Self-adjustment and adjustment of fog lights. Fog lights - we study the structure, purpose and functioning Adjusting the light of fog lights

All drivers, for sure, will be very interested in which bulbs are installed in fog lights. After all, these elements are very important in the car, thanks to them it is possible to move safely in difficult weather conditions such as snowfall, rain, fog. It would seem that there are ordinary headlights, why else foglights? Let's talk about all this below.

Fog lights - what is the feature of radiation?

What is hidden behind the glass of the fog lamp?

The device of foglights is almost the same as conventional headlights: a body, a paraboloid-type reflector, a light source and a diffuser. In order for visibility during rain or fog to be good, it is necessary that the upper boundary of the beam be clear, which means that neither the light from the lamp itself nor the reflected beam should go above the horizontal plane. For good lighting pavement, they should be located as close to the road as possible, but not lower than 25 centimeters above the ground.

Nature itself also influences this. After all, the fog does not spread along the ground itself, but a little higher.

The first reflectors were round, but later ellipsoidal ones were proposed, the fact is that such reflectors have two foci at once. In a parabolic reflector, the light source is located at the focal point, because of this, the reflector directs the beam along the central axis, and the diffuser, in turn, expands this beam, thereby forming a horizontal strip. A special screen prevents the beam from being projected upwards. So we got the optimal lighting device for foggy conditions.

Fog lamp button and "smart" glow mode

Lamps in fog lights are installed both and halogen. It is impossible to unequivocally answer which of them is better, since the first ones shine brighter, but because of this they can blind other drivers. And if you installed them personally, and they were not provided for by the design of the car, then it is quite possible that you may have problems with the traffic police. The device itself provides all the necessary elements, fuses and relays, in addition, you may only need a button for fog lights to turn them on for a short time, and control indicators for operation.

With the momentary power button, you can give someone prearranged signal and “flashing” foglights, this is often practiced among drivers to warn each other about a traffic police post. In order to protect yourself from an accident, the SDA states that the driver must mark his vehicle while driving at any time of the day. This can be done with low beam headlights or daytime running lights. It is possible to use fog lights in DRL mode (daytime running lights).

By connecting the fog lamp relays to the necessary connectors, we get the following: when the engine is started, they turn on in DRL mode, but as soon as you turn on the dimensions, they immediately go out. If you need to turn them on again, then you need to turn the regular switch. This is a rather convenient and necessary function, especially considering new traffic rules. So you don't have to always remember that every time you go out in a car, you need to turn on something that you are not used to at all.

Today, automotive lighting includes many elements. It's not only head optics, but also additional light as well as fog lights. In this article, we will figure out what PTF is, what they should be, the principles of operation and whether it is advisable to use them at all.

- these are devices that must emit white or saturated yellow light. But it is worth noting that both lamps in the headlights that are installed on the vehicle must have the same tone of light. The beam of light should be flat, wide and horizontal, which lies directly above the road, which makes it possible to better illuminate the area in heavy fog or rain. PTF is not required. additional devices, which are located under the head optics. They can be located both on the bumper and directly in the head optics of the car.

Why do you need PTF in a car?

Fog lights are necessary for use in difficult meteorological conditions:

The light from conventional lamps that are installed in the head optics cannot cope with difficult weather conditions. Rays of near and high beam head optics from the smallest drops of moisture or snow are reflected and scattered, which creates a translucent wall, which affects the deterioration of the quality of visibility on the road. Due to the fact that the fog lights provide a wide beam of light, the roadside is well illuminated, which makes it easier to drive on winding roads. In addition, in difficult weather conditions, fog lights distinguish the car well from other road users, and this affects the increase in road safety. You can watch a fascinating video about driving in the fog at the end of the article.

In order for foglights to provide good visibility roads, they must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a clear upper boundary of the beam of light. Accordingly, neither the reflected light nor even the light from the source itself should be above the horizontal plane.
  • Headlights should be mounted on the vehicle as low as possible. It is this criterion that provides high-quality visibility, since there is always a certain gap between the road and the fog layer, which should be illuminated.
  • If the PTFs do not meet these two criteria, then the bright light will be reflected from the smallest drops of moisture, which are a component of the fog and, accordingly, blind the driver vehicle.

Yellow PTF - why is it more effective?

It is recommended to use lamps emitting yellowish light in fog lamps, since it is less scattered, therefore, provides best effect and visibility. This is due to the fact that it is the light that is scattered the most that has a shorter wavelength - the blue part of the spectrum. The light filter that makes up the fog lights cuts off the blue part of the spectrum and turns white into yellow light, which has a long wavelength. Note that in case of fog there is always a free lane between it and the road, but it is not there in case of rain, snowfall, smoke or dust. It is in such cases that fog lamps provide good visibility due to a clear upper border of light.

By traffic rules and GOST 8769-75, it is allowed to install fog lamps only in the amount of two pieces. Location:

According to the rules of the Economic Commission for Europe, there are Additional requirements for installing fog lights:

  • They should be located no higher than the low-beam headlights;
  • Visibility angle - vertical from +15 to -10 degrees, and horizontal from +45 to -10 degrees;

PTF must be included exclusively with the dimensions of the vehicle.

Requirements for the fog lights themselves

Each headlight must have an official certificate of compliance with all the regulations of the Economic Commission for Europe. Those products that have successfully passed the certification, on the diffuser or on protective glass headlights are completed with international confirmation, that is, a special indelible inscription. The sign must indicate:

  • Information about the country that issued the official PTF confirmation and certification. Usually the country is indicated in a square;
  • Confirmation number;
  • headlight category.

It is very important that fog lights have a category designation so that their further purpose is clear. There are such categories of headlights and their designations:

C - low beam;
R - high beam;
H - headlights for mounting exclusively halogen lamps;
PL - plastic light diffuser;
S - glass integral optical element;
B - fog lamp.

The fact that fog lights significantly improve visibility in poor visibility and on the sides of the car is beyond doubt. The fog reflector is designed in such a way as to create uniform illumination around the headlight, which explains why high efficiency PTF. But as for the rear fog lights, for many drivers it remains not entirely clear why they are needed, and whether they are needed at all, because they do not carry any obvious practical benefit.

And even vice versa. Rear fog lights when driving in dark time days, according to many motorists, only interfere, because they interfere with the review, and the brake light of the car in front becomes difficult to distinguish. However, most vehicles are standardly equipped with rear fog lights, and it is illegal to remove them from the car structure on your own - it will become impossible to pass a technical inspection without them.

Does the car need ZPTF

The rear fog lamps, if they are structurally provided on the car, cannot be removed independently. ZPTF are designed to more correctly designate a vehicle in conditions insufficient visibility. As a rule, such headlights are designed for the installation of standard incandescent lamps - special brightness is not required here. There are also no clear standards regarding the connection scheme - at self installation it is better to use a separate rear fog lamp relay.

The presence of rear fog lights allows you to bad weather avoid collision of two cars. For example, when heavy snow, rain or fog. They are initially somewhat brighter than simple dimensions, and are located at some distance from them, so they turn out to be quite effective. Naturally, without the need to turn on the rear fog lights, it’s still not worth it - in clear weather, at night, they interfere with other drivers.

If ZPTF are absent

Not all vehicles are factory equipped with SPTF. According to GOST R 51709-2001, the presence of rear fog lights on a car is mandatory. Therefore, many motorists are forced to install them on their own - otherwise, certain difficulties arise during the inspection. This is due to the fact that a car without a ZPTF does not comply with GOST. It should be noted right away that such requirements apply only to vehicles manufactured in 2006 and older.

Another important point, which is often “forgotten” by traffic police inspectors - if the rear fog lights are not provided structurally, the driver is not obliged to install them on their own - GOST requirements apply only to manufacturers, not consumers. If the ZPTF is nevertheless installed independently, then this is done not haphazardly, but according to certain rules - if the installation is incorrect, the inspector's refusal when trying to pass the MOT will be completely legitimate.

The number of ZPTF can be one or two. If one headlight is installed, then it is placed only on the left side. If there are two ZPTFs, then they are placed at a height not exceeding one meter from the ground level, and not less than 25 cm from it.

Important! The width between them is not regulated in any way, but there is important point, obligatory to observe - the distance between the ZPTF and each brake light cannot be less than 100 mm.

How to use the rear fog lights

When the rear fog lights are installed by the automaker, the question of how to turn on the rear fog lights and how to turn them off is determined by him - the driver can only press the buttons. In the case of self-installation of this equipment, there are a lot of connection options, but you cannot use the ZPTF as you please - this procedure is quite strictly regulated, and cannot be changed independently.

So, according to the law, ZPTF can only be switched on together with head lighting or front fog lights, and they should only burn in a constant mode. They are switched off parallel to another external lighting equipment, and should not be included as separate equipment. Under no circumstances allowed teamwork rear fog lights and brake lights that come on when the car is braked.

With self-installation, the choice of headlight type is at the discretion of the car owner. The law does not provide for any restrictions or conditions for the PPTF. The headlights can crash into the bumper, in the manner of the front ones, and mounted options can also be used, on special mounts. The main thing is to observe the above features of the installation. When using mounted options, you need to take care of the reliability of fastening.

Some features of operation

In most cases, a housing designed for a halogen or incandescent lamp, marked "H", is used for the rear fog lamp. This suggests that it is forbidden to install another type of lamp, in particular xenon, in them. When installing mounted ZPTFs, it is extremely important to set the correct angle of inclination - the headlight should not blind the drivers behind.

Because the rear end the car is quite heavily polluted during operation, it is necessary to constantly monitor the cleanliness of the ZPTF, otherwise the meaning of their inclusion is completely lost, and when driving in conditions of insufficient visibility, the car may simply be unnoticed on the road, which will inevitably lead to an accident. A little about the repair of the ZPTF on the video:

Like any modern car, the VAZ "ten" was constantly improved in the process of mass production. However, all modifications concerned the initially installed components and assemblies of the vehicle. For example, the front fog lights were not included in the external lighting of the car, but both the relay and the button were installed in the electrical circuit. PTF management.

Electrical Equipment Auto Parts: Tail. The taillights of modern cars are lights and stoplights or brake lights. Taillights are used to indicate vehicles at dusk or when visibility is limited. Lights along with stoplights or brake lights are used when they are difficult to see due to fog. In the car, a pair of red lights are installed on both sides in the same line. If necessary, the driver can set the viewing angles of the light and side without any assistance.

Brake lights or brake lights are the second component of tail lights. They light up when the driver presses the brake pedal. It should be noted that the light of the stop or brake signal is brighter than the light rear lamp. Like beacons, this component is installed in pairs. By the way, in the event of a failure of the brake lights or brake lights, the driver signals with his hand that he wants to stop.

For reference: in the rear block headlights, the marker lamp had a second filament, which served as fog lamps.
It was activated using a button on the front panel and made it possible to improve the visibility of the car in conditions of poor visibility for other traffic participants driving behind.

Historical reference

The four-door sedan VAZ 2110 was produced by the Volga Automobile Plant from 1995 to 2007. And unlike the usual "Zhiguli", the model was positioned as a car of a higher class.

Advantages of this system

This is why automakers face many challenges when exporting cars to Australia and New Zealand. The problem was solved by merging the functions of the taillights and taillights. If the brake light or brake lights or tail lights don't work, don't go to the repair shop. Firstly, the cost of a new car part will be very high. Second, it's not as hard to replace a worn out light as you might think. Obviously you will save your time and money if you order online.

In particular, the car was equipped with:

  1. electronic engine control system (ECM);
  2. diagnostic unit (on-board computer);
  3. galvanized metal was actively used in body parts;
  4. the body was painted using a new, more advanced technology.

Features of electrical equipment

In addition, the automaker carried out factory preparation for installation:

How to detect background faults. Background checks can be done on your own or with the help of auto experts. First, visually check the part: it should not have visible damage. It is good practice to diagnose lamps, electrical circuits, fuses, coil relays. Specialists service station checks are carried out using a specialized device - a tester. The latter allows accurate fault detection.

You may notice that the backlight requires diagnostics with the following signals. Bulbs are frequently replaced; condensation that accumulates inside the building; some lamps are completely or partially destroyed; the indicator flashes or lights up; The light bulb is weak. Causes of failures rear light.

  • electric windows;
  • power steering;
  • fog lamps in the front bumper.

Note!
The ECM was installed even on the VAZ-2110 with a carburetor power system and had differences from later models with a fuel injection system.

Wiring diagram VAZ 2110

Due to their location, rear lights are at high risk mechanical damage. The rumble of rocks and foreign objects, refusal to park, neglect of other road users can all cause cracks, scratches and cuts to the surfaces of components. Abrasive wear can occur due to poor handling, such as when cleaning dirt with dry cloths.

How the device in question works

Often, a breach of the integrity of the electrical installation can be a key factor in the failure of the rear lights. This is usually caused by contamination, wet contacts and connectors, damaged insulation, changes in current in electrical circuit, poor connection of elements, installation of components Low quality and other factors.

For reference: on models with a carburetor, the button for turning on the rear foglights had an intermediate position (fixation), thereby acting as a kind of contact protection.

That is why, since 2000, on models with electronic system contacts needed to be better protected. Therefore, a relay was installed in the PTF control circuit between the button in the cabin and the “+”. And the button itself has been replaced with a two-mode one.

What you need to know about the device

Many of the shortcomings of the rear lights are caused by the depressurization of their premises. The introduction of moisture and dirt causes a destructive effect on the reflector and contacts and causes light condensation. Usually the repair rear lighting includes replacement of fused bulbs, sockets, cleaning contacts and connectors. Sometimes it is not necessary to remove components to fix defects: all you need to do is access the back cover of the light box, remove it, remove the socket and remove the lamp by removing the clips.

Note!
The two-mode non-fixed operation algorithm provides that the button acts as a switch on the relay circuit.
Those. closes the contacts with a small current, thereby avoiding the passage of high voltage through its contacts.

The illustration shows:

  1. fog lights (front);
  2. PTF enable relay with pins 30, 85.86 and 87;
  3. mounting block to which the relay is connected;
  4. outdoor lighting switch on the instrument panel;
  5. button for turning on the fog lights;

Also marked with letters:

  1. to the power source (generator and battery);
  2. to the instrument lighting switch.

Fog lights VAZ 2110

Owners of cars of the tenth family different years releases were in an unequal position, because, firstly, they had a different electrical circuit:

  1. Button for turning on the rear PTF with fixation and without a protection relay (in models up to 2000 onwards);
  2. Non-latching button and with a relay in the PTF switching circuit (models from 2000 onwards).

Note!
When installing PTF in the bumper, be sure to order the manufacture of stickers for the headlights.
This film will protect glass from flying stones and plant branches.

PTF service

At the same time, many owners of the first "ten" do not know where the fog lamp fuse is located. And in the event of a malfunction, they do not know how to replace it.

On models after 2000 onwards. fuses are grouped in a single block.

Their technical parameters are as follows:

  • The rear PTF fuse is marked F20 and is rated for a current of 7.5A;
  • The F4 10A fuse is responsible for protecting the front right foglight;
  • The F 14 10A fuse is responsible for protecting the front left foglight.

The algorithm of the fog lights has also been changed.

In particular:

  1. The headlights are turned on by pressing the button that supplies power to the relay type 113.3747, installed in mounting block;
  2. Turning on PTF on VAZ 2110 cars, it is possible only if the headlight switch is set to the outdoor lighting position.

In other words, PTFs are activated only with side lights or low beam headlights. At the same time, the inclusion is displayed to the driver using a light indicator on the button and on the instrument panel.

There are no particular problems with replacing the lamps in the headlights, since they were installed in the open position for maintenance. But with the rear lamps, I had to suffer a little, since the entire design of the block headlight was located in the trunk lid.

Finally

We express confidence that the material presented in this article will help the owners of the "tens" to better understand the features of the regular foglights. And in the video in this article you will find Additional materials on this topic.

If you install fog lights on the VAZ 2110, you can kill two birds with one stone. Namely - to transform the appearance of the car, and increase the level of their own safety, add comfort to driving at night.

Therefore, today we will talk about how to connect fog lights to the VAZ 2110, what is required for this and what result you will be able to achieve in the end.

Why do you need foglights

The very name "fog" lights already speaks of their essence. Their light penetrates through the fog, the wall of rain, and contributes to more efficient illumination of the road.

The presence of PTF provides three important advantages.

  1. PTF or foglights are characterized by a flatter luminous flux, which literally spreads above the ground, spreads more in width than in height. This was done on purpose, since the temperature of the roadway is higher than the temperature of the air, fog, because it does not fall to the ground itself. Consequently, fog lights provide a certain range of illumination compared to conventional headlights. You will see about 10 meters farther than when low beam is on.
  2. The width of the PTF light beam allows you to see the markings, the roadside, which will allow you to make a maneuver in time, not to be outside the roadway. Alas, in foggy conditions this is a common occurrence. Moreover, those who do not have foglights suffer much more often. It is a fact.
  3. PTF does not blind oncoming cars, but allows them to see you. Only if the headlights are correctly adjusted, of course. Therefore, the fog lights on the car have big influence to safety by alerting oncoming vehicles to your approach.

Fog light glass color question

On older vehicles, the fog lamp glass had yellow, because many believe that this should be the case now, it is more correct and more efficient.

In fact, everything is different. Today, leaders in the automotive industry exclusively use clear glass for fog lamps, which are better than yellow in many components.

The current foglights on the VAZ 2110 are available in two versions - transparent and corrugated. Most choose clear glass, although in fact corrugated is better. They provide a clear directional beam that can perform at its best during fog or rain.

Materials and tools

You can easily buy a ready-made PTF kit with all the wires, and then you don’t have to figure out where the fog lamp relay is located on the VAZ 2110. However, if you purchase spare parts separately, this will diversify installation options, plus it will save you money.

Therefore, you need to buy the following:

  • Two sets of headlights;
  • Plastic pads;
  • Headlight frames;
  • A key with a yellow indicator for it;
  • Relay;
  • Wiring. Choose the option with two copper conductors and double insulation, for example SHVVP2. A cross section of 0.5 mm is suitable, but if the lamps are powerful, 0.75 mm is better;
  • Ground terminals;
  • Terminals mom / dad - wide and narrow terminals.

Mom-dad should not be taken complete with wires. It is better to crimp them with pliers when the wiring is already connected.

Pay attention to what kind of dashboard you have. If it is an old model, buy a set of foglights for the VAZ 2110, and if the euro is a torpedo, then it is better to use the PTF for the VAZ 2115.

As for the light bulb, 55V power is more than enough. We strongly do not recommend taking cheap foglights, since their service life is very short.

Installation

The purchased kit is always offered with a wiring diagram for fog lights on the VAZ 2110, so there should not be any special problems. But keep in mind, something may have to be corrected, adjusted to ensure effective operation.

Before you install fog lights on the VAZ 2110, you need to decide on their location. If the design of the car does not provide a place for them, then it will be mounted under the front bumper.

The PTF connection diagram is as follows.

  1. We lay the wiring of the fog lights on your car. This is done through the left side under the hood along the wing. The same goes for the main wiring.
  2. Now you need to connect the power to the button, which will be located on the dashboard. According to the factory scheme, power is installed from the fuse on the right dimensions. But you can use the light on button or the output from the ignition switch to turn on the head optics. That is, in such a situation, the fog lights will turn on when the ignition is on. Some take power from the output to the dimensions. You can do this, but it's not recommended. If you forget to turn off the PTF, the battery will soon run out.
  3. We connect the plugs with the headlights. If after that the fog lights on the VAZ 2110 do not light up, a mistake was made in the circuit. Check each element of the circuit. It is not difficult to determine where the fog lamp relay is located on the VAZ 2110, so make sure that the relay clicks. If it is present, then the coil will activate it. It is not uncommon to change the relay.

The last stage of installation begins after all the wires have been connected, the power has been turned on, and the fog light has spilled out. It's about regulation.

Checking if the PTF is shining correctly is quite simple. Get out on the road and see how the fog lights work. If the light is directed slightly downwards, the luminous flux touches both the roadway and the curb, so everything works perfectly, and you can not be afraid of the wrath of oncoming drivers whom you will blind.

If there are deviations from the norm, be sure to perform the adjustment. This work can be done independently, but ideal conditions of the room will be required. Therefore, it is better to trust the specialists from the car service, who have a special stand, a flat area, equipment for adjustment.

A set of lighting devices and signaling devices located outside and inside the car form a lighting system. It performs the following functions:

  • illumination of the roadway, curbs and objects located on them in conditions limited visibility;
  • providing information to other road users about the presence of a vehicle on the road, its size, the nature of the movement, maneuvers performed, as well as belonging;
  • car interior lighting, as well as other parts of it ( luggage compartment, engine compartment etc.) at night.

The car lighting system includes the following main structural elements: headlights, front fog lights, tail lights, rear fog light, license plate light, interior lighting and controls.

(other names are headlight, block headlight) illuminates the road ahead of the vehicle, and also provides information to other road users in front of the vehicle. Headlights are installed in pairs symmetrically on the right and left sides of the car. On modern cars in addition to the headlights, a night vision system can be installed.

The headlight is made, as a rule, in a single housing, which combines the following lighting fixtures: low beam, high beam, side light, direction indicator and daytime running lights.

The dipped beam is used to illuminate the road when there are other road users ahead. Dipped beam asymmetric, with right-hand traffic better lit right part roads and verges. High beam is used when there are no other road users ahead. It is a symmetrical light beam of high intensity. The marker light is used to indicate the dimensions of a vehicle. The marker light is also installed in the rear light.

The direction indicator can be installed both in the headlight unit and outside it in the front of the car. The direction indicator is used to inform other road users of the intention to make a maneuver (turn, U-turn, lane change). The direction indicator is also installed in the rear light. In addition, on the side of the car, it is provided turn signal repeater. Recently, it has become popular to place the turn signal repeater in the outside rear-view mirror. All direction indicators must work synchronously.

A light source is used as a turn signal yellow color operating in flashing mode. The frequency of the pointer should be 1-2 flashes per second. The direction indicator can have two modes of operation: constant (until it is turned off), one-time (three to five flashes when pressed). The direction indicator is controlled by the corresponding switch. The switch is designed to automatically turn off the signal when the steering wheel is returned to the neutral position.

The turn signal works in conjunction with a number of systems active safety: Lane change assistance , Lane assistance . The direction indicators are also used as an emergency stop signal.

Some countries provide for the use daytime running lights, which are intended to increase the visibility of the vehicle in daytime. Daytime running lights are automatically or manually controlled dipped beam headlights with full or reduced intensity. In some cases low-intensity high beam headlights may be used.

headlight device

Despite the differences in shape, design, color, materials, the following can be distinguished general device headlights: housing, light source, reflector and diffuser.

Frame serves as a basis for placing and fastening the remaining elements of the headlight. It is usually made of plastic. As light sources various lamps are used: incandescent - tungsten, halogen, gas-discharge - xenon. LED light sources are gaining more and more popularity among automakers.

Tungsten lamps are the cheapest in price and have low light intensity. Therefore, these lamps are used as a light source for parking lights, direction indicators, brake lights, reversing lights, interior lighting devices. Halogen lamps are the most common source of low and high beam headlights. One lamp can be used for each type of headlight ( e.g. H4 with two filaments) or two separate lamps ( e.g. H7 with one filament).

are very popular in our country xenon lamps, which can be used for both low and high beams. LED light sources are mainly used for signaling functions: parking lights, brake light, turn signal, daytime running lights. Less commonly, LEDs can be seen as a head light source.

Reflector in the design of the headlight is responsible for the formation of a beam of light. The simplest reflector has a parabolic shape. Modern reflectors have a more complex shape. The reflector is made of plastic. To create a mirror surface, a thin film of aluminum is applied and varnished.

Diffuser transmits the light flux and, depending on the design, refracts it. Another function of the diffuser is to protect the headlight from external influences. The diffuser is made from transparent plastic, rarely glass.

The front fog lamp is designed to improve the illumination of the roadway and the roadside in poor visibility conditions: rain, fog, dust, snow. Fog lights are used in pairs, installed as an option, less often independently. May be white or yellow.

Fog lights provide a wide beam of light with a cut-off top. Front fog lamps are used instead of low beam or in conjunction with it. The effect of the use of headlights is to reduce back glare and thus improve visibility during precipitation. Front fog lights are optional, and in some countries they are banned altogether.

The taillight is designed to inform traffic participants behind the car. The lantern combines the following lighting devices: tail light, brake light, rear pointer turn, lamp reversing.

The rear lights are installed in pairs symmetrically. The lamp can be made in the form of a single block or in the form of two connected blocks installed in the body and trunk lid (fifth door).

Rear position light works in conjunction with the front marker light. Structurally, it can be combined with a brake light. In this case, either separate incandescent lamps (LEDs) or lamps with two filaments of different light intensity are used.

Stop signal activated automatically when the driver presses the brake pedal. The tail light and brake light are red, but the brake light is brighter. On some cars, the so-called. adaptive brake light, in which the light intensity is dependent on the intensity of braking (the harder you press, the brighter it burns). Of interest is the function of the emergency brake light ( emergency stop signal, ESS), implemented in the form of brake light flashes when the brake pedal is pressed urgently.

Rear turn signal works in conjunction with the front turn signal. Has a yellow color. reversing lamp provides illumination when the vehicle is reversing. Activates automatically when turned on reverse gear(reverse mode). It is a mandatory light fixture. One or two (symmetrically) white rear lights are installed.

The rear fog lamps are used to warn vehicles behind you in conditions of poor visibility. Structurally, they can be made as part of the rear light or separately - below the light in the bumper of the car.

The car is equipped with one (on the left side of the car) or two (symmetrically) rear fog lights. The presence of a rear fog lamp is mandatory. It has a greater light intensity than the rear marker light.

Lighting control

The control of the lighting devices that are part of the lighting system is carried out by the corresponding switches from the passenger compartment. Implemented on some vehicles automatic control separate functions: switching on the dipped beam, headlight correction, active headlights, adaptive lighting, high beam control.
