1.Volkswagen Arteon
IN last years the design didn't shine. It can be called sound, moderate, balanced, but not advanced. In principle, this is how a car designed for a mass buyer should look like. Another thing, Passat CC. This car is difficult to confuse with any other. Sporty profile, trendy styling, four-door coupe, nothing else. It would seem, produce, improve and there will be happiness. But Volkswagen had its own plans for the CC, and a replacement was found for it. The novelty was called Volkswagen Arteon.
The fastback will go on sale in mid-2018. And most likely, he will give the German automaker a new impetus for development, the designers of his appearance were so successful. The Germans hatched plans for its production for a long time and carefully weighed everything. First, they listened and looked closely at public opinion, creating a full-fledged concept car in 2015. Then we calculated and improved the material base of the sedan, adding space in the cabin and horsepower under the hood.

2. 2017 Honda Civic Type R
Car enthusiasts have been waiting for this day for a long time. The charged version has finally been updated! The debut show took place at the Geneva Motor Show and this is no accident. The Japanese were obliged to show one of their coolest, most charged and long-awaited cars at one of the largest car dealerships in the world.
Under the hood of the Type R is a 2.0-liter inline-four engine. The modest volume and small number of pistons did not affect the power, it is 306 hp. Horsepower is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
So that the front-wheel drive sports hatch can normally digest all the torque and transfer it to the asphalt in the right amount, alloy wheels were wrapped in 245/30R Continental ContiSportContact 6 tires. Stopped by four-piston Brembo brakes.

But on the external similarity of proportions and silhouettes, their similarity ends - internally, these are two fundamentally different cars. The most innovative this case, performs cabriolet. This long awaited Japanese novelty from Mitsubishi, complementing the range of compact SUVs. The size of the wheelbase of the novelty went from the previous model of 2010 (ASX) - 2.67 m, but the Eclipse Cross is larger than its predecessor by 3.5 cm in width, 6 cm in height and 11 cm in length. Initially, the Eclipse Cross will be produced in two main layouts: a 2.2-liter turbocharged common rail diesel engine in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 1.5-liter gasoline turbocharged engine in conjunction with a variator with 8 fixed gears and the ability to control manually (it is this equipment that will most likely be supplied to Russia). Eclipse Cross is likely to enter the EU market at the end of 2017.
Model DS7 CROSSBACK
The main novelty of Citroen was the 4.57-meter crossover DS7 Crossback, the main competitors for which will be: BMW X1, Infiniti QX 50 and Lexus NX. But even against their background, the new DS7 looks quite representative!
Of the main advantages of the novelty, the following can be noted: a battery range of about 60 km, recharged by a 300-horsepower hybrid, all 4 wheels are driving, an adaptive suspension that scans the roadway using cameras, as well as a night vision system and light diode headlights.
The interior is trimmed with natural leather and fabric (Alcantara), with branded color trim, the 12-inch multimedia system screen is located in the center of the dashboard, directly above it is a retractable chronograph, below is the original joystick of the 8-speed automatic.
Market entry is scheduled only in 2019, and before that, the novelty can only be bought in front-wheel drive.
Model RAPID FL
The Rapid update was somewhat more cosmetic than that of the same Octavia (even the engine and transmission lines remained the same). The headlight units are optionally equipped with bi-xenon units with diodes, and the rear lights received tinted diffusers and all the same diode strips.
The interior as a whole has undergone more restyling: the instrument panel, the air conditioning unit and the guides on the air ducts, as well as new door linings. And for rear passengers Amundsen and Swing multimedia systems were provided, capable of making friends with passengers' smartphones, and via personal USB.
In Russia, the new Skoda is expected closer to summer and the cost will be higher, including due to the state emergency information system ERA-GLONASS (similar to the European eCall, technologically compatible), mandatory for the Russian version.

Model ARTEON
The new ARTEON is 175 mm longer than the classic Passat, and the roofline is 15 mm lower. Huge trunk lid (563 liters) opens with the rear window!

The XC60 model is a promising sales leader
This crossover is less bulky and more affordable than its older brother XC90, but something vaguely reminiscent of the first generation BMW X5 (especially the look rear lights). What the XC60 cannot be denied is the overall harmony of the exterior and interior: smooth lines of the body and richness interior decoration- everything is in its place. But the main thing, as always, is inside. The Swedish fad on safety is fully reflected here - the automatic steering system has made it possible to significantly improve the systems automatic braking City Safety and blind spot monitoring BLIS. The lack of a spare wheel is somewhat unusual, in the configuration for the European market, but we will think that it will still be in the Russian edition. As part of the logic of a gradual transition to autonomy, the XC60 now has: a Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system that allows acceleration, braking and even steering on good roads with clear markings, when driving no faster than 130 km / h, as well as an exit prevention system
on the opposite side. A full-fledged Swedish autopilot is expected only by 2021. The Swedes have not forgotten about comfort either, three-zone climate control and a spacious trunk will appeal to travel enthusiasts.
I was pleased with a wider engine range: in addition to the top 407 hp. The “hybrid” T8 Twin Engine, which accelerates the XC60 to 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds, received 2 diesel engines with 190 hp. D4 and 235 hp D5 (PowerPulse), as well as a couple of gasoline units - 254 hp. T5 and turbocharged 320 hp T6. And what about the general mood? Experts predict another decline in growth rates. No wonder: 14.6 million cars last year - this was the best figure in the last 9 years. And, if the growth then amounted to as much as 7%, then this year will bring an increase of no more than one.
European car factories are not loaded, which significantly affects profits. On the eve of Geneva, it became known about the sale of Opel to the French PSA for 1.3 billion euros. What will happen to German jobs now? Question. Volkswagen, for example, has already announced the layoff of tens of thousands of workers.
This problem is all the more urgent as the buyer himself, Peugeot, is forced to close one of his factories north of Paris. And the Germans are unlikely to be especially on ceremony. One hope for a collective agreement guaranteeing the preservation of 19,000 jobs in Germany until the end of 2018.
But Karl, who was unlucky with Opel, will be discontinued. Then the turn will come for Adam and Zafira to disappear... Even Insignia can, alas, disappear from the conveyors, if, of course, they themselves remain.

The most powerful serial 5-cylinder engine in the world with 294 kW / 400 hp. now gives out 30 more forces. The maximum torque of 480 Nm is already reached at 1700 rpm. and remains so up to 5850. With such thrust, it is a pleasure to accelerate to a hundred in 4.1 s and continue the run further. The 2.5 TFSI engine has a unique “five” sound thanks to a well-thought-out sequence of flashes, either in adjacent or spaced cylinders.
At the request of the client, the company can reconfigure the electronic limiter from the usual 250 to a bewitching 280 km / h - they will not catch up with you! The injection of this engine is even difficult to classify as direct, since along with the nozzle in the cylinder, there are also additional ones in the intake manifold. The Valvelift system regulates the duration of the opening of the exhaust valves depending on the load and rpm. In the combined cycle, the car can do just 8.3 l / 100 km.
On the road, traction is transmitted through full Quattro drive and a 7-speed automatic DSG S-Tronic. An electromagnetic lamellar clutch quickly distributes the moment between the axles. And the sportier the driver behaves, the greater the share goes to the rear wheels. This whole system is tied through Audi Drive Select to the steering, gearbox, engine controller, valve in the exhaust tract and sports suspension with adaptive dampers. The driver can then select between "comfort", "auto", "dynamic" and "individual". Progressive power steering and a sport-tuned stabilization system improve handling.
Lateral dynamics are improved by a 25 mm lowered chassis, a 20 mm larger track and wheels with 235/35R19 tires. Brakes with discs with a diameter of 370 mm guarantee fast and reliable braking. And you can order and carbon-ceramic. LED headlights are standard, but matrix lights with flexible light are optional.
The main rotary pressure control is interesting: its surface is a touch pad! So you can navigate through the menus by simply swiping your finger. And you can command with your voice.
The Audi RS 3 Sportback will appear in April and will cost 54,600 euros - 1,300 euros cheaper than the sedan.

By the start of sales in June, it will be possible to choose one of four motors, xDrive all-wheel drive. The rear axle air suspension will become standard. In the cabin, the attention is drawn to the Control Display, designed as a free-standing flat screen Flatscreen. All riders will experience noticeably more head, shoulder and leg room. Improved sound insulation in the area of the windshield, roof and luggage compartment brought the wagon to the level of sedans.
Trunk volume has grown to 570/1700 liters, its possible loading - by 120 kg to 730 kg. The rear seat folds down in a ratio of 40:20:40 from the button, the rear window opens separately from the door, and this door itself opens automatically.

The name of the novelty Arteon with an accent on the first syllable is formed from the English "Art" and the ending "eon", which the company also uses on Chinese market for Phideon premium model. The novelty will appear on the market in the summer. 
Also Volkswagen unexpectedly found a gap between the Tiguan and the Tuareg and hurried to fill it with a novelty: the Tiguan Allspace.
If in America it completely replaces the regular Tiguan, then in Europe it will be offered in addition to it. We are talking about a version extended by 21.5 cm (the wheelbase has grown by 11 cm at the same time), which can accommodate 7 seats or 2 + 1920 liters for luggage. Externally, the 4.7 m long car slightly resembles the VW Atlas sold in the USA. The rear row of seats can move up to 18 cm. The 6 engines offered cover the range from 150 to 240 hp. The all-wheel drive version has a 4Motion Active Control system with a choice of driving modes. The novelty will go on sale in September, orders will begin to be accepted in May. The issue price is approximately 30,000 euros. 
Volvo The XC60 is the world premiere of the new SUV. He will get 3 new assistants. City-Safety-System, which previously recognized other cars, pedestrians and wild animals, will now be able not only to brake, but also to go around an unexpected obstacle at a speed of 50 to 100 km / h, if it considers that there is not enough braking distance.

The new sedan will be available with a newly developed new 1.5 liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 165 hp. and a diesel modified bi-turbo diesel engine with a capacity of 160 hp.
In March of this year, it is quite possible that Opel will bring the Opel Insignia to Geneva in a station wagon. So far, this is not accurate information, but nevertheless, the likelihood of this is very high, since the German brand has scheduled the start of sales of the station wagon for 2017. Therefore, there is no better place for the premiere than the Geneva Motor Show.
Porsche Panamera Turismo
Porsche will also present its first . This machine should become a direct competitor Mercedes CLS shooting brake.

According to rumors, Audi is preparing an unexpected surprise in Geneva - the Audi RS 1 model, which has been around for a long time. Recall that for the first time about the new model Audi announced back in 2011. But since then, the launch of the new model has been constantly delayed.
It is expected that the new Audi model will receive a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is currently installed in the Audi S3 and Volkswagen Golf R PC. As a result, it is planned that the Audi RS 1 will receive a power of at least 300 hp.
RANGE ROVER VELAR
The fourth representative of the Range Rover family was created on the Jaguar Land Rover modular platform (the F-Pace is also built on it). The Velar is just 4.7cm shorter than the Range Rover Sport, but the roofline is 12cm closer to the ground here. At the same time, the car has an impressive ground clearance: basic versions with a spring suspension it is 21 cm, and on models with pneumatics it can reach 25 cm.
The creators of Velar got rid of the usual door handles, and the interior was flooded with touchscreens. Even on the steering wheel, the switches are touch-sensitive! Two 10-inch screens on the center console are the "face" of the latest Touch Pro Duo complex.
The novelty will be equipped with diesel engines with a capacity of 180, 240 and 300 hp, and gasoline, developing 250, 300 and 380 hp. All units are stocked with an 8-speed ZF automatic. Four-wheel drive is also set by default. Range Rover Velar will enter the Russian market in autumn at a price of 3,880,000 rubles
CITROEN DS7 CROSSBACK
With a length of 4.57 meters, the flagship of the DS brand is comparable in size to the Mazda CX-5, but it will have to compete with completely different models: BMW X1, Infiniti QX 50 and Lexus NX. And against their background, the French novelty looks very worthy!
The leather and Alcantara interior is dominated by a 12-inch display crowned by a stylish retractable chronograph, below is the original joystick for an 8-speed automatic, all framed by “branded” DS patterns.
The crossover also has LED headlights, a night vision system, an adaptive suspension that “scans” the road surface with cameras, plus a 300-horsepower rechargeable hybrid drive with an electric range of 60 km and all-wheel drive.
True, the hybrid model will enter the market only in 2019, and before that, the DS 7 Crossback can only be bought with front-wheel drive.
VOLVO XC60
In the tradition of the Swedish brand, the first generation of the XC60 crossover, which once pioneered the introduction of the revolutionary City Safety automatic braking system, lived a long and incredibly successful life, remaining one of the main bestsellers in its segment for nine years. Largely for this reason, and also in light of the overall stylistic reconstruction of the image of Swedish cars, the debut of the second generation XC60 was expected with increased attention.
In keeping with Volvo's philosophy, the new XC60's premiere was once again focused on safety: the revolutionary City Safety system and BLIS Blind Spot Monitor have evolved significantly with the new automatic steering function. There was a system to prevent the departure of oncoming traffic. In addition, the new XC60 features Pilot Assist, a semi-autonomous driving option that takes over steering, acceleration and braking on clearly marked roads at speeds up to 130 km/h.
Expanded and motor line models. VOLKSWAGEN ARTEON
The novelty is 17.5 cm longer than the regular Passat, and its roofline is lowered by 1.5 cm. The model has an impressive luggage compartment with a volume of 563 liters, but, most importantly, the trunk lid rises here along with the rear window!
The Volkswagen Arteon also features premium trim and rich equipment, which will include alloy wheels up to 20 inches in diameter and the new Discover Pro media system with a 9.2-inch display. Divided by a grille, LED headlights are standard equipment.
The manufacturer has also equipped the model with the latest driver assistance systems, which, in case of loss of control over the car, will automatically rebuild from the fast left lane to the slow right lane. The list of power units includes gasoline and diesel engines with power from 150 to 280 hp.
PORSCHE PANAMERA SPORT TURISMO
The Germans from Porsche have been harnessing for a long time with an eye on the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake, but we hope they will go quickly. The Panamera Sport Turismo presented in Geneva turned out to be concise and beautiful.
It is based on a familiar and understandable design with different types engines and configurations, but the new body mixes all the frames and expands its habitat. The trunk has a volume of more than 500 liters, and if you wish, you can increase it to 1550 by folding the backs of the rear seats, and, say, transport all the sets of your friends' golf clubs at once or, with all the delights of the legendary brand, deliver your favorite dogs to their destination. Most importantly, do not forget to tie the load tighter, and fasten the animals as far as possible.
Seriously, the practical component of convenience can also include the fact that a more even roofline and a steep slope of the glass of the fifth door added cabin comfort to passengers with an increase in headroom, and a useful space in the trunk.
SUBARU XV
The novelty took all the best from its urban sister, the Impreza hatchback, and, having risen above the ground, is ready to face mud and snow fully armed.
Thanks to the use of the Subaru Global Platform (SGP) modular platform, the body has become stiffer and the center of gravity is 5 mm lower. The car has gained less tendency to roll and as a bonus received a reduction in the level of vibrations and noise in the cabin.
Visual reading of the design of our popular model in new version turned out fresh and quite concise. The main family features are preserved and the intricacies of smoothness and at the same time sharpness of lines are added.
Sales in Russia and Europe will start in the second half of 2017. In gamut boxer engines you can find both gasoline and diesel units, but the diesel version will not be available to Russian buyers.
MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS
The Eclipse Cross is an all-new compact SUV for the brand, featuring a sleek coupe style that will complement the ASX's compact SUV lineup. With the same wheelbase of 2670mm, the Eclipse Cross is 110mm longer, 35mm wider and 60mm taller than the Mitsubishi ASX.
Eclipse Cross received an electronically controlled all-wheel drive system MMC Super All-Wheel Control, which includes a proprietary torque control subsystem with selective wheel braking to maintain directional stability.
At first, Eclipse Cross will be offered in two engine-transmission variations. In the first, a new 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine is aggregated with a variator with 8 fixed gears and manual control. In the second, a 2.2-liter Common Rail turbodiesel is offered in tandem with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Eclipse Cross is expected to hit the European market this autumn.
MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS COUPE & CABRIOLET
The main novelties of the Stuttgart brand at the 87th Geneva international motor show became representatives of the E-class: E 300 Coupé and all-wheel drive cabriolet E 400 4MATIC Cabriolet.
The proportions and lines of the body of both cars are generally similar. However, the greatest interest is with a folding roof. The wheelbase of the E 400 4MATIC Cabriolet is 15 cm longer than that of the C-Class Cabriolet, and for the first time in the brand's history, the Mercedes Convertible has all-wheel drive.
The fabric roof with glass retracts into the trunk in 20 seconds, and this can be done on the go - at speeds up to 50 km / h. At the same time, the amount of usable space in the trunk is reduced quite slightly: from 385 to 310 liters. Claimed fuel consumption varies from 8.3 to 6.4 liters.
FORD FIESTA ST
The iconic pro-sport subcompact has a new three-cylinder 1.5-liter EcoBoost petrol engine with 200 hp. with a torque of 290 Nm. Featuring Ford's new cylinder deactivation technology, a first for a three-cylinder engine, this engine combines top-end power and economy. The three-cylinder engine design also allows for high torque at low revs, enabling the new Fiesta ST to reach 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
In addition to the revolutionary engine, the new Fiesta ST is equipped with a three-position Selectable Drive Modes system that allows you to adjust engine parameters, steering sensitivity, stabilization systems and even exhaust sound.
Along with the new Fiesta ST, Ford's display at the Geneva Motor Show takes visitors through five decades of Ford motorsport performance. Which is no coincidence: this year the brand celebrates the half-century anniversary of the creation of the most successful racing engine of all time - the legendary Ford Cosworth DFV, which has 155 victories and 12 Formula 1 championship titles.
SKODA RAPID FL
Compared to the Octavia, whose appearance was radically changed by the new headlight design, the Rapid update was much calmer. The headlights here are also new - they have an optional bi-xenon unit with strips of LED lights, but they remain the same in shape. The rear optics also retained their shape, having received LED “brackets” and tinted diffusers.
Inside, the lining on the doors, air deflectors, air conditioning unit and dashboard have changed.
The list of options includes two USB connectors for rear passengers and modern Swing and Amundsen media systems that are “friendly” with smartphones. At the same time, the list of engines and transmissions has not changed.
We have a new Skoda will appear by the summer and will cost more than its predecessor. The price will rise, including due to the ERA-GLONASS system, which is included in the equipment of all restyled Rapids intended for the Russian market.
DACIA LOGAN MCV STEPWAY
The Romanian "off-road" station wagon not only looks prettier than the Lada Largus Cross, and has more comfortable lounge with a modern media system, but also surpasses the Russian relative in terms of cross-country ability and spaciousness.
The ground clearance of the novelty is increased by 5 cm relative to the usual Logan MCV and reaches almost 17.5 cm - half a centimeter more than that of the domestic Cross. The trunk of Dacia has a volume of 573 liters, compared to 560 liters of Lada.
