Felicia fell in love with both the Czechs themselves and their former brothers in the socialist camp, because a relatively inexpensive machine looked good and was very reliable. The success of the first, albeit “transitional” model of the post-socialist period only confirmed the Germans in the correctness of their decision.

Of course, the Germans did not increase their share of ownership in the Czech enterprise in order to produce the Felicia model and similar cars with a “socialist heritage”.
