It would seem that more than 70 years have passed since the end of the Great Patriotic War, and the echoes of this terrible event are no longer so clearly felt. But still, to this day, there are still places where the war seems to have stopped, froze. Warehouses of abandoned equipment from the time of the Great Patriotic War can be found in many regions of Russia.

Technique in the suburbs

Entire columns of abandoned vehicles, tanks, cannons and other unique military equipment and armored vehicles from the Great Patriotic War are found in various parts of our country. Such a warehouse of abandoned equipment was discovered in the depths of the forest by residents of the Moscow region, picking mushrooms in the fall. Forgotten, abandoned equipment in the suburbs, from a long standing in some places overgrown with moss, covered with foliage, as if not participating in hostilities, not contributing to the Victory, left in this place forever. open doors, abandoned equipment, the random placement of some combat vehicles indicate that they were left hastily, without even saying goodbye, without bothering to thank their iron friend for their faithful service. Abandoned equipment is in a different state: mostly broken, and some even in combat readiness. The rows of abandoned cars are endless. Being here is like being in a graveyard. Only these are planes, tanks. And this case is far from the only one when abandoned equipment is found in the forests of the Moscow region.

sunken machinery

A lot of military equipment sank during the war in the rivers, swamps and lakes of Russia. This once indispensable, and subsequently sunken, abandoned equipment, which at one time served mankind a great service, now sleeps forever at the bottom of a lake or swamp, rusts, overgrown with mud. At present, cases have become more frequent when sunken military equipment is found and its rise from the bottom of the reservoir is organized.

Photos of abandoned equipment left by the military near Moscow can be found in the article.

Military archeology

Military archeology is a search activity on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War. Search activities are carried out by special teams. Buried in the ground, sunken at the bottom of rivers, swamps and lakes, search engines find lined or sunken equipment: aircraft, tanks and other types - as well as personal belongings of soldiers and officers. The obtained trophies help to restore the complete picture of a particular battle. But search engines do excavations rather for commercial purposes. Collectors are willing to pay huge sums of money for the rarities they get - ammunition, personal weapons or military awards. And abandoned military equipment raised by search engines often finds a second life thanks to the work of restorers and, after repair, continues to live in the country's museums.

Legendary T-34

The symbol of the Great Patriotic War, the legendary T-34 tank, or, as it is also called, the "thirty-four", is installed as a monument in many cities of Russia. As a combat and labor relic of the Great Patriotic War, this armored vehicle became a real nightmare for the German troops. Undoubtedly, this tank had big influence on the outcome of the war, made a significant contribution to the Victory and brought glory to the great Soviet army. Therefore, special regret arises when you see this legend, the former power, strength, pride of our troops abandoned, unjustly forgotten somewhere in a dense forest, under the open sky, or left to rot and rust at the bottom of a river or swamp. Some copies of the T-34 were more fortunate, they are in museums as exhibits, but many remained standing in the same place where they were put out of action by the enemy as a result of hostilities.

outdated technology

Not only in but also throughout the history of mankind there is a constant race of all existing states for the invention of the latest technical means. Therefore, even if military equipment without breakdowns and significant "wounds" went through all hostilities, it cannot serve forever. Modernization is taking place in the field of mechanical engineering, old military equipment is becoming obsolete. It is being replaced by newer models with more advanced features. Therefore, outdated military equipment that has served its purpose "dies" and goes to rest, forming huge cemeteries of metal bodies, washed by rain, like tears.

Locations of abandoned vehicles

The abandoned equipment of Russia is not only the military equipment of the times of the Great Patriotic War left on the battlefield or warehouses of obsolete, outdated mechanisms, which were replaced by other, more modern machines. A lot of abandoned construction equipment located in the northern regions of our country. In connection with climatic conditions, as well as the difficult terrain of these places and the almost complete absence of roads, various tractors, tractors, cars are left here to fend for themselves. In the Chelyabinsk region, in the local Serebryansky quarry, which was previously and is currently engaged (albeit in very small volumes) in the extraction of facing flagstone, you can find abandoned equipment. Mainly different types excavators, which over time have grown into the ground with their buckets and caterpillars.

A huge amount of abandoned military and civilian equipment, if desired, can be found by examining the expanses of our country. And if these places are not guarded or not guarded enough, the cars become easy prey for those who collect scrap metal.

The cemetery of vintage cars is located on the territory of one of the abandoned summer health camps in the Moscow region. We have collected 23 photographs that will allow you to make a fascinating excursion into this mysterious place.

The first car that visitors see when they get into this gloomy place is the GAZ-M. This is an exact copy of the American Ford Model B 40A Fordor Sedan, produced from 1936 to 1943. In GAZ-M, the suspension was strengthened, adapting the car for Soviet roads.

The ZIL-157 car was produced in the USSR for 36 years - from 1958 to 1994. At the car cemetery near Moscow, you can see the cab of this truck.

Chevrolet trucks produced by the Canadian branch General Motors and Ford during World War II. In total, 350,000 trucks rolled off the assembly lines various modifications, a significant part of which was exported to the USSR.

Old cars are not only on the street, but also in the abandoned buildings of the camp.

There are also several GAZ-21 Volga cars among them, which were considered the most prestigious cars available in the USSR.

As you can see, a five-pointed star is fixed on the radiator grille of one of the Volga. This sign has its own history. They say that when new car showed Marshal Zhukov that he did not like the car, and then, in order for the commander to change his mind, a star was fixed on the radiator grille. The stars from the Volga disappeared when the marshal fell out of favor with the authorities.

There is also a Moskvich 400-401 in a dump near Moscow - an exact copy of the Opel Kadett.

Good afternoon, dear reader.

Over the past 20 years, the number of cars in Russia has increased by 2.5 times. This, in turn, led to the fact that ownerless or abandoned cars began to appear.

In this article under abandoned we will mean machines that stand in the same place for a long time and are not operated. Such cars may not drive for years and literally "grow" into the asphalt or the ground.

Ownerless vehicles can cause inconvenience to residents of neighboring houses, so today we will talk about how to remove an abandoned car from the yard.

Most often, the abandoned ones are:

  • Old cars (over 20 years old).
  • Vehicles seriously damaged in .

However, you can also meet new cars that, for some reason, have ceased to be used.

As a rule, residents of the yard complain that an abandoned car occupies a parking space on a permanent basis. Much less often we are talking about the fact that the car is a danger to residents or simply spoils the view.

Let's see what can be done with an ownerless car:

How to pick up an abandoned car?

Especially enterprising residents have a desire to take the car for themselves, and do it for free. However, the current legislation does not provide such an opportunity.

Thus, the only option left is appeal to the executive authorities to evacuate the vehicle.

At the same time, the biggest difficulty lies in the fact that there is no single normative document, regulating the procedure for working with abandoned cars in the country. Each subject of the federation must establish its own rules and work in accordance with them. That is, first of all, you need to find a document for your region.

For example, if the car is located on the territory of the Tula region, then you need to find the appropriate decree of the Government of the Tula region.

Finding a regional regulatory document can cause serious difficulties. Therefore, if you were unable to find it yourself, then for a start it makes sense to write an appeal to the local administration to find out if the document you are looking for exists in the region. The message text might look like this:

Forgive me to inform you whether there is a regulatory document in the Novosibirsk region that regulates the procedure for working with abandoned vehicles. If such a document exists, please provide its title, number and date of publication.

If the document was found, then you should act in accordance with it. A little lower, as an example, the procedure for working with abandoned cars in Moscow will be considered.

The procedure for evacuating an abandoned car

IN in general terms The evacuation of an abandoned car is as follows:

  1. A man writes a statement to the local administration about an abandoned car. The application must indicate the location of the car, its number, brand, model, color, etc. It will not be superfluous to indicate the period during which the vehicle is not in operation. You can attach a photo of the car to the application to make it easier for employees to find it.
  2. The administration creates a special commission that goes to the car and decides whether it is really abandoned.
  3. The administration notifies the owner of the car that it is necessary to remove the vehicle.
  4. If the owner does not take action, the car is evacuated and the place is vacated.

Please note that you this case only point 1 is relevant. That is, all that needs to be done is to write an appeal and submit it to the local administration (prefecture, council, etc.). The text of the appeal may be:

Near the house number 1 on the street. Lenin in the city of Leninsk, an abandoned car was found (VAZ 2101, state number "A123AA77", color white), which has not been used for at least 1 year. Please do an examination specified vehicle and move it to a dedicated parking lot.

Please inform me about the results of the check by phone: +7 *** *** ** **

After submitting the application, it remains only to wait for the results of the verification.

Where to report an abandoned car in Moscow?

In the city of Moscow, the issue of evacuation of abandoned vehicles is regulated by Decree of the Government of Moscow No. 569-PP dated September 23, 2014 "On the procedure for identifying, moving, temporarily storing and disposing of abandoned, including dismantled, vehicles in the city of Moscow":

If you wish, you can study the full text of the document yourself. Only the most interesting points will be considered below.

1.2. Present Order establishes the rules for organizing the identification, movement, temporary storage and disposal of abandoned, including dismantled, vehicles in the city of Moscow (hereinafter - BRTS).

Please note that the abbreviation is used in the text of the document BRTS, which means an abandoned car.

1.4. The administration of the district of the city of Moscow organizes work on the commission survey of the BRTS, the establishment of the owner vehicle and informing him about the drawing up of an inspection report, and also, in accordance with the established procedure, takes measures to turn an ownerless vehicle into the property of the city of Moscow.

2.1. Identification of BRTS is carried out on the basis of information about BRTS with an indication of their location, contained in the following documents received by the district council of the city of Moscow:

  • appeals of public authorities;
  • appeals of local governments of intracity municipalities in the city of Moscow;
  • appeals of individuals or legal entities.

Clause 1.4 states that the appeal must be submitted to the council of the corresponding district of the city of Moscow.

For example, if an abandoned car is located at the house 4 to 3 on the street. Koktebelskaya, then the appeal should be submitted to the administration of the Northern Butovo district.

Let's consider a table with the terms during which the council must respond:

TermActions of the council or owner
3 daysThe vehicle is inspected.
The owner of the car is informed that the car has been recognized as abandoned (the announcement is placed on the car, on the website of the district and prefecture government administrative district sent by registered mail).
14 daysThe owner can bring the car to a condition that does not allow it to be considered abandoned, or move it to storage in another place.
After the expiration of the period, the commission re-examines the car and draws up an act of forced relocation to a specialized parking lot.
3 daysAbandoned the car is being evacuated to a designated parking lot.
3 daysThe owner is notified by registered mail that the vehicle has been towed.
3 monthsThe car is kept in a parking lot. If the owner did not take it away, then the car becomes the property of the city of Moscow, after which.

Thus, the car in Moscow is evacuated no later than 20 days after the application is submitted to the council.

What to do if the car is recognized as abandoned?

Consider how not to lose a car that the district government recognized as abandoned. In this case, it is of fundamental importance when you learned that the car was taken over by the government:

1. If you found a notice on the car body or received ordered letter, then avoiding the evacuation of the car is quite simple. And there are several options:

a) Make sure that the car does not resemble an abandoned one. For example, pump up the wheels, wash the body, remove dirt next to the car and under it. If the car is damaged, then repair the damage. After that, the car can be left in the same place.

b) Move the vehicle to another location for storage. The text of the regulatory document says that you need to move the machine to a "storage location". However, if the car simply moves to another yard, then no one will specifically look for it.

Any of the above steps must be taken within 14 days from the date the notice was posted on the vehicle.

2. If you have received a registered letter stating that the car is recognized by the BRTS and is in the impound lot, you should pick it up from this parking lot as soon as possible. You must have with you:

  • Title or certificate of registration.
  • Passport or other identity document.

In conclusion, I want to note that if an abandoned car bothers you, then you should write an appeal to the local administration. Unfortunately, there is no single legislation on this issue, however, in most large cities, local authorities are still involved in the evacuation of ownerless vehicles.

Good luck on the roads!
