In 2025, the world expects to sell 100 million cars, of which a third - to Chinese consumers. Against this background, the forecast for the Russian market of 1.5-2 million cars a year looks depressing. And electric cars for us generally become an overseas miracle, sanctions do not pass without a trace.
Such cars for us, like French blue cheese, will be unavailable for a long time? But maybe they will make an exception for Renault? It's a pity the French owners of Lada didn't want to see Vesta and H-ray in Paris.
The Paris Motor Show 2016 offers new diesels with restraint. They plan to part with a large proportion of diesel engines in general. It has already decreased this year from 48.1% in 2015 to 46.8%. And, although heavy cars like best-selling SUVs are still equipped with diesels, electric drive is coming even in this segment. For example, Tesla has had its Model X for sale here for a long time.
Tighter emissions regulations year after year require complex and expensive exhaust aftertreatment devices, which makes diesel engines too expensive, especially in small classes. In addition, environmentalists have created an image of the enemy out of diesels when it comes to the content of nitrogen oxides and soot in urban air. And it may happen that such cars are generally banned from entering megacities.
There is no exaggeration here: the European Commission is already introducing a more stringent method for measuring emissions from next year, and CO2 emissions themselves are expected to be increased to 50 g / km (on average for all models of the brand).
And here the internal combustion engine will stumble upon the physical limits of possibilities. After 2020, its efficiency (and this is carbon dioxide emissions) will improve by no more than 1% annually. So volens-nevolens, but by 2030, half of all cars will have to be electrified. (True, no one knows how long the EC and the EU itself will last!) Or ride ordinary cars only outside the city.

The company decided to demonstrate what electric vehicles are capable of. The new Opel Ampera-e does not have any auxiliary internal combustion engines, only electric traction, which is provided by a 204 hp electric motor. and a battery with an energy capacity of 60 kWh. This should be enough for more than 400 km. The maximum speed, however, is modest, only 150 km / h, but you can compete in a spurt from traffic lights. Up to 50 km / h, acceleration will take 3.2 seconds, and, for example, from 80 to 120 only 4.5!
As for everything that is powered by electricity (all sorts of Internet stray there), then new electric car packaged by them on an all-inclusive basis. At the same time, the price was promised within 40,000 euros, and even the German government promises to compensate 4,000 euros when purchasing an electric car. Worth thinking?
Another novelty of the Paris Salon is Opel Karl Rock. The last word means crossover mimicry. However, it is limited by an increased ground clearance of 18 mm, 15-inch wheels, roof rails and bottom protection, as well as plastic lining.
The French changed generations of models 3008 and 5008. The first decisively turned up his nose and became a real SUV. Its ground clearance has grown to 220 mm, the trunk holds from 520 to 1580 liters, despite the fact that the mass of the car has fallen by a whole centner! Although it is, in fact, a completely new car, it is immediately recognizable as the second generation Panamera. Its “skin” is completely aluminum, power elements are made of high-strength steels. They are connected to each other with adhesives. This made it possible to save 50 kg of mass, but the electronic engineers immediately made up for it with their stray. Well, you understand that all conceivable assistants can be stuffed into half a centner of microcircuits. For example, headlights can be with matrix technology that allows you to cut out luminous flux any figures, adjust them to the speed and turns of the track.
The instrument cluster was treated with curiosity: yes, it is, of course, virtual, freely configurable on two 7-inch displays. But for some reason they decided to leave the tachometer between them mechanical!

However, in ordinary life, this eight works on half of its cylinders, which allows the car not to become the most voracious at the same time. Promise average consumption no more than 9.2 l ...
Another novelty from Porsche is the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid with electric drive, which allows you to drive 50 km without consuming fuel. And the consumption itself was lowered to an incredible 2.5 l / 100 km (well, this, of course, is only for the FIRST hundred). Acceleration to hundreds takes only 4.6 s thanks to 400 Nm, which are available right off the bat.
The high-voltage lithium-ion battery now has an energy capacity of 14.1 kWh, but it takes quite a long time to charge - even from a 7.2-kilowatt outlet with 32 A as much as 3.6 hours. To keep you warm during this time, climate control is possible.

Many thought that after the appearance of the SX4, this model would no longer exist, but it suddenly reincarnated as a small crossover. With the former Ignis, the novelty is united only by its own name. This is the answer to Renault Twingo, FV Up, etc. models. A feature of the Japanese is adjustable and rearranged backseat- a rarity in this class.
