You can smear its rubber bands on top and bottom with machine oil to prevent air leaks between the cover and the filter. We dress the cover, snap the latches, put in place and tighten the nut. Congratulations, you have changed the VAZ 2109 air filter.

- Check the assembly for tightness.
- Replace the negative terminal of the battery, close the hood and turn on the ignition.
- Make sure your injection engine is working.
Carburetor replacement
If you are lucky enough to become the owner of a VAZ 2109 car with a carburetor engine, the procedure for replacing the fuel filter here will be a little different.
The instruction looks like this:
- Loosen the mounting clamp on the engine side;

Before returning the negative to the battery and starting the engine, make sure that there are no signs of gasoline leakage anywhere, it has not accidentally spilled from the hoses onto the power unit, the floor. The slightest spark and high temperature can provoke a fire, and after it more sad consequences.
