Unfortunately, our VAZs have plenty of shortcomings, but this does not stop us from loving them less, 🙂 besides, their popularity has not decreased over the years. Some simply live with these shortcomings of instructors and engineers, others fix all the flaws with their own hands, each time making their car more and more perfect.

We are not looking for easy ways and prefer the second way, so once again we continue the topic, this time we will improve the VAZ 2107 stove. In this article, you will learn how to get the most out of your regular stove: how to improve the air flow of the side nozzles, reduce the noise of the stove fan, and also how to make foot warmers.

To accomplish what we have planned, we need:

  1. "Snail" from, thanks to which we will achieve noise reduction and increase air flow.
  2. Plexiglas 3 mm thick, from which the body of our modernized stove will be created.
  3. Industrial dryer for flexible plexiglass.
  4. Screws + aluminum or any other corners for connecting the stove body.

Refinement of the VAZ 2107 stove with your own hands - a step-by-step photo report

1. First of all, you need to make a case for mounting the "snail". To do this, you need to cut the plexiglass.


2. Using a hair dryer, gently bend to get this shape.


3. In the process of work, the "snail" plug was cut down in order to reduce the dimensions of the structure by about 3 cm.


4. I decided to make the side walls of 1.5 mm thick duralumin.

6. The most difficult thing, in my opinion, is working with the channels for supplying air flows to the openings of the air ducts. It was decided to make them collapsible from the same material.




7. To reduce resistance and remove turbulence did smooth turns from duralumin.


9. An optional item, but I still decided to do it for myself - I installed a variable resistor for adjusting the speed of the snail instead of a backlight brightness resistor.

Everything turned out even better than I expected. The stove works at low speeds in general silently, the air flow from the side slots is quite decent despite the multiple twists and bends of the structure. In all directions there is a uniform flow of air, which quickly and gently warms the entire cabin. At the second and third speeds, the flow is simply "crazy", so I turn it on only in case of emergency, for example, when you need to warm up quickly. Moreover, I noticed that after the modernization of the stove, an unpleasant effect called fogging of the windows disappeared, the car is dry and comfortable.

It is impossible to do without a certain amount of technical knowledge. However, those who wish to understand the principle of operation heating system car should start with simpler and available models, which are considered to be all cars of the VAZ concern. The fact is that vehicles of this manufacturer are distinguished by a simple exterior, spartan equipment and, most importantly, a very simple and affordable device. A car owner who has a VAZ-2105 at his disposal can do as much as he wants, with each step improving its properties and technical features. In the article below, we will consider a method for modifying and refining the standard stove of the machine.

Do-it-yourself modification of the VAZ-2105 stove will not require too much labor and money if the owner of the car decides to modify the standard equipment by installing coolers on side deflectors. It is worth noting that absolutely everyone should improve the VAZ-2105 heating equipment, since due to the irrational design, all the air entering the cabin goes down. Thanks to the installation of coolers, which, as a rule, PCs are equipped with, you can adjust the air flow going to the sides. Experts recommend purchasing such devices that can make at least 1500 revolutions per minute. Despite the fact that the revision of the VAZ-2105 stove will not require large costs and time, this will help increase the level of comfort.

Many motorists decide to tune the VAZ-2105 stove only because trips become uncomfortable in the cold season, the driver and passengers are cool, and the heater cannot heat the interior at a decent level. Modernization of the VAZ-2105 stove helps to solve all of the above problems.


It is necessary to replace the resistor for switching speed modes due to the fact that the volume of incoming air depends on it. At the same time, the switch that controls the rotation of the fan should be replaced. As practice shows, a stationary device is not able to miss a large air flow, due to which it melts and, accordingly, becomes unusable.

Having met an article on the Internet about the refinement of the VAZ 2107 heater, I decided to write a small post.

Get to the point. Even earlier, I met an article on the refinement of the interior heating of the VAZ 2107 - 2105, where the emphasis was placed on a significant seal of all connections in order to avoid air flow losses. This option will partly give its results, but not always.

I want to write about the finalization of the air supply source - the fan. The stove radiator itself is able to give off quite a lot of heat, there is simply not enough air flow. To solve this problem, the decision was made to use a fan motor. For comparison:

  • Standard stove fan motor VAZ classic models- 3000 ± 150 rpm with a current consumption of 4.5 A.
  • On the "chisels" we see such characteristics - 4100 ± 200 rpm, with a current consumption of 14 A!

To begin with, of course, everything was dismantled, dismantled. The scallop (1) was cut down and the fan speed control resistor was replaced. Why was this partition cut down? The fact is that when installing an electric motor from a VAZ 2108, a difficulty arises, which is due to large dimensions engine from “chisels”. And in order to completely close the heating of the legs, it must be removed.



According to the author's calculations, it should turn out almost 2 times more air.

Replacing the heater motor VAZ 2107 - 2105

The first step is to drill a hole in the impeller, diameter - 7 mm. Then carefully press the impeller onto the shaft of the “eighth” engine and, through experiments, achieve minimal vibration and noise. Important! Before installation, it is necessary to make a trial inclusion, then proceed with the installation.

You may be wondering why change the mode switching resistor? It is replaced after testing, with a standard resistor there is a fairly large air flow.

It will also be important to replace the heater fan rotation mode switch, as it is not designed for high current and simply melts. It is connected according to the scheme from the VAZ 2108, that is, as a result, we get a three-speed fan, which turns on only when the ignition is on.
