How to clean a gas tank from rust? This question is relevant enough for owners of old motorcycles, many of whom do not even suspect that the gas tank of their bike needs to be cleaned for a long time. Of course, the filtration system will not let any large pieces of rust into the carburetors / injector, but still the problem needs to be fixed. Yes, and the gas tank can rust through ... There are two main ways to get rid of rust in the gas tank of your motorcycle. The first method is "grandfather's". It is necessary to remove the gas tank, drain the remaining gasoline from it, rinse with water and pour a couple of handfuls of nuts into it. After that, we stock up on patience and strength, and begin to shake the tank so that the nuts beat off all the rust from the walls. If desired, you can replace the nuts with pebbles or sand, sometimes sand is used to clean the remains of rust after the initial processing of the gas tank with nuts. Then the tank must be thoroughly rinsed clean water several times to remove all dirt particles from it and let it dry. The second way is "scientific". We'll have to remember the school physics course and resort to the help of electrolysis. Attention - these works cause the release of harmful and flammable gas! They must be carried out in a well-ventilated area!

For this method, you will have to pour the electrolyte solution into the gas tank. Ordinary washing soda (sodium carbonate) is suitable as an electrolyte. If you can’t find it on sale, you can heat ordinary baking soda in the oven (160-180 degrees, for about 30-40 minutes). The output is just sodium carbonate. Then pour water into the tank and stir the aforementioned sodium carbonate in it. For 15 liters of gas tank volume, about five tablespoons will be required.

An electrode is immersed in the resulting electrolyte solution (without touching the walls of the tank - in order to avoid a short circuit; it is not recommended to use a stainless steel electrode in order to avoid the release of especially harmful gases during the electrolysis process). Then the minus is connected to the gas tank body, and the plus is connected to the electrode. Rust will begin to disappear from the walls of the tank and materialize on the electrode. The main thing is not to reverse the polarity! Then we connect D.C. and observe the result. By the way, ordinary ferrous metal, that is, a banal piece of iron or iron wire, is suitable as an electrode.

After cleaning the gas tank from rust using one of the methods described above, it must be protected from re-corrosion. folk method- epoxy resin. It is heated and poured into the tank, after which the tank is rotated by hand until the epoxy coats its walls from the inside with a thin layer. When frozen, they form a coating similar to glass in structure. But this method also has a minus - if the motorcycle is attached to something with a gas tank, the epoxy will crack like real glass, and it will take a long and dreary time to rake out the fragments from the gas tank. In addition, there have been cases when small fragments of cured epoxy resin fell into fuel system and the results were not very pleasant. So if you don’t want to resort to epoxy, then there are options to buy special means For anti-corrosion treatment, like "Kreem". They have their own application features, but this is a topic for a whole separate article.

The method is old and really works. This is how I used to clean the tank of my old one. After cleaning, the gas tank of an almost 20-year-old motorcycle from the inside really shone with cleanliness.

The quality of gasoline that can be poured into Russian gas stations, far from ideal, which can lead to various problems in the operation of the car. Often, the fuel contains dirt particles that enter the gas tank and settle to the bottom, and then risk causing rust or getting into the engine. To prevent this from happening, from time to time it is required to clean the gas tank of the car. There are many ways to clean the gas tank of a car from accumulated dirt, and in this article we will consider them.

Table of contents:

How to flush the gas tank without removing it from the car

A full flush of the car's gas tank is a rather time-consuming, but effective procedure. If there is no time to complete it, but you need to clean the gas tank of accumulated contaminants, you can perform an express cleaning without removal, which is much less effective. You can clean the gas tank without removing it from the car as follows:

How to flush the gas tank inside after removing it from the car

In order to qualitatively clean the deposits inside the gas tank, it must first be removed from the car. On almost any car, this is easy to do, and in a book on technical operation machine must be described in detail how the this procedure. There are several ways to flush the gas tank inside, we will consider the most popular below.

Cleaning the gas tank with soda

Soda's cleansing powers are legendary, and they're not based on nothing. Indeed, soda can remove rust, including that formed inside the gas tank.

The method of cleaning a gas tank with soda is quite expensive in terms of costs, but it is considered very effective and simple. Cleaning is performed as follows:

Remember to rinse the gas tank well before pouring gasoline so that there are no traces of a sweet drink left in it.

Electrolysis method of washing the gas tank

Extremely effective method cleaning the gas tank, which allows not only to remove the formed rust, but also to restore the metal layer. It is based on the chemical reaction of electrolysis, as a result of which hydrogen and gases will be formed, so it is extremely dangerous to carry out the procedure in a closed room.

The electrolysis washing of the gas tank is performed as follows:

When the cleaning of the gas tank is completed, drain the electrolysis, rinse and dry the tank, only then fill in gasoline.

Cleaning the gas tank with phosphoric acid

A fairly simple and effective way to get rid of rust inside a gas tank. For cleaning, you will have to purchase orthophosphoric acid (if the acid is of a strong concentration, it is better to dilute it) in order to get several liters of rust converter. WITH ama cleaning is extremely simple:

When the work is completed, clean the gas tank with water and soda, then rinse everything again plain water. It is important to completely remove the remaining acid from the gas tank. After flushing, dry the tank and you can use it.

Cleaning the gas tank with nuts

This method can be called "old-fashioned", and it should be used only as a last resort, when the entire tank is covered with rust inside.

Meaning this method cleaning is that various potentially sharp objects are poured into the tank - nuts, bolts, granite stones, and so on. When they are inside the tank, it is necessary to shake it so that the rusty particles fly off from collisions with sharp objects. After that, empty everything from the tank. Then dry coarse sand is poured inside and the gas tank is shaken up again. The procedure ends with washing the gas tank with gasoline and drying it.

A fuel tank is a container in which fuel is stored. To make gasoline storage as safe as possible, modern tanks are made of durable metal alloys and treated with anti-corrosion agents. However, during operation, the cavity and surfaces of the gas tank are inevitably exposed to rust - in this case, the car owner must take necessary measures to extend the life of the tank.

Causes and signs of fuel tank contamination

Many motorists do not even think about the fact that the inside of the gas tank may need to be flushed or cleaned. Indeed, this is a completely closed container, where does dirt or dust come from in it?

However, the older the car, the more clogged the fuel tank. And this can be attributed to several factors:

Service life of the tank - during operation, rust forms inside the metal tank under the influence of temperatures.

The use of low-quality fuel, which contains a large number of dirt and precipitation.

Not using cleaners to remove impurities from all elements of the fuel system.

The gas tank cap allows you to safely pour fuel through the filler pipe into the tank capacity

The main sign of fuel tank contamination can be considered jerks in the operation of the engine at low revs. Water and impurities in gasoline prevent the engine from using all the power it has, so at low speeds the car starts to twitch.

When to clean the fuel tank

Cleaning and flushing the fuel tank is required condition his reliable operation. However, washing it too often is not recommended. The procedure can be performed once every two or three years, it all depends on the operating conditions and the quality of the fuel being poured.

In the event that the car is constantly refueled at dubious gas stations on the highway, it is recommended to clean the tank capacity once a year. This will save the fuel filters from running out quickly and eliminate the possibility of clogging the lines with dirt and impurities.

For the entire fuel system (including the gas tank) an important factor work is considered to be the use of high-quality fuel

Actually, cleaning the gas tank is needed in order to ensure the high-quality operation of all elements of the fuel supply system. After all, small particles of precipitation and impurities through the tank can enter the engine, which threatens with serious damage.

Cleaning methods

On various brands cars have different fuel tanks. The easiest way to clean will be on those models in the gas tanks of which there is drainer. That is, draining the fuel and flushing can be done without dismantling the tank.

However, this option is not available to most motorists, so you will have to dismantle the tank from the car and wash it separately.

Preparatory stage

The procedure for flushing the gas tank is best done outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Working with combustible and strong-smelling substances can affect the well-being of a person.

The fuel tank must be removed from the vehicle body. As a rule, this procedure does not take much time. The main thing is to work out the entire volume of fuel in the tank in advance so that you do not have to drain gasoline. However, in any case, several liters of fuel will remain in the system - both in the tank itself and in fuel lines. Therefore, you will need to disconnect the connectors from the fuel pump, as well as remove the hoses from the tank itself. Under all connection points, you can substitute containers for draining fuel so that the fuel does not go into the ground or half a garage.

When dismantling the gas tank, some amount of fuel will inevitably spill, so it is recommended to use both drain containers and rags

After the gas tank is removed from the car, you need to open all its openings and drain the remaining fuel.

Various cleaning products

A variety of means are used to flush gas tanks. All of them are freely available and are inexpensive. Depending on the cleaner used, the cleaning method will also vary.

We use acetone

To flush a standard tank of 43-50 liters, you will need to prepare 2-3 liters of acetone. The procedure is as follows:

Pour 1 liter of acetone into the dismantled gas tank.

Close all drain holes and filler cap tightly.

Shake the container well several times.

Drain the liquid into a bucket.

If a large amount of rust and dirt comes out with acetone, then it is necessary to carry out the procedure one or two more times.

The properties of acetone allow you to qualitatively remove rust from any metal surface.

Vinegar is a great tank flusher.

Main advantage acetic acid in that it perfectly dissolves rust deposits and old dirt in the gas tank cavity. However, there is a minus: it will take a lot of vinegar, since they need to fill the tank to the brim:

Pour vinegar into the gas tank and close the tank with a lid.

    Leave the solution overnight.

In the morning, drain a few liters of vinegar, then shake the gas tank well.

After that, drain all the solution into a bucket - all the dirt and rust should come out.

After that, you will need to rinse the gas tank cavity with warm water several times to remove acid and soda residues.

Vinegar is the most affordable way do-it-yourself gas tank cleaning

Ordinary detergents

household detergents it is advisable to use in cases where there is obviously a small amount of dirt and rust in the tank. Conventional funds for washing dishes will clean the cavity of the tank well, but will not remove rust, so it is better to use them for primary washing or as an additional after washing with acids:

Pour hot water into the tank to the brim.

Pour washing powder or dishwashing detergent into the water.

Close the tank and shake it well.

Leave the mixture for two hours.

After that, drain the water and rinse the gas tank thoroughly with hot water.

You can repeat this procedure if necessary.

Household detergents allow you to clean the gas tank of dirt and impurities on a budget

Hydrochloric or phosphoric acid for washing the gas tank

Acids do a good job of cleaning metal surfaces from rust and precipitation. However, care must be taken, as a single drop of acid can cause severe burns. It is recommended to wear thick rubberized gloves and goggles to protect the eyes from fumes:

Pour about halfway hot water into the tank.

    Add 2.5–3 liters of acid.

After that add hot water to the brim and close the tank new lid. It is important to close the neck with another plug, as acid can damage the plastic cap.

    Wait 2 hours.

After the mixtures have settled to the bottom, shake the container thoroughly and drain the acid solution into a bucket.

A powerful rust remover is acids

Is it possible to flush the tank with gasoline

Flushing with gasoline diesel fuel) is an obligatory stage of all washing procedures. The fact is that after any, even the most thorough washing, a small amount of acid, acetone or washing powder inevitably remains in the gas tank. It is impossible to install such a tank on a car, because all this precipitation will fall into the fuel system, and from it into the engine.

Therefore, after completing all the cleaning procedures, it is necessary to carry out the last one - flush the tank with fuel:

    Install the tank in place.

    Connect all necessary lines.

Fill the gas tank with gasoline to the brim.

    Close the lid.

Start the engine and allow the fuel to disperse through the system.

Add gasoline as it leaves the highways.

Video: an alternative way to flush gas tanks

It is very important to immediately pour full tank besides it is not recommended to use fresh gasoline for these purposes. It is better to prepare fuel canisters in advance so that the existing sediment remains at the bottom.

Prevention of rust in the gas tank

After washing his gas tank, the car owner begins to think more seriously about how to protect this element of the fuel system from rust and dirt getting inside. Indeed, in the maintenance of the machine, it is prevention that plays an important role, and not the repair itself.

There are several pretty simple ways maximize the life of your gas tank without resorting to frequent washing:

Pour knowingly quality fuel, which contains a minimum of precipitation and impurities.

At gas stations, immediately fill the tank full so that there is no room for the concentration of moist air in its cavity.

Periodically, both in summer and winter, use gasoline cleaners by pouring them into the cavity of the fuel tank. This measure has a good effect not only on rust prevention, but also on the entire condition of the car's fuel system.

Another common way to protect the tank is to cover its surfaces with mastic. Mastic keeps the metal well from corrosion, but the paint itself is not cheap.

Coating with mastic will protect the gas tank from rust for a long time

You can replace the metal tank with a plastic one. In this case, rust problems can be avoided, but there will be a risk of other damage - cracks and deformations. In addition, plastic gas tanks, even in the absence of defects, serve much less than metal ones.

Thus, the condition of the fuel tank depends entirely on the care of the car owner. If you refuel at proven gas stations and periodically flush the tank, then in the future you will not have to buy a new product.

At long-term operation vehicle, dirt, water, decomposed fuel residues, rust and other
garbage that can remind you of yourself at the most inopportune moment. Moreover, even if the car is filled with high-quality and clean gasoline, the tank still has to be cleaned periodically.

It is best to remove the tank from the car before flushing. A good result is obtained by flushing the tank through filler neck jet of water under pressure. It is better if the water is hot, or even steam. After that, about five liters of gasoline are poured into the tank, the cork is closed and it is shaken vigorously. To make the tank dry faster, it is purged compressed air through the open filler neck. After that, some experts advise pouring several liters of heated to a temperature of 105 ° C into the tank. engine oil, close the filler cap and turn the tank in different sides so that the oil wets all the walls well - this will protect the tank from rust formation. After that, the oil is drained, and the tank is installed in place in the car.

In some cases, if the tank is equipped with a drain hole, then you can rinse it without removing it from the car. To do this, open drain plug and drain the remaining fuel from the tank by substituting a suitable dish under the drain hole. Then you need to pour a few liters of gasoline into the tank and shake it up, vigorously shaking the car back and forth. After that, the washing gasoline, together with the contaminants, is drained, and if necessary, the procedure is repeated. After flushing, close the drain hole, and the tank is blown with compressed air.

If rust has formed inside the tank, then it can be removed special preparations"rust converters". You need to buy 1 - 2 liters of such a converter (usually they are made on the basis of phosphoric acid), pour it into the tank, shake it well so that the walls of the tank are completely covered with the converter inside and wait about 15 minutes. After that, the converter must be drained from the tank. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated. After that, the tank must be thoroughly rinsed several times with water in order to completely remove the rust converter residues from it. It is necessary to flush the tank until the water remains clean when drained, without traces and smell of the converter. Now you need to remove all the water from the tank, which cannot be done by simply draining it. No matter how hard you try, some water may remain in the tank. You can remove it by pouring about half a liter of alcohol into the tank, shake it there and pour it out. Alcohol will combine with water and pour out with it, and the remaining alcohol in combination with water, which cannot be poured out, will not harm the engine - they will burn with gasoline.

And again, a video where I try to intelligibly explain how the electrolysis method can be used to clean a gas tank from rust.

From personal experience: after you clean the tank, rinse it several times, you need to fill it with gasoline as soon as possible, full tank! well, or at least half as a last resort, I didn’t do it the first time, dried it with a hair dryer, filled in the rust converter, beat it, poured it out and left it until tomorrow ... BUT by the next morning the tank was covered with some kind of black coating 🙁 I had to repeat everything from the beginning.

There are also rumors that if you rinse the tank with distilled water, then supposedly it will not rust so actively ...

The method is old and really works. This is how I used to clean the tank of my old Yamaha XV 1100 Virago. After cleaning, the gas tank of an almost 20-year-old motorcycle from the inside really shone with cleanliness.

Ways to clean the gas tank from rust

Here, as you understand, we will talk about cleaning the fuel tank from rust from the inside. After all, the whole difficulty lies precisely in the fact that we have access to the inner surface of the tank only through the neck.

So, let's start with the reasons why corrosion appears inside the tank. hello ride lovers empty tank! It is one thing when, in this case, the transport is constantly in motion, and another when it is idle in the garage or in the parking lot. Most of the tank does not come into contact with fuel, and due to temperature differences, water vapor condenses on its walls. So if you have to bet for a long time vehicle to the garage - fill the fuel tank "to the eyeballs".

Automotive fuel filter clogged with rust.

A good friend of mine who deals with used motorcycles often encounters rusty tanks. All gasoline must be drained at the sea terminal before motorcycles are shipped from Japan. Further after sending, a rather long period may pass. And it also happens that even before the terminal he stood for a long time without fuel. The bottom line is we have a rusty tank.

Further actions depend on how deep the corrosion of the tank wall has gone. If it is significantly covered with rust from the inside, then you can use a simple and reliable method. We take the nuts, pour them inside and fill it with gasoline or kerosene. We close the tank. Shake thoroughly like a tambourine and pour the resulting mixture. Pour another portion of gasoline for the final flush. Further, in order to remove small rust residues, you can use the already proven phosphoric acid or special rust converters.

But as a rule, they penetrate so deeply that it can then affect the further restoration of the tank. No matter how hard you try to wash it, it will show itself from the outside during paint and varnish work. You can think for a long time why the paint swells. Well, if it's about fuel tanks motorcycles that bikers paint with special trepidation. With automobiles, the situation is simpler, since the maximum that is required of them from the outside is to cover with soil and bituminous mastic. In general, it is necessary to act depending on the degree of corrosion on the walls of the tank.

From many I have heard that a drink such as Coca-Cola or Pepsi is used as a rust-cleaning agent. The thing is that it contains the same orthophosphoric acid. Judging by the videos on Youtube, there are a lot of examples of cleaning traces of rust with this drink. Personally, I have not tried it, but I will have to try.

Yes, and do not forget about the safety measures when working with rust converters, because in fact they all contain acids that can cause a reaction on exposed skin. Work with rubberized gloves.

An interesting method of cleaning the tank by electrolysis. To do this, we need a 12 V battery, a couple of wires, soda and water. The photo above shows a tank with a volume of 15 liters. We prepare a solution in the proportion of 100 grams of soda per 10 liters of water. We pour the solution. We immerse the wire from the positive terminal (anode) inside the tank so that it does not touch the walls. We connect the wire from the negative terminal to the tank body. We leave for a couple of days. Voila! Buck is clean.

How to wash the inside of the tank from rust?

From the question it is not clear what kind of tank, heavy is not heavy, voluminous is not voluminous and whether it can be removed.

If you can remove it, then all the schemes for removing rust from the tank have long been worked out by motorists.

1) Drain the water from the tank (the tank is removed). Dry the tank. We fill the tank with a rust converter, everything depends on the volume of the tank, for example, half a liter of converter is enough for a VAZ classic (40 liters).

We close the lid of the tank and "twist" it back and forth. Leave for an hour, then rinse with water and soda, then with water from the water supply, at the finish the tank is clean like a baby.

2) We take a dozen nuts,

pour kerosene into the tank (gasoline is also suitable), turn the tank, nuts beat off rust.

We drain all the dirt, then clean kerosene and then rinse with running water.

3) This option without removing the tank.

You will need a battery and a pair of wires, we clean the ends.

Pour a solution of soda and water into the tank, 100 g of soda per 10 liters of water.

Plus to the tank (watch the wire, it should not touch the walls of the tank), minus to the tank body, leave for 48 hours.

The tank will be like new.

Naturally after the procedure, washing and drying.

At the end of a couple of tips: Always keep the tank with water, water back and forth is the main culprit in the formation of rust.

Put at least a filter on the water pipes coarse cleaning, maybe it's not in the tank, but in the water that enters rusty into it.

I would do this: I would cut the tank at the seams with a grinder.

All other schemes are temporary, apparently your tank was not processed from the inside at all.

This issue is faced by many owners of jars and water tanks. I wanted to take a steam bath, heated a bathhouse, turn on the hot water, and here you are wearing dirty orange water. Fuuuh ... and it's good that he didn't invite friends! BUT how to be, how to purify water? What to do against rust in the bath stove tank?

So, the most popular ways:

Traditional

They were used even before the invention of anticorrosion, two-component enamels and high-quality paintwork materials.

  • Aluminum powder + liquid glass, withstands very high temperatures, environmentally friendly.
  • Lime + cement, mix one to one, coat the tank and dry, you can use a hairdryer.
  • Iron minium (this is a filler for weatherproof paints).

  • Citric acid, 30 packs of 1.5 grams. Pour the bags one by one into boiling water, stir until completely dissolved. Pour into the tank, rinse the tank after cleaning. Water from a cleaned tank can be drunk.

Modern
This, of course, chemical compositions. After such cleaning, water from the tank cannot be drunk, it can only be used in everyday life. For example, a rust converter for cars "Tsinkar", means B52, and others..in any household chemical store.

In addition, you can protect our tank by coating / painting it with a special paint agent. For example:

TsVES No. 2. This is an anti-corrosion agent based on epilsilicate, zinc powder. We apply it with a roller, on a surface previously cleaned of rust. To make a mixture, you need to constantly add the B-component to the A-component. Then the mixture is kept and filtered.

How to flush a gas tank with your own hands

In the cold, before we paint the tank, we heat it up to the temperatures of “dew point + 3”. If we carry out painting indoors, then the preparation of the surface of the tank should be done no earlier than 6 hours before painting. For painting, the optimum temperature is from -15 to +40 degrees. Humidity from 30% to 80%.

It is also possible to cover the tank with heat-resistant Certoy and Zinc-rich enamel- anticorrosive Ecocin. The latter even protects against impacts and mechanical damage. Which is very important when cleaning tanks, and in everyday life - when scooping water from a tank with a ladle.

Of course, everything is being improved, new materials, tools are being released ... therefore, when choosing a tank cleaning agent, consult with the sellers. Ask about new products and their effectiveness.

Rust concrete……….

if it’s specific, then throw out the mona tank or cut it and clean it from the inside then with a converter and then boil it back or boil it for what you need to get from the tank

There are a bunch of ways around here.

Ferocious

For Granata: We are talking about rust, not about hands.
For Bes: Ride like this. In a couple of weeks, you will throw out the rust from the carb and gas tap. But seriously, vinegar. Just rinse well afterwards.

I was also given original advice - Coca-Cola -

Seriously! Helps!

maybe it helps - only a liter of cola costs ~ 18 rubles ... a liter of electrolyte - about 50 r + ordinary water ... ..

what kind of vinegar? canteen, apple, grape? There is also vinegar essence (70 percent acetic acid, sort of).
Why fill it and lope there to keep it.

Or an invite or a UPI if you find them, they will definitely eat everything together with the tank !!!

They say a cuirassin with wax is cool against rust

Who is speaking? Is a cuirass made from cuirasses?

Be careful with acids, Prada is better than old nuts and bolts with kerosene, but shake it. It will be good. And of the acids, only orthophosphoric acid, vinegar will not cope with thick rust, sulfuric acid will rather eat a hole in the tank than dissolve rust. I do not recommend acids except for phosphoric.

if the rust has settled, it will not practically get rid of it, and the acids with them should be careful with them, otherwise it will not remove rust

Ichthyander

The "rattle" option, definitely. I advise you to listen to the advice of Manowar more often - in my memory he has not yet advised bullshit to anyone.
"Rattle" performed well at the start of this season when Romeo ran into a similar problem. Five hours of shaking - and the problem was solved.
ZY The main thing is to manage to be patient with this procedure.

Try diluted hydrochloric acid or vinegar (one chemist advised)

The idea is right, I myself struggled with rust hydrochloric acid(orthophosphoric is also good for sati) - it helped, but only sooooo carefully then rinse with either soda solution or soapy water (household is best), these things neutralize the acid. Well, then just under running warm water.

For Unforgiven: Be sure to wash well!

Water, dirt and rusty walls, or why you need to clean the gas tank

And keep the converter no more than 2 hours! I missed this business so my tank was covered with black flakes! Right now, even more crap turned out! Although they advised a rag on a stick and wherever you can get it and scrub it! The benefit of the tank is not like a car! I will try one of these days! And the filters are clogged to death!

I fought in this way: I took a few bottles, pounded them, poured crushed glass into the tank, then shaking. Further, as I say manowar. Buck is clean.

first, either tap it with a rubber hammer, fill it with nuts, bolts with a top ... fill it with mining ... shake it for 1/2 hour, you will remove large areas of rust .. rinse with gasoline ... then acids: orthophosoric, hydrochloric ... diluted electrolyte ... for 40 minutes ... drain, rinse, dry. .

without a hammer, without working off (with water), without gasoline, without salt (you talk with orthophosphoric and with nuts - you will see the result quickly) do not rinse! - I washed it like that in the morning there was such a new rust FUCK! dry first (after orthophosphorus) then mine

I was also given original advice - Coca-Cola - it also contains phosphoric acid, and food additives will not allow the converted rust to close up the gas pipeline

In many states (USA) road police always has in patrol car 2 gallons of Cola to clean up the blood from the highway after the crash.

Put a steak in a bowl of Coke and you won't find it there in 2 days.

To clean your toilet, pour a can of Coke down the sink and... don't flush for an hour. Citric acid in Cola will remove stains from faience.

To remove rust stains from a car's chrome bumper, rub the bumper with a crumpled sheet of aluminum foil soaked in Cole.

To remove corrosion from car batteries, pour a can of Coke on the batteries and the corrosion will disappear.

To loosen a rusted bolt, soak a rag in Cola and wrap it around the bolt for a few minutes.

To clean soil from clothes, pour a can of Coke on a pile of dirty clothes, add washing powder and machine wash as usual.

Cola will help get rid of stains. It will also clean the windows in the car from road dust.

FYI: The active ingredient in cola is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It can dissolve your nails in 4 days.

To transport Cola Concentrate, the truck must be equipped with special pallets designed for highly corrosive materials.

Cola distributors have been using it to clean their truck engines for 20 years.

and we still drink this muck!

Damn, it’s just a universal solvent, and I drink it sometimes when there is no Chernogolovka or Ochakovo water.
