As mentioned in my first road trip report on the rusting Datsun on-DO steel, I finally found a way out and my car was painted under warranty. But, as they say, "there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped." Not even a year had passed after the warranty painting, as if by chance, all the same red spots appeared in the places of repair. So, as in the cartoon about Masha and the Bear, "We dial the number!" Having outlined the essence of the repeated problem, an inspection by an engineer under the guarantee of my car is appointed. Due to the fact that after the repair the warranty period for painted body parts did not expire, the paint and body shop redid all its work at its own expense!
But the new “jamb”, which also after the winter did not hide itself for a long time and came out, namely, the trunk lid, on which the chrome insert flaunts, began to be full of red streaks. All dealt with it! Photo, request, positive response, and the car is back for painting!
Spring 2017. As a conscientious car owner, I decided at the end of March to change the shoes of the car for the summer, because the noise winter tires on open asphalt became, to put it mildly, strain. But now, of course, that's not the point. Datsun mi-DO (correctly spelled that way, not "mi-DU") is five-door hatchback, which is assembled on the basis of the "second" Lada Kalina.
