How to find the cause of a bad oven

You can also check it in the way described below: turn off the stove motor, drive the engine, wait for the stove radiator to warm up, and turn on the stove, if the stove immediately gives out much more heat than usual, then there are problems with coolant circulation. If there was no temperature jump, then the stove gives out all the incoming heat. If there is not enough heat, then it is necessary to insulate the engine compartment.
The problem could also be in the heater core.
It is possible that a blockage has formed, or an air lock. If a traffic jam has formed, it can be eliminated very easily, for this we put the car on the curb with the right front wheel, and leave it to work for about 10 minutes, if the traffic jam is to blame, then the air will come out. In the event that, it’s not so easy to get rid of it. Needs to be cleaned. We buy a special liquid, and fill it into the cooling system. The best option would be either flushing with the heater radiator removed, or even replacing it with a new one.

But before blaming the stove radiator for everything, you definitely need to check:
- Coolant level in the expansion tank.
- visually, the liquid should be slightly less than half.
- Is the cooling system airtight?
- when the engine is warm, the inlet pipe should be warm (indicated by an arrow in the figure).
- The performance of the stove faucet.

- We try the pipe that brings the coolant to the tap, it should be warm (so we make sure that there is fluid circulation through the system).
- On the panel of ventilation control levers, move the upper lever all the way to the right (the heater tap is open).
- We try the pipeline that goes from the tap to the stove, just be careful not to bake your hands, the pipeline should be warm. To be sure, turn on the blower fan, after a couple of seconds after opening, warm air should come out.
If the pipeline from the tap is cold and there is no outlet for warm air, then there are 3 reasons:
- The cable that connects the control lever and the crane has broken,
- The cable is intact but rusted to the casing,
- The crane is corny "soured" and does not turn. This is a very common reason, since after driving through the warm season, and this is 5-6 months, we do not use the stove. Then we try to turn the flag to the open position with our hands, if my memory serves me, I need to turn it counterclockwise, but if there is a new tap on hand, it is better to look at the open / closed position on it. As often happens, the faucet gets so sour that the flag bends from the effort of the hand, then we remove the flag and try to twist it with pliers.
A couple more points:
- Before checking the crane, in order to save your nerves and not remember the designers of the VAZ once again, it is better to remove the shelf under the glove box.
- I want to say on my own behalf that having bought the cheapest tap, you will most likely have to change it before the first winter.
If there is fluid circulation through the system, the antifreeze level and the heater valve are normal, then we transfer our attention to the radiator, which is located in the cabin. It needs to be removed, many are afraid of this procedure and debug work on the back burner. And if, God forbid, your radiator digs a little, all the liquid collects under the rugs, which is hard to notice if you rarely do a general cleaning. What to do if the stove blows warm air

- problems with the heater start button. To identify them, you need to connect the wires directly to the battery. If the stove starts, install a new button;

If the heater of your car constantly blows cold air, despite the fact that the motor is working properly, it is necessary to check the performance of such a part as the radiator tap. It should open immediately after you start the stove to ensure proper circulation of the coolant.
If this does not happen, then the problem may lie in the system mode switch itself. Also, quite often the cable connecting the lever to the radiator tap fails. These parts are non-repairable and should be replaced if found to be defective.
Furnace turns off while driving
Another common problem is the sudden shutdown of the heater literally on the go. If you are driving at speed and the heater suddenly starts blowing cold air, the first thing to do is to check the level in the coolant system. Most often, such a breakdown occurs due to leakage of antifreeze or antifreeze caused by damage to the hose or pipe, as well as depressurization of the connections.
To fix the problem, you can either replace the pipe, or temporarily close the damaged area with electrical tape or tape - this will allow you to more or less comfortably get to the nearest car service, eliminate the leak and replenish the coolant level.
Why the VAZ-2107 stove does not heat up
And again the weather threatens with cold. For those who are not all right with the heater, the most important question was how to make the “stove” warm? First of all, we determine the cause of the malfunction. The culprit may be an underheated engine, an “airy” cooling system, or a malfunction of the heater itself. If the stove fan does not turn, the wiring is faulty. .
Often, the cause of the cold in the cabin is an underheated engine.
Signs - temperature on the index in the white zone, the engine warms up for a long time. Normal warm-up at a temperature of -20 looks like this: we start the engine, in 8-10 minutes at idle the engine should warm up to 40-50 degrees (the very beginning of the white sector of the temperature gauge scale). If the temperature rises higher, it is good, less is bad. The thermostat is defective. Further, we drive in 1-2 gears, and in 5-8 minutes the temperature rises to 80 (the border of the white and green zones). Not warmed up to 80- to replace! Temporarily, you can do with the insulation of the radiator with cardboard or something else. But do not forget that if the engine is given a load (stuck and skidding), it may boil. Therefore, the cardboard should be easily and quickly pulled out.
Air in the cooling system
First of all, we check the level of antifreeze in the expansion tank, the serviceability of the radiator cap. If the antifreeze is diluted with water, it is bad, it will harden, it must be replaced. If the radiator cap is defective, air will remain in the system, and this will lead to poor circulation and cold in the cabin. We buy and put a new plug, add antifreeze and the lack disappears.
The air lock can remain even after the repair of the cooling system. The air is removed by driving the car, with preheated to 80 gr. engine, uphill to raise the front end. Then, having removed the radiator cap, they drive the engine at 2000 - 3000 rpm for several minutes. After the air has escaped, it remains only to add antifreeze and close the radiator cap.
Next, check the correct position of the stove control levers.
Blue - controls the air supply. Red - antifreeze supply tap. They must be open (to the right as far as they will go). Sometimes the faucet turns sour. Find it under the glove compartment and check - it should open all the way, you can help with your hand, simultaneously with the lever. Just work carefully, the details are thin fragile, you can break. It is convenient to move the lever with your left hand, and turn the faucet with your right hand.

We check the operation of the air damper with the fan on. The lever to the right from the stove blows strongly, to the left - much weaker. If there is no difference, it’s bad, the cable came off, the stove will have to be removed.

The third lever controls the distribution of warm air between the windshield and side windows. The cable that leads to it (21) controls three shutters - (20) two of them open and close the air supply to the side windows. The third damper is not visible in the figure; it is located here (22) and can block the air outlet to the windshield. Position of the lever: to the right - blows on the windshield, to the left - blows on the side windows. Why does it blow badly on the left side?
1. The fan at the stove is designed in such a way that it wraps warm air to the right side, and less gets to the left side. This is a design feature and it is difficult to change something.
2. The stove was dismantled and the air duct (4) or the left damper was damaged.
3. You open the lower flap completely with the handle (1), or the lock is broken. For normal glass blowing, this damper must be covered. If the latch is broken, you can adjust the elastic by hooking it on the "suction" handle, or somewhere else.
Some craftsmen put an additional fan from the computer processor in the deflector (4) of the pipe. You can buy and put a fan on the dashboard with a connection to the cigarette lighter, direct it to the side glass and set the speed to a lower one.
Another reason is the poor circulation of antifreeze through the stove.
We check the circulation as follows: the engine is warmed up to 80, at idle we bring our hand to the exit from the stove (at the right foot of the driver) we give gas and keep the speed at 2500. If you feel that the air has become noticeably warmer, you have poor circulation through the stove. Causes:
- a clogged stove radiator, if the car is old and you poured “sealants”, mustard and other muck into the radiator;
- there is a non-standard stove valve (ball, ceramic), which has channels of reduced diameter, or does not open completely. There are defective taps. It can block the circulation so that the antifreeze flows in a thin stream. After replacing with a native faucet, the heat will return.
More precisely, we check the circulation as follows: at idle, on a barely warm engine (20-30 degrees), we remove the upper rubber pipe at the outlet of the stove (under the hood) and substitute some dishes. The jet should be sufficiently thick and even. A thin trickle, barely running, we remove and check the faucet first, and then (if the faucet is in order) the radiator. You can try to rinse a clogged radiator with hot water (into the hole where the tube is), sometimes this helps.
It happens that when assembling the stove, the radiator was poorly sealed
cold air gets past it and it's cold in the cabin. You will have to disassemble the stove and carefully compact everything.

Consider a common problem in the classic VAZ 2107 2105 2106. The stove does not heat, it does not heat well, it makes noise during operation. Fix it by gluing it? a sealant in a circle (you can use the usual one for doors and windows, which is sold in a hardware store). This action solves two problems, the stove now does not make noise and at the same time it starts to heat up better. As the gaps through which the air escaped are closed. As you know, the air comes out, where the resistance is less and before gluing, most of it came out through the slots, the smaller part through the radiator cells. As a result, in the cabin in cold weather it is quite cool and not comfortable.
When disassembling, also pay attention to the general condition of the stove radiator, if necessary, clean its honeycombs.
