Step 1
In this lesson we will draw the car from the side. This is just my sketch. Note that the wheels of the car are too big, but they will work well for the lesson.

There are many ways to create a car and the result depends only on the drawing style. If you are a novice user, you can spend only 10 minutes to create a car. But I'll show you a more complicated way that will produce more realistic car.

First, draw a sketch of the car on paper and scan it so that you can work with it in Photoshop. The quality of the sketch is not important as it will be redrawn and any errors will be corrected (for example, different size wheels).

Open the scanned image in Photoshop, go to the menu Image» Image size (Image> Image Size), set the value Width (Width) – 210mm and Resolution (Resolution) – 300dpi. This will provide a high quality image.

By default, the sketch layer will be called "Background" and will be locked. To unlock it, right-click on it and select Layer from Background (or just double-click on the layer). You will get a new window, click OK there and your layer name will change to “Layer 0”. Select this layer, then double click on the name and change it to "sketch". Then click on the little padlock icon above the layer to lock it.

Create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it “bg”, place this layer below the thumbnail layer. These two layers will remain at the bottom of the layers palette.

Step 2
Now the hardest part of the lesson. Pen Tool (

",this,event,"320px");">Pen Tool) outline your sketch lines. Use fewer anchor points to keep the sketch smooth and clean. For example, the upper curve has only two anchor points - at the beginning and at the end of the contour.

Step 3
Select the Brush tool (

",this,event,"320px");">Brush Tool), type - hard round brush 1 px in size and black. Set the brush opacity and pressure to 100%.

Create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it “outline”. Select the Pen Tool again ( ",this,event,"320px");">Pen Tool), right-click on the canvas and select Stroke Contour (Stroke Path), in the window that appears, select Brush (Brush), value Simulate pressure (Simulate Pressure) do not set. Click OK.

Go to Path Palette, your path will be selected. Click on an empty area of the layers palette and your outline will disappear from the canvas. Select the created path in the path palette and you will see the lines again on the canvas. You may have noticed that my background is blue. It doesn't have to be done this way, it's just my preference.

Step 4
Pick some middle color (I chose blue), it should be set as the fill color.

Select the "outline" layer, with the Magic Wand Tool (

",this,event,"320px");">Magic Wand Tool) select all areas of the car that should be metal. There will be a small gap between each selection piece. To fix this, go to the Expand menu ( ",this,event,"320px");">Modify - Expand) and enter a value of 1 pixel.

Don't deselect, create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and fill it with your color (in this case- blue). This can be done by going to the menu Edit»Fill (Edit>Fill) or the Fill tool ( ",this,event,"320px");">Paint Bucket Tool). Name this fill layer “Base” and place it below the “outline” layer.

Step 5
Lower the Opacity of the "outline" layer.

Step 6
Magic wand tool (

",this,event,"320px");">Magic Wand Tool) make a selection of the wheels and the ground, and any areas that will be black. Fill them with black as we did in the previous steps. Place the black fill layer under the “base” layer.

Step 7
Find an image of disks or draw them yourself and paste them into our document.

Step 8
Create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it "outer lines". Select a 3 px hard round brush. In the path palette, select the path layer so you can see the path lines. Select the Direct Selection tool
( ",this,event,"320px");">Direct Selection Tool), select the outer contour of the car, then right-click and select Stroke contour (Stroke Path), select Brush (Brush). Make the contour lines on the image invisible so you can see the result better.

Step 9
Create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it “glue”. Using the technique of step 7, outline the windows and headlights.

Step 10
Create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it “shutlines". Draw the door lines in the same way. Use the Eraser Tool ( ",this,event,"320px");">Eraser Tool) , use a large soft eraser to erase the ends of the lines.

Step 11
Now you need to decide which wheel will be higher and which one will be lower. Any part that is raised will reflect the light and the other part will be dark.

Create a new layer (

",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it “ground darkness”. Make a selection on the "base" layer, but we'll be working on the "ground darkness" layer. Select the Gradient Tool ( ",this, event,"320px");">Gradient Tool, color - from black to transparent. Fill the selection from bottom to top.

Step 12
Select the “outine” layer with the Magic Wand Tool (

",this,event,"320px");">Magic Wand Tool) make a selection of the areas above the wheels. Create a new layer ( ",this,event,"320px");">Create New Layer) and name it “highlights”. Fill it with white. Use the Eraser Tool ( ",this,event,"320px");">Eraser Tool) to soften the top edges of the white arches. Using this technique, we will create glows on other areas.

Step 13
The area under the glass is directed upwards and should reflect the light.

Step 14
Lateral back I also highlighted and added a small patch of shadow.

Step 15
The threshold area should also be highlighted:

Step 16
Add a glow to the front of the car to give it more depth.

Step 17
Make a faint gradient fill for the door area.

Step 18
Darken the bumper and side areas:

Step 19
Add another shadow next to the left wheel on the door.

Step 20
Add a solid dark piece to highlight this area more.

Step 21
Select the "base" layer and make a gradient fill on the right. Play around with the opacity, you should end up with a reflection from the light on the right.

Step 22
Make a selection on the glass area and fill it with a light blue color.

Step 23
Fill the bottom half of the glass with black and lower the opacity of the layer until you get grey colour. In the upper part, make a small gradient fill and work with the opacity as well.

Step 24
Usually, the road or surroundings are reflected on the side. I created wavy shapes:

Step 25
Now light up the black lines on the door a little.

Whatever you dreamed about as a child, I'm sure you expressed your dreams in drawings. It is characteristic of man - accessible, very simple ways to express the most intimate - your soul. Children's drawings are almost always a free flight of fantasy, fantasy, alternative present, future. Looking at the drawings of children who will eventually take our jobs in the mechanism of the wheel of history, one can imagine what this very future will be like.

I don't know to whom Toyota such an idea came to mind, but this is a fact - 13 years ago, the Dream Car competition appeared in Japan. In the most computerized (in our opinion) country in the world, children were invited to pick up pencils and paints to visualize their fantasies about the car of the future on the most real paper.

The simpler the idea, the better it is. This is known for certain. The competition became almost as popular as the Tamagotchi of its time, and quickly crossed the ocean. Currently, more than 80 countries, including Russia, participate in it. This is the second year the competition has been held, but its popularity is growing like an avalanche. This year, over 7,000 entries were submitted to the contest, three times more than last year. Photos were sent by mail, brought to dealer centers Toyota across the country.

And here in front of me - forty works of the finalists. Three age groups, from preschoolers to teenagers. Three first, three second, three third places in each category, plus one winner in special categories - "Genius of Engineering", "Protection environment", "People's Choice Award".

All works are very good. According to jury member Oscar Konyukhov, who, together with his legendary father Fedor, took part in the selection of works, it was not easy to choose the winners.

The selection was strict - such experts in their field as the president of Toyota Motor LLC Hidenori Ozaki, illustrator Igor Oleinikov, auto journalist Alexander Pikulenko, head of the department "Design of Means of Transport" "stroganovka" Nikita Rozanov and many other respected people who succeeded in creating socially useful creative and creative concepts.

And what about the public good? It is clear that the cars of the future must be more than just vehicles that destroy natural resources. They should benefit people and, wherever possible, use renewable energy and recyclable materials.

There were food and entertainment prepared for the children.

If desired, the kids could try their hand at various popular professions - from a cook to an auto mechanic, from a policeman to a journalist.

Although the names of the winners and prize-winners were already posted on the website dreamcar.toyota.ru at the beginning of March, excitement, anticipation and joy were felt in the hall. There was no disappointment at all - neither the children nor their parents.

I won’t take your time quoting all the respected members of the jury, but I really liked the words of San Sanych Pikulenko: “There was such a boy Sasha. , drew the most best car Geneva Motor Show- Bugatti Chiron.

What to add to this? Even if your child doesn't plan on becoming an auto designer today, helping them dream of a brighter, cleaner, safer future is a way to increase the likelihood of it happening.

Instruction

Consider the fact that throughout the history of the automotive industry, attempts to replace wheels with other propulsion systems, at least for cars, ended in failure. The engineers returned to the four classic wheels each time with rubber tires. Maybe your attempt to come up with an alternative to them will be successful. Draw, for example, on or a superconducting magnetic suspension (the second, however, will need not an asphalt, but a steel road).

Although the electric car was invented before the car with engine internal combustion, the mass production of such machines began relatively recently. If you are painting vehicle with the hood ajar, draw an electric motor inside it (it has the shape of a cylinder) and several batteries around it. Don't forget the small control box for this motor. You can, however, fill the entire space under the hood with batteries and even partially in the trunk. After all, if you abandon the transmission and cardan and place a separate electric motor next to each wheel, the car will be more economical and more maneuverable. You can also do without local energy storage at all: since it is able to receive voltage through wires, why not draw with current collectors and a car.

It is also possible to combine in one car gasoline and electric motors. The first of them, relatively low-power, drives a generator that charges a buffer battery or supercapacitor, and the second drives the wheel. Such a car sometimes turns out to be more economical than usual due to the fact that Gas engine always works for optimal speed. Depicting hybrid car, draw both types of engines side by side, and there may be fewer batteries around them than in an electric car.

And what fuel, besides gasoline or diesel fuel, can an internal combustion engine be powered by? LPG equipment it is inexpedient to draw - the car will turn out not of the future, but of the present. According to some forecasts, a revival of gas-powered vehicles is possible in the near future. They can run on any solid fuel, which is cheaper than liquid and gaseous. The gas generator looks like a vertical cylinder located on the side wall of the machine.

Think also about the design of the car of the future. Its efficiency directly depends on the aerodynamic qualities of the body. A drop-shaped, streamlined shape can have not only the machine itself, but also its protruding elements, for example, mirrors. But much more changes will bring designers into the interior of the car. Even now, the instrument cluster in some machines is being replaced with a multifunctional indicator - a color display on which the measured parameters are presented in graphical form. And a separate one on a suction cup gradually gives way to a device built right into the dashboard.

A lesson on how to draw a car in stages is already on the site “Drawing is easy”, but now we will learn how to draw a car from a different angle – a side view. This step-by-step scheme for drawing a car is not complicated, and having mastered it, you can draw a car of absolutely any brand.

How to draw a car step by step

So, how to draw a car step by step side view. Let's start with the wheels. Let's draw a line that will be the base, and draw two circles. If it’s hard for you to draw circles “by eye”, use a curly ruler or compass. I used a curly ruler - it makes drawing much easier than sitting and drawing even circles. It is better to draw with a simple soft pencil of one of the markings from “3B” to “6B”.

Now we draw the lines of the car body. Pay attention to what shape you draw the car body. If you wondered how to draw a car with sports body, then it should be streamlined with smooth lines, as in the figure below.

Next draw Windshield And side windows car.

In order not to get confused, in the next step draw in turn: first the headlights, then the door, and Side mirror. Also do not forget to mark the wheel arches.

Well, if everything works out, then the shape of the car is already ready. But we will continue and draw the air intakes under the headlight, and on the hood.

We have reached the finish line of the lesson how to draw a car step by step! In the side windows we will draw the silhouettes of the seats and then we will carefully work on the wheels. You need to draw two circles inside the wheels. See the picture below.

When everything is ready, draw the wheel rims in any shape you like. If there are extra lines, then delete them with an eraser. The drawing of the car is ready!

All that remains to be done is to decorate the car. I leave it to you to do it yourself. I myself will take a black marker and decorate the wheels, seats and taillight.

This is the simplest scheme for drawing a car from the side. I hope you enjoyed the lesson. I look forward to seeing you in the next lessons. how to draw a car step by step from other angles that you can see or.
