KAVZ activity

The plant was founded in 1958 and traditionally specialized in the production of buses of small capacity (from 21 to 30 seats).

In the 1990s, due to changes in the sectors of the national economy, including agriculture, consumer demand for small-capacity buses decreased. There was a need for the production of city buses in Russia large capacity.

KAVZ LLC

On June 19, 2003, KAVZ LLC (TIN 4501103580) was created, which became part of Oleg Deripaska's RusPromAvto holding, which breathed a second life into the plant. Modern lineup

At the end of 2007, with the discontinuation of the KAvZ-3976 family, the 50-year history of small class Kurgan bonneted buses on the chassis of GAZ trucks ended. Small-scale production of the half-bonneted bus KAvZ-3244, carried out by a subsidiary of Vika LTD LLC, was curtailed in 2007.

The KAvZ production program for 2009 consisted of rear-engined mid-size buses of the modernized Avrora family KAvZ-4235 and KAvZ-4238 for suburban and inter-district traffic, as well as the city low-floor midibus KAvZ-4239 on a Chinese chassis.

The model range of the plant includes buses of the middle class KAvZ-4235 and KAvZ-4238 "Aurora" in urban and suburban, school modification. In 2010, the Kurgan plant carried out the first stage of restyling basic models. The buses received a modified front mask, new engine, transmission, electrical equipment. History of bonnet buses KAVZ

The production of all bonnet buses KAVZ was discontinued at the end of 2007 in connection with the plans for the modernization of the enterprise and the transition to the production of fundamentally new products in the form of urban medium-sized low-floor buses model 4239, made on Chinese units (chassis and power point).
