Possible reason: Damaged wishbones rear suspension car.

Tools: jack, wheel chocks, stops under the body, a set of wrenches, a set of sockets.

Front wishbone rear suspension:

1. Apply the parking brake and place chocks under the front wheels.

2. Raise back vehicle and secure it with jack stands.

3. Remove the rear wheel.

4. Remove the nuts holding the rear transverse wishbone to the knuckle while holding the bolts from turning.

5. Remove the nuts securing the front rear wishbone to the subframe bracket while holding the bolts from turning.

6. Remove the front transverse arm of the rear suspension.

7. Make a thorough inspection of the lever for deformations, signs of wear and damage to the threaded part of the adjusting sleeve. If these defects are present, the lever must be replaced.

8. Press out the silent block using suitable mandrels, and then inspect it for tears, one-sided swelling and delamination of rubber from the metal sleeve. If these defects are found, the silent block must be replaced (This operation does not make sense if defects were found during step No. 7).

Note: if there are no defects on the lever and on the silent block, press the silent block using the mandrels that were used in the execution of paragraph No. 8 of this instruction.

9. Install the front wishbone rear suspension in reverse order of removal. Finally tighten the nuts of the front transverse wishbone mounting bolts of the rear suspension with the car standing on the ground to a torque of 140-160 Nm.

Attention! After installing the front transverse arm of the rear suspension, check and, if necessary, adjust the angles of the rear wheels.

Rear wishbone rear suspension:

15. Remove the nuts securing the rear transverse wishbone to the subframe bracket while holding the bolts from turning.

16. Remove the mounting bolts and dismantle the rear transverse arm of the rear suspension

17. Make a thorough inspection of the rear suspension arm for cracks, chips, chips and deformations. If defects are found, the lever must be replaced.

18. Press out the silent block using suitable mandrels. Inspect the silent block for breaks, one-sided swelling and delamination of rubber from the metal bushing. If these defects are detected, the silent block should be replaced (This operation does not make sense if necessary complete replacement rear wishbone rear suspension).

Note: replacement of the silent block is carried out by pressing with mandrels that were used in the operation described in paragraph No. 18.

19. Install the dismantled parts in reverse order. The fixing nuts of the rear arm of the rear suspension are tightened with the vehicle installed on the ground to a torque of 140-160 Nm.

Note: After installing the rear suspension arm, it is necessary to check and adjust the rear wheel alignment.

Symptoms: knocks and squeaks in the rear suspension, the rear wheel alignment angles are violated.

Possible reason: rear suspension trailing arms damaged.

Tools: jack, wheel chocks, a set of wrenches, a set of heads, mandrels for pressing out silent blocks (suitable heads can be used).

1. Brake the car parking braking system and install wheel chocks under the front wheels.

2. Raise or hang out the rear of the car, and then place it under reliable and strong stops.

3. Remove the rear wheel.

4. Turn off and take out the bolts fastening the trailing arm of a back suspension bracket with a fist.

5. Unscrew and remove the bolts securing the trailing arm of the rear suspension to the bracket located on the car body.

6. Remove the rear suspension trailing arm.

7. Carefully inspect the trailing arm for cracks, chips, splits, deformations, abrasions and other signs of destruction. If defects are found, the lever should be replaced.

8. Press out the silent block trailing arm rear suspension using suitable mandrels. Inspect the silent block for breaks, cracks, one-sided buckling and delamination of rubber from the metal bushing. If these defects are found, the silent block should be replaced (this operation does not make sense if defects are found on the lever, since if defects are found, the lever must be completely replaced).

Note. The silent block should be pressed in with the same mandrels that were used when it was pressed out. If there is an arrow on the silent block, then it should be directed along the axis of the lever when pressing.

9. Install the removed parts in reverse order. Finally tighten the lever mounting bolts with the car standing on the ground to a torque of 100–120 N∙ m.

10. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
