Batmaster-Istra LLC performs the following operations with BMK-130 towing and motor boats:

  • Supply of products of the first and second category from storage or after repair, with a guarantee of quality;
  • Troubleshooting and repair work;
  • Acquisition of equipment from conservation and sorting warehouses;
  • Export of spare parts for bridge building equipment.

I was familiar with these, at first glance, unsightly and inconspicuous boats from childhood, and I often had to argue with my coastal peers who were far from naval life about the existence of such boats with wheels. And even when I brought the disputer to the shore and pointed to the wheels, which were half protruding from the water from two sides, in this case they tried to convince me that these were just fenders that served to soften the blow during mooring.

We loved these boats because at full speed they raised such a shaft that everyone who knew how to swim jumped into the water to swing on the waves.

We, the naval children, really liked to dive from such a boat. Its stern was elongated and covered with flat shields, under which powerful engines were installed, as well as a compartment for passengers or paratroopers. There was no railing and it was a pleasure to dive with a running start. And after swimming, we stretched out on the hot deck and sunbathed until the soldiers returned from the shore appeared.

Noticing the approach of the owners of the boat, we, on command, jumped overboard and spread out in different directions. Those who tried to escape along the shore were caught by the soldiers, took out a bucket and forced to wash off the sand that we dragged during the diving, since not everyone could get on board from the water and most of the divers got out onto the sandy shore to climb again board.

Of course, no one especially tried to escape and even washed the deck with pleasure, all this was with laughter and soldier jokes, and we swam up to the boat teasing the prisoners and calling them - greenhorns.

First of all, this boat was intended for use as a tugboat when building floating bridges from pontoon bridge parks, as well as for towing ferries collected from these parks.

Second- both for crossing reconnaissance groups of various branches of the armed forces, as well as for landing infantry.

During haymaking, these boats were allocated to the Subsidiary Farm, as patronage assistance, for the export of hay from the islands, of which there are more than a dozen in the Yakutsk region.

Engine power is about 100-120 hp. Depends on the power plant. There are modifications of the boat with two gasoline engines, and there are also with one diesel. Batteries are installed on both sides of the bulkhead. The capacity of the fuel tanks is 300 liters.

For towing on land, the boat is equipped with its own retractable wheel chassis and hitch! It was possible to tow the boat on the highway at a speed of up to 60 km / h, and off-road - 20-25 km / h. On the water, the freewheeling speed of the boat is 21.5 km / h.

The boat is launched by pushing into the water. The car drives into the water until the boat floats. After that, the minder, who is in the boat, pulls out the wedge stops of the chassis and raises the wheels to a horizontal position along the sides with the help of hand winches.

Pulling the boat out of the water is done in the reverse order - the boat approaches the shore as close as possible, the minder releases the chassis, which sink to the bottom under their own weight.

Of the amenities - a removable canvas cabin included in the boat package can be installed to protect minders from bad weather.

Towing and motor boat BMK 130M

Towing and motor boat BMK130M is intended for use as a towing vehicle for building floating bridges from the pontoon-bridge parks of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BOB, PMP, as well as for towing ferries assembled from these parks. In addition, the boat is used for reconnaissance of water barriers before organizing a bridge or ferry crossing, for organizing evacuation and rescue services at crossings. Can be used to ferry reconnaissance groups of various
military branches, as well as for landing infantry.

The BMK130M boat is towed on land behind a ZIL-157, ZIL-131 vehicle, for which it is equipped with its own retractable wheeled chassis and a hitch.

From the author. The boat BMK 130 (the designation BMK-130 is found) was developed and put into service for use in the PMP fleet, however, they soon began to replace the less convenient low-power boats BMK-90, which were used in the parks of the CCI and BOB. At the same time, the unsuccessful selection of a two-stroke diesel engine (YAZ-204V), which turned out to be capricious and difficult to operate, the presence of only one propeller, which reduced the maneuverability of the boat, forced by about 1975 to replace it everywhere with the BMK-150 and specially designed for park PMP boat BMK-T.
Nevertheless, the BMK-130 turned out to be a long-liver and in some cases is still used today. In particular, in some pontoon-bridge battalions of the Ukrainian army. It is also quite readily bought and used for civilian purposes. But in the Russian Army today it is very problematic to meet the BMK-130.
