But the Picasso is 37mm wider and, most importantly, a whopping 12cm taller! This is what made it possible to accommodate three rows of seats in a compact body.
But what is nice, the car does not look at all like a short-haired fat man. French designers have managed to give the appearance of an essentially utilitarian car that very famous French charm and elegance. 1. Appearance. The car looks, in my opinion, more interesting than the previous model, largely due to other headlights and DRL headlights located on top.2. Salon. Keyless entry is a fairy tale: you approach the car, touch the door handle, and the car comes to life (blinks friendly, opens mirrors and invites you to proceed on board, illuminating the space in front of the doors). The seats are quite comfortable (the back after 4 hours did not remind of itself), there are many pockets and glove compartments. The rear seats can be moved back and forth, the slope of all the backs is adjustable, the chairs can be removed to a flat floor.
3. Diesel. Acceleration of a 1.6 diesel engine is rather mediocre (about 13 seconds to 100 km / h), but acceptable for normal driving. The average consumption is about 5-6 liters / 100 km. The motor itself is quiet.
4. Box. How did I remember the kind word DSG Superb, comparing it with the Citroen checkpoint. On Superb: gas to the floor, and hurricane acceleration went with a slight twitch when changing speeds using 2 clutches; on Citroen: gas to the floor and every time you change gears, it feels like someone is sitting on the cable behind you, and at the moment of switching, the cable is pulled out and the car pulls back.
5. Body. The second fly in the ointment is streamlining. At a speed of more than 120 km / h, I strongly advise you not to drive! If you almost don’t feel the speed on the Superb, then on the C4 Picasso there is a slight twitching of the body (an obvious influence of turbulent flows behind the car), so I held the steering wheel with a stone grip, as it seemed that you would wobble a little and the car would fly somersault.

We have a 116 horsepower diesel, which feels like a 150 horsepower gasoline, although the robot still does not reveal the full potential of the engine. Of course, after gasoline, diesel seems to be just a rocket, and even the consumption in the combined cycle is about 6.5 liters + loaded 650 kg of cement in bags - the car pulls just fine!
It steers perfectly on the highway, the stabilization of the car is what you need, although, of course, there are rolls in long turns. The seats are comfortable, but very easily soiled, I will take the next car with a leather interior.
The hairdryer is also pleasing, in winter, when you enter the car, warm air starts to blow in a minute. There is a 2-zone climate + the rear passengers also have air ducts, it is turned on separately on the monitor.
Shumka in the car is great, the music is also, of course, not Bose, but pretty well. Convenient function — electric trunk lid, does not get dirty in the winter.

I chose a car for a long time - the family has grown, and we no longer fit into any sedan (3 children, 2 of them are in chairs). Citroen liked the possibility of transforming the cabin + unusual design. I took a trade-in car with a mileage of 1,000 km. There are few used offers for this model, so there was no need to choose a color.
Now for the merits:
1. A lot of smart and sophisticated electronics, it really helps on the road.
2. I was very pleased with the transformation of the cabin, the microlift of the 2nd row of seats is a very convenient thing, and with the seats fully shifted back, you can walk along the aisle of the 2nd row. When using the 3rd row, the 2nd row must be moved forward to free up legroom for passengers.
3. The trunk is large, with separate lighting. All seats fold down comfortably.
4. The engine is powerful enough, it is enough for a 1.5-ton machine, and when overtaking and accelerating, the turbine works very well. Consumption on the highway 6-8 liters, in the city with all traffic jams - about 11 liters. This is 3 liters more than according to the passport, but, with a run of 5,000 km, I think that the engine has not yet been run-in, so I’m not very upset.
5. Automatic transmission works clearly, almost without delay. The American location of the automatic transmission lever “strained” a little, but then I got used to it. At first, when overtaking, I used paddle shifters, but I already studied the capabilities of the car quite well and stopped using them.
6. Light is a bomb, it turns itself on / off.
Of the minuses — a fairly stiff suspension. Breaks even on small pits and obstacles with a steep edge. Well, while frustrating consumption of gasoline. In general, the car fully met the expectations. My rating is 4.8 out of 5.

What are my impressions on the highway: the first kilometers drove 90 km / h, and the average consumption on the computer showed 6.8 liters, then at 100 km / h - the consumption was 7.4 liters, and at 120 km / h - 8.2 or 8, 4 (forgot).
I really liked the noise, nothing creaks, the quality of the plastic is simply excellent both visually and to the touch. There is no smell of plastic in the cabin, which, in my opinion, is also a plus, since my friend X Trail stinks for three years. The tachometer turns at 120 km / h - about 2,000.
Acceleration is very peppy, that from a place that is in motion. It is worth pressing the pedal a little harder, as the car immediately drops 2 or 3 gears and shoots, while the sound of the engine is heard in the cabin. On the track, the suspension works very comfortably, although there have been no frankly bad roads yet, but what happened was just without comment. While I can't tell if the suspension is softer or stiffer than my previous C-Max, it just works differently.
The Ford steers definitely better, even despite the higher mileage, probably due to the multi-link at the back. The headlights are probably better than those of the Ford, if only because the Ford has already worn glass.
The work of the climate is very pleasing, everything is quiet, evenly, nothing sweats. It’s comfortable to sit behind the wheel, you don’t have to get used to it after Ford, since the pedals are well positioned, but I would like the steering wheel to be a couple of centimeters closer in reach.
The screen from which you control the auto, climate and radio systems works quite adequately, without brakes. From the negative: periodically there is a cricket in the front left (not loud, but there is).
