” a fine, but still make the interior dark, you can use these simple tips:

  • do not use untested and uncertified materials;
  • have on hand a document confirming compliance with GOSTs;
  • use of curtains;
  • installation of removable tinted glass.

Good afternoon, dear reader.

This article will focus on the features of car tinting in 2019, as well as possible penalties for applying a tint film to glass.

In addition, let's talk about permitted tinting, which can be used quite legally without fear of fines.

Allowed tinting in 2019?

So, for starters, let's look at what kind of car window tinting is allowed in 2019:

Windshield tint width

The first question that often interests drivers is maximum width tint stripes on the top of the windshield. For passenger cars mobiles she is 14 centimeters.

Using film with 70% light transmission

The second popular question is whether the driver will be fined for tinting if applied to the windshield and front side windows film, the light transmission of which is exactly 70 percent.

To answer this question, one should take into account the fact that the light transmission of the glass of even a new car does not reach 100 percent.

Consider an example. If the light transmission of the new glass is 95 percent, and the tint film is 70 percent, then the final light transmission is calculated by the formula:

0.95 * 0.7 = 0.665 i.e. 66.5%

In practice, it does not matter whether a film is pasted on the glass that transmits 70 percent or lets through 5 percent of the light. Both options are the same offense and carry the same penalty.

Permissible tinted front windows

By itself, tinting the windshield and front side windows is not prohibited. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the only condition - the light transmission of tinted glass should be greater 70 percent.

IN this case you can try to use a film with light transmission from 85 to 95 percent.

Note. If you want to be sure that the tinting complies with current legislation, then after applying the film, check the light transmission with a special device. In car services that specialize in working with automotive glass, such devices are usually available.

How do I get permission to tint?

There is a widespread myth among drivers that in Russia it is possible to get special permission for tinting, which allows you to tint the car with any kind of films. The legislation does not provide for anything of the kind.

Note. If you see a tinted car on the street, this does not mean that its driver has special permission. Most likely, the driver simply did not have time to get caught by the traffic police.

Car tinting fees

In 2019, for illegal tinting of car windows, only a fine of 500 rubles(part 3 1 ).

The size of the fine for tinting does not depend on how much light transmission the car windows have, as well as on how many glasses the tinted film is applied to. In any case, it is 500 rubles.

In addition to the fine, traffic police officers can issue.

Note. Before, traffic police officers could remove license plates from a car for tinting, but in 2019 this type of punishment is not used.

What happens if...

...remove the tint immediately after being stopped by a traffic police officer.

If you remove the tint film immediately after the car is stopped by a traffic police officer, the driver will still be charged for tinting, because. a fine is a punishment for driving a car with insufficient light transmission of the windows. In this case, the control of the car takes place until the moment the car is stopped.

... remove the tint immediately after the fine is issued.

If the driver removes the tint immediately after the traffic police officer draws up a decision on the imposition administrative fine then he can avoid repeated punishments for the same violation. If the tinting is not removed, then at the next stop by the traffic police, the driver will receive new penalty. The number of fines is not limited.

...use removable window tinting.

Removable toning glass does not protect the driver from fines. However, its use will allow you, if necessary, to quickly release the glass and avoid repeated fines for the same violation.

Finally, I suggest you watch a video in which the tint film is removed using water vapor:

If you wish, you can repeat this procedure and clean the car windows from the film yourself.

Good luck on the roads!

What will be for a repeated violation within a year for tinting the front windows, only a fine of 500 or more severe punishment?

meteor host The Code of Administrative Offenses provides for this violation only a fine of 500 rubles.

Good luck on the roads!

Correct the inaccuracies in the article:

"If you remove the tint immediately after the traffic police officer draws up a decision on the imposition of an administrative fine, then the numbers from the car will not be removed, because the reason for the prohibition of operation has been eliminated."

You yourself wrote that since 2014, the removal of numbers is not provided.

meteor host, thanks for the comment, additions have been made to the article.

Good luck on the roads!

Guys, why do you write that if you remove the toner immediately after being stopped by a traffic police officer, there will still be a fine? after all, guilt must be proven, but there is no tinting - there is no measurement of light transmission - there is no violation. the presumption of innocence, there is still such a thing. another thing is that kindergarten, glue the toner to tear it off before each IDPS))

Mikhail-125

"The first question that quite often interests drivers is the maximum width of the tint strip on the top of the windshield. For passenger cars, it is 14 centimeters." - they didn’t say the most important thing - how, where to measure these same 140mm from? from the outside? from the inside? to measure the strip itself or taking into account the darkening along the edge of the glass? But these are completely different distances! on one machine the glass is almost perpendicular and on the other lies! on the first car, 140mm will be fine (to get rid of the blinding sun) and on the second it will most likely not be enough! and there is more panoramic glass! so it turns out that this strip will have to be glued behind the driver?

Gradually, but steadily, the old orders are being replaced by new rules that are more in line with world experience. Allowed car tinting, which continues to be a popular option for tuning them, is no exception.

Today, according to the law, the President and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation can drive in a fully tinted car. For other citizens, the dimming of windows in their cars operated on the territory of Russia must be carried out in accordance with certain rules.

What kind of tinting is allowed on the windshield and other car windows: we understand the standards

Until the beginning of last year, the requirements for tinting (more precisely, for light transmission) of auto glass were contained in GOST 5727-88 “Safety glass for ground transport”. Four changes have been made to it since the early 1990s. The last one came into force in 2002. It established the following requirements for the light transmission of auto glass:

  • the coefficient of light transmission of windshields of vehicles and trams should not be less than 75%.
    Note 1: The windshield may have had a light protection strip at the top. GOST 5727-88 contained a formula for calculating its width. Usually it turned out to be no wider than 15 cm, but the formula took into account, in addition to the work of the wipers, the boundaries of the regulatory zones, as well as the viewing angles for the driver when different conditions ride.
  • light transmission of non-windshield glasses included in the so-called. “Regulatory field of view P”, in particular, windows of front doors, should not be less than 70%;
  • the light transmission of other non-windshield glasses is not standardized.

Effective January 1, 2015 new GOST 32565-2013 under the same title. What is the permitted tinting of the front windows in 2019? GOST 32565 somewhat relaxed the requirements for the value of their light transmission coefficient, lowering its lower threshold from 75 to 70%. This change legitimizes the very popular last years the practice of tinting windshields with transparent or colored athermal films (see below).

The requirements of the new GOST for the light transmission of windshields are duplicated and
in the technical regulations that entered into force on the territory of the Russian Federation in February 2015 Customs Union(TS), bearing the name "On wheeled vehicles". What is the permitted tinting of the front windows in 2019 according to this document? The minimum of their light transmission is set to the same 70%, i.e. the new GOST and the technical regulations of the Customs Union have been agreed on this issue.

The new GOST and technical regulations of the Customs Union contain another innovation regarding windshields. They set the maximum allowable width a shading strip for them of 140 mm (for categories M 1, M 2, N 1), and the light transmission of the strip is not standardized.

What percentage of tinting is allowed for non-windshields with these normative documents? Firstly, the new GOST divided all the glasses auto vehicle into two categories:

Both of these categories are divided according to the geometric principle. On the driver's seat, the manufacturer must indicate (in a coordinate way) the so-called. "Point R" If a vertical plane is drawn through it, perpendicular to the longitudinal median plane of the car, then its windows that are in front of the vertical plane will be classified as category 1, and the windows that are behind it will be classified as category 2.

According to the new GOST and technical regulations of the Customs Union, the light transmission of category 1 and 2 glasses must be at least 70%, i.e. no worse than windshields. However, if the car has two external rear-view mirrors, then the light transmission of category 2 glasses is not standardized.

Note 2: SDA allow the use of curtains on the windows of buses, as well as blinds and curtains on rear windows passenger cars equipped with two (right and left) outside rear-view mirrors It turns out that you can have a completely curtained (and tinted) rear window.

Why is the permitted percentage of tinting on front windows reduced in the new GOST?

The light transmission coefficient of even new auto glass never reaches 100%, and in best case is equal to 85%. Let the light transmission coefficient of the tint film be 75% (a fairly common indicator), then the final light transmission coefficient will be:

0.85 x 0.75 = 0.6375, i.e. 63.75%

It turns out that such a film could not provide the required light transmission according to the old GOST 5727-88, not only for the windshield, but also for the windows of the front doors.

The highest light transmission coefficient of new (not used) tint films is in the range of 80-90%. It turned out that their use on windshields according to the old GOST was obviously illegal, because:

  • usually new windshield has a typical light transmission coefficient of 80-85%;
  • after several years of operation, the coefficient decreases to 75-80%.

A light transmission coefficient greater than 75% can only be obtained with the maximum values of the coefficients of new glass (85%) and new film (90%):

0.9 x 0.85 = 0.765, i.e. 76.5%.

In reality, this value is practically unattainable (in any case, it is rare). Typically, the resulting film-windshield ratio is below 75% but above 70%. That is why the new GOST 32565-2013 lowered the lower limit to 70%.

Today, the answer to the question: “Is it possible to tint the front windows?”, Rather positive than negative. If the measurement of the light transmission of the windshield + tint film system, performed at a car service or by a traffic police inspector, gives a reading above 70%, then there is no reason to punish the driver and demand to remove the tint.

The same can be said about the tinted windows of the front doors. To exactly comply with the new GOST, they should also be tinted without reducing the resulting light transmission coefficient below 70%. glass rear doors and the rear windshield can be darkened as you like, without fear of punishment.

Permitted tinting of car windows: what is possible and what is not?

The adoption of the new GOST finally legalized the tinting of auto glass with films, since it contains the definition of safety glass with a polymer coating, although the word film is not used.

What kind of tinting is allowed in the Russian Federation? Any corresponding to GOST 32565, technical regulations of the Customs Union and traffic rules. Today it is possible to tint the windows of the car yourself both by spraying and by films from the outside or from the inside of the cabin.

A separate question, is mirror tinting allowed? It is not directly prohibited by the new GOST, however, the technical regulations of the Customs Union in clause 4.5 establish that mirror effect, created by the coating of auto glass, is unacceptable. The ban imposed on it by the standard of 1993, containing the procedure for admitting vehicles to operation, has not been removed from the “reflex camera”. After all, to drive a car with a mirror tint on rear window sometimes it's just dangerous - the reflected light is blinding.

Although the light transmission coefficient of the rear windshield and rear door windows is not standardized, it must be remembered that a film with a light transmission of less than 60% begins to noticeably “mirror”. Therefore, it is better to use a more transparent film with additional curtains.

Athermal tinting: allowed or not?

It is known that without tinting, neither the climate control system nor the air conditioner often helps, the driver and passengers feel like in an oven, the mood drops, especially if your car is overtaken by a tinted one. In general, without dark glasses, just nowhere.

By the way, in the state of California for four years now, tinting has become a mandatory attribute of all cars. Auto glass is tinted with special metallic inclusions that reflect the sun's rays as much as possible. As a result, the following positive phenomena take place:

  • car interior does not overheat,
  • motorists turn on air conditioners less,
  • consequently, fuel consumption is reduced,
  • decrease harmful emissions into the environment.

But what about light transmission? After all, shaded glass obviously will not give a light transmission coefficient above 70%. It turns out that a solution has already been found, and it is called "athermal" tint film. It has a high transmission of visible light - a coefficient of the order of 90%, however, it strongly degrades the ultraviolet and infrared part of the incident spectrum. luminous flux. This tint has the following positive aspects:

  • the interior does not overheat and does not fade from bright sunlight;
  • the “windshield + athermal film” system has a light transmission coefficient of about 80%, i.e. obviously pass according to the new GOST;
  • at night, the driver is not blinded by the headlights of oncoming cars;
  • the glasses appear attractive appearance with a tide;
  • from the outside, the interior is viewed worse than in the absence of tinting.

It should be emphasized again that athermal tinting does not weaken the visible part of the incident light. So shade backseat car through it will not work. Here you can not do without curtains on the rear windshield and rear door windows.

Is athermal tinting allowed in Russia? After the release of the new GOST, we can confidently say that yes, it is allowed. After all, in paragraph 3.4 it contains the definition of the so-called. "safety glass" with a polymer coating capable of attenuating the infrared part of sunlight. And what is it, if not athermal tinting?

A kind of athermal, but with variable degree reflections of thermal and UV radiation (in the bright sun it is stronger, on a cloudy day it is weaker), is the so-called. toning "chameleon". Is she allowed or not? The answer is unequivocal. If the light transmission coefficient of the glass + chameleon film system is not lower than 70%, then everything is in order, the traffic police should not have any complaints.

Conclusion

Summarizing all of the above, you can answer the question: “What kind of tinting is allowed according to GOST in 2019?”, give the following answer - any tinting is allowed that complies with GOST 32565-2013 and the technical regulations of the Customs Union, except for creating a mirror effect.

In this article, we will analyze new law about tinting 2019. What does it mean for drivers? How to bypass its rules? Is it possible not to pay draconian fines and still drive with tinted windows? I will talk about this and many other interesting things below.

By the way, here new bill, canceling fines for tinting.

You can download.

Never understood people tinting their car windows before. What do they do when they hide in the dark? Eating sandwiches? Travel without clothes? Picking your ears and nose? All my life I moved around in the "aquarium" and was incredibly happy - everyone around saw me, radiant and completely open to the world. And "men in black", on the contrary, aroused distrust. Not only did they look like brothers from the 90s, but, in my deep conviction, they most often broke the rules.

The worldview changed a week after Opel purchases Astra J 2018. Once I left a brand new car in the parking lot, I went about my business. A couple of hours after returning, I discovered that the radio and iPad were brazenly stolen from the cabin. My indignation knew no bounds: how could this be? I locked the car and set the alarm. And they still stole it? For what and why? Poraskinuv brains, I realized the reason: for what squeamish toning. Indeed, on that day, my neighbors in the parking lot had dark windows - so no one got to them.

I immediately went to the garage, I decided to do a little magic and pasted a dark film on all the windows. The car immediately changed, acquired a more muscular appearance and became an order of magnitude more solid. I also liked driving with a new thing, because with tinting you see everyone around, but no one sees you.

And got caught again...

But the blessed time did not last long - the other day I was expecting another financial waste. This time from the traffic police. I was fined 500 rubles for the fact that the tinted windows of my favorite Opel let in less than 75% of the light. It turned out that, having solved one problem, I was drawn into another. Finally convinced that this world is extremely cruel and unfair to me, I went for a consultation with a familiar lawyer-forensic specialist who deals with administrative appeals. He explained to me on his fingers the amendments to the law on tinting in 2019. We also talked with him about how to avoid sanctions from law enforcement officers, and at the same time leave the windows dark.

In our country, the rules for tinting cars have been in effect for several years. And since drivers are reluctant to open up to the world and “undress” their cars, sanctions for violations in this area are getting tougher every year.

The new tinting laws of 2019 primarily affected changes to the administrative offenses establishing fines for non-compliance with the rules of the road. In particular, paragraph 7.3 of the above document states that automotive glass must have a light transmission coefficient corresponding to GOST. If its value is less, the operation of the vehicle is prohibited. The law of 2019 does not mention how to properly tint car windows. But he refers in this part to by-laws.

So, according to GOST 5727-88, windshields cars must transmit at least 75% of the light, and the front side windows - at least 70%. The materials used for tinting should not distort the red, green, yellow, blue and white colors. The rest of the windows can be tinted as you like - at least tightly fill with resin. Also on windshield you can apply a dark strip of tinting with a width of not more than 14 centimeters.

Law enforcement officers, as it turned out, apply the car tinting law with great pleasure, and fine drivers right and left. In addition to a monetary sanction, traffic cops can also prohibit the operation of the vehicle if the cause of the violation is not eliminated immediately. In other words, if you fail to tear off the tint film from the glass directly in the presence of the inspector, the latter will have every right to unscrew the license plates.

What is the driver to do? On the one hand, the sanctions that are established by the state seem to be for the sake of road safety. On the other hand, the safety of property in the car, which the authorities this moment also can not provide. Below we offer options that allow you not to pay fines and keep things.

The best defense is an attack

The easiest way, and absolutely free of charge, is to study the new tinting law well, and then teach it to the inspector who stopped you. The fact is that the procedural rules regarding the fixation of an offense and the imposition of sanctions for wrong tinting are so complex that traffic cops almost always make a mistake somewhere. This is what we suggest you use.

The rulers of the striped wands make a great many mistakes in practice due to ignorance of the norms. Let's look at some of these rules:
  1. Measurement of the correctness of tinting can only be carried out using a special device - a taumeter. If this is not the case, the inspector has no right to measure. In this case, start the car and drive on.
  2. The taumeter must have a certificate and a seal on the case. If you were offered only a copy of the certificate, and the seal is damaged, today is your day, and law enforcement officers are obliged to let you go in peace.
  3. On the battery, you can check the maximum allowable power supply of the device - 12 volts with an error of 0.6 volts. If the voltage is not correct, send an inspector for a new device.
  4. Measurements in rainy weather at a humidity of 45-80% are prohibited - you should first take the car to a dry place. If it is far away, the law enforcement officer will most likely leave you alone. The main thing is not to forget to remind him of such a rule.
  5. The same applies to atmospheric pressure - the maximum permissible value 645-795 mm.
  6. Some devices, for example, the same BLIK, can measure light transmission at a temperature of at least 10 degrees. If it's colder outside, feel free to protest.
  7. And, of course, the inspector must have devices for measuring atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity levels. If they don't, say goodbye!
  8. You also have the right to demand a measurement in the presence of 2 witnesses. In this case, it is done at 3 different points on the car glass. If the inspector measured the light transmission at only 1 point, and this is recorded in the protocol or at least recorded on video, such a procedural document will be invalidated.
  9. Glass checks are allowed only at stationary posts. Therefore, if you were stopped and offered to take a measurement in another place, feel free to refuse. Moreover, when asked to drive to the post, also do not rush to do it. A traffic cop can escort you there only after making an administrative detention. And for this he must have good reasons.

As you can see, this tinting is a difficult task for inspectors. The changes in the law of 2019 were indeed intended to significantly worsen the lives of drivers. But in order to live comfortably with them, it is enough just to learn these legal norms. Otherwise, you will either have to drive around in the aquarium, or pay fines.

Need for fudge wise

Now let's turn to technical side question. Car enthusiasts are using more and more new inventions designed to get around the law. Here are some of them.

Automatic tinting. Installation of the so-called "chameleon glass", which changes color from dark to transparent in a matter of seconds and vice versa, can cost a round sum - about 10 thousand dollars. Such a device guarantees an almost 100% guarantee of avoiding a fine. But in this case, I don't understand. If a driver has several thousand for expensive glass, is it too expensive for him to pay the unfortunate 500 rubles? Somehow it doesn't fit very well. Although, maybe it just brings pleasure to drivers - after all, they managed to bypass the system!

Toning "on adhesive tape". Drivers have known about this trick for a long time: tinting is glued to a transparent film, after which the latter is attached to the glass with double-sided tape. You can remove it in a few moments. That's just not a ride with most inspectors. Noticing the blatant impudence on your part, he will most likely draw up a report on the offense and indicate in it that it is illegal installed film at the moment of stopping the vehicle, you brutally ripped off. He will not take any measurements. Then you yourself will go to court for 500 rubles and prove that you are right.

Parking tint. Special plastic curtains are designed primarily for parking purposes. But in practice, drivers take them off only immediately before the post. patrol service. The asking price is just under $100. The risks are the same as in the case of "adhesive" tinting. However, hiding the curtain is faster and easier than tearing off the film. Maybe the inspector won't notice.

Double-glazed windows. They can always be raised in sunny weather and lowered in dark time day or when approaching a patrol post. They cost about $500 with installation. You risk the same as in the previous paragraphs, but to an even lesser extent.

As you can see, none of technical ways bypassing the amendments to the law on tinting 2019-2020, with the exception of automatic tinting - an adaptation of wealthy fighters with the system, does not give a 100% result. Therefore, we recommend using several methods in combination at the same time. First, you can memorize legal rules well and learn how to properly discuss with inspectors. In 80% of cases, this will be enough to leave you behind.

In case the traffic cops suddenly turn out to be extremely advanced and do everything right, use one of the technical methods we have proposed. Your chances of avoiding the fine in this case will increase significantly. And even if the result is negative, you can always remove the tint at the place where the protocol was drawn up, and the license plates from your favorite car will not be removed.
