1. General Provisions

1. This job description defines the functional duties, rights and responsibilities of a car mechanic.

2. A person with a secondary education and appropriate training in the specialty is appointed to the position of a car repairman.

3. A car repairman must know the basic techniques for disassembling individual simple components; the purpose and rules for the use of the locksmith and measuring instruments used; name and marking of metals, oils, fuel, brake fluid, detergent compositions; basic information about the structure of cars and motorcycles; assembly order of nodes; techniques and methods for cutting, splicing, insulating and soldering electrical wires; main types of electrical and insulating materials, their properties and purpose; ways of performing fastening work and the volumes of the first and second Maintenance; purpose and rules for the use of the most common universal and special devices and instrumentation; main mechanical properties processed materials; appointment and use of cooling and brake fluids, oils and fuels; rules for the use of pneumatic and power tools; system of admissions and landings; quality and roughness parameters; fundamentals of electrical engineering and metal technology in the scope of the work performed.

4. A car repair mechanic is appointed to the position and dismissed by order of the head of the institution in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.

5. A car repair mechanic reports directly to the deputy head of the AChE or the head of the motor transport unit (garage).

2. Job responsibilities

3. Rights

A car repairman enjoys all labor rights in accordance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

4. Responsibility

The Automotive Technician is responsible for:

1. timely and high-quality implementation of the duties assigned to him;

2. organization of their work, timely and qualified execution of orders, instructions and instructions of the management, regulatory legal acts on their activities;

Labor protection instructions for a car repairman were prepared on the basis of SP 12-135-2003 “Labor safety in construction. 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LABOR PROTECTION

1.1. When disassembling machines and equipment, they should be lifted (hung out), as well as removed, moved and installed heavy (weighing more than 20 kg) and bulky components and parts using lifting vehicles, devices and devices of appropriate carrying capacity.
1.2. The production of repair work should be organized in accordance with the requirements of the documentation of the machine manufacturer and technological maps developed for certain groups of vehicles, which should reflect special labor safety requirements when carrying out repair work and safe work practices when performing certain repair operations.
1.3. Locksmiths must be provided with the necessary set of serviceable tools and devices corresponding to the nature of the work performed.
1.4. Hand tools must meet the following requirements:
- hammers and sledgehammers must be mounted on the handles at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the tool and securely fastened by wedging with metal wedges; handles must be made of hard and tough wood (mountain ash, maple, elm, oak) and have an oval and smooth surface; the length of the hammer handle should not be less than 300 mm, sledgehammer 450-900 mm, depending on the weight of the tool;
- butt plates and strikers of percussion instruments (chisels, crosscuts, barbs, cores, hammers, sledgehammers, etc.) should have a slightly convex, smooth, not oblique or knocked down surface, without burrs, potholes, cracks and rivets;
- tools with pointed ends (shanks) for fitting handles (files, hacksaws, awls, screwdrivers, etc.) must have firmly reinforced wooden or plastic handles; the length of the handle must correspond to the dimensions of the tool, but be at least 150 mm; to avoid splitting, the handle must be pulled together with metal bandage rings;
- the blades of chisels, cross cutters, scrapers, drills and other cutting tools should not have burrs, gouges and cracks, and their cutting edge should be properly sharpened in accordance with the material being processed and be a flat or slightly convex surface; the length of chisels and crosscuts must be at least 150 mm, the length of the drawn part is 60-70 mm;
- the screwdriver blade must be pulled back and flattened to such a thickness that it enters without a gap into the slot of the screw head;
- wrenches should not have cracks, potholes, burrs; the jaws of the keys must be strictly parallel and not rolled;
- sliding keys should not have slack (play) in moving parts;
- needle nose pliers and pliers should not have chipped, broken jaws, handles, the jaws of the needle nose pliers should be sharp, the pliers should have a good notch;
- bars and large files for filing wide surfaces should be equipped with special handles that allow convenient processing of these surfaces;
- the ends of crowbars, mandrels for making holes in metal products should not be bent or knocked down;
- supports used in manual riveting, crimping, chasing and other work must be strong and safe;
- pullers must have a rigid structure and not have cracks, bent rods, stripped or removed threads and ensure alignment of the thrust (tension) device with the axis of the part to be removed. The grips of the pullers must ensure a tight and reliable grip of the part in the place where the force is applied;
- hoists (blocks) must have a design that eliminates the possibility of spontaneous falling of the chain (rope) or jamming it between the blocks and the holder, running, skipping or sliding the chain along the sprocket.
The teeth of sprockets and gears, as well as chain links, should not have cracks, burrs and dents on the surface; leaf chains must be movable in all swivel joints.
1.5. Rack and screw jacks must have locking devices that prevent the complete exit of the screw or rail from the jack body, manual lever-rack jacks - a device that prevents spontaneous lowering of the load when the force is removed from the lever or handle, and the support heads of the jacks - a surface that excludes the possibility of slipping of the lifted cargo.
1.6. Portable hand-held electric lamps should be equipped with a safety net with a reflector and a hook for suspension, a hose wire with a plug that excludes the possibility of plugging it into a socket connected to the mains with a voltage of over 42 V.
The cartridge must be built into the luminaire body in such a way that it is impossible to touch the current-carrying parts of the cartridge and the lamp base.
1.7. To carry the tool, the mechanic should be provided with a bag or a light portable box.
1.8. At maintenance and repair posts, indoors and outdoors, cars and other vehicles should be placed so that the distance between them, building elements, stationary technological equipment and jobs corresponded current regulations and ensured the safe movement of workers and vehicles, convenient and safe performance of technological operations for the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Aisles must correspond to the dimensions of materials, workpieces, parts, assemblies and assemblies transported by lifting and transport vehicles, and aisles must be at least 1 m wide.
1.9. Workplaces must be fully equipped with the necessary means, depending on the type of work performed (cabinets, racks, workbenches, containers and other devices for placing tools, equipment, materials, etc.), including means of visual agitation for labor safety.
1.10. Grids must be laid at workplaces with cold floors (cement, asphalt, clinker, etc.).
1.11. Places of work outside inspection ditches, overpasses or lifts must be equipped with wooden deck chairs.
1.12. Workplaces, aisles, driveways must not be cluttered. Equipment, tools, fixtures necessary for work, as well as materials, blanks, parts, assemblies and assemblies should be placed in convenient and easily accessible places in such a way as to exclude the possibility of accidental movement or falling of these items.
1.13. Mobile and portable garage equipment and devices intended for installation, dismantling and transportation of assembly units must have grips, handles, brackets, frames, etc., and mobile equipment, in addition, must be equipped with parking braking devices. The operability of the brake parking device should be checked at the rated load of the equipment on a site with a slope of at least 3%.
1.14. When repairing and servicing equipment from a high platform, workplaces must be provided with scaffolds, step ladders that have the appropriate test marks, inspected and approved for operation by the work manager.
It is forbidden to use ladders for repairs.
1.15. Scaffolds must be stable, of appropriate carrying capacity and have appropriate guards, a ladder for climbing them, handrails. The metal supports of the scaffolds must be securely connected to each other. Metal scaffolds must be grounded.
Scaffold deck boards must be laid without gaps and securely fastened. The ends of the boards should be on supports. The thickness of the scaffold boards must be at least 40 mm.
1.16. Portable wooden step-ladders must have cut-in steps at least 150 mm wide. Ladder - A ladder must be of such length that a worker can work from a step at least one meter from the top of the ladder.
Step ladders must be equipped with a device that prevents the possibility of shifting and overturning during operation. At the lower ends of the ladders there should be fittings with sharp tips for installation on the ground, and when using the ladders on smooth surfaces (metal, tile, concrete, etc.), they should be put on shoes made of rubber or other non-slip material.
Step-ladders that have not passed the appropriate tests, inspection and operation permit from the work manager - it is prohibited to use.
1.17. To work in front and behind the machine installed above the inspection ditch (trench) and to cross the inspection ditch, it is necessary to use special inventory bridges, and to descend into the inspection ditch and rise from it, special ladders.
1.18. Trolleys for transportation must have racks and stops that protect the transported units and assemblies from falling and spontaneous movement of cargo along the platform of the trolley.
1.19. Machinery and equipment before being installed at the maintenance and repair post must be cleaned of dirt, oil, logging residues, snow and washed.
1.20. Works related to washing, cleaning, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment must be carried out with idle engine, except when the operation of the engine is required in accordance with technological process.
1.21. The car and other vehicles installed at floor service or repair stations must be securely fixed by installing at least two stops under the wheels, braked by a parking brake, while the gear lever must be set to the position corresponding to the lowest gear. On machines with gasoline engine the ignition must be turned off, and on machines with diesel engine fuel supply is blocked. A sign must be hung on the steering wheel with the inscription: "Do not start the engine - people are working!".
1.22. The car installed on the turntable must be securely fixed using the devices provided for by the design of the stand; fuel and working fluids are drained, rechargeable batteries dismantled, all loose items from the body, cab and interior removed.
1.23. All types of repair and maintenance of equipment with an electric drive must be carried out with the machine turned off and the electric drive turned off.
A sign “Do not turn on - people are working!” should be posted on the starting device of the machine.
1.24. Repair of vehicles in the security zones of overhead lines, near excavations (pits, trenches, ditches, etc.) with unreinforced slopes, near open openings and wells is prohibited.
1.25. Place of repair work in dark time days should be illuminated.
1.26. When repairing vehicles on the territory of a third-party operating enterprise, it is possible to use the mechanisms, devices and vehicles of an operating enterprise only with the permission of the administration of this enterprise and subject to the maintenance of the above mechanisms, devices, etc. personnel authorized to operate the above mechanisms.
1.27. Maintenance posts should be equipped with general ventilation, and the supply air should be distributed dispersed. Air removal should be carried out only from the upper zone.

2. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS BEFORE STARTING WORK

2.1. Before starting work, the locksmith must:
a) receive a task and be instructed at the workplace on the specifics of the work performed;
b) bring overalls and other personal protective equipment into proper condition, fasten the cuffs and cuffs of the trousers of the overalls, remove the hair under a tight-fitting headdress, remove the tie;

2.2. After receiving the assignment, the locksmith must:
