A passenger minibus on the Ufa-Ust-Katav route had an accident on the M5 highway in the Ulu-Telyak region of the Republic of Bashkortostan, two kilometers from the border with the Ashinsky region. According to preliminary data, the driver truck"Man", heading towards Ufa, lost control, resulting in a collision with an oncoming passenger minibus"Mercedes-Benz". Eight passengers and the bus driver died on the spot from their injuries, three more are in the hospital, and one from medical care refused.

Often, after such tragedies, they begin to talk about the heavy workload of drivers, that they do not have time to rest between flights and because of this they get into accidents. Our driver had 14 hours between the previous trip and the flight to Ufa. The day before, February 26, he worked from 04:00 am to 13:30 in the Chelyabinsk direction, at 13:30 the bus was already parked at the ATP. On February 27, he also left at 04:00 in the morning, only this time to Ufa. This is regular flight number 769. Many in Ust-Katav know Eduard Zhilyaev as experienced driver, he used to work as a truck driver, traveled all over Russia. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz bus assigned to him was in perfect condition, studded winter tires delivered in October, the seats are equipped with seat belts.

The accident happened when our bus was returning from Ufa to Ust-Katav. A truck "Man", loaded with rubble, was driving towards him. That is, the mass of the entire machine was at least 50 tons. Now this rubble is collected and weighed to find out if there was an overload. The truck went into a skid and began to take shape like a book, at the same time blocking the entire road perpendicularly. Our bus got into the gap between the cab and the body of the truck, hitting it right side like against a wall.

I immediately went to the scene of the accident, we have already provided all the requested documents to the Investigative Committee of Bashkiria. From our side, everything was in order: the route, and the bus, and the qualifications of the driver, his regime of work and rest. All passengers were insured. We have already phoned Ingosstrakh, where they confirmed to us that 2 million 50 thousand rubles will be paid to the families of the victims. Insurance will also be paid to the wounded, their amounts are still being specified.

The driver of the truck "Man" was detained, he was not injured. The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus worked all night at the enterprise of the crushed stone carrier, the check is still ongoing there.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the truck got out of his car immediately after the accident and began filming pavement and comment on what got him. The road in this place is not wide, on both sides of the cliff. As far as I could understand, the truck was simply folded in half. The brakes might have failed, but she was out of control. The bus crashed just into the bend where the tractor and trailer are connected. After that, the bus was thrown into a ditch. The surviving young man said that before the collision he woke up, opened his eyes and saw a folded truck flying at the bus. Then a blow, and he doesn't remember anything."
