How to choose car seat covers. Are faux leather and faux leather the same thing? Rating of covers by material of manufacture

26.04.2019

Something like clothes for you vehicle, it is they who form the attitude, demonstrate the status and in a certain way characterize their owner. In addition to providing aesthetics and comfort, covers for car seats affect the safety of your driving, which is important when long journeys. Of course, on modern market there is an unprecedented number of options, a wide variety of colors and designs, from budget to luxury, for every taste and every pocket. In addition, the purchase of covers is a good help for the proper condition of car seats, which is critical at the high cost of the car. In the vast majority of cases, installation and dismantling can be done on your own, without the help of service centers. So, how to choose car seat covers, let's consider this process in more detail.

Types of car seats

Seat covers will not only emphasize your individuality, but also extend the life of the seats themselves.

Before deciding how to choose car seat covers, you need to understand that their type, dimensions and shape will vary based on the model of the car itself, the brand and design of the seats. When choosing covers, before buying, carefully inspect the interior, seats, think about what color scheme and in what style you would like to see your new covers. The seats and the covers themselves can form one whole or represent several complementary elements. There are also quite a few types of car seats, there are split seats and bucket seats for sports cars, seats with headrests and armrests, reclining backrests, rear seats, seats with a swivel caster. These factors play a big role, and taking them into account will allow you to make an informed and considered decision.

Material

Before buying should be their manufacture. The determining factors here will be: texture, workmanship, as well as the response of the material to temperature fluctuations, especially extreme heat and extreme cold. Not sure what material is best for car covers? Then we will understand the main components and materials used for the production of covers more thoroughly:

Fur is an unusually warm material, available in natural and artificial varieties. Synthetic fur is in no way inferior to natural analogues, it is made from acrylic fibers dyed in the most daring colors. If you decide to choose this material, the interior of your car will take on a plush "home" look, which will definitely appeal to women and children. The disadvantages that require attention can only be attributed to lack of practicality and relatively rapid wear.

Leather. It can be either natural or synthetic. Faux leather is made from compounds of polyester, cotton, and also natural leather. The covers are cut in such a way as to fit closely to the seats themselves, they are resistant to UV radiation, which allows them not to heat up even with significant increases in air temperature. After prolonged use, the material acquires a softer structure.

Sheepskin is a luxury option, soft, luxurious and exclusive models will be to the taste of motorists for whom a car is not just a means of transportation. Recommended only as a winter option, in summer it will be a little hot.

Suede is an artificial leather made from either polyester or nylon, supplemented with microfibers.

Velvet is a material that is resistant to tearing and damage.

Velor is a soft, resilient material made from cotton, polyester, and spandex. Sufficiently practical and easy to use material, ideal for connecting the components of covers without the use of seams.

Vinyl is an artificial material with a smooth surface, produced from a copolymer. resistant to moisture and dirt. Perfect for those who value low operating costs and reliability.

The quality of the material used for the production of car seat covers directly affects the aesthetic characteristics appearance salon. Making a choice between "top" and budget options in the end, it still falls on the shoulders of the motorist. More spectacular models are more durable and attractive, and budget artificial counterparts will save you money.

Choosing a picture color

The color and style of the upholstery of the covers is entirely determined by your personal preferences. It would be wise to just give a couple practical advice. Bright and exotic patterns, for example, lead to fatigue much faster than monochromatic versions of soothing shades. So how to choose car covers by color? If the amount of money you plan to spend is large enough, you can choose cases with prints in the form of military camouflage, leopard skin, superheroes, licensed brands or the symbols of your favorite rally team. A traditional look is created by choosing neutral tones, beige or gray. Car covers in shades of white or cream get dirty quite quickly, so count on constant cleaning, which, if high quality material at home will be difficult to produce. Saturated colors are also gaining popularity, such as black and brown, especially when combined with yellow and green hues. In general, the flight of your imagination can only be limited by the fact that non-traditional colors do not always match the paint of the car itself, and a bright flashy shade can soon become annoying.

Selecting the type of sewing covers

As noted above, covers, among other things, increase the wear resistance of car covers. The first option is tailoring. Expensive, long, but very high quality and perfectly compatible with all shapes and sizes of seats. The second option is model covers, they are selected for. Prices for such models are more affordable, however, the choice of colors and modifications is significantly limited. And finally, the third option - universal cases. They are quite cheap, the choice of colors and variations is huge. Of the difficulties, problems with installation and the need to take into account the dimensions, the presence of slots, armrests and headrests can be noted.

Choice of covers: step by step

So, summing up, we summarize the process of selecting car covers.

  1. Take measurements of your seats. It is especially critical if the option you choose refers to universal cases. The key parameters here will be: back height, bottom cushion length and width. In the prevailing number of cases, these dimensions are indicated on the packaging of the covers.
  2. Next, you need to decide on the modification, colors and pattern. Keep in mind the style, try to match the appearance of the car and your preferences as much as possible.
  3. Select a seller. You can buy car seat covers both in retail chains and online stores. In the latter there is no opportunity to “feel” the goods, but a much wider range is presented. Read reviews about stores, make sure that the selected seller is decent, and the quality of the goods is up to standard.

So what's the bottom line?

The technological and functional state of many elements directly affects the safety and comfort of your car. Covers for car seats in this list are far from last. At correct selection, the replacement procedure will not only increase the level of comfort, but also give new life the usual look of the salon. This purchase will be the simplest investment that can significantly affect the life of your car.

Car seat covers can be easily attributed to the necessary accessories. After all, for a car, covers are something like clothing. With the help of them you can save, give a sophisticated look and completely change. So, let's make a rating of cases. There are several rating options here:

  1. By design;
  2. According to the material of manufacture.

Rating of covers by design popularity

First place - T-shirt covers

Here, of course, T-shirt covers are in the lead. Seat covers, quick to put on and take off. That's why they deserve such popularity. They are made from cotton jersey, so they are soft, comfortable, absorb moisture and do not electrify, besides, they have convenient pockets and big choice colors. But these models are short-lived. Of course, there are T-shirt covers made of dense automotive fabric with elastic bands, they are more durable, but do not completely cover the seats. The corners remain open, namely, they are rubbed very hard when boarding and disembarking passengers.

Video on how to properly put on T-shirt covers:

Second place - model cases

These covers are designed specifically for a particular car with its modifications. Often do not have a wide range of colors. They are difficult to install (it is better to use the help of professionals), but they really repeat all the forms of the seat, like a constriction. You can order them, for example, Automotive studio B&M. Prices for such covers vary between 4000 - 7500 rubles, and average 5000 rubles.

Third place - universal covers

These are ready-made kits, for simple-shaped seats, possibly folding, but often it is very difficult to fit them under right size or profile. You will have to work hard on them or even change something. Although their advantage is a large selection of colors.

And now let's continue

It is very important covers for the car, which in the first place will fit in size. It is best in this case to take good, model covers that will fit almost perfectly on your seats. Another important point consists of what material the car covers are made of, because our skin (especially in summer) is in very close contact with the material of the covers. Now we will consider the quality of cases together, because this is a very important point.

Rating of covers by material of manufacture

First place - Alcantara covers

Alcantara - artificial suede. Such covers are gentle, soft, warm at any time of the year and quite durable. Alcantara is not prone to rubbing and looks great in the cabin. The only downside is the higher price. But given the wear resistance of the covers, it will certainly pay off. These covers are not sold in any store. But you can make them to order.

Alcantara is a material from which car covers can be made.

Second place - velor covers

Slightly fleecy, pleasant to the touch, they are quite warm in winter, and do not heat up in summer. Have acceptable price, in the universal version, but in model version(where the quality is much higher) the cost is from 4000 rubles. They do not burn and are easy to wash in the machine, in a delicate mode (with slight contamination). The disadvantage is the knocking down of the pile, and early wear is possible. However, with proper care, they will last a long time.

Third place - leather and fur

Not very expensive (within 5400-6000 rubles), but they look beautiful, stylish and expensive, while it is easy to remove dirt from them with a damp cloth. Certainly, leather seats require wiping with impregnations and careful handling, because they are easy to scratch. The main disadvantage leather cover is that in winter it is. In order not to get sick, it is better not to sit on such seats without initial warming up; if necessary, it is better to cover the seat with something. Although the seats can be made in the central part of automotive velor. You can also fix this with fur covers. In winter, in the bitter cold, fur case on the seat overshadows all of the above with its warmth, whether it be artificial or natural fur. The current fur covers (natural ones) are carefully dressed, so they should not leave wool on clothes. However, they will cost a lot and you need to clean them in dry cleaning. Faux fur is cheaper and you can simply shake it out of the dust yourself or, if necessary, wash and comb it. Better to use fur capes for leather seats, approximate price (then 900 rubles / 1 piece and from 3000 rubles / set)

Fourth place - polyester cases

This fabric is smooth and pleasant to the body. It is created by chemical means and therefore it is simply erased, dries easily, does not shrink, does not stretch and does not wrinkle, in a word it is unpretentious. However, in the heat, sitting on such covers is unpleasant (especially without air conditioning), as they do not absorb moisture.

important for a car appearance, but no less important is interior decoration salon. Car seat covers are designed to protect against dirt and wear from permanent use. In addition, they can unrecognizably change the interior of the car. Add aesthetics and beauty, give new look boring standard salon.

The market offers something for every taste and pocket of the buyer. Of the additional car accessories that car enthusiasts purchase, car seat covers occupy the first place. But how to choose covers for the car, so that they are durable and high-quality and at the same time inexpensive? Let's dwell on this in more detail.

Types of car seat covers

Car covers can be classified into four types. The first are model, made for a specific model of the machine. They perfectly fit the seat, taking into account the shape of the lateral support and the headrest.

The anatomy of universal covers is designed to fit on the seats different cars. They, of course, will not be as comfortable as the first option, but they are the most common on sale, and their price is lower due to mass production.

Capes - "T-shirts" cover only the most worn parts of the seats - the bottom and back. The rest of the space is left open.

One of the varieties of car seat covers are seat covers. Here the choice is quite wide: massage, heated, from animal fur, against pollution - for hunters and fishermen, and many others.

Seat Cover Materials

One of the most popular materials for cases is faux leather. Products from it are durable, reliable and practical. High-quality leatherette is practically indistinguishable from a natural analogue by eye. At the same time, it has all the qualities inherent in the skin: it is perfectly washed and cleaned, it passes air and does not contain harmful substances.

Genuine leather is unrivaled. The reasons for its popularity are its natural origin, high wear resistance, elasticity and pleasant to the touch texture, durability and prestige. The only negative is the price, moreover, from quite moderate to exorbitant.

Car seat covers made from auto velor have long been a classic. They are inexpensive, original design and look good in the car. The advantages of velor include: strength, low maintenance requirements, simple cleaning, large selection of colors.

Covers are completely sewn from auto fabric or inserts are made. It is a specially engineered material designed for intensive use. Differs in big service life, without losing at the same time beautiful appearance.

Custom car seat covers

In addition to purchasing ready-made options protection against pollution in specialized stores, you can still sew capes to order. This method of completing the car interior has its advantages. Cases to order more expensive pleasure, but it's worth it.

Firstly, the material can be chosen based on your preferences, combining several types of fabric and leather. Then you get products with different textures and colors, pleasant in appearance and to the touch.

Secondly, with the help of a specialist, you can make your own design of covers - the most suitable for the driver, taking into account his anatomical features.

Third, although car seat covers individual tailoring and more expensive than mass production, they are much cheaper than branded designer products, and can be no worse in quality. Leather seat covers are considered the most expensive tailoring option.

And fourth, the ordered accessory will be sewn only in a single exclusive copy.

When choosing car seat covers, whether it's a store-bought model or a custom-made one, it's important to take into account several parameters that play a big role in the convenience of daily use and the durability of the product. They must be strong. The threads used to sew car seat covers must be processed special composition. You need to buy products with the ability to adjust.

Fixtures for fasteners must be reliable so that later the covers do not come off and do not move out. The material of the product must be selected based on easy cleaning and easy maintenance. In addition, experts recommend having two sets of capes - for summer and for winter. For the summer, products made from natural and light fabrics are suitable, and for the cold season, warm and dense materials are preferable.

Many inexperienced drivers, given the modern fabrics used for seat upholstery, may consider car seat covers an unnecessary anachronism. But the very first trip with friends for a picnic, small children and parents, amateur gardeners and field farmers, will soon change their minds to the opposite.

How to choose the right car covers for your car? video

Congratulations! Now you will read not about the fact that our store has the best and highest quality cases in the world, but about how to choose them objectively and consciously from any seller. In this article, we will try to explain in the most detailed and reliable way the points that you should pay attention to when choosing car covers. It's just a matter of choosing quality cases, advantages and disadvantages of some materials relative to others, read the article "Choice of material for car covers"

Eat 6 main criteria when choosing, we will consider each of them in order:

1. Universal or "model" (for your car model)?

If you want universal ones, take the cheapest ones and that's it. Buying such cases is money thrown to the wind, so it is better to throw away as little as possible. If you want model, go to the second paragraph.

2. Are there patterns for my car model?

You need to ask this question to the seller. In this case, you need to name the make of the car, model, year of manufacture, sedan / hatchback or station wagon, whether there is a rear armrest, the backrest of the rear row of seats is separate or solid, how many head restraints (active / inactive), etc. distinctive features car models. If the seller says yes, then the conversation continues accordingly.

3. The material from which car covers are made.

a) eco-leather.

Material thickness. It must be at least 1 mm. Eco-leather consists of a layer of polyurethane foam with an outer film coating. All this is applied to the fabric base. (see fig.). So, all together it should have a minimum thickness of 1mm (the more, the better).

Now the most interesting thing is that you will not be able to distinguish eco-leather with a thickness of 0.8 mm from eco-leather with a thickness of 1.1 mm, even if you hold a piece of material in one hand and a ruler in the other.

In this case, a piece of eco-leather from Autopilot covers (just 1.05-1.15 mm) can serve as a guideline. If there is such a piece, you need to fold it in half in a place where there is no foam rubber and by touch compare the thickness with leather of unknown origin.

  • If there is no eco-leather sample from Autopilot, we perform the following test:

We place the material to be tested on a flat hard surface (for example, a table), take a plastic cap from a ballpoint pen and try to scratch the eco-leather with the tip of the cap.

If we apply a force equal to or slightly more than that with which we erase the protective coating from a lottery ticket or something similar and at the same time we fail to break the outer layer of eco-leather, the material is suitable for use. Yes, if you scratched eco-leather with a nail, this is not a reason to think about its quality) Loads must meet the requirements for eco-leather.

  • Another criterion is the density of the woven base of eco-leather. The denser this base, the closer to each other the weaving threads, the thicker these threads - the more resistant the eco-leather to mechanical influences(tear, stretch, etc.) Photo 1 (correct base).

  • Another point is perforation. Perforated leather - leather with through holes (usually round), made at a certain distance from each other. So, the holes should be even, through, the same size, at the same distance between them. There should be no unremoved particles of material from the resulting holes. Photo 2

Now about eco-leather brands. If the covers cost about 6,000 rubles, then you need to forget about such names as Hortica, Automotive, etc. (The material itself is more expensive than covers at least two times). Most often, car covers sellers proudly declare that their products are made of eco-leather "Aregon", "Arigon", "Oregon", "Oregon", etc. These names with a probability of 99.99% are an empty phrase. The manufacturer of car covers "Autopilot" declares the name of the eco-leather "Arigon", and since. "Autopilot" has proven itself very well, other manufacturers are happy to say that their covers are made of eco-leather "Aregon", "Arigon", "Oregon", "Oregon". So do not worry about the names and check the quality of eco-leather with the "folk" methods described above.

Tip - if the seller of auto covers says that: "The eco-leather from which the covers are made uses particles of genuine leather" - think about it! Either the seller is being disingenuous, to put it mildly, or he is mentally ill. There is a type of leather made from shredded natural leather waste, but this is not the case.

Eco leather does not smell! Even if it is seriously heated.

Should be soft to the touch.

The texture of eco-leather should be clearly visible - a sign of thickness. The less textured eco-leather, the indirectly thinner.

Here is an example.

As you can see in the photo Automotive and Hortica have a much more pronounced texture than Oregon (1.1mm). This is not so much about the fact that Automotive and Hortica are thicker than Oregon (1.1mm). This is a sign that the thickness protective film coating more for Automotive and Hortica than the entire polyurethane foam layer. The thickness of this coating and its wear resistance is the wear resistance of covers. It is this coating that indulges in texture. The thicker the coating, the more pronounced the texture. The Oregon is 1.1mm thick in the photo. This is a sufficient thickness for covers, if less - the covers will crack in a couple of months (or earlier). Accordingly, an Oregon with a thickness of less than 1.1 mm will have an even less pronounced texture than an Oregon in the photo.

b) Alcantara.

Alcantara is a material that visually and to the touch resembles suede. Again, if the covers are in the region of 6000 rubles. and the seller of the covers says that they were used in their manufacture original alcantara- he shamelessly lies, or is also cruelly mistaken (1 sq.m of the original Alcantara costs about 70 euros, such sq.m. for the middle parts of the covers you need at least 4x, then simple mathematical calculations and conclusion ...)

So faux alcantara must be selected as follows:

  • This material should have a fine-haired surface (pile length about 0.5 mm).
  • The density of the pile should be such that the woven basis of this material is not visible.
  • There should be no shine. The color should be matte, otherwise the cases will look “cheap”.
  • If you direct the pile in one direction, it will have one shade, if in the other - a little lighter or darker. Someone likes this feature of the material, someone does not, but it is its integral property.

If all these criteria are met, the material will be similar to the original Alcantara and will look decent. Photo 3 (a good substitute looks like this).

c) cloth.

Most often used crepe or jacquard. The fabric should be dense, thick enough to carry loads and not clog with dirt. The fabric should not shine - a sign of using cheap synthetics. If this is automotive velour, the same thing - the pile needs to be dense, frequent. To the touch, it should not be too soft, “velvet” - otherwise it will quickly become dirty, “salting”. A good option- American Velours.

4. The quality of the fasteners.

front seats. Most often, on the “seats” of the front seats themselves, a scheme is used: elastic bands around the perimeter with sewn-in hooks (or hooks separately in a bag) + a tight cord sewn around the perimeter. Photo 4,5,6

Rubber bands should naturally be strong and well sewn. The cord must be strong and not frayed.

It is better when the hooks are sewn into elastic bands and have a certain shape. Photo 7

For convenience, we will call them "Euro hooks". This makes it easier to install covers.

There are also S-shaped hooks, lying separately in the package. This is not critical, the fastening is no less reliable, but much less convenient during installation (you need to get the hooks, thread them into elastic bands, squeeze them with pliers, and so about 20-25 times ...).

"Slings" are also sometimes used. At the same time, the fastening of the cover is less uniform and accurate, but strong enough. Photo 8

The backs of the front seats must be fastened either with a textile lock (Velcro) - it must be wide (5 cm), or with rubber bands with hooks (on different models vehicles differently). Photo 9

Some manufacturers sew a foam roller to the bottom of the front seat back cover. It is understood that by passing this roller into the space between the "seat" and the back of the front seat, you can fix the cover ... No! You can't!

Rear sofa. As a rule, these are elastic bands with hooks + tight cord. Perhaps additionally wide loops from the same eco-leather around the perimeter. Photo 10

A cord is subsequently threaded through these loops for additional fixation.

Rear backs.

Firstly, the individual parts of the backrest should be put into separate covers, and not into one whole cover, which must be unzipped with a zipper sewn into it to fold the backrest. Photo 11 (as it should be).

If the backrest is separate, but puts on in one integral cover, you will think 10 times whether it is necessary to lay out the backrest, because. this process in such cases will piss you off more and more each time. Photo 11.1

The use of zippers when unfolding the rear armrest does not cause any particular inconvenience, so many manufacturers use this scheme. Photo 12

Secondly rear end the backs should also be covered with a cover. Photo 13

Some covers on the backs of the rear row of seats at the back (view from the trunk) are tied with ropes, rubber bands and other magic ... 1) It looks disgusting. 2) Everything that is in the trunk will touch these ropes and elastic bands. Here is a photo

All technological holes(for head restraint clips, adjustment knobs, belt holders, seat folding mechanisms) must be made by the manufacturer and reinforced with seams.

It is allowed to make some holes directly during the installation of the covers, but this should be done by a person with the skills of such manipulations, but if the covers are installed independently, there is a risk of damage to the covers.

5. The quality of tailoring and fitting patterns.

See photos of installed covers on the website or in the paper catalog. Preferably for your car model. If there is no photo for your model, evaluate the level of tailoring according to the photo of other car models. On the covers there should be no folds, waves, voids, the anatomy of the seats should be readable.

Photo 14.15 (no folds, all surfaces are even - this is how well-tailored covers should look)

If the seller of covers says that the covers are sewn according to the patterns of automakers and at the same time the cut of the covers does not repeat the cut of the native upholstery - he is lying, or does not understand what he is talking about.

Eat two main types of models covers(consider the example of Kia Rio from 2011):

1st view. Tailored to the SIZE of the seats of a specific car model, and at the same time it is quite possible that they will sit really very well. An example of such covers is "Autopilot", "Avtofront". The cut does not repeat the cut of the native upholstery, it repeats the external and some inner dimensions seats and therefore autocovers sit well and fit exactly to the desired car model.

At the same time, the seller can say that after installing such covers, the interior cannot be distinguished from the altered one. YES! If you do not look at this salon. And if you take a sober look at things, then it will be a salon with well-tailored and well-installed covers.

Photo 14.15 (covers sewn according to the SIZES of a specific car model)

2nd view. Sewn according to LECAL seats of a specific car model. These car covers exactly repeat the pattern of the native upholstery of a certain car model. An example of such covers in our store are "Lite constriction" and "Case with drawstrings". These covers are more detailed and worked out, which, in combination with the original fastening system, gives the full effect of the interior upholstery. Photo 16.17 (covers sewn according to the LECAL of the interior of a specific car model)

6. Price.

  • High-quality eco-leather car covers today (March 17, 2015) do not cost less than 6,000 rubles. (very rare, 5700 - 5800 - but these are promotions, sales, discounts, etc.).

This price is determined by the price of material, accessories, production cost and other factors affecting pricing.

If you intend to buy eco-leather covers for 4000-5000 rubles. - think, it would not be better to spend this money on something good ...

  • Covers made of high-quality automotive fabric also do not cost less than 5000-6000 rubles.

DO NOT FORGET about the airbag burst seams in the seats, if your vehicle is equipped with side airbags. These seams must be made from “weakened” (non-reinforced) threads, or a technological window must be made.

Summing up all of the above, I would like to note that it is advisable to choose car covers, as well as most goods, as a combination of quality characteristics and their price expression. Cases made of eco-leather are far from the same depending on the manufacturer and the choice should be taken responsibly. Well, the selection tools, we hope, we prompted you and the article will be useful.

Thanks, good vibes!

How to choose the right car covers

First of all, be interested in the functionality of covers (this quality is important to consider when choosing a car navigator):

  • they must have cuts for airbags so that these protective devices deploy and protect passengers in the event of an accident;
  • check for cuts under the headrests and armrests. Without them, pulling the seat cover will not work;
  • it’s good if there is a soft foam lining - it’s much more comfortable to sit for both the car driver and passengers. In addition, such a layer absorbs moisture and promotes air circulation;
  • dense edging (made of leather) on the sides of the covers will be useful, this will extend their service life;

  • lateral and lumbar supports will not let your back get tired even in case of a long stay on the road;
  • All sorts of things that may be needed in the cabin need to be stored somewhere. Therefore, choose covers with pockets on the back of the front seats. It is convenient to place magazines, pens, notepads, napkins, water bottles there;
  • it is good when the threads of the covers have a special impregnation to prevent contamination of the seams.

What material is better to choose

There are many requirements for the material: strength, wear resistance, ease of cleaning, safety, hygiene, attractive appearance.

High-quality covers are made from certified fabrics (tapestry, velor) or eco-leather.

eco-leather (environmental material, a kind of imitation leather) appealed to many car owners.

One is durable, strong, elastic, able to pass air and water vapor, therefore it has no smell, no " Greenhouse effect". Resistant to temperature extremes, ultraviolet, hypoallergenic.

Eco-leather covers can be used if you have heated seats.

In appearance it is not inferior to natural leather, but much more affordable.

Velours - Another popular material from which covers are sewn to protect car seats.

It is pleasant to the touch, prevents slipping, which is quite important for those who are behind the wheel. Velor does not stick to the body in the heat, does not heat up, and in winter it is not too cold.

Looks attractive enough. And the price doesn't bite at all.

The disadvantages include the need for regular cleaning from dust and animal hair, low wear resistance.

Covers made of artificial velor are strongly electrified, causing discomfort.

Alcantara (artificial suede) - the material is soft, warm, beautiful. More durable than velor and will last longer. But the cost of such covers is much higher than velor ones.

Fur - great option when the cold season comes. The material is soft, comfortable, warms well, does not cool down in frost, does not slip.

Fur covers are treated with materials that give strength. But still, they are not particularly durable.

Washing them, of course, is more difficult, it is better to give it to dry cleaning. But it's quite costly.

Leather - expensive, let's say, status material. It looks solid, even chic.

Colors can be combined. In leaving such covers are simple - they are easy to clean and wash.

But leather cases more strongly stretched and wiped. And if the skin is smooth, then it does not breathe (only perforated skin has this property).

Auto fabrics (jacquard and tapestry) - quite popular materials for the manufacture of covers.

They are environmentally friendly, strong, durable, dust and water repellent, fireproof.

When producing tapestry, stronger threads are used than in jacquard.

The color palette of these materials is quite restrained, you can hardly find bright colors.

Auto fabrics cannot be called cheap material.

car covers care

Any item needs proper care. How to follow car covers, can be found on the packaging of the product or in the attached instructions. Follow the recommendations - and the covers will last you much longer.

It is better to wash car fabric covers by hand or using a delicate mode (without wringing), and in order not to sit down, they are put on the seats slightly damp.

Washing is not used if the fabric has a foam layer, otherwise you can ruin the cover.

The skin is cleaned with a damp cloth, sponge, special polishes. The possibility of using stain removers is indicated in the instructions for a specific type of leather.

Eco-leather is cared for as carefully and carefully as natural leather. Periodically apply protective impregnations.

High-quality covers are best entrusted to dry cleaning, so their complex processing will be carried out.

Tapestry covers are well cleaned with a brush (sponge) and soapy water.

It is not bad to clean the fur in this way: mix one glass of semolina and starch each, pour the mixture onto the cover, then knock it out, you can clean it with a vacuum cleaner.

Special cleaning aerosols are used without removing the covers from the seats. So dirt, dust, various stains are removed.

Where is it safer and more profitable to buy a case

One of the selection criteria is the benefit of the purchase, which is quite reasonable, as well as the desire to reduce fuel consumption.

There are several options for purchasing car seat covers.

The traditional option is a car dealership. In reputable salons, the choice is wide, and you will receive expert advice, and they will give a guarantee of quality. And most importantly, you will see everything yourself, feel it and decide which model suits you.

Now many people prefer to order goods through online stores. What do virtual sellers promise? Large assortment, free consultation, fast ordering, comfortable shapes payment, low prices, shipping.

But in practice, it is possible to get not quite what is promised. Sergey N. ordered covers in the online store. He was promised to take into account the design features of the seats of his car. As a result, I got the usual universal model that requires fitting and alteration.

Victor S. shares his experience - it's better to first look for covers in a store or in a car market, and only then look for a model you like in an online store, taking into account price offers. And choose the best one.
