It is sad that they will not bring their new products to Frankfurt in the current Mitsubishi Motors and Volvo. Frankfurt Auto Show: about specific
Volkswagen, in the absence of its main competitors, felt very at ease and has already officially announced its intention to show its new next-generation VW Polo in Frankfurt. Currently, on the Web, you can find the creative fantasies of freelance artists who represent the new product with a very compact, slightly similar to the “older” Arteon model, at least with a radiator grille. New Audi A8, Audi RS 4 Avant and two more Audi premieres at the 67th Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA)
Audi offers its customers two eco-friendly alternatives in the middle class: the new A4 Avant g-tron and the new A5 Sportback g-tron. Both models are powered by a bivalent 2.0-TFSI engine with 170 hp. It runs either on the climate-friendly Audi e-gas branded fuel, methane (CNG = compressed natural gas) or petrol.
The Audi A4 Avant g-tron and A5 Sportback g-tron advertise practicality with a range of 950 km, of which up to 500 km on gas.
2.0-TFSI engine develops 170 hp. and a torque of 270 Nm. The A4 Avant g-tron with the S tronic gearbox consumes 3.8 kg of gas per hundred on the combined cycle, while CO2 emissions are 102 g / km. On gasoline, respectively, 5.5 l / 100 km and 126 g / km.
In the case of a manual 6-speed gearbox, the A5 Sportback g-tron accelerates to hundreds in just 8.5 seconds, the maximum speed is 226 km/h (A4 Avant g-tron: 223 km/h).
When the pressure in the cylinder drops to 10 bar (corresponding to a residual gas of 0.6 kg), the engine automatically switches to petrol. The most environmentally friendly way, however, is to drive with Audi e-gas. It is synthesized from water and CO2, or from organic waste such as straw or leaves. The Audi e-gas then absorbs exactly as much CO2 from the atmosphere as it then releases while driving.

Bentley Continental GT is a mass model for this brand. Next year, the next generation will appear, presented today in Frankfurt. The GT has shed 200 kilos, while its W12 has been boosted to 635 hp. So now acceleration to the first hundred will take less than 4 seconds, and in total you can sink up to 330 km / h. Other innovations include a new set of assistants, huge displays and a 48-volt on-board network.

BMW has unveiled an updated GT (Gran Turismo) that combines the ride comfort of a high-end sedan with the aesthetics of a coupe. Wide application aluminum and high-strength steels reduced the weight compared to its predecessor by 150 kg.
Together with improved aerodynamics, increased power and efficiency of the new engines, this adds to the sportiness and at the same time improves economy. Depending on the engine, acceleration to hundreds was reduced by 0.7 s. Fuel consumption decreased by 15%. Serial equipment included a rear air suspension with automatic clearance control.
The length of the machine has increased by 87 mm to 5091 mm, the height has decreased by 21 mm to 1538 mm. The width remained unchanged (1902 mm).
Coefficient drag decreased from 0.29 to 0.25 thanks to active air intake valves and other measures: Air Curtains, Air Breather and an automatic spoiler.
The engines of the new BMW 6er Gran Turismo are equipped with TwinPower Turbo technology and are combined with an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox. The 2-liter engine of the BMW 630i Gran Turismo develops 258 hp. and 400 Nm. This ensures acceleration to hundreds in 6.3 seconds with an average fuel consumption of only 6.6 l / 100 km.
The 3-liter in-line diesel produces 265 hp. and 620 Nm. With it, the BMW 630d xDrive GT accelerates in 6.0 seconds at just 5.3 l/100 km.
The updated X3 has not changed much in appearance, except that the nostrils are slightly swollen. Yes, foglights are no longer round, but hexagonal. But a lot of new under the hood. For the first time in this family, the "M" version appeared. So, the X3 M40i extracts as much as 360 hp from its inline three-liter six. and accelerates to hundreds in 4.8 s. And in 2020, the X3 will be the first non-i model with pure electric drive.
But the i3 electric car has already been redesigned. Now stand as a battery lithium-ion batteries energy consumption of 33 kWh. Which theoretically should provide a power reserve of 300 km in regular version or 280 km in a sporty i3s. The latter has 14 hp. more, and the clearance, on the contrary, is reduced.

BMW Alpina The D5 S is the world's most powerful mass-produced diesel car today! Its in-line 3-liter six produces between 4000 and 5000 rpm. (and this in itself is unusual for a diesel!) 388 hp. And the torque at 1750 - 2650 rpm. reaches 800 Newtonometers.
D5 S accelerates to hundreds in 4.4 seconds, and to 200 km / h in 17 seconds. The maximum speed is 286 km / h. At the same time, in a standard combined cycle, i.e., with a quiet ride, he has enough 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers. The all-wheel drive diesel car has a sports chassis, a differential lock, a "driver feel switch" (that's right!) and an 8-speed ZF sports automatic. The D5 S is available in sedan and wagon body styles. From November, the diesel supercar will be available in Europe for 87,900 euros.
Brabus
Brabus showed the Rocket 900 super convertible, based on the Mercedes-Benz S 65. Surprisingly, he received a road permit. Judge for yourself: 900 hp, 1500 Newtonometers, 3.9 s to hundreds and a maximum speed indicated as “over 350 km/h”. These parameters make the car the world's fastest 4-seater convertible with a permit.
This was achieved by increasing the working volume of V12 from 6 to 6.3 liters. Frantic power is transmitted to the rear wheels (!) Through a specially modified seven-speed DSG box. At the same time, it had to reach 4200 rpm. limit torque to 1200 Nm.
Brabus Rocket 900 6.3 V12 can be bought both as a complete set and as a conversion order on an existing Mercedes-Benz S 65 Cabriolet. Appetite? Healthy: 13.9 l/100 km. in a standard mixed cycle. At maximum speed, it is probably limitless.
Chery
Chery launches in European markets with a new compact SUV.
Chery will test the chances of selling new cars in key markets for private and corporate customers. In addition, it is planned to open new research and design centers in Europe.

Dacia
Dacia has brought perhaps the most interesting world premiere of the Duster for us. New SUV received modern design, which further emphasizes the robustness of the model. Ferrari has brought a new GT-model Portofino. Its V8 turbo engine develops 600 hp, which is enough to reach 320 km / h and accelerate to hundreds in 3.5 seconds. The Ferrari Portofino is the most powerful convertible with a relatively spacious cabin for two riders in front and two more in the back for short trips.
The new chassis is much lighter than the California T's predecessor. The Design Center boasts a Two-Box body style, new for a hardtop coupe-convertible.
Particular emphasis has been placed on comfort with a 10.2-inch touchscreen entertainment system, 18-way electrically adjustable front seats and climate control that works even with the roof down! The wind deflector reduces cabin airflow and noise by 30%.

Ford brought several new products, but all of them are only of the European level, the Americans are already familiar with it.
Ford Mustang became sleeker, faster and more modern, even though it's a classic. It has a more powerful V8, a modified chassis and a lot of electronic assistants. The 5.0L engine has been boosted to an impressive 450 Mustangs. In addition to this engine, there is also a more familiar one for Europeans. 2.3-litre petrol turbo four with direct injection, developing also quite worthy 290 hp. A 10-speed automatic with instantaneous gear changes has also become a novelty.
The list of options includes shock absorbers with the MagneRide system, which also instantly responds to the quality of the road surface. In addition to the already known driving modes "Normal", "Sport", "Track" and "Rain / Snow", an unusual freely configurable driver "My Mode" and "Drag" appeared, with which a cannon shot from a traffic light is guaranteed in less than 4 seconds before hundreds.
Assistants are quite familiar to modern Europeans, a 12-inch display reigns on the instrument panel. The Ford SYNC 3 voice control system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It uses an additional 8-inch touch screen.
Ford EcoSport for the first time received a version with all-wheel drive and a new 1.5-liter 125-horsepower EcoBlue turbodiesel. And front-wheel-drive variants are powered by an award-winning 1-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine tuned for 100, 125 or 140 hp. In addition to all this, a sports version of the model with the ST index appeared.
Ford Tourneo Custom was equipped with a particularly flexible interior for 9 people. This is the only model in the segment that has 6 individual seats in the second and third rows that can be deployed for meetings. Climate control is also improved here, there are 6 USB ports and a ten-speaker audio system.
The power unit is based on a 170-horsepower EcoBlue turbodiesel and a high-speed 6-speed SelectShift automatic. air suspension rear axle provides excellent rider comfort.
Honda
Honda introduced the 2018 Jazz for the first time in Europe. In addition to new design elements, it can be ordered with a 1.5-liter petrol i-VTEC motor 130 hp

The optional CVT has been redesigned to run smoother under acceleration.

Hyundai

Hyundai introduced three new products: the Lifestyle-SUV Kona, the i30 N High-Performance compact sports car and the i30 Fastback five-door sports coupe.
Kona expands its current Tucson, Santa Fe and Grand Santa Fe SUV portfolio down. This is the first of Hyundai models in Germany with Head-up display. By the start of sales this fall, it will offer two gasoline turbo engines with direct injection with a capacity of 120 and 177 hp. An all-new diesel is expected in 2018 with two maximum power settings. In addition, an electric version of the Kona is also planned.
Hyundai i30 N is the brand's first extremely powerful car. Its two-liter four develops 250 and even 275 hp. In the latter case, the i30 N Performance has an electronically controlled differential and a sport muffler with adjustable valves. Sales start in October.
Hyundai i30 Fastback will appear early next year and is a five-door with a silhouette typical of a coupe. In addition to the roof line, the design of the front and rear has also been changed.
The 4.40m Jaguar E-Pace will go on sale early next year for €34,950. With the exception of the basic front-wheel drive version with a mechanical six-speed, the company equips this model with all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic from ZF. But the engines under the hood are only 4-cylinder, and are installed across. From a working volume of 2 liters of diesel, 150, 180 or 240 hp are extracted, and turbocharged gasoline engines - 249 and 300 horses.

Interestingly, in addition to the 4-seater version, the company also offers a double version specially for indoor tracks. It has carbon seats, rollover protection and a cross beam for attaching seat belts. A total of 300 such cars will be produced, and all of them are left-hand drive. €180,000 – and one of them could be yours as early as mid-2018.
The new flagship of the XJ lineup, the Jaguar XJR 575, has essentially the same V8 under the hood, only tuned for 575bhp. Its maximum speed is 300 km / h, and the dynamics - 4.4 s to hundreds.

Kia developed small crossover B-class Stonic. This name is made up of the English words ‚speedy‘ and ‚tonic‘.
Stonic has soft lines and compact size with a lower center of mass. The characteristic roofline and railings give it a sporty touch. The interior stands out for ergonomics and modern technology. The touch screen of the center console allows you to control your smartphone and numerous vehicle settings.
Kia Picanto X-Line is a new version of the company's smallest car. The X-Line has a crossover look inspired by Sportage design and Sorento. This Picanto received a clearance increased by 15 mm (up to 156 mm) and eye-catching exterior details, such as black fender flares. A higher seating position gives the driver better visibility.
Under the hood of the novelty, a turbocharged liter engine with a capacity of 100 hp is installed. - the strongest in the family.
Kia Sorento has undergone a facelift and found a sports GT, as well as a new 8-speed automatic for the 2.2-liter diesel. Outwardly, the novelty is given by new bumpers, LED headlights and black grille.

Mercedes-AMG celebrated the world premiere of its Project One: the two-seat supersport car brings Formula 1 technology to the regular roads. Much is not reported about it, but it is quite enough to keep 1000 hp in mind when examining it. and 350 km/h.
Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 Cabrio is a special "stop car" of the exhibition. This is a convertible almost 6 m long for the oligarchs. Its 750 hp electric motor. will satisfy any pilot. However, the supercar can go without it!
Another premiere of the company is the X-class pickup truck. At a price of around 37,000 euros, this is just a "copy" of the Nissan Navara and is intended for developing countries. The 5.3 m long all-wheel drive giant is durable, passable and practical.

Opel pleased in Frankfurt with six premieres at once and, above all, the 4.48 m long Grandland X SUV created in cooperation with the French concern PSA. The car has adaptive speed control with pedestrian recognition and automatic braking in case of danger. In addition, you can find a driver fatigue recognition system, automatic parking sensors, all-round video cameras and adaptive LED headlights.
But that's not all. We continue to bend our fingers and toes: Intelli-Grip electronic traction control, certified ergonomic front seats, heated steering wheel, heated all seats, non-contact rear door opening and closing with a wave of the foot, several network access systems ...
The Insignia family will be replenished with three new members at once. In addition to having grown in height by 2 cm and equipped with the attributes of an all-wheel drive SUV Country Tourer, Opel showed and especially the sporty GSi. The GSi is also known to be a good 160 kilos lighter than the comparable 2.8 V6 Turbo OPC. Finally, the third novelty of the family will be the especially premium Insignia Exclusive. It features a "High Gloss-Black" finish with a high-gloss black grille and the same surrounds for windows, mirrors and more. Standard equipment includes the Navi 900 Intelli-Link navigator with an 8-inch touchscreen, sun protection glass and Intelli-Matrix headlights. Lux LED Matrix.
The Country-Tourer also received a lighter chassis, an updated assistance kit and matrix headlights with 32 IntelliLux LED segments.
Standard equipment now includes premium FlexRide suspension, hill start assist, front camera with pedestrian detection, automatic city braking, lane keeping system, autoamt high beam, automatic tunnel recognition including dipped beam, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, and flexible seating.

The most powerful petrol turbo engine develops 260 hp. and is mated to a new 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The most powerful turbodiesel develops 170 hp. and can also be mated with all-wheel drive.
For road trips, the ground clearance is increased by 25 mm, there is a Torque Vectoring torque distribution system and a new five-link rear suspension.

The Funkfurt Motor Show has started in Germany - one of the most important motor shows of the year, where leading automakers talk about what people will drive both in the near future and in the distant future. The show opened here for the 67th time: the event alternates with the Paris Motor Show and takes place every two years. Traditionally, journalists were the first to get acquainted with all the novelties, but from September 14, having paid 14 euros for a ticket, everyone will be able to evaluate the exhibits on wheels.
New cars in the old format
Despite the growing criticism of the ossified format of car dealerships, the exhibition opened and takes place in the traditional form: in advance famous brands in the prescribed manner and within a strict time frame, they present their premieres and significant novelties. Even if this does not sound very modern, advanced humanity has not yet invented another way to show the future of the whole industry in a couple of days.
This time around, brands such as Nissan, Volvo, Peugeot, DS, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Infiniti and Mitsubishi, which together account for about 20% of European sales, have decided to skip the event.
There are many reasons for this - from pragmatic savings (participation in such image shows costs hundreds of thousands of euros) to unwillingness to compete with German brands, which traditionally receive maximum attention from guests at a home showroom. Someone preferred to hold separate presentations of their main models, while someone waited until October international motor show in Tokyo.
Despite such losses in the ranks, about 50 brands brought their world premieres and novelties to Frankfurt, and some of them have good prospects to be in Russia.
Nevertheless, the main trend - widespread electrification traditionally bypasses Russia, where the market is still pulled up by inexpensive models.

The most impressive at the exhibition turned out to be a separate Mercedes-Benz pavilion, resembling a multi-level palace in the form of a spiral from the inside, climbing the steps of which you can see, for example, one of the most expensive concept cars in the world - the Mercedes-AMG Project One supercar, which is built using Formula 1 technologies. A total of 275 copies will be made and there are already orders for all of them - the price of a design miracle is about 2.275 million euros.

By 2030, Volkswagen intends to make electric versions of each of the group's models, of which there are about 300. For these purposes, in particular, about 20 billion euros will be spent.
At the same time, Muller said that consumers will need electric cars that can cover up to 1 thousand km without recharging and promised that in addition to working on “clean” diesel engines, the concern will also be engaged in the processing of electric batteries, which, by the way, in Russia, against the backdrop of attempts to draw attention to electric cars, is still not very readily spoken about.
At the exhibition, VW showed the electric car I.D. CROZZ ll - his previous version already shown at the Shanghai Motor Show. The electric vehicle is equipped with a 306 hp engine. and has a power reserve of up to 500 km on a single battery charge.

This, in particular, "Gazeta.Ru" said the head of the Volkswagen Group in Russia Markus. For 10 years of the brand's operation in Russia, the concern has invested 1.75 billion euros, of which about 500 million euros in the crisis year of 2014, and is now assessing its future prospects.
“The automotive business in Russia is actually not very profitable,” Ozegovich told Gazeta.Ru. — Producers are still heavily dependent on government assistance and policies and have not reached the point where they can be fully independent and competitive in the international arena. It is very disturbing that the state is more and more immersed in the details of the automotive business.
Officials want specific, very specific things. And very often it turns out that the reasons for these desires are not business logic or profit, but political motives.
At present, a strategy for the development of the Russian automotive industry is being finalized, which will include mechanisms for state support and simulation of the auto business. But in many ways, our logic differs from what the state proposes - we believe that the Russian auto industry cannot exist separately from the world without being part of it in terms of components and technologies. It is impossible to simply say - we will produce everything ourselves and will only export. But it is very difficult to realize this in the current political environment.”
According to Ozegovic, the concern cannot yet confidently announce new models for Russia or plans for their production and localization, since too much depends on what conditions for business will be spelled out in the final version of the Automotive Industry Development Strategy, the adoption of which is constantly being postponed.
At the same time, speaking about the prices for cars in Russia, Ozegovic said that they are still too low. “I understand that people in Russia think that cars are too expensive and prices are constantly rising. But we need to evaluate inflation and the depreciation of the ruble, which we have observed over the past few years.
Compared to world prices, cars in Russia are still too cheap. Purchasing power, wages have fallen significantly due to the crisis. But prices have not caught up to the current level of inflation, in addition, we all depend on the prices of raw materials that are sold for dollars and euros.”
