Changes in OSAGO
However, the new table of fines in 2018, developed by the authorities and the traffic police, is not all that awaits the transport sector in the near future. The changes will also affect the compulsory OSAGO insurance system.
Important! Henceforth, all participants in traffic accidents who register an incident under the European Protocol will be able to count on a compensation payment in the amount increased to 100,000 rubles against the maximum possible today of 50,000 rubles.

Everyone is subject to compensation, however, on the condition that at the time of the accident the vehicles had special technical modules for recording what was happening (for example, the Era-Glonass installation, a video recording recorder, etc.).
More about migrants
From January 1, 2018, fines and innovations will also apply to people who come to Russia to work from other countries. Now they will not be able to get a job with the rights obtained in their native country - such certificates will need to be replaced with Russian ones. If a person does not go through this procedure and still gets a job, in the future, responsibility, and extremely significant, for his offense will be borne by the employer. For one such employee, the employer will have to pay 50,000 rubles. To prevent this from happening, the migrant will need to pass an exam at any department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will determine whether the foreigner has sufficient knowledge and level of training to drive a vehicle on the territory of the Russian Federation. This provision applies only to those who want to earn money by driving, and bypasses visitors who use cars for personal purposes.
The authorities are also considering the possibility of increasing the amount that both migrants and the Russians themselves pay for the issuance of driver's licenses. The fee may increase from 2,000 to 3,000 rubles.
Project development: introduction of points
One of the government's ideas is the gradual introduction of a points system into wide practice, which will be an effective addition to the new fines for non-compliance with traffic rules, introduced from January 1, 2018.
