Off-road qualities of a folk pickup truck: test drive of the fifth generation Mitsubishi L200. Test drive Mitsubishi L200: everything you wanted to know about the new pickup How it rides

One of the first in Russia to ride on the new pickup Mitsubishi L200 2.4D. The man expressed his opinion about the interior of the car below.

The appearance of the serial L200 is not so outrageous, but compared to its predecessor, the creativity of the novelty in places even rolls over. Chrome, huge wheels, bends, stampings, stiffeners… Space! Now imagine the difficulties body repair. That's what the tinsmiths will be "delighted" with!

The interior, on the contrary, is without frills. Chairs have become more comfortable, and steering column now adjustable in reach over a wide range. However, the driver sits a little high, a powerful frame under the cab floor prevents him from taking his usual position.

And yet in the cabin of the new L200 has become a little more spacious. A little space was saved due to thinner seat frames and optimization of their mounts. A two-centimeter increase “in the legs” made it possible to tilt the back of the rear sofa up to 25º. True, this did not bring much convenience to passengers. But more on that later…

Front seats with pronounced lateral support are more comfortable than before. However, the pillow is still a little short, and the seats themselves are high. On the second row of space in front of the knees with a margin, and the back is now more hollow. Comfortable fit interferes with a short pillow with insufficiently thick filler. Behind the back is a small "closet" with a tool of first necessity. A small shovel fits perfectly here as well.

Alexander Evdokimov from AvtoVesti tested the Mitsubishi L200 2018 pickup truck, driving both in a car with a 154- and 181-horsepower diesel engine. His test drive impressions are below.

First, I made a short “capped” acquaintance with the 154-horsepower version, which received a new 6-speed (previously there was only a “five-speed”) manual R6M5A / V6M5A. Immediately bribed clear and short moves of the gearshift lever and excellent gear selectivity. The lever itself does not itch, but vibrations are clearly felt on the clutch pedal.

The dynamics of acceleration and acceleration from the move is quite enough for such power, and I liked that the diesel honestly pulls from 1500 rpm - from these speeds, according to the passport, the maximum 380 Nm of thrust in this version develops. Wherein gear ratios in the box they were selected not only for traction, but also for economy: at the sixth stage and at a speed of 100 km / h, the tachometer showed only a little more than 1500 rpm.

Too lazy to constantly wield the lever and clutch pedal? For a 154-horsepower diesel engine in Russia, a modified 5-speed automatic transmission is offered. Aisin gear R5AWF/V5AWF from current SUV Pajero. Well, the flagship version with a capacity of 181 hp. equipped with this box only.

Reseeding on it, I am again convinced that the pickup has become much quieter! And here, not only the reinforced sound insulation of the instrument panel, the central tunnel, the cab floor, the engine shield and the front wheel arches clearly helped.

The new 4N15 diesel engine itself now runs much softer and quieter (especially in highway modes), without the former hard metal growl, like a tractor, which manifested itself in some operating modes. General impression spoiled only the "whistling" on the go optional plastic body kit and a roof rack on the test truck. Moreover, during the test, they tried to remove the trunk, but it was not possible to completely calm down the aerodynamic noise.

The Wheels portal organized a test drive of the new Mitsubishi L200 2017, while journalist Yevgeny Lipovitsky got behind the wheel of the car, who appreciated the car at its true worth during a trip along broken roads and off-road.

The motor is wonderful. Pulls on all his 430 Newtons. Most of the route was off-road (not a trophy-raid, of course, but there were sections that only serious off-road vehicles could handle) - and it was possible to evaluate the operation of the engine when driving in tightness more than once. In simple words- enough for confident movement in any conditions. If you need a "hurricane" on the pavement - this is not for the L200, there are many other options.

Handling is absolutely adequate, given that the L200 is a frame pickup truck with a spring rear suspension. That is, it can turn, but exactly as it should for a safe change of course. There is no adrenaline here.

The five-speed “automatic” shifts gears quite quickly and logically. Fuel consumption - this is where the problem came out. During the test on-board computer showed an average of about 14 liters per 100 km. Yes, we often went much faster than expected. Yes, mostly country roads, clay, dirt and other attributes of the rural life of the Chernozem region. But they promised that in the city he "eats" 10.7!

In the meantime, I am very glad that I was not deceived. The new L200 has become really better in many ways, that is, the update can be safely called successful and appropriate. I, as a rare vindictive cynic, do not scatter such words.

Motor.ru edition organized long test drive 5th generation Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck, during which journalist Alexander Miroshkin rode for several weeks in a car equipped with a 2.4-liter diesel engine with 154 hp. from six step mechanics. During the test, the car's mileage reached almost 4,500 km.

On the move, the difference between a loaded L200 and an unloaded L200 is the same as between cleaning your ears with cotton swabs and a screwdriver. Bumps, pokes and other delights that accompany an empty L200 ride on a loaded pickup truck almost disappear. Together with them, fears about discomfort during the forced march disappear.

On good, straight roads, the appetite of a 154-horsepower diesel in the L200 does not go beyond nine liters per hundred kilometers. True, this is if you move evenly and not faster than 100-110 kilometers per hour. After this mark, the consumption grows faster than the pickup truck moves away from the capital: it won’t take even a couple of kilometers, as the onboard computer will give out 10-11 liters, and you are unlikely to like it.

As well as noticeably podvirayuschie speedometer. When the L200 needle was pointing at 110 kilometers per hour, the speedometer in the second car of our impromptu column - Kia Sorento the previous generation - showed "hundred". Similar data was also provided by Yandex. Navigator". You can sin on the wheels, but they were standard on the test pickup - 245/70 R16.

The L200 begins to lose heart only when the number of turns on the road exceeds two. If on straight stretches the dynamics of a pickup truck is enough even to feel like the owner of the left lane, then the endless descents and ascents, accompanied by blind "hairpins", pleased the car no more than Vitaly Mutko's question about his resignation.

I overdid it a little at the entrance, and a loaded two-ton car seeks to make a gift to the traffic police inspectors hiding in the bushes, driving off behind a continuous marking line. I ran into someone on the rise after the turn - forward, work with my right hand and left foot: surprisingly, the 2.4-liter diesel engine did not always have enough thrust. And then the third gear began to knock out at the most inopportune moments ...

First, I get behind the wheel of a modification with a 2.5-liter turbodiesel known from the previous model. The engine rumbles and vibrates noticeably idling, but after the start, the vibrations disappear. The clutch of a manual transmission works smoothly, and its information content is at its best. Most "mud baths" pickups easily pass in second gear (with the lower row engaged), and only the most serious obstacles require a shift to first. The off-road track makes it clear that the potential of the L200 is very impressive, which, in fact, there was no doubt before.

I switch to a version with a new turbodiesel and almost stall when starting off. It's all about the work of the clutch, which seizes here too sharply. After several attempts, the necessary dexterity appeared, but questions about the grip remained. Those present at this representatives of Mitsubishi All remarks were carefully recorded and promised to be sorted out. Knowing the scrupulous approach of the Japanese to trifles, there is no doubt that the disadvantage will be in soon eliminated.

Otherwise, the modification with the new turbodiesel behaves perfectly. Vibrations at idle are significantly reduced, the chirping of the engine has become noticeably quieter. And the off-road track with this motor can be completely passed in second gear: there is enough traction even for the most difficult areas when the speed drops to almost zero. Insolent, I even turned off the low gear and calmly drove the same route again, however, already in first gear.

After a fair amount of mud, I moved to another part of the training ground, where a race track was waiting for me. Yes, yes, I was running around the track on the new Mitsubishi L200! In sharp turns, the pickup easily fell into a drift, but did it very calmly and predictably. Certainly, soft suspension and high-profile tires do not allow you to drive this car as fast as a race, but you can appreciate how the chassis is designed. I must say, it is perfectly balanced - taking into account frame body and spring rear suspension, of course. The degree of drift of the front axle is small, and drifts in most cases do not even need to be parried - the car stabilizes itself.

I haven't ridden the previous generation model on the track, but the new L200 feels noticeably better handling than its predecessor - in terms of driving habits, it really came close to cars. In addition, it has more spacious and comfortable lounge. In a word, my first impressions of the new product are very positive. It remains to wait full test drive to reach a final verdict. However, apparently, if my impression of the new Mitsubishi L200 changes, then only for the better.

With previousL200 we know each other firsthand: not later than last winter the crew of the "Dvizhka" drove a thousand miles across Karelia, , in particular, on the track of one of the special stages of the Northern Forest 2015 rally-raid. newMitsubishi L 200 we have been interested since its appearance in Russia. And they took the first opportunity to test it in the off-road.

When you look at the new L200 from the outside, at its lines and stampings that are not without elegance, it seems that the pickup truck has probably changed radically as well. However, with regard to materiel, the Japanese went, rather, an evolutionary path.

The frame, for example, although reinforced, went to the car from its predecessor with virtually no alterations. circuit diagram Mitsubishi designers did not change the suspensions either: double wishbones in front, springs in the rear - the chassis for the new generation L200 was only reconfigured.

Fiat has developed its own new generation based on the Mitsubishi L200. Tentatively, in the first half of 2016, the car will be sold in Russia.

But the brand name has changed all-wheel drive transmission SuperSelect. In the “center” there is now not a viscous coupling, but a Torsen self-locking asymmetric differential, which transfers 60% of traction to rear wheels. As before, you can drive all-wheel drive all the time, but you can also turn off the drive to the front axle. From now on, this is done not with a tight lever (which also shook from vibrations), but by simply turning the washer on the central tunnel.

Downshift and forced locking of the rear cross-axle differential - standard equipment L200 in any version, including the basic one.

The steering system has also been upgraded. If on the previous L200 the steering wheel made more than 4.2 turns “from lock to lock”, now it is less than four.

But most importantly technical innovation- under the hood of a pickup truck. Deserved in every sense of the word diesel 2.5 l, 178 l. with., gave way to a 2.4-liter aluminum unit. On Russian version L200 it is available in two power options: 154 and 181 hp. With. The more powerful one is equipped with the MIVEC variable valve timing system and develops 430 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm.

I don’t know how it is in the city and on the highway (our test was exclusively off-road), but on a motocross track, which was also soggy after rain with wet snow, the traction capabilities of the 181-horsepower diesel engine are impressive! The motor demonstrates powerful traction: deep ruts and climbs with loose ground under the wheels of the L200 2.4 overcome effortlessly.

And even a frank "provocation" in the form of steep slope the accelerator does not become a reason for the new diesel to pull less hard. The unit stubbornly pulls the car "forward and up", even when the speed drops almost to idle.

The first impression of the suspension was ambivalent. It seemed that on the primer the new L200 was too actively "collecting" all sorts of "small things". Yes, vibrations unsprung masses palpable. As a result, the car shakes slightly all the time.

But - just that "slightly". Because the L200 does not seem to notice the really serious potholes at all! In addition, when driving in the style of " more speed- fewer holes Mitsubishi pickup becomes even more comfortable than with careful "licking" of irregularities. In general, than worse road and the higher the speed - the softer the car “lays”.

The energy intensity of the L200 suspension is also not to be occupied. Descending from a fairly high dirt dump, which serves as a springboard for motocrossers, I did not immediately notice a hole at the foot of the slope. As well as the fact that immediately after it was followed by a “toss”.

Having managed to slow down only a little, I hold the gas evenly and cling to the steering wheel. L200 practically “falls” into the pit, then “emerges” from it. The front wheels are off the ground windshield for a moment, the sky covered with gray clouds flickers. I mentally prepare to piece together my spine, but the car lands surprisingly softly. The suspension not only didn’t break through - it didn’t choose the compression stroke either.

I pass the rest of the route more carefully, and along the way, I note that it has become more convenient to work with a “shorter” steering wheel. Especially when you need to quickly unscrew the wheels in one direction or the other.

Salon L200 with the change of generations has also become more comfortable. In it now ... let's not say "comfortable", but the feeling that you are driving in a condo truck is no longer there.

First and foremost: a tall driver (who, like the Dvizhka browser, has grown up to more than 190 cm) will now easily take a comfortable fit for himself. Special thanks to the Japanese interior designers for adjusting the steering wheel for reach. Earlier, I remember, the right leg, when transferring it from pedal to pedal, propped up the steering wheel all the time.

The only thing you can still blame those responsible for ergonomics for is the insufficient range of steering wheel height adjustment. Which, however, is typical for many Japanese cars.

But the quality of the finish, compared to the old L200 - a breakthrough! And although plastic, in the main, is still emphatically inexpensive to the touch, it makes a very favorable impression in appearance. And inserts under the "piano lacquer" and completely ennobled the interior. Long time ago!

It is also a sin for rear passengers to complain that they were sent "to settlements." The second row is quite spacious, there is a comfortable armrest with cup holders. That's just harsh rear sofa. Plus, it's too flat. sharp turns gotta hold on tight. Pleases with the new L200 and acoustic comfort. Without unnecessary noise, the suspension works out bumps, the engine hums unobtrusively, there are no vibrations from the transmission.

What is the upshot?

In its current form, yes current situation on Mitsubishi market The L200 has become an even more compelling alternative to traditional SUVs. Moreover, the latter not only rise in price, but also consistently get rid of frame structure bodies.

It turns out that those who are interested in an imported "rogue", hardy and all-encompassing, have no choice but to take a closer look at the pickups. The new L200, if you approach it from such positions, will obviously not disappoint: a serious off-road arsenal remained with it, while the car clearly added comfort and “gloss”. There are few alternatives left for him: a new Toyota Hilux Yes Volkswagen Amarok. Well Russian UAZ"Patriot". However, "UAZ" is a completely different story ...

The editors of the magazine "Engine" expresses gratitude to the company "Rolf Lakhta" - official dealer Mitsubishi for the provided vehicle.

Mitsubishi L200

Well known in Russia. Its off-road capabilities, as well as the ability to transport oversized cargo highly regarded by farmers, fishermen, hunters and anyone who loves leisure. In 2006, about two thousand Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 were sold in Russia, which, given the specifics of the car, is very good. Now the usual Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 has been replaced by a new generation of it - bright, sporty, with even more outstanding characteristics and capabilities.

Looking around new Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200, the language does not turn to call it " workhorse". Rather, a pickup truck looks like a breeding stallion: beautiful, slender, muscular and full of strength. His originality is due to the fact that he borrowed his "face" from sports concept Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution / Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution. And his appearance could not but be reflected in internal content car and its character.

The interior of the new Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 has been completely redone. Finishing materials, although simple, are very pleasant and create a warm and cozy atmosphere inside the pickup truck. And the parts of the steering wheel, instrument panel and center console finished in aluminum look just give the interior that very “sporty touch” given by the new look of the car.

Sitting inside is quite comfortable: seat and steering column settings are enough. The new Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 is delivered to Russia only in the Double Cab version (4-door cab), we note that on rear seats Passengers can be accommodated with proper comfort for a pickup truck. Very helpful here a large number of pockets, cup holders and various kinds of niches. They bring into the atmosphere salon Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 spirit of travel.

Management of car systems is ingenuous. And in order to change, for example, the direction of air supply to the passenger compartment, you do not need to run your finger along the center console for a long time, in search of desired button. Everything is realized in three round handles of soft blue color, made in tone dashboard and a liquid crystal screen on the top of the dashboard.

As if refuting the opinion that the new Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 is a pampered breeding stallion, the pickup is still not squeamish about hard work. In his body, he is able to take away up to a ton of cargo. And to do this easily and naturally, the new 136-horsepower diesel engine with the system common rail volume of 2.5 liters.

For all its cargo “imprisonment”, the pickup truck adequately keeps on the road and does not give the impression of a five-meter bumpkin weighing two tons, unable to move faster than forty kilometers per hour. In addition, its suspension is quite comfortable (in front it is independent, on dual wishbones, spring suspension) and only on bumps, throwing up a light back pickup truck, springs do not let you forget about yourself, which somewhat detracts from the pleasant sensations from the trip, especially for passengers in the rear row of seats.

Japanese engineers endowed the new Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 with outstanding off-road capabilities. In addition to high ground clearance in 200 mm, they are provided by migrated from the new Pajero / Pajero multimode SUPER SELECT transmission 4WD with two speed transfer case And forced blocking rear differential, allowing you to include four-wheel drive on the run. Transmission is completed as a 5-speed mechanical box gears, and 4-band automatic transmission gear c electronic control- "automatic" is usually not typical for a pickup truck. Cheaper Mitsubishi versions L200 / Mitsubishi L200 are equipped with a simpler EASY-SELECT 4WD system and only a 5-speed “mechanics”. Even the huge rear overhang does not prevent the car from wading through obstacles. The Mitsubishi / Mitsubishi engineers solved the problem with scratching about gullies by beveling it at an angle.

With the expansion of trim levels and price range, the Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 has a chance to take a leading position in sales in the pickup segment. The car is unique in that it is able to compete both in the lower price range, for example, with Ford Ranger / Ford Ranger or Mazda BT-50 / Mazda BT-50, and with premium pickup Nissan Navara / Nissan Navara. Simplest Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi L200 in the "Spartan" version without air conditioning, electronic systems responsible for safe behavior car on the road and a leather interior will cost $24,990. leather interior dealers are asking $33,490, which is significantly lower than the price of Nissan Navara / Nissan Navara in the minimum configuration.
