Renault Megane was originally conceived as a small family car of the “C” segment. It appeared on our market back in the nineties, and has since changed several generations. The most iconic of these was the Renault Megane II, which became a five-door. Now only the third modification of the Renault Megane III hatchback is supplied to the Russian market.
Let's look at the technical characteristics of the car and where Renault Megane is assembled for our consumer.
Foreign factories that make Renault Megane
Until recently, the Renault Megane hatchback was assembled at only three factories. They were in France, Turkey and Spain. As you know, the most powerful enterprise is located in the city of Douai in France. But, these models did not enter our market. The second in terms of build quality is the plant in Valencia, in Spain. From there we also saw a few lots. For our consumer, mainly Turkish assemblers worked.
Throughout the year, the car was assembled in Russia, but our production “did not reach” European standards. Therefore, it was stopped.
Last year, Renault Megane began to be assembled in Russia at the Avtoframos Moscow plant.
The localization of production in the domestic market did not affect the cost of the model.
As the representative of the company said, this only reduced the time for deliveries of finished cars to dealerships across the country.
This fixing of the cost is connected with the fact that from the very beginning it was planned to assemble the hatchback from us. Thus, the cost for it was made affordable and acceptable for the Russian consumer from the very beginning.
We are assembling a model with a 1.6-liter engine. It works with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. The car with a two-liter unit will be delivered to us from Turkey, as before.
Options Renault Megane
Russian consumers will see the Renault Megane hatchback of our assembly in six trim levels. The working volume of the engine is 1.6 liters. The cost of the model for the basic configuration starts from 569 thousand rubles. The maximum price is set at 784 thousand rubles. The calculation of the delivery of the car to the dealer's showroom is carried out separately.
Two-liter Renault Megane will also be available to customers. But, they are collected only in Turkey. These cars are made in two trim levels.
What Renault Megane of our assembly looks like
The Russian version of Renault Megane will be eight centimeters longer than its European brother. Its trunk has been increased to 75 liters, but the overall weight of the model has decreased by eight kilograms. The wheelbase of the model is 2641 millimeters.
Engineers have improved visibility from the driver's seat. This was achieved by drowning the corner of the front glass. The rear window is small at first glance, but it has good visibility.
In technical terms, the European and Russian versions practically do not differ from each other. Here the suspension design and gearbox have been preserved.
It is noted that this car has become safer, and its design is so good that it will satisfy the needs of any consumer. Is it so?
In terms of appearance, the car received a modified grille and an improved shape of the headlights. The sporty curves of the body are the same for both ours and the European version. Inside, the car will delight with rich interior trim and a very attractive dashboard design.
The driving performance of our sedan is in no way inferior to its European counterpart. Just like the dynamics of acceleration. You won't have to complain about comfort either. Of course, the car will be better to drive on smooth asphalt than off-road. But, some holes are not a hindrance for him.
Pleasantly pleased with the color scheme of the model. Some colors are available only to our consumer. For example, "blue mineral" or "gray plate". Therefore, be sure that where the Renault Megane is assembled does not affect its technical characteristics in any way. The Russian layout is in no way inferior to the European counterpart.
Renault Megane 2 generation was produced in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 with hatchback, sedan, station wagon bodies. Renault Megane 2003 - 2008, generation II
The Megane II is the second generation of Renault's small family golf car. The model got its name from a concept car shown back in 1988. The first generation was intended to replace the Renault 19 in 1995. The car was in many ways similar to the previous model, but it was made in a new corporate style. In 1999, the car underwent a slight facelift, which resulted in a significant increase in safety performance. The Renault Megane II model was born in 2002. Then the manufacturer subjected the car to another facelift, starting the production of Megane II Phase 2 models. The Renault Megane Coupe has been in production since 1998. The car is a classic French coupe with all its characteristic features - a low landing, a wide hood, smooth body lines. In addition, the sports version of the coupe is designed for only four passengers, while the original car can accommodate up to five people. The premiere of the updated Renault Megane Coupe took place at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2009. For the Russian market, the model was introduced in December 2009. Removal and replacement process
So let's get started:
- First, open the hood and disconnect the battery terminals. If this is not done, the dismantling of the PSU can have sad consequences for the car.
- You will see a PSU located on the right side in the engine compartment. You need to unscrew the screws securing the battery and remove it. Also unscrew the PSU cover. All bolts that need to be unscrewed are indicated in red in the photo.
- Using a wrench to "10", unscrew the nut and remove the clamp with a bundle of wires.
- Now you need to unscrew the fastening screws directly to the PSU.
- Having done this, the device can be dismantled.
