Let us consider in more detail the process of controlling the oil level in the gearbox of a GAZelle car:

  1. It is only necessary to check the quantity at a warmed-up gearbox. To do this, it will be enough to drive 10-15 kilometers.
  2. The machine must be installed on a flyover or viewing hole, even a slight inclination in the horizontal plane is unacceptable.
  3. It is necessary to allow the grease to drain from the walls to the bottom of the crankcase. During this time, thoroughly wipe the filler cap, which is also a control one, with a rag.
  4. It is necessary to unscrew the plug and observe the hole. If a thin stream of lubricant flows through it, this is not evidence of a normal oil level. Next, you need to add fluid to the gearbox with a syringe and check again.
  5. Stopping the flow of lubricant after topping up will indicate normal level fluids in the system.
  6. Now you can tighten the plug and continue to operate the car.

Important! It is only necessary to add lubricant to the gearbox of a car of the type that was filled earlier.

It is unacceptable to operate a car with a low oil level in the Gazelle Next checkpoint and other models. Since insufficient volume can provoke air locks, which will affect the amount of lubricating fluid supplied to the gears and gearbox bearings.

  3. Unscrew drain plug, after substituting a container for collecting "working off" under the crankcase.
  4. Drain the grease, this will take about 20 minutes.

  6. The cleaned cover is wrapped in place and the filler is unscrewed. Depending on the vehicle configuration, it can be located both on the left and on the right side Checkpoint.
  7. The required amount of lubricant is added to the open filler hole with a syringe. Continue pouring until oil flows out of the hole.
  8. The cork is wiped and set in place.

If there is no syringe at hand, then you can change the oil without it. In this case, new grease is poured through the hole for the gear lever. Dismantling it will not be difficult. To do this, the protection in the form of a cover is removed, and then the lever is turned out. The required volume of liquid must be poured into the formed crankcase hole, observing its appearance in the control hole.

The first gear on the five-speed GAZelle is very traction and there is a big gap with the second gear.
In general, in general, the box allows you to well realize the traction potential of low-speed engines. But in the case of intensive overclocking, the gap between the first and second is too big. With the Volga's five-speed gearbox, the situation is similar, but in general the box has a high-speed orientation. However, the first gear is more traction than on four-speed transmission, which allows you to move more slowly on the first one, it is easier to start with a trailer or tow. Fifth gear significantly reduces engine speed - by 20.6% when driving at high speeds. Also, with a working chassis, fuel consumption should drop on the highway by 5-10%, depending on the driving style and the selected speed.

In general, the impressions were divided - 80% positive, 20% negative. The downside is gear shifting. The second and first gears are very tight when moving from higher ones. Sometimes synchros don't work well. However, the box is not new, but the defects are standard for it.

Pour 0.9 liters of flushing oil into the crankcase and install the oil filler plug in place;
- hang one or both wheels, engage 1st gear and start the engine for 2-3 minutes;
- drain flushing oil;
- wipe the oil drain plug and install it in place.
6. Fill the gearbox housing with fresh oil using a syringe.

Fill up to the level of the oil filler hole (1.2 l).
7. Replace the oil filler plug.

We drain the gearbox oil immediately after the trip, until it has cooled down.

And drain the oil into a wide container with a volume of at least two liters.

With an oil syringe, pour into the box about one liter of a mixture of gear or engine oil with 20-30% kerosene or diesel fuel and replace the fill plug.

Having turned on the first gear, we start the engine for 2-3 minutes.

Having installed the machine on wheels, completely drain the flushing oil (draining time is at least 5 minutes).

After cleaning the drain plug again, we wrap it with a key in place.

Having unscrewed the filler plug, fill the gearbox with fresh oil with an oil syringe. transmission oil to the level of the filler hole (1.2 l).
