The mechanism is placed back on the box on a degreased surface with a special red sealant for gearboxes (self-hardening when heated, when normal temperature like a gel).
After removing the mechanism, remove the lock washer and pin (stopper) (see photo). When knocking out the pin, the mechanism must be positioned as in the photo below, otherwise the pin will not knock out. He will fall into inaccessible cavities, which will greatly puzzle you, because then it will be impossible to get close to him.
Then we take out the gear selection shaft and press out the old oil seal.
We purchase an oil seal, preferably an original one, you can choose the size and Russian production. But it is not recommended to do this, because the original oil seal, in addition to the working sealing lip, also has a mud boot (see photo below).
We press a new oil seal into the selector housing.
