I still don’t understand how to fold the front passenger seat - what is written in the instructions - well, I don’t have such handles. You have to ask the officials. Because of this, I had to carry two-meter panels, pushing them between the front seats, which greatly complicated gear shifting. Skirting boards of 2.5 m climb into the interior of the Volkswagen Golf Plus easily and there is still room. I took out a shelf of a flat floor from the trunk - well, I don’t need it, plus I won in the volume of the trunk. For 7000 km, I added only gasoline and liquid to the windshield washer reservoir in the Volkswagen Golf Plus. I began to drive around the city more (we have a 40 km / h limit) and the consumption became 8.3 liters per hundred. It's still better than the previous car - 12.5 liters in the same city. I found drawers under the front seats and under the steering wheel - there is nothing to put, but I was pleasantly pleased. The rear seats move forward by 20 cm, convenient, but not yet useful. There are 12-volt sockets in 3 places: in the ashtray, at the passengers and in the trunk (here I connect the refrigerator). There is a crankcase and underbody protection (plastic), on which stones knock loudly on a gravel road, but still for me this is more of a plus than a minus. The suspension of the Volkswagen Golf Plus at first seemed stiff compared to the Mercedes, which is not surprising, but now I don’t notice it, but after riding the Ford Mondeo station wagon, it seemed to be soft.

Everything is in its place, you don’t need to frantically search for anything - everything is in front of your eyes. The on-board computer fits very organically into the panel and shows the readings of the car very legibly and in Russian. The front seats have a very convenient adjustment, so a person of any build up to 2 meters tall will definitely find a comfortable fit without any pain. The rear seats are divided: seats into 2, and backs into 3 parts. The Volkswagen Golf Plus is very easy to drive, the brakes work very competently, the car stops very clearly and gently, the passengers do not peck their noses. The base has a wear indicator for the front pads. The suspension works moderately hard, but does not reach breakdowns. A couple of times I got into decent pits - it was practically not felt in the cabin. In the summer we went on vacation to Pskov - 900 km one way from Tula. The machine was loaded somewhere half of its capacity. By the way, the carrying capacity of the Volkswagen Golf Plus is one of the largest in the class - 637 kg, so the consumption on the highway was around 6 liters. In urban mode, 8-10, depending on the mode of movement, while in both cases the climate is constantly on. As for the clearance - 160 mm.

Design is always a matter of taste, but I really like the Volkswagen Golf Plus. True, it is this restyled "Plus" - the previous version is somehow not very expressive. Our car has Climatronic - which is a 2-zone climate control. Someone needs a conventional semi-automatic air conditioner, but I am more than satisfied with the "Climate" - I set the "Auto" button to 22 degrees and forgot about the atmosphere settings in the cabin. It is clearly worth its 7 thousand rubles. Music native RCD 310 8 speakers. Management of the on-board computer and a radio tape recorder on a multirudder (option). What can I say - good regular music as good as it can be. I'm not a music lover and I have enough bass and mids "with my head". Noise isolation is, as always, subjective, but compared, for example, with the previous “Focus” additionally “noisy” by me and the same “Mondeo” in the Volkswagen Golf Plus, it is noticeably more comfortable. Not the Audi A8, but the difference is quite noticeable. 1.2 TSI 175 Nm available already from 1500 to 4000 rpm make themselves felt. If you look at the numbers, then in terms of torque they are comparable to the data of very good “aspirated” 1.6 and good 1.8. But not a single “aspirated” gives such a smooth and long shelf of torque as these TSI “engines”. In fact, we have a very elastic motor that, according to my feelings, rides no worse than my previous Focus with its 280 Nm, but in a much shorter range. In the city, the Volkswagen Golf Plus engine is more than enough; on the highway, its traction is more than enough for any reasonable overtaking.

Advantages : comfort. Spaciousness. Dynamics and thrust of the engine. Controllability. DSG.

The Volkswagen Golf Plus was first announced in 2004, shortly after the release of the generation. Differences Golf from Golf Plus

It's time to move on to the characteristics of the Volkswagen Golf Plus. From the moment of release to restyling, only 3 types of engines were installed on the car: 1.6, 1.9 and 2 liters. In addition to gasoline, there were also diesel ones, but they were more popular in Europe.

Gasoline units of 1.6 and 2 liters had a capacity of 102 and 150 liters. With. Worked in tandem with both manual and automatic. On 1.2 engines, these figures are 7.5 and 5 liters, for 1.4 - 5 and 8 (9) liters, and, finally, the upgraded 1.6 consumes 5.5 (6) - 9 (10.5) liters.

The trunk volume of the car is 395 liters, but if you fold the row of rear seats, you can get all 1450.

Modifications

Now that the technical characteristics of the Volkswagen Golf Plus are over, you can move on to car modifications. Before restyling, according to the data, there were 3 of them: Trendline, Sportline and Comfortline. After 2008, Sportline and Comfortline disappeared, and new ones appeared in their place - Match and CrossGolf.

There were no special differences between the modifications. Basically, the difference was in individual elements of the car, for example, chrome on the bumpers or a leather steering wheel in the cabin. There are no differences at all in terms of a set of safety options - the set of airbags was the same. Exceptions are individual options, such as Take Me Home, adaptive lighting, climate control, and more.

In addition, the differences in configurations were in the upholstery. For example, Trendline had an exclusively fabric interior, CrossGolf, in addition to fabric, could also have leather, but Match was equipped only with a combined upholstery (leather + fabric).

The only significant difference between the three modifications was the clearance and wheel size. The ground clearance of the CrossGolf was 180 mm and the discs were 17 inches in diameter. As for the Trendline and Match, they had a ground clearance of 160 mm and a wheel size of 15 inches.
