Sooner or later, this or that mechanism fails, regardless of its quality and reliability. The main reason for this is the limited service life. individual parts, and if they are still subject to mechanical work, their service life is significantly reduced.

Of course, in soon it is unlikely that anyone will be able to create an eternal mechanism, but life extension methods existing systems are already known. In order for the part to last as long as possible, it must be periodically serviced. In this case, for one mechanism, a lubricant change will be required, and for another, the replacement of any electronic element.

General concept

Cars are no exception. This complex system, consisting of a huge number of different mechanisms, needs frequent and quality service and verification. The quantity and quality of inspections and maintenance is determined at the factory for each car model individually. The order of procedures and their frequency is established by the maintenance regulations, depending on the mileage and age of the car.

Often, the maintenance regulations of a car provide for a check general condition, checking individual mechanisms (, engine, etc.), replacing technical fluids, replacement of parts as they wear out, etc. It is also worth considering that only an authorized dealer should deal with routine maintenance and maintenance of a car under warranty. Often, motorists mistakenly service a warranty car in ordinary service stations, which leads to the cancellation of the car warranty.

Of course, many motorists neglect and are afraid of carrying out maintenance at the "officials", considering it to be fraud and "pumping" money from the owner. Very often, such an opinion is formed under the influence of gossip and other people's experience. But it should also be borne in mind that maintenance is the only way to extend the life of a car and its systems.

TO Hyundai Solaris

As an example to describe maintenance work it is best to take a fairly common car. For Russian Federation such a car is a B-class state employee with excellent running characteristics And reasonable price. It first appeared on sale in 2010 and almost immediately gained popularity among residents of the CIS countries. Today, Solaris can be found even in a small town.

According to the regulations, maintenance of the Hyundai Solaris can only be carried out by an official dealership. The maintenance interval is 15,000 kilometers or 1 year. In case of severe operating conditions, it is recommended to reduce the frequency by half.

At the same time, it is worth remembering that the running-in TO-0 is carried out in the first 2,000 kilometers or after 1 month. The maximum deviation from the maintenance point should be no more than 1 thousand kilometers or 1 month. The countdown of the next MOT starts from the mileage and the date of the previous maintenance. The Hyundai Solaris maintenance schedule is mandatory and if it is not followed, the owner may lose the warranty service.

Before full operation, any new car must go through a run-in. So, on a Hyundai Solaris car, the first maintenance is provided for at a mileage of 2,000 kilometers, or after 1 month from the start of operation. In the process of TO-0, a comprehensive inspection of the entire vehicle must be carried out, as well as changing the oil and oil filter with flushing the engine. Such a short interval between engine oil changes is necessary, since the oil in the engine is initially break-in and it is not recommended to drive it beyond the specified period.

After the first MOT, the next maintenance of the car occurs after 15,000 kilometers or 1 year of operation. At the same time, on the Hyundai Solaris TO 1, the list of works includes the following items:

  1. replacement:
  • air purification filter;
  • engine oil and oil filter;
  • cabin filter;
  • after which it is checked:
    • climate system;
    • braking system;
    • accessory drive belts;
    • dust shields and drive shafts;
    • exhaust system;
    • suspension elements;
    • parking brake;
    • steering;
    • tires;
    • automatic transmission;
    • wiring;
    • doors, hinges and limiters;
    • wiper nozzles.

    It should also be taken into account that when poor quality fuel, it is necessary to add a fuel additive to the tank every 5 thousand kilometers, which will help maintain fuel system in proper condition.

    If during the check any malfunctions, loose bolts and nuts are found, they must be eliminated, tightened or replaced with a new part.

    After 15,000 kilometers of operation or one year, the car requires the next MOT. On the Hyundai Solaris TO 2, the list of works consists of standard checks for the entire maintenance procedure, with the exception of:

    • replacement of brake fluid and clutch fluid;
    • fuel filter checks;
    • replacement of spark plugs.

    As with the first maintenance, all faults must be corrected. If at general examination Loosely tightened bolts and nuts were found, they must be tightened.

    As for the next maintenance, on the Hyundai Solaris TO 3, the list of works is absolutely identical to the maintenance procedure No. 1. In addition to the standard verification procedures, the regulations provide for checking and adjusting the valve clearance every 90 thousand kilometers or 6 years of operation. It is also necessary to replace the coolant at 210 thousand kilometers or after 10 years of operation. Further, the replacement of the coolant must be carried out every 30 thousand kilometers or every 2 years.

    Heavy Duty

    As mentioned earlier, in extreme conditions operation it is recommended to reduce service interval twice. Severe operating conditions will be considered if:

    • the air surrounding the car is dusty;
    • driving on a bumpy road;
    • riding in extremely low or high temperatures;
    • long work on idling or short-term operation low temperatures;
    • frequent braking and acceleration;
    • towing;
    • use of a car for business purposes;
    • long driving (50% of the time) at speeds over 120 kilometers per hour;
    • the use of the car by special services.

    Note to the owner

    Despite the fact that the service carefully inspects the car during maintenance, this does not give a 100% guarantee of its long service life. The owner, in addition to the service, must monitor some of its parameters. iron horse". These include:

    • level and condition of technical fluids, engine and transmission oils;
    • tire pressure and tightening;
    • wear of drive belts;
    • control of liquid leaks;
    • other checks according to the operating manual.

    It is the joint control of the owner and service center will allow the car to work smoothly for a long period of time.

    The cost of the timing chain shoe is $15. Catalog number - 244202B000.

    Technical Inspection Cost.

    We can say that it is possible to perform maintenance on your own, the main thing is to calculate correctly how much you will need to invest in each maintenance.

    TO1,5 and 7 will cost you about $41.

    TO 2 - about 48 dollars.

    TO 3 - about 61 dollars.

    TO 4.8 will cost about 54 dollars.

    TO6 will cost about $109.

    Replacement drive belt mounted units will cost about $ 13, if you also change the roller, then $ 113.

    You can change the oil in a Manual Transmission for $24.

    You can change the oil in an Automatic transmission for $49.

    This is when talking about self replacement, service stations will cost you many times more.

    Automobile GAZ-21 "Volga" in the factory version, it was produced only in the station wagon body, while its foreign counterparts had a wider range of trim levels. Nevertheless, experts found 11 modifications of the once popular Soviet car, some of which were assembled by other companies, craftsmen and engineers in the form of factory prototypes.

    Double door versions. In Europe and the USA, young people preferred two-door modifications of the GAZ-21 Volga car, and therefore it was very popular there, writes zr.ru.

    Van GAZ-22A. Prototype truck came out in a single copy in 1958. The engineers planned to launch mass production of a car with a carrying capacity of 500 kilograms, but the popularity of station wagons did not allow them to do so.

    Convertible GAZ. The last such modification of the car was built on the basis of the Pobeda GAZ-M20. In the 1960s, similar vehicles were built at army auto repair plants for parades.

    At the Avtotor plant, the process of assembling a new tractor, called the F-Max, has begun.

    The enterprise, located on the territory of the Russian Federation, began assembling a new generation tractor, which used diesel engine with a volume of 12.7 liters from Ecotorq. The power given out by this motor is 500 hp, and its work is carried out together with a 12-speed gearbox.

    Features of the new generation ford cars Trucks F-Max has numerous modern options, as well as a cab that is 2.5 meters wide. According to information released by the press service of the company, the tractor will be equipped as options with systems such as Eco-Roll, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Predictive Cruise Control.

    Last year, the same enterprise began the process of assembling two more Ford modifications trucks. The wheel formulas of these models looked like 6x2 and 4x2. Such models as a power plant are equipped with a 330 hp engine, together with a 9-speed gearbox.

    How big will be the level of popularity of new cars, it will be possible to say only after their full launch into mass production.

    Among the common reasons are transport at a pedestrian crossing, "restructuring" of a car on a highway lane, non-observance of a distance.

    Maintenance in compliance with the work schedule established by the automaker, this is a guarantee of a long-term trouble-free service of your car. Many of us completely trust this work to a car service. But a trip to the service station is always a waste of both time and money. Meanwhile, many car maintenance operations are technically simple and do not require great physical strength.

    To perform most routine maintenance work, you do not need to have the specialty of a car mechanic. You will be amazed at how much time you save if you do these jobs yourself. But you will be even more amazed by the fact that the cost of some simple service operations can significantly exceed the cost of replacement parts.

    So, for Hyundai Solaris, the manufacturer adopted a maintenance interval that is a multiple of 15 thousand kilometers. At the same time, the cost of the set of works prescribed by the regulations for replacing consumables and checking systems, components and assemblies of a car with a mileage of 60 thousand km, depending on the ambitions of a car service, starts from 5000 rubles. And this is without taking into account the cost of the consumables themselves.

    In addition, many service stations often strongly “recommend” or even openly impose work or do not provided for by the regulations in general, or provided for carrying out at other runs of the car. For example, for "Hyundai Solaris" service stations often they impose the replacement of spark plugs every 30 thousand kilometers, despite the fact that the manufacturer prescribes this operation after 60 thousand kilometers. Therefore, we suggest that you save your time and money, and for this we will understand the Hyundai Solaris maintenance schedule and evaluate the labor intensity of the work prescribed by the regulations.

    **- Brake fluid must be replaced after 2 years of vehicle operation.

    If the vehicle is operated in very dusty, low temperature environment, is used for transporting a trailer, frequent trips at low speeds or short distances, the engine oil and oil filter should be changed after 7.5 thousand kilometers or after 6 months of operation, whichever comes first.

    When operating the vehicle in very dusty conditions, the replacement air filter element must be replaced more often.

    With a car run of more than 120 thousand km, the operations of the maintenance schedule should be carried out at the intervals indicated in the table.

    1. Maintenance (TO) of the car Hyundai Solaris must be carried out in accordance with the regulations below.
    2. Periodic vehicle maintenance should only be performed by Hyundai Authorized Service Partners (Authorized Dealers). There are no restrictions on the choice of dealer - different MOT (on different runs or dates) can be carried out at different official dealers in any cities of Russia. Thus, the place of maintenance is in no way connected with the place where the car was bought. Hyundai Solaris can be purchased from one official dealer, and serviced from any other (or any others).
    3. There are two ways to determine the date of the next maintenance - "by mileage" and "by time". The date and time of the next MOT is determined either by mileage - after 15,000 km, or by time - 1 year from the date of the previous MOT, whichever comes first. For example, if the mileage per year is 30,000 km, then two MOTs will need to be completed per year - with runs of 15,000 km and 30,000 km. And if the mileage per year is 10 thousand km, then the next MOT must be done exactly one year after the previous one, regardless of the mileage.
    4. A free alternation of maintenance by mileage and time is allowed, depending on which comes first. The maximum deviation from the established maintenance intervals should not exceed 1000 km or 1 month.
    5. MOT is mandatory for everyone Hyundai cars during the warranty period. Failure to perform maintenance at official dealers or violation of the terms of scheduled maintenance may cause a refusal to carry out repairs under warranty, in other words - do not undergo maintenance at official dealers - you lose the warranty.
    6. In addition to passing scheduled maintenance, the owner of Solaris must independently periodically check the condition of the car:
      • Engine oil level and condition
      • The level and condition of the oil in the automatic transmission (if there is a dipstick)
      • Brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir
      • Antifreeze level in the engine cooling system
      • Fluid level in the windshield washer reservoir
      • Tire pressure
      • Condition of drive belts of hinged units
      • No leaks of fuel, oils and other fluids
      • Other checks regulated by the Vehicle Owner's Manual, which also describes the procedure for carrying out all the checks described above and control values.
    7. If the vehicle is used in severe conditions (see below section " Difficult conditions operation"), then the maintenance interval should be halved - every 7500 km or six months of operation. However, Hyundai does not have ways to determine whether the car is operated in normal or severe conditions, so each car owner determines for himself what are its operating conditions.
    8. After 150,000 km or 10 years of operation, whichever comes first, it is recommended to carry out maintenance at least at intervals of 15,000 km / 12 months. The list of works is determined according to the table for maintenance, which was 60 thousand km or 4 years ago (48 months). For example, for maintenance with a run of 165 thousand km, you need to use the TO-105 work list (because 165 - 60 = 105).

    *1 In the event that high-quality gasoline meeting the requirements of the European Fuel Standard (EN228) or similar standards is not commercially available, the use of fuel additives is recommended. It is recommended to add a bottle of additive to the fuel tank every 5000 km. Do not mix additives different brands.

    *2 Adjustment (if necessary, replacement) of the alternator drive belt, power steering pump, coolant pump, and air conditioning compressor drive belt (if equipped).

    *3 Inspect the drive belt tensioner, idler pulley and alternator pulley; if necessary, correct or replace.

    *4 The fuel filter is considered a maintenance-free component, but it is still recommended to check it periodically. The maintenance schedule depends on the quality of the fuel used. If serious problems occur (e.g., fuel restriction, uncontrolled surge, loss of power, difficulty starting the engine), replace the filter immediately, regardless of the maintenance schedule, it is also recommended to contact an authorized dealer Hyundai for more information.

    *5 Check engine oil level and leaks every 500 km or before a long trip

    *6 If there is a lot of engine noise and/or vibration, check (adjust if necessary).

    *7 When adding coolant, use only deionized or soft water in your vehicle and never add hard water to the coolant filled at the factory. Unsuitable coolant can lead to serious malfunctions or engine breakdown.

    *8 Cleaning, repair, adjustment, replacement of parts and assemblies, etc. additional work necessary to bring the car into a technically sound condition and not included in the list of mandatory work according to the maintenance schedule, are not taken into account by the factory standards for the labor intensity of a particular maintenance, so the final cost may change
