There will be no diesel in Europe, although the global range already has a modification with a 1.6 engine (160 hp) and a nine-speed ZF automatic (it is sold in Asian markets). But a little later it will appear with the installation of i-MMD, already known from the American brand cars. Under the hood is 150-horsepower Gas engine 2.0 operating on the Atkinson economy cycle. At a low speed, it is not connected to the wheels, but only rotates the generator, which charges the traction battery. The crossover is driven by an electric motor, but when accelerating, the internal combustion engine is connected directly to the front drive wheels using a clutch.
