tower crane KB-303 (KBK -100.1) is made on the basis of the nodes of the main model of this class - the Crane KB-100.1. The crane is full-revolving self-propelled, with a tubular swivel (unloaded) tower, beam boom. It is equipped with booms 20 and 25 m long and works when they are installed in a horizontal or inclined position. In the latter case, the carriage can move when the boom is tilted up to 12°30'. If the inclination of the carriage is greater, then it is fixed motionless at the end of the boom, and the crane works as with a conventional shunting boom.

The ladder for lifting the crane operator into the cab is placed inside the tower, and the cab itself is attached to the brackets in its upper part.

On the root part of the boom, which has a triangular section, a winch for the movement of the cargo carriage is installed, the ropes of the boom berth and limit switches for limiting the boom reach and carriage travel are also attached there. The counterweight of the crane consists of ten reinforced concrete slabs laid at the bottom on the rotary part of the crane.

The crane uses unified mechanisms: boom winch L-450-Sh, cargo winch - L-3.2-I, turning mechanism, four two-wheeled undercarriages and a cabin.

The crane is mounted and dismantled using its own mechanisms and truck cranes with a lifting capacity of at least 7 tons (AK-75, KS-3561, KS-3562). The crane can be transported between objects in assembled form on a trailer for MAZ-210 vehicles on a rolling cart.

The tower crane KB-306 (S-981) is designed for the construction of facilities up to 50 m high. is (Fig. 3) full-revolving self-propelled machine equipped with a multi-motor electric drive powered by the mains alternating current voltage 220/380 V. The load moment limiter of the crane allows you to get two cargo characteristics(Fig. 4). The transition from one to another is made by changing the multiplicity of the reeving of the cargo chain hoist.

The design of the crane allows you to get five additional assemblies, differing in the height of the tower and the length of the boom.

The crane consists of a running frame, a turntable, a tower, a boom, a hook suspension, chain hoists, a counterweight and ballast, a boom support, unified mechanisms, safety devices and electrical equipment. The boom and tower of a rectangular lattice structure are welded from corners. Sections are joined by hinged bolts. The counterweight and the ballast placed in the center consist of reinforced concrete slabs manufactured by the customer according to the drawings attached to the crane. The unified mechanisms and assemblies include a boom winch of the L-450-111 type, a cargo winch of the L-500-1 type, a turn Z-P-P, a ball turntable, four two-wheeled undercarriages (including two driving ones) and a driver's cab.

The S-981B tower rail crane (Fig. 5; 6; Table 3) is a modification of the KB-306 crane, in contrast to which it has a beam boom with a cargo carriage. The load moment limiter allows you to get two load characteristics. Their switching is carried out by changing the ratio of the reeving of the cargo chain hoist. The lifting capacity of the crane can be changed by attaching the carriage and working as with a shunting boom. The arrow is made of corners and has a triangular section. A cargo carriage moves along its lower belts.

The rail-mounted tower crane KB-401 (KB-1602) is designed for mechanization of the construction of objects up to 60 m high and is a fully revolving self-propelled model (Fig. 7; 8; Table 4) equipped with a shunting boom without a carriage. The hauling rope reeving system is designed in such a way that the hook movement trajectory of this crane remains close to the horizontal when the outreach changes. The crane tower is grown from below in separate sections as the structure is erected. Tower and boom of the crane are lattice, rectangular section made of hot-rolled and cold-drawn pipes.

Element of the tower, arranged like a lattice of metal. It has racks, stairs, platforms.

At the very top of the head, a boom bracing, a cargo rope are attached. There is a device for removing lightning, an anemometer.

head section

Blocks of two ropes are attached to it for moving carts and goods. Installed at the top signal fire, at the bottom - buffer stops for trolleys.

control cabin

The device is held on special mounts at the top of the tower. It is a cabin for cranes operating at a height of no more than 20 meters. Compared to its predecessor, K-160 has improved technical devices, heating panels.

girder boom

Individual structural elements are welded and interlocked by means of flange parts. The elements themselves are made of metal. On them there is a movement of the cart moving the load. With the help of the latter, the boom departure is changed.

Running frame

On a structure with dimensions of 7.5 x 7.5 meters (four-ring frame) there are rotating weather vanes on which the carts are held. A knife switch is held on the undercarriage of the crane.

Weathercocks have two states:

Crane trolleys - 4. A couple of them use an electric drive, the rest do not.

Rails for KB-408 can be used in two types:

As additional parts, KB-408 has various elements: a brace, a hook part and a mounting device and other fasteners:

In order to increase maximum height lift up to 77 meters, the boom is tilted at an angle of 30 degrees. The boom reach to the maximum in this case will be only 50 meters, the load capacity, however, in this case is only one and a half tons.

For maintenance of KB-408 there is a platform fixed to the base of the boom.

How to manage

The design of the beam boom allows you to more smoothly direct the load to the installation site.

The tower crane is controlled by special software and hardware located in the cockpit, in particular, controllers and radio-controlled consoles.

Switching landing and lifting speed is done by means of a single switch.

In 1982, the Leningrad Association "Lenstroymash" and the Rustavi Crane Building Plant developed technical documentation for the modernized KB-100.3A tower crane, replacing the KB-100.3 and KB-100.1A tower cranes. The modernization was carried out in order to increase performance indicators crane and, first of all, productivity by increasing the speed of lifting the load and lowering the idle hook, as well as in order to reduce the complexity of manufacturing the crane.
The modernized tower crane KB-100.3A is designed for mechanization of construction in the construction of residential, administrative and industrial buildings up to 9 floors high with lifting building elements weighing up to 8 T. The crane is designed for easy mode work in I - V wind regions at an ambient temperature of +40 to -40°C.
The new modernized tower crane KB-100.3A has two versions: KB-100.3A-1 (basic version) with a tower for nine-story construction and KB-100.3A-2 with a shortened tower (without insert) for five-story construction.
Pilot samples of tower cranes of two versions, manufactured by the Rustavi Crane Building Plant, have successfully passed acceptance tests and are recommended for mass production.
