WinRAR is a program for creating and extracting archives. Where is the information about the car model
This information, as well as other descriptive characteristics, is contained in the second section of the code - VDS. The exact sequence of characters for different parameters y different manufacturers may differ.

VDS control mark - what is it for
The VDS block has another name - "descriptor section". Except technical parameters and specifications, this section also contains an additional check digit, with the help of which the VIN code is broken through for authenticity.
This check mark determined using a special algorithm. All numbers and letters of the VIN code (which are also translated into digital equivalent) are multiplied among themselves (except for the 9th character itself). The result is divided by 11.
